My lord.

Look.

Her Highness

has brought all the best vegetarian food

of Yejing here.

Please have some.

Take it away.

Well, my lord.

Look at the food.

We can tell

even if we take some randomly

it's prepared by Her Highness for your stomach.

I really don't know

what Her Highness is intended to this time.

But she loves you.

Well...

Lord, please have...

[Lu's Mansion]

The officials of the administration of Beidian

are as persistent as hanging ghosts.

They follow

wherever our men go.

That's right.

Mr. Lu,

what happened to us

is all because of you.

You didn't say a word.

Is that proper?

That's right.

Lord Li,

what do you mean?

If you hadn't flirted with ladies

and offended Princess Changle...

How could Shen Yan

collude with her?

Now Shen Yan

is openly targeting the Lu's Mansion.

I think

his joint investigation is fake.

Being jealous with you

is real.

How did I flirt with ladies?

Alright.

Please calm down, Duke Lu.

-Lord Liu! -Lord Liu!

-Lord Liu! -Lord Liu!

Please calm down, Duke Lu.

Lord Liu.

Don't worry, everyone.

Mr. Lu has ordered me

to record the documents

of Shen Yan's trace these days.

The document to sue him

has been drafted

after discussion.

Please take a look, everyone.

Tomorrow,

we can make a joint complaint

and punish him for abusing his power.

-Great. -Lord Liu.

Grandfather,

-Please have a look. -OK.

What Lord Liu said in your letter

shows your care about the country and the court.

It's quite sincere.

Thank you.

I should

definitely contribute to such good deed.

Prepare the brush and ink.

Yes.

Father.

I didn't expect

Shan to let Lord Liu of the Ministry of Punishments

to be the leader to draft

a joint letter to report Shen Yan.

He has really improved.

But Shen Yan

is really hard to deal with.

He's determined to be

against the Lu family.

I wonder

what that bitch Liu Ling

has done to persuade him.

Father,

I've been anxious

these days.

Do you think the old case in Jiangzhou

can be revealed

by him?

You...

I've already asked you to get rid of her.

You didn't do it

due to her blood of Liu Lishan.

You said

you would definitely watch her closely.

In the end,

leaving Princess Changle as a problem.

She first sent the bitch Xu

into the Eastern Palace

and left me not dare do anything.

Now, she hooked up with Shen Yan.

All of them

have become rivals

of the Family Lu now.

Father.

At this point,

there is no need to talk such nonsense.

Forget it.

This young man

is nothing to be afraid of.

I've discussed it with Shan.

Submitting a joint letter is a clear spear.

Shen Yan breaking into the mansion

is to search for evidence on the surface.

In fact, he's looking for

the Kun jade left by Yun Yi.

When he comes again,

I still have a hidden arrow

waiting for him.

♫ With time flying by ♫

♫ We sometimes laugh, sometimes sigh ♫

♫ It seems we don't care about anything ♫

♫ But we can't hide from the fateful meeting ♫

♫ With you by my side, I'm not afraid of anything ♫

♫ Your eyes are smiling, is it because you know I'm missing? ♫

Shen Xiaoyu.

♫ We already knew what each other was thinking ♫

♫ Never ask for forever, just for days and nights ♫

What did you call me?

Lord Shen.

♫ I come to you, across the sea and mountains ♫

You didn't call me that just now.

♫ The hidden words deep in your heart ♫

Your face changed so fast.

Let's go.

[Thousands of Ships Competing]

Please come in.

[Administrator of Nandian]

Shen Xiaoyu.

This story is amazing.

Can I tell you?

When Pangu created the world,

a goddess

was granted hundreds of flower seeds by her father.

He ordered her to take the essence of all directions

and cultivate them day and night.

And he wanted to use it to decorate the fairyland.

Then...

Guess what happened next?

When the flowers blossomed,

her father was happy and wanted to reward her.

The goddess who planted flowers

knelt down and gave a kowtow.

She said the spirit of flowers came from all directions.

How can they be shown only in the fairyland?

After that,

she took the flower leaves

from the fairyland,

and spread them to the world.

Later in this mortal world,

there are flowers.

Am I right?

Shen Xiaoyu.

Why do you know everything?

Tell me.

When did you read it?

Why didn't you tell me?

Because I wanted to wait for you to read it

and tell me.

OK. You even slack off in this.

Don't hit me! Don't hit me!

Stop running! Stop!

What are you thinking?

It's just

something unimportant.

It's none of your business.

Sit here.

Come here.

Come.

I was wondering who you are.

It turns out to be Commander Shen

who barged into my mansion at midnight.

Even if you are searching for evidence,

it's against the rules, right?

The entire Lu family

are all related to

the Yue Ling's case.

I knocked on your door just now,

but no one answered.

I was afraid something happened

in your mansion,

so I came in to have a look.

You think too much, Lord Shen.

You are so cautious, Mr. Lu.

I'm very satisfied.

But I still have to remind you.

Don’t slack off.

Otherwise,

I won't just come in

next time.

Okay.

I will keep

your words in mind.

If there's nothing else,

please leave.

Goodbye.

Young Master.

According to your order,

I blew out the candles

when Shen Yan broke into the mansion.

Is there any mistake?

Perfect.

Since he has taken the bait,

we'll just wait for him.

[Thousands of Ships Competing]

It's getting late.

Please leave, Lady-in-waiting Xu.

Staying up late

is not good for health.

I'm not tired.

You don't have to worry about me, Lord.

You misunderstood.

I'm getting older.

Although you took good care of me today,

I still can't take it.

Since you can't take it,

why don't you go back on your own, Lord?

Look at this.

There is a capable man in the north

called Lu He.

He was originally a descendant of Gongshu.

He was famous for his craftsmanship.

Among the items he built,

there is a treasure box of mechanism.

It's exquisite.

And this.

Look, it's written in this book.

This box is eight inches long.

And three inches deep.

Things can be put inside.

There is gunpowder inside the walls.

If

it is not opened by the Qian and Kun jade together,

it will explode and destroy itself.

So the Qian and Kun jade

are the keys to this box.

Really?

Shen Xiaoyu.

Is the bag taken by

Commander Shen

from Yun Yi

with you now?

Lu Lianshan.

[Lu Lianshan]

The name on the book

is Lu He.

Could it be that...

they are brothers

or father and son?

Wrong.

They're master and disciple.

You knew it.

What else do you know?

Nothing.

Lu Lianshan

was a master of mechanism,

the only disciple

of Lu He.

He was best at making secret rooms of mechanism.

A few years ago,

Family Lu recruited him

as a follower.

His Majesty had also thought about

recruiting him to the palace.

Unfortunately,

not long after the imperial edict was issued,

Lu Lianshan had a quick disease

and died suddenly.

You mean Lu Lianshan died?

He died four years

before the Jiangzhou case.

Shen Xiaoyu,

you knew about this long ago.

Why didn't you tell me

about such an important clue?

What else do you know?

No.

No step

can be skipped.

You...

If I had told you,

I would have taken away

the fun of

discovery and investigation tonight.

Besides,

what can you do

if you know

Lu Lianshan is dead?

The key of the problem

is not Lu Lianshan.

The problem we should solve now

is to

find the clues

in these books

and deduce that

how Yun Yi, the major criminal of the case

got

the box of mechanism?

Also,

where did he

hide it? )

Do you think

what I said makes some sense?

Shen Xiaoyu,

you look

just like you did back then,

behaving like you know everything.

Yes.

I'm nostalgic.

Back then,

the person

with me

got lost.

I'm afraid one day

when she turns around,

she is not able to find me.

So I've been waiting for her to come back

at the same place.

Today,

I've learned a lot.

Thank

you.

In the future,

I will still bother you.

I'll take my leave.

[Administrator of Beidian]

Lord Shen.

Is Lord Shen here?

Shen...

-Lord Shen. -Miss Ling Bi.

Why are you here?

Princess asked me to come.

Where is Lord Shen?

He is in the back.

I'll get him for you.

OK.

My lord.

My lord, just in time.

Miss Ling Bi is looking for you.

Lord Shen.

What is the progress of

what I asked Shen Yu to investigate?

My lord,

Lord Shen Yu said

there is progress

in the Jiangzhou City case,

but there's something fishy behind it.

He asked me to tell you

the jade theft case in Lu's mansion

still needs some time.

Keep an eye on him.

If he doesn't reply,

just rush him.

Yes.

I...

Lord Shen.

Her Highness

worries about your stomach disease.

So she visited the imperial physician in the palace

and asked for this prescription.

According to the medical instructions,

she spent hours

on the medicine.

Please drink it while it's hot.

Don't make

our princess's effort a waste.

Thank you.

Send a message for me

after you are back.

Thank you.

No, no, no.

My lord,

I have something

to tell you.

Go ahead.

Her Highness hasn't eaten anything all day.

She's just worried about your health.

Since I was young,

I've been with her.

In my opinion,

she has never paid so much attention to anyone

like you.

She

is child-like sometimes

and willful.

So,

please don't take it seriously, my lord.

Don't argue with the princess anymore.

OK?

Are you done?

Yes.

If there's nothing else,

please leave.

Luo Fan.

Miss Ling Bi.

Please leave.

[Dinghua Gate]

Why are you here

at the Eastern Palace, everyone?

I want to

submit a complaint of

Shen Yan, the commander of one of the fourteen armies of the Jinlin Guard.

Shen Yan?

Duke Lu,

don't take it to heart.

I know Shen Yan

is usually reckless in words.

He must have offended you.

It doesn't matter.

I will remember

what you said.

Pass my order.

Let Shen Yan come in person

to apologize to Duke Lu.

Yes.

If it's normal,

I'm willing to

solve it privately with Commander Shen.

But today,

what I want to discuss

is not the personal grudge between Shen Yan and Family Lu.

It really concerns

the safety of the Imperial Court of Wei.

You

and Shen

are both pillars of Wei State.

Were your

words too serious?

Your Grace is wise.

The ministers and I

thought Shen Yan is someone

Your Grace values,

so we tolerated him for a long time.

But we didn't expect him

to be domineering

and disrupt the court.

I'm afraid

I'm not the only one to accuse him today.

Please read it.

[Memorial to the throne]

I understand

your wishes.

Let me think about it.

We'll discuss it later.

Your Grace.

A group of scholars and officials have gathered outside the palace,

saying the Jin Lin Military Camp is too domineering.

If this continues,

it will definitely bring disaster to Wei.

If Your Grace does not

discharge Shen Yan from his position

to appease the public today,

they will kneel forever.

If Your Grace insists on doing it in your wish,

for the sake of Wei,

they will...

Say it.

Yes.

They can only go to the palace

to disturb His Majesty.

Everyone,

you are all officials.

If you ask for truth,

there will be conflicts.

Today,

I punish Shen Yan because...

First, he didn't do his job well.

Second,

my father was too tired

and recuperated in the palace.

I

don't want to

disturb him with the heart of a good son.

If you insist,

Duke Lu,

I'm afraid

the result won't satisfy you either.

Duke Lu,

what do you think?

Your Grace is wise.

Lords,

please leave.

Ling,

look.

The dishes newly pickled by the kitchen

are delicious.

And the steamed egg.

It's refreshing.

Eat more.

Thank you, grandpa.

Ling.

When you were a child,

you lived here

for so long.

I didn't see

you care so much about me.

You've known Shen Yan only for a few days.

And you…

Just because your uncle

doesn't allow you to meet him,

you don't eat or drink,

to show your anger to us?

Grandpa,

you doesn't allow me to see Shen Yan,

so I won't see him?

In your heart,

am I such an obedient girl?

That's true.

Look at you.

Grandpa,

you are the closest person to me

in this world.

How can I be angry with you?

I don't see Shen Yan now

because

I have something on my mind.

Before I see and think it through,

I can't and I don't dare to see him.

No matter what happens,

it's right not to see him.

If you can't figure it out,

just stop thinking about it.

I think Shen Yan

is just an ordinary man.

Look.

There are many good

aristocratic young men

in the capital.

Later...

Later, I'll find you

an unparalleled man

to be your husband.

-No, no, no. - Then you can live

a carefree life.

I'll choose

my own husband by myself.

You can't do that.

Why not?

I'll find a few more for her to choose from.

Isn't it okay?

Right?

Grandpa,

if for such a good man

as Shen Yan,

I can't love him

sincerely,

maybe no one

in this world

can be loved by me that sincerely.

Father.

Father!

Bad news!

Bad news, father!

What's wrong?

Why are you in such a panic?

Sit down and talk.

How dared this old man

argue with me face to face!

He has gone too far!

Your Grace,

don't blame yourself

for others' mistakes?

How is the investigation

about the jade?

Although there's some progress,

we need to figure out

the whole story.

It will take some time.

Even the Lu Family

dared to fight with Shen Yan.

We don't have much time

for us.

I will make haste

and find

the evidence of the case of Jiangzhou soon

to relieve your worries.

Please be patient, Your Grace.

After all,

when two armies are facing each other,

what we need to compare

is always patience.

The Double Seventh Festival is coming, right?

Yes.

I've been busy with the case of Jiangzhou recently.

I can't help

feeling agitated.

The Double Seventh Festival is coming.

Jin,

come with me

to go to the street then.

No.

Your kindness to me

has aroused much gossip

in the palace.

His Majesty has always disliked this matter.

He has already reminded you

for countless times.

So,

if Your Grace and I go out of

the palace for a date privately,

and His Majesty hears about it,

it's very likely that

we'll be criticized again.

So what?

Jin,

you are the woman I like.

As long as you are loyal to me,

I won't be harsh on you.

Don't worry

about this matter.

I'll plan it carefully.

By then,

just follow my arrangement.

Thank you, Your Grace.

It's been more than ten years.

This old man still wants to use the tactic

of internal strife in the court.

He thought

the Crown Prince was weak and could be easily bullied.

He doesn't know

he has mistaken a tiger for a cat.

He will suffer a big loss sooner or later.

Father.

I don't know if he'll suffer a great loss.

Anyway,

if they are going to deal with Shen Yan,

they'll be miserable.

Who are you talking about?

No one.

I need to go out.

Sit down.

If you go to the Lu family like this,

it's exactly what they want.

If he turns you in later,

you'll still suffer.

If you do this,

not only will you not help,

but also implicate Shen Dian.

You'll even put more burden on him,

making his situation more difficult.

Yes.

You're a girl.

-If you go there so early... -You...

Father,

you have foresight.

You know

Shen Yan is unreliable.

Father, let's eat.

The dishes are getting cold.

I'm not eating.

I'm so angry.

Take all the dishes away.

Your Highness,

are we going to Lu's Mansion?

Grandpa is right.

It's not good to go to the Lu's Mansion

at this time.

But Shen Yan is in difficulty,

and I can't ignore it.

What are you going to do?

I'll go find Jin.

She's so smart.

She must know what to do.

Don't go with me.

Keep an eye on the kitchen today.

Prepare Lord Shen's breakfast, lunch and dinner,

and his medicine

carefully.

Send them to

the administration of Beidian on time.

Understand?

Okay.

By the way,

there's an old ginseng in the kitchen.

Make soup with it,

and send it to Lord Shen, too.

He has stomach disease.

Don't let him starve.

Understand?

I got it.

Don't forget.

Don't worry, Your Highness.

I'm sorry to make you

suffer it this time.

But

don't worry.

The Lu family

is just

being complacent for time being.

Lord Han,

the testimony of Yue Ling's case

is all here.

Please check it, Lord Han.

I can't disobey His Majesty's order.

Just take it as a lesson to gain wisdom.

Don't take it to heart.

In the next few days,

you can

work for Luo Fan.

Yes.

I knew it.

Your Highness.

Lady-in-waiting Xu,

you are really punctual.

Why is there so much dust?

Are these files

even older

than me?

A little older.

In terms of age,

these books here

can probably be as old

as your grandpa.

Your Highness,

be careful.

If the old paper

gets broken, shredded

or even turned into ashes on the spot,

and

it happens to get the record

of some key words on it,

we can only blame

Shener is so unlucky.

You...

Stop laughing.

Didn't we agree

you should come alone?

Why did you bring someone else?

Ling cares about your brother.

She knew he had been framed by the Lu Family

so she hurriedly came to me,

and asked me to find a solution for her.

After thinking about it,

I'm afraid

only the Jiangzhou case can help him.

Shen Yu,

I don't want to disturb you.

But Shen Yan is in trouble now.

If I don't do anything,

I'll feel very sorry.

There are so many files.

If we want to find some clues

among them,

it's like fishing for a needle in the ocean.

More people, more helping hands.

It's always a good thing.

If you have any complaint,

for the sake of your brother,

swallow it.

You're sharp-tongued and eloquent.

Poor Shener.

He will suffer in the future.

You are not the one to live with me.

None of your business.

[The Administration of Beidian]

Is Lieutenant Shen Yan here?

Aren't they from the Ministry of Punishments?

What are they doing here?

I don't know.

The Ministry of Punishments is busy.

The files collected

have piled up.

Lord Shen has put down the burden

of 14,000 households.

You must have a lot of free time.

Since we are both officials,

we must do our best

to help His Highness

and the court to get over difficulties.

Thinking of this place,

I went to

the Eastern Palace today

and asked for an edict

which allows Shen Yan to assist the Ministry of Punishments to investigate the old case.

This is the order of the Eastern Palace.

Commander Shen,

do you want to take a look?

No need.

I accept the edict.

Lieutenant Shen,

don't you like investigating cases very much?

These are some mystery cases without clues

which remain unsolved in the Ministry of Punishments for so long.

You're asked to handle these things,

and that suits your preference.

It's perfect.

I've put down the files.

Lieutenant, you have to hurry up.

Don’t let me down.

Goodbye.

I think

they are trying to provoke us,

and give us a hard time.

My lord,

tell me.

There are so many old cases.

In your opinion,

what should we do?

This happened because of me.

I'll take full responsibility.

After I read

these files,

I'll ask Captain Luo to have a look.

No.

No, my lord.

Don't make fun of me.

My lord. My lord.

What are you waiting for?

You really want him to carry them?

Hurry up. Move them in.

My lord.

Looks like

they are all files about eating and going to toilets.

Why is the administration of Nandian

so unprofessional?

Such work is like fishing for a needle in the ocean,

which requires patience,

and Your Highness surely can't do it.

Instead of suffering like this,

why don't you go home early

and have a good sleep?

Yesterday, you said

the problem of this case

is to find clues

to deduce

how Yun Yi got the treasure box,

and

where he would hide the treasure box.

But I've

searched all these books,

and there's no clue.

Did you find anything today?

Give Ling and me some advice.

This is difficult.

I've been investigating Lu Lianshan's background

repeatedly

for a few times.

Unfortunately,

this person

didn't live for long.

After entering the capital,

he lived in seclusion.

I've checked all the men who had contact with him

when he was alive.

None of them

has any connection

with the later Yun Yi.

Only after Lu Lianshan died

did Yun Yi enter Yejing.

If we can't find anyone

associated with him,

I'm afraid you can't solve

these two problems.

What Yun Yi and Lu Lianshan?

The alive and the dead?

I know you two

grew up together.

But I'm still here.

Can you say something

I can understand?

-Your Highness. -Ling.

What did you say?

I said you two grew up together.

The former sentence.

What Yun Yi and Lu Lianshan?

The alive and the dead?

The alive.

The dead.

Yun Yi's records in Yeching

started from

the spring of the 28th year of the Dawei Dynasty.

Lu Lianshan was seriously ill

and died suddenly.

It happened in the 27th year of the Dawei Dynasty.

The stolen silver in Jiangzhou

was of a large amount.

It's necessary to

hide the stolen silver

in somewhere safe and secret.

Lu Lianshan was most skilled at

making traps and building secret rooms.

In that case,

Yun Yi's real identity

is Lu Lianshan.

Wait!

So,

you mean

Lu Lianshan was a follower of the Lu family,

and he faked his death because of illness.

Then he became the martial artist, Yun Yi.

He went to your Xu Family

and became your father's attendant.

That's right.

After a few years,

Yun Yi perpetrated

the robbery of the treasury in Jiangzhou,

so as to spare himself of the suspicion.

Then it became logical.

The dead is gone.

Instead of worrying about the past,

why don't you guess

where the box of Qian and Kun jade

with evidence inside

is hidden?

Xuanwu Town.

Yun Yi, or Lu Lianshan could only

entrust something important

to his master

Lu He, a master of mechanisms.

Are you sure

they are the same person?

We'll know if it's true or not after testing it.

Test?

How?

Lord Shen.

Captain Luo.

Thank you.

My lord,

don't make fun of me.

Let our men do

these trivial matters as filing documents.

Isn't the princess very considerate?

she worries you'll be tired from sitting here for a long time.

She has prepared a cushion for you.

Have a seat, my lord.

sit down, my lord.

-My lord. -Captain Luo.

You must be tired after a busy day.

Look.

All of them were sent by Miss Ling Bi

to you under the princess' order.

Please taste them.

My lord, this tea is too strong.

Her Highness said

she was afraid it would hurt your stomach,

so she had prepared best-quality

Pu'er tea for you.

-I'll change it for you now. -I don't need it.

And this medicine.

My lord.

Her Highness also asked Miss Ling Bi to sent it...

Anything else?

Her Highness has ordered

you have to

drink it while it's hot.

I know.

Hurry up. Let's go.

What is the princess

busy with today?

We've arrived.

Okay.

Let's go.

It's not a visit to a park at night.

I don't understand

why you two ladies

follow me here.

-The case of Jiangzhou concerns the innocence of the Xu family. -Be careful.

How can I

not handle it myself?

In that case,

why does the princess

also handle the case by herself?

I just don't want to let

you and Jin

be alone together.

Is that okay?

Of course.

To come here alone

in the middle of the night

to dig a grave,

it's better

-to have more helping hands. -Help me to go forward.

[Lu Lianshan]

Lu Lianshan.

Your Highness.

You go.

For Jin's sake.

Not an empty coffin.

That means Lu Lianshan

is really dead.

Not necessarily.

Although I don't know

who is in this coffin,

it's definitely not Lu Lianshan.

How do you know?

Come and have a look.

Ling, do you know

Yun Yi...

No.

Lu Lianshan.

He accidentally broke his right leg

while fulfilling a task for our Xu Family.

It took him a long time to recover.

Even if a broken bone heals,

and the movement is as usual,

there will be traces of regeneration

around the cured part.

Either the bones aren't connected rightly,

or this part feels rougher

than other intact parts.

But look.

His leg bones are smooth and complete.

Is there any trace that I've mentioned?

So

Lu Lianshan is Yun Yi?

That's right.

Since Yun Yi's true identity has been verified,

we can solve the Jiangzhou case,

and bring down the Lu family

soon.

Then Shen Yan...

Don't worry.

For the Jiangzhou case,

we can only trust the Jinlin Guard

in the Eastern Palace.

For your Lord Shen,

I think

he'll be assigned with an important task soon.

Lord Shen will have to

restore the tomb

in case that the information should be leaked,

and the Lu Family should guard against it.

Indeed, an able man is always busy,

and a busy man suffers a lot.
