Jin,

why are your hands so cold?

Are you feeling unwell?

It's just the strong wind at night.

Don't worry.

This time in Yejing,

it's the first time that

you, Shen Yu, and I

are together, right?

But you know what?

When I saw you

with Shen Yu,

it made me think

you are a perfect couple.

Back then,

when I saw how Shen Yu loved

and protected you,

I actually envied you.

And I was happy for you.

If

the crime in Jiangzhou didn't happen,

and if your parents

were still alive,

you and Shen Yu

would have already married

and lived a carefree life.

Ling,

"if"

is the most beautiful lie

in this world.

Instead of indulging yourself

to live in such a lie,

I'd rather open my eyes

and see the truth.

At least I can be more sober.

I can see

your feelings for Shen Yu.

If I want to seek justice

for my parents,

I must

cut off this relationship with my own hands.

There is no turning back.

I don't understand.

He is so cool

and is indifferent to fame or gains.

He likes to live a leisurely and free life.

Even

in a place like the administration of Nandian,

he has never changed.

He is unworldly.

But I need revenge.

So I have to be worldly.

The last thing I want to see

is that Shen Yu gets implicated

because of me.

Because I know

he hates that kind of things

the most.

So

this is love?

Why did you keep saying silly things today?

Stop talking about me. Let's talk about you.

Have you made up your mind

about what I asked you that day?

Compared with

your love for Shen Yu,

my feelings for Shen Yan

are nothing.

Don't be silly.

Love things can't be compared

like this.

Jin,

after we enter the city,

drop me

at the tavern in the center of the street.

I want to take a walk alone.

[Administration of Beidian]

No wonder you can't get a wife.

You've decided to

spend the rest of your life with work.

Mind your own business.

The things you're looking for

are all here.

Yun Yi.

He should be called Lu Lianshan.

He must have something important

left in the north.

I'll ask His Majesty

to allow me to go to the north.

In such a hurry?

The Double Seventh Festival is coming.

The old man of Family Lu

will present a feast in his mansion.

He has invited ladies

of all noble families in the capital

to accompany

his precious granddaughter Liu Runxiang

to celebrate the Double Seventh Festival.

That day will be the perfect time

to sneak in

and steal the Kun jade.

You

get this done

before heading to Xuanwu Town in the north.

Got it.

I forgot to tell you this.

Your Princess Changle

has been really upset.

They said it's because

you are in trouble,

but there is nothing she can do.

She can't help at all

and has been increasingly upset at the thought of it.

So she ran out at night

and bought more than ten pots of wine

in the market

in order to get drunk and forget the worries.

At this moment,

I think

she must be drinking alone

in her bedroom.

If you are not busy,

you can go and have a look.

Shen Yan.

You're here.

Perfect timing.

Let's forget our worries together.

Shen Yan,

didn't we agree not to meet again?

Why are you

in my dream again?

I see you in my dream every day,

but why do I still

cry over missing you so much?

You're drunk.

I'm not drunk.

Ling Bi told me

that

if I really love someone,

I will

cry over missing him so much.

But every time

I see you,

I smile.

In this case,

my feelings for you

may not be real.

So I can't meet you.

So

you don't want to

meet me

because of that, right?

Fine.

Keep thinking.

I'm leaving.

No.

Shen Yan.

You...

At least in my dream,

you can't leave me alone.

Okay.

Shen Yan, you are really nice.

If that's the case,

I hope

I can hold you forever,

and we will never part.

And I hope I'll

never wake up from this dream.

♫ My longing for you runs like an endless song ♫

♫ I love you to the moon and back ♫

♫ I promise to love you always ♫

♫ I never want to say goodbyes to you ♫

♫ You are in my dreams; you are in my heart ♫

♫ My untold thoughts, my lovesickness ♫

♫ Your love for me is like my love for you ♫

♫ We'll never feel lonely in the world ♫

♫ I'll share your wishes in the coming years ♫

♫ All the love poems fail to portray my love for you ♫

♫ I only want to spend the rest of my life with you ♫

♫ And indulge in the world holding your hand ♫

It's a dream?

If it's a dream,

I'll just dream a little longer.

Jin.

Ling,

you drank?

Your Highness,

why did you

drink so much?

I was planning to go back to sleep.

I had

a very beautiful dream.

Why did you

come so early in the morning?

I intended to

discuss something important

with you.

But I didn't expect that

you want me to leave

before I take a seat.

Anyway,

it's just something about

Lord Shen.

I won't disturb you

dreaming then.

Jin, Jin.

I'm sorry!

Come on.

Sit down.

I'm sorry, Jin.

Tell me.

Your Lord Shen

wants to sneak into Lu's Mansion to get the Kun jade.

I heard that the two brothers

plan to steal the jade

on the occasion of the Double Seventh Festival in several days.

It's not easy

to sneak into Lu's Mansion

and leave safely.

What do you want me to do?

Just tell me.

To help them leave safely,

someone will need

to create an opportunity for them

on that day.

In Yejing,

no one is more suitable

than you.

You want me to make a scene?

Are you interested?

Of course.

The mother and daughter of Family Lu

used Yue Ling

to set me up

and killed Shen Oink.

I haven't

found a chance

to take revenge.

What is your plan?

Tell me.

It's a secret.

When that day comes,

you'll know.

Steward.

Bad news!

Steward, bad news!

Why are you shouting?

Steward, something happened.

Princess Changle

brought a dozen guards

and is fighting her way in.

Let's go.

No one is allowed to get in.

Move!

Move!

Get up.

What are you doing?

What are you doing?

Move!

Back off!

Let us in!

What are you doing?

Don't stand in the way.

Move!

Let us in!

No!

Hurry.

Get out of the way!

Move!

Move!

Back off!

Stop pushing.

Your Highness, this...

Why are you doing this?

Finally, a steward is here.

I want to get in.

Tell them to back off.

Your Highness.

It's not that I don't want you to get in.

Master and Young Master

repeatedly told us that

those who don't have an invitation

can't get in.

Your Highness, you are a noble lady.

Why do you bother

to embarrass us?

You have invited ladies

of all noble families in the capital

to the feast.

But you didn't invite me deliberately.

You showed no respect

for me.

It makes me embarrassed too.

Come on.

This...

Clear the way.

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

This...

Steward,

what should we do?

Cut the crap!

Hurry up and stay close.

[Lu's Mansion]

Your Highness.

Who are you?

What a coincidence.

You are all here.

Liu Ling.

You came here

uninvited today.

After all, you are a princess crowned by His Majesty.

If word gets out tomorrow,

I'm afraid

you'll find yourself in a really embarrassing situation.

I am not you.

I'm here today

to seek justice

for Yue Ling.

Justice?

What justice?

I really don't understand

what you said.

As we all know,

a few days ago, Yue Ling, a maid of Family Lu,

had a miscarriage because of Your Highness.

So she killed herself in grief and anger.

Two innocent people

died.

In terms of justice,

it should be we

seek justice for them from you.

Mr. Lu, don't be

in such a hurry to slander me.

Today,

the first thing I want to tell you

is about Yue Ling's miscarriage.

Come out.

This is

a doctor of Huichun Clinic.

A few days ago,

Yue Ling went to Huichun Clinic for treatment.

Tell everyone

what happened back then.

Tell us

how long it will take for the medicine to kick in

after taking it?

Your Highness,

after about an hour,

it will definitely work.

Then why did Yue Ling

fell at the front door of the House of Duke Dingbei

several days after she got in the House of Duke Dingbei?

So this is what happened.

I don't understand it.

After thinking about it,

I have

an unkind idea.

Maybe Yue Ling knew

that the baby in her belly

was not allowed to come to this world.

So she wanted to set a trap.

That's why she decided to go to the House of Duke Dingbei

before the miscarriage.

Yue Ling died because of you,

but you're talking nonsense here.

You've gone too far.

Do you think

you can confuse right and wrong

by just finding

a doctor to

talk nonsense?

This is the second thing

I want to talk to you about.

What is this about?

This...

Why...

Gosh.

Why is the body moved here?

This...

This is so unlucky.

This is so unlucky.

Why did you move the corpse

here?

Liu Ling.

She is already dead.

What else do you want?

The dead comes first.

No offense.

But I need

to seek justice for Yue Ling,

who died wrongly.

Mr. Lu just said

Yue Ling jumped into a river and died

because she was sad and angry due to the miscarriage,

right?

Yes.

Everyone in the capital knows about this.

Do you still want to find yourself an excuse?

According to the record of the coroner of the administration of Beidian,

Yue Ling's face shows cyanosis

and there are blood spots.

No sign of swelling due to effusion in the chest or abdomen.

That means

Yue Ling didn't drown.

She was stifled to death by someone,

and her body was thrown into the river.

That day, Yue Ling

fell at the front door of the House of Duke Dingbei

and bled.

The House of Duke Dingbei asked someone

to send her back to Lu's Mansion.

Like you said,

everyone in the capital

knows it.

But why was a person

entering your mansion alive

stifled to death?

Why was her body thrown into the river?

And why did someone make it look like a suicide?

About that,

shouldn't Family Lu

give an explanation?

Mr. Lu,

I am

waiting for your explanation.

Young Master, it's done.

Calm down, Your Highness.

The butler said

our residence had been burgled.

Luckily he found out in time

and has locked the thief

in the study.

Yue Ling's case can wait.

I will spend time to explain it to you

after I catch that thief.

Lu Mingshan, stop!

Your Highness,

the thief they are talking about...

Go take a look.

Lu Mingshan!

Open the door.

Lu Mingshan, stop!

Your Highness,

you think thoroughly

and can see things clearly.

Would you take a guess?

Who is the thief

locked in the room?

Don't try to distract me

and avoid the real issue here.

I wouldn't dare to do so.

It's just a matter of priorities.

After I catch this thief

and send him to the authority,

I will look into that case with you.

Don't you dare move.

Your Highness,

this is the property of Lu's Mansion.

If you want to make a scene,

go pick another place.

Lu Mingshan,

don't forget that I'm

Jiangzhou's number one wicked woman.

I don't care whose place it is.

I'm here today

to demanded an explanation

for Yue Ling.

This matter hasn't been solved yet.

How can I leave it unsettled?

Yue Ling was a maid who was

bought by our Lu’s Mansion.

Even if

we killed her, you are in no position

to stand up for her.

Oh yeah?

Before Yue Ling died,

she took shelter at the House of Duke Dingbei purposefully.

She said she wanted to be my server.

This indenture was sent

by your aunt,

my stepmother personally.

It's our men from the House of Duke Dingbei

that you want to kill,

not people from the Lu's Mansion.

Young Master.

Your Highness,

if you keep messing around,

we will hurt you.

Hit him for me!

Hit this heartless man.

I'll reward you one tael for one hit.

If you hit him ten times, I'll reward you ten taels.

What are you waiting for?

Do it now!

Stop it.

Your Highness, look.

Liu Quan hit three times.

Uncle Hei Wu hit ten times.

We will beat you to death.

We will beat you to death.

You malicious animal.

Knock it off.

Stop it.

Liu Ling,

are you done?

You had him beaten up.

And you took your revenge.

If you are still angry,

you can appeal to the government .

We will compensate her

according to the government's decision.

You will definitely get a satisfactory result.

If there's nothing else, get out of our way

so we can catch the thief.

Unlock the door.

Don't you dare!

I'm Princess Changle,

who is crowned by His Majesty.

Do you all want to die?

Fine.

If this matter gets reported

to His Majesty

and he is determined to protect you,

I, Lu Mingshan, will take full responsibility.

They wouldn't dare. I would.

Are you gonna move or not?

I'm not.

Are you okay?

Shen Yan.

What are you doing here?

Mr. Lu,

did you lose something?

Open the door now! Open the door now!

Help!

Open the door!

Isn't it Junior Princess's voice?

Yes. It's her voice.

-How did she get locked inside? - Anyone out there?

-Since this is a misunderstanding, - Open the door now!

I am

taking Her Highness

back home.

Open the door!

Let's go.

Hurry!

Open the door!

Come on. Get up. Go.

Cousin,

Someone hit me. Look!

Who hit me?

Show yourself now!

Butler.

Young Master.

Go into the room with me.

Yes.

Shen Yan has succeeded.

He will take actions

in the future.

Go tell Hu Xiao

to spy on

Shen Yan and Xu Shijin.

When the opportunity arises,

kill Shen Yan

and take back my jade.

So I can get revenge

for my humiliation today.

Yes.

The chaos

at Lu's Mansion earlier

was...

was part of your plan?

I have confronted Family Lu many times

about the murder of Yue Ling,

to make Lu Mingshan

feel uneasy.

Being a cautious person,

he would carry the Kun jade with him

ever since he knew

I was after it.

The study in Lu's Mansion

is a trap.

So I played him at his own game

by letting him think that he succeeded.

My opportunity came

when he let his guard down.

Shen Yu's temperament

hasn't changed at all.

So mischievous.

Your Highness,

I'd like to tell you something.

Take a walk with me, please.

I have to take care of something.

I have to go.

Your Highness.

What?

Let's go and take a look.

Go.

Go have a look. Let's go.

Your Highness, how long are you

going to ignore me?

Ten days to half a month?

Three, five or seven years?

Or you won't meet me for the rest of our lives?

I received a secret imperial edict from the Eastern Palace.

I will leave for the north tomorrow.

Before I go,

I want an explanation from you.

I...

♫ My longing for you runs like an endless song ♫

Plead for skills by threading a needle.

♫ I love you to the moon and back ♫

Anyone who can thread the string through seven needle holes

can get a red string for love.

♫ I promise to love you always ♫

Come and take a look.

Come and take a look.

♫ I never want to say goodbyes to you ♫

Miss,

would you

like to try?

♫ You are in my dreams; you are in my heart ♫

♫ My untold thoughts, my lovesickness ♫

Can this red string really bring love?

♫ Your love for me is like my love for you ♫

Yes, of course.

Miss, look.

This red string

♫ We’ll never feel lonely in the world ♫

is specifically requested

from the Vega Temple.

If you plead for skills successfully,

and put this red string

on your boyfriend's wrist,

you two will stay together forever.

♫ I’ll share your wishes in the coming years ♫

Give it a try.

♫ All the love poems fail to portray my love for you ♫

♫ I promise to take your hand and grow old with you ♫

♫ Don't ask about the way home. I just want to be by your side for life ♫

♫ I will give you a lifelong promise, just as you wish ♫

Don't rush, Miss.

Take your time.

♫ Your every wish will come true. It's worth the wait ♫

No. No.

Do you want to try again, Miss?

I'd like to try.

Good. Give it a try, Sir.

♫ I only want to spend the rest of my life with you ♫

♫ And indulge in the world holding your hand ♫

It's not easy

for Her Highness and Lord Shen to meet.

Why they don't seem to

get along with each other?

What do you know?

It's called a tacit understanding.

Silence is golden at the moment.

Don't comment if you don't understand.

You...

You...

Luo Fan, wait here.

Sir, you're very skillful.

Here.

Take this red string

and give it to your loved one.

Thank you.

I didn't get

the red string for love,

but you did.

So it means that

I'm not the one for you.

Don't you always

want an explanation?

I'm telling you

you should...

should give

this red string

to a better girl.

We...We...

We... We are...

Funny how you feel wronged.

Why are you being so hard on yourself,

since you can't say it?

Shen Yan,

there is a barrier in my heart

that I cannot cross.

I can't think about

things in the future.

I can't make a promise to be with you

for the rest of my life either.

I feel like I don't deserve you.

So I don't want to be attached to you.

Why are you laughing?

I'm laughing because last night

you said something different.

Last...

Lord,

the criminals escorted by Ministry of Punishments

were snatched during chaos.

Right now

they are running off on streets.

If we don't catch them soon enough,

there will be dangers and disasters.

Got it. You can go.

Okay.

You have work to do.

I'm going home now.

I want you to go with me.

You know Shen Yan,

but you don't know Stern-faced Yama.

You said you didn't deserve me.

We can discuss that

after I show you

the world of Yama.

What do you think?

Are you afraid?

I'm not afraid

when you're with me.

What's wrong?

How can you be so careless?

It's okay.

There will be... two more stitches.

Okay. It's done. There you go.

Jade bracelet.

Miss,

anything you like here?

This one is pretty.

You have such good taste, Miss.

This hairpin

suits you perfectly, Miss.

How much is it?

Four taels.

I'll pass. It's too expensive.

Miss,

-It's a great deal, Miss. - No, thank you.

Ling Bi,

Sir, take a look.

How much is it, Mister?

Four taels.

How much?

Four taels.

Here you go. Here you go.

Wrap it nicely for me.

Okay, Sir.

Am I heavy?

It's just you held me too tightly.

Wait for me here.

Bow down and plea guilty,

and I'll spare your lives.

Stern-faced Yama,

do you want to get killed?

Jinlin's night travel

is for the job of killing.

My dirty hands

will never be clean my whole life.

They are bad people.

They deserved it,

even though it saddens me.

The one who kills

must be prepared to be killed.

Stern-faced Yama

lives an unstable life

involving bloodshed.

Your Highness, do you still think

you don't deserve a man like me?

You are afraid.

This is the first time

I've seen that look of yours.

You should leave.

No.

Stern-faced Yama is scary.

But you asked me to wait for you here.

And I will always wait for you.

Shen Yan,

I don't deserve you,

but I'm not willing to let you

wonder alone between life and death

You won't be lonely

if I'm by your side.

Maybe...

maybe I can't make

a lifelong promise.

But before you find the one

who can give you

her whole life,

I can...

♫ My longing for you runs like an endless song ♫

♫ I love you to the moon and back ♫

♫ I promise to love you always ♫

♫ I never want to say goodbyes to you ♫

[Can they bear a separate homeward way]

The Magpie Bridge.

Where does it lead?

♫ Green, green the reed ♫

Come in, please.

Miss,

I really admire your beautiful voice.

I came here today

to see you on purpose,

Miss Ru Yu.

I also would like to hear you sing,

for sentimental reasons.

Why are you laughing?

Nothing.

Your words reminded me

of a gentleman.

He always says things like that

when he is here.

Don't mind me, Miss.

Please wait a moment.

♫ Green, green the reed. Dew and frost gleam ♫

♫ Where's she I need? Beyond the stream ♫

♫ Upstream I go. The way is long ♫

♫ Downstream I go. She is there among ♫

Fireworks. Fireworks.

Buy some fireworks, Sir.

Fireworks!

Newly arrived fireworks.

Sir,

would you like some fireworks?

I will take all of them.

All of them?

Here.

Okay!

I'm wrapping them up for you now.
