is scrutinized and analyzed,

the merits of each debated until a few of the
worthiest remain.

The ballots are cast,

I never made it to Switzerland.

Naturally, I cashed in the trip
to pay off the mortgage.

for the rest of the day.

It was the first time I ate a meal
I didn't have to cook,
