stereode worked in Iraq worked in Sudan
I worked in Ukraine tea grey wars
this is my seventh war
but mass casualties on this scale
on this frequency of civilians
is entirely new to me and unique
here it's 70
115 135
189 265 just in July
the sheer mass of civilians
injured and killed by relentless Israeli airstrikes
is like nothing he's ever seen before
it doesn't compare I worked
I worked in emergency medicine in the UK
and I was working through the Westminster Bridge
and London Bridge and 7
7 terror attack seven
7 was something that came close
you know there was several explosions
there were many hospitals
but that's one instance in 20 years
I had four bigger instances in nine days
in a hospital that's working
in a system that's on its knees supplies
fuel staff
on June 8th two days after he arrived in Gaza
the rescue by Israeli forces of four hostages
had been held captive by Hamas
made international headlines
but at hospitals including Nassau Medical Center
casualties from the operation
some of them children were flooding in
the mass casualty that day was hundreds of people
and one was a young girl burnt head to toe
I remember seeing her in the garden
when our counselor was doing a puppet show
and she you know to
to avoid contractors
you have to put them in stiff dressings
and she's tiny child in stiff dressings like this
watching this puppet show
and my heart breaks for though for that untold story
it the injustice of having collateral damage
of that nature
she's scarred for life that girl
because a couple of weeks after that
there was a strike right in front of the hospital
we got 30 minutes warning and this girl
our windows face the front
it was right in front of 50 meters away
50 meters away
huge air strike and the terror on her face
and that's gonna stay with her for life
The Gaza Health Ministry says
the number of people killed in the conflict
has now reached more than 40,000
from what Doctor Javid saw and filmed
while he was there
he believes the true figure is much higher
I really want the world
to guard against the normalization of that
it's not normal it's not normal it's not acceptable
in these mass casualties
the other thing that was different was
apart from the share number
and the share number of children
there were also again
the one and 13th
the second wave were healthcare workers
ambulance men in their uniforms 15
20 of them after the first wave
what does that mean have they been hit
have they been attacked well they've been injured
and while international journalists can't enter Gaza
to verify first hand
what is happening Doctor
Javid's calling on the prime minister to intervene
and stop the killing when will enough be enough
there is no more to say
it's happening in front of everybody we're all watching
