My dear doctor, my dear friend,

You are in my thoughts as you are every year

on this day when I and my people remember Ellie's death.

We continue to watch over her soul.

and let us continue the fight without her.

Unfortunately, the situation seems to be getting worse day by day.

Our rivers are being poisoned, and our trees are being cut down.

in ever-increasing quantities.

Animals are poached, exported and sold.

The most serious fact is that there is only only one jaguar left in the area.

and its days are numbered.

We need help.

The truck has to leave tonight. How long will it take?

Two hours, boss.

Two hours? Two hours is too long.

I will not allow a loss of more than 10%.

You...

You are not paid to give me dead birds.

Get out of the way.

And be careful.

Sorry, boss.

We are on the trail of the jaguar, the black jaguar.

You made it in the end.

The last remaining specimen.

- Good, I'm counting on you. - Move it, come on!

Give a kiss to our little princess

and tell her not to forget her forest family.

Your friend Oré.

- I can't sleep tonight either. - Emma, darling.

What is it? What is it? What is it? Are you alright?

You will spend another sleepless night too writing your article, right?

Please don't tell me about it.

- What is that thing? - What is what?

Oh, that? Nothing important. I'm doing research for the article.

Yes, I do.

Honey, what's wrong? Did you have another nightmare?

- Well, tomorrow... - Yes?

You know, I was thinking...

- At school, I think... - Yes?

I do not think I will go.

- We have biology. - Emma, please. And very late.

Dad, please, you know I can't stand that biology teacher.

With her perfect little air, her silly knot, her little skirt,

the little glasses, the blocks, and her porcupines.

She is so boring that even her beloved plants yawn. even her beloved plants yawn,

against which has a real...

Emma, Emma. You are leaving, period.

- I love you. I love you. I love you. Good night, Emma. - I love you, Emma.

Honey, but I know your teacher Hedgehog adopted him.

It is a nice gesture. Because he can't walk.

- Yes, of course. - That is a good thing.

And I don't see him wearing glasses.

What is it?

Your teacher does not wear glasses.

- Okay, okay, okay. - Okay, okay, okay.

- I love you, I love you. I love you too. -I love you too. -I love you too.

Mom...

While controversy rages over the construction of the dam,

This morning, Doria Dargan said Doria Dargan put it this way:

"I offer Mayarihawe 30 years of clean energy

and thousands of jobs.

The environmentalists are getting upset, but we have taken appropriate action.

Residents of the flooded areas will be relocated.

In the end, Indians also want modernity.

Nice cars, flat screen TVs, smartphones.

They want them just like everyone else."

Here I come! I give you your little one.

Go, little puppy.

- Mom, I'll walk around here. - Don't go too far.

Okay, let's go this way.

Where did the butterfly fly to?

I will find you. You don't have to be afraid.

Don't worry, I won't hurt you.

I can't find her! Where did she go?

Oh, no, there she is!

Emma! Emma! Emma!

But it is a baby jaguar.

It's a baby jaguar!

Hello, darling.

Do not be alarmed. There is no danger. It's all right.

I'll protect you, okay?

Did you see that? It's on the move!

No, no, where are you going? Look out, look out! Watch out! Watch out!

Come here!

Look at that! It's my first time seeing a kinkajou.

There is a nice pair of parrots too!

Do you see them?

What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with your mom?

You have just found a new friend, darling.

My name is Emma. Nice to meet you. What's your name, then?

Yes, you are. You don't talk. How can you can you tell me that?

Do not be afraid. My mom and dad will find us.

You'll see, you'll like my home. And you can sleep in my room.

Is it okay?

Would you like to sleep in my bed, which is the most comfortable in the whole world?

The mattress is soft. We can do somersaults.

We will be good together. We will have a lot of fun.

I have already chosen your name. I would like to call you Hope, if you don't mind.

Hope!

Emma! Emma! Emma!

- Emma! Emma! Emma! - Where are you, darling?

Emma! Emma! Emma!

Emma! Emma! Emma!

- Emma! Emma! Emma! - Emma! Emma! Emma! Emma! Emma!

- Emma: Mom? - We are coming now!

- We are here! - Emma: Mom?

- Emma! Emma! Emma! - Emma! Emma! Talk to me!

- Emma: Where are you? - Mom.

- Honey, honey! - Keep calling!

- Mom! Emma! - Emma! Emma! Emma! Emma! Emma!

- Mom, Dad, I'm here! - We hear you, keep calling!

- Honey, we are here, we are coming! - Here I am!

Mom! Mom! Mom! Mom! Dad! Dad! Dad! Dad! Dad! Dad!

- I found a baby jaguar! - Come here, my darling. Were you scared?

Don't worry, we are here.

I didn't want to leave him alone.

You are safe now, my love.

The mother must be the specimen that the poachers killed.

Yes, she is.

This means that they were close to our daughter.

It is dangerous for her to stay here.

- Goodbye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. - Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye. Bye. Bye.

We have gotten off to a bad start. I have a bad feeling about this.

You're too hard on her. And a little weird, but she's fun.

Hi, sorry I'm late.

Good morning, Ms. Shymore.

Good morning, Kitten.

Good morning, boys. Take your seats.

Can someone fill the water bowl?

Thank you, Chloe.

Come here, baby. Come on, baby, go drink.

One of you must do me a favor.

Go and get the frogs from the lab.

I knew it. I already feel sick.

- Emma, what are you doing? - Calling animal control.

Emma, put the phone down now.

Enough is enough. Now go to the headmaster.

Good for you!

Annie, can you get the frogs? Thank you very much, ma'am.

Open your book on page 25 and start the lesson.

Today we are going to do an electrifying experiment.

Yes!

Hello! Come over here, please.

Good boy.

Come here! Come here! Come here! Catch!

Come on, come on! Come on, come here! Come on, come here!

Good boy!

Let's go!

Let's go!

How did it go? Expelled, as usual.

Another time? Your father would not have taken it well.

Yes, he was. Yes, he was quite angry and wants to send me to my grandmother.

He didn't want to. It must be a heartbreak.

No, I'm actually happy to be going. My grandma is amazing.

Really? - Yes, it is.

Gosh, I will miss you.

Sunday we would go ice skating together.

- Sorry, I'll call you back later. - Okay. Uh... I'll see you later.

Saul Edison...

My dear doctor, my dear friend,

You are in my thoughts as you are every year

on this day when I and my people remember Ellie's death.

We continue to watch over her soul.

and let us continue the fight without her.

As we do every year,

animals are poached exported and sold.

The most serious fact is that there is only there is only one jaguar left in this area.

and its days are numbered.

We need help.

Give a kiss to our little princess

and tell her not to forget her forest family.

Your friend Oré.

- Emma! - How could you do this to me?

Emma, you can't come in here. I'm sorry, Mrs. Burley. Go back and lie down.

Lie back down. There is no danger.

- What is it you want? - I read Oré's letter.

How long have you been lying to me?

Emma, get out of my studio immediately. We'll talk about this at home. Get out!

Go home now!

Sorry, Mrs. Burley.

I am sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I assure you it will not happen again.

- What if it was Hope? - I don't know what you are talking about!

The jaguar that Oré talks about It must be Hope!

Dad, for years You've forbidden me to talk about it for years,

or even think about her.

I have always accepted it because you said she was safe.

- I had confidence in you. You betrayed me. - Emma, that's enough!

- The truth is, you don't know what you're saying! - We have to go and save her!

- We are not going anywhere! - Dad! Dad! Dad! Dad! Dad! Dad!

Go, Dr. Edison!

I don't remember asking for by a hypochondriac patient.

Time to move on, Emma. We left the jungle eight years ago.

It is you who must do it. It has now been eight years since Mom died.

You are being unfair, Emma!

Where are you going to go?

Wait, Mrs. Burley, I'm sorry...

Hope, do you like this song?

Don't you do that? All right, all right.

I get it. You don't like to hear me sing, do you?

Don't be afraid. I will always protect you, okay?

Oh, no, look what you did!

I left you in my room for a minute and you destroyed all my stuff.

You really are a little rascal.

What are you doing, darling?

- Hi, mom. - What are you up to?

I have finished decorating this shirt. Do you like it?

- I've put flowers on it. - It's beautiful, darling.

Thanks, mom.

Emma, what are the three things you must never forget?

That I am a much loved child.

that I don't have to be afraid of anything, and... that I'm not doing anything wrong.

Yes, that's right. Remember that.

Can I have your necklace?

I want you to have it.

Do you want it?

Do you know why?

You will change the world.

- Why is that? - Because you are a special girl, Emma.

A special girl, you said.

- I love you, mom. I love you too, mom. -I love you too, Mommy. I love you.

Say goodbye to mom.

Goodbye, mom.

Honey, Hope is all grown up now.

She spends less time in our house and going more and more into the jungle.

This means that she has learned to fend for herself.

Celya.

- Good luck to you. - Thank you, Celya.

- Come on, let's go. - No, no, no, no.

Come on, Emma.

- We have to go, honey. - I don't want to go.

I know, I know, I know.

Come on, come on, honey.

I will make it home without my mom.

That's what everyone does, so...

I'll be fine too.

What are you doing here?

I need my phone. You didn't give it back.

Where are you going?

What do you have to do with it?

I do care.

You show up here at this time and you look completely insane.

You are 15 years old. Of course I am worried.

What did you expect? That I would jump for joy

after he got me kicked out of school?

Emma, I have tried everything.

I tried to avoid expulsion. I gave you lots of chances.

All right, then. Now... give me the phone.

- Where are you going? -To my grandmother's house.

Where is Saul?

- Is he waiting for you downstairs? - Yes, he is.

My dad is waiting for me downstairs.

No, he does not.

You had a fight with your father and you run away from home, right?

No, I'm not running away. Give me the phone.

I'll call your father. Hold on a second.

Give me the phone... or I'll throw it out the window.

Emma, no! Please calm down! Please, come to your senses!

Don't do anything stupid! IS IT OK?

No, this is not like you.

Emma, this is not like you.

Give me Kitten.

Good girl.

Let's talk about it, shall we?

Mayarihawà...

What is that? Not Mayarihawà in the Amazon?

Over there they have typhoid, hepatitis A and hepatitis B!

Yellow fever, rabies, malaria, dengue, zika virus...

They are all deadly diseases!

In addition to the highest murder rate than anywhere else in the world...

bacteria, viruses, parasites poor sanitary conditions,

cholera, tapeworm, rabies, mango fly!

Damn it, come on, come on!

Hello, darling.

Mom? Mommy? Mommy? You have to pick me up from school now.

No, wait a minute, honey.

I'm sorry, I can't come to pick you up from school

because I have to go to a dinner tonight.

I'm sorry, what? Please, I have to go.

You know I can't do anything without you.

- All right, then! - Hurry up!

Goodbye, grandma!

Listen to me... I need your help.

No, no, no, it's okay. It's okay, it's okay.

It's just that... I lied to my dad.

He thinks I'm out to get you,

but instead, I'm on my way to my friend Riley's to my friend Riley's.

Yes, yes, you met her.

The thing is... would never have let me do it.

because of my problems with school.

I wanted to ask you to back me up. Just this once.

Thank you very much, Grandma. When I come back, I will visit you right away.

OK, THEN.

Okay, I love you. Bye. Bye.

Hi, Dad, I'm at Grandma's. It's okay, it's okay.

As always I gave her a kiss from you.

See you again soon.

Taxi!

Okay, um... Oh, my God!

Did you leave the door open?

Sorry, I'm in a hurry!

There is no reason to leave the the car door open!

Excuse me!

Excuse me, where is the check-in for the flight to Mayarihawa?

You are just in time, ma'am.

Passengers are boarding. I was just about to close the flight.

Oh, that's a shame.

I'm sorry, honey, come on. You did what you could.

Does the plane make a stopover before landing at Mayarihawa?

In Miami.

Miami...

All right, then.

I'll take that one.

- Where do you think you are going? Are you out of your mind? - Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!

- Do not buy a ticket. - The flight has a stopover in Miami.

I get off the plane, take you back to New York and that's the end of the story.

I can do this.

- A ticket to Mayarihawe. - Please don't give her the ticket.

- What is that thing? - A porcupine.

Explain yourself. What does it mean?

That you cannot bring it into the cabin.

What should I do then?

- The flight is leaving now, ma'am. - Yes, ma'am.

Mom...

What are you doing?

If I don't, I will never forgive I will never forgive myself.

- Ma'am, your flight leaves in two minutes. - Yes, that's me.

- You really have to go now. - Yes, ma'am.

And it is urgent.

Ms. Anja Shymore is asked to report immediately

to the cabin crew.

- Ms. Shymore? - Yes, that's me.

I will show you to your seat.

- This is your seat. - Yeah, I should just...

- Emma? - Ma'am, please sit down.

I should...

- Please take a seat. - Emma?

Fasten your seat belt.

Emma? Emma? Emma?

Emma? Emma? Emma?

Ma'am!

Excuse me, I'm looking for a girl. Excuse me, I'm looking for a girl.

Let me through, thank you very much.

Excuse me, have you seen her? She's about this tall.

There is something mischievous shining in her eyes.

She is about your age. Her name is Emma.

What is she doing here?

Where did you get the idea to go to such a dangerous place?

It has nothing to do with the head, rather the heart.

What do you mean by "the heart"?

She is my best friend. Her name is Hope. She lives over there and she's in danger.

She is counting on me and I have to go and save her.

No, look, I don't even want to listen to you.

We get off at the next stop and take the first flight to New York.

- Please leave me alone. You're not my mom. - I have to protect you.

Do you have to? What is it, Wonder Woman?

The weird biology teacher Is it a cover-up?

Thank you very much.

What about you?

No appetite?

It's not a question of appetite. It's that I would never eat my friends.

- Animals. Do you eat your friends? - No, I do not.

Thank you very much.

Where is Kitten? Didn't you bring him?

I didn't think he did anything without him.

He's on the plane. They put him in the cargo hold.

A bunch of idiots.

So, uh.., if you want to see your porcupine again,

he has to wait until we get to Mayarihawa.

They will not drop him off drop him off at the stopover.

It is a shame.

Ma'am? Ma'am? Ma'am? Ma'am? Ma'am?

You risk missing your next flight.

- Excuse me! - Please be careful!

Please excuse me. I am sorry. I am sorry. I am sorry. I am sorry. I am sorry. I am sorry.

I beg your pardon. Pardon me, pardon me. Excuse me, excuse me.

- Stay calm! - Hey there!

Thank you very much.

I should have taken care of your rodent.

The kitten is a hedgehog, not a rodent.

Ms. Animal Protection should know better.

Thank you very much.

It's business as usual. Go ahead, clear them out.

Clear the runway, boys. Show's over.

You see? What did I tell you?

Let's get on with it.

Come on, guys, get out of here. Come on, this way.

Sir, excuse me.

- Who is that woman? - That's Doria Dargan.

A very powerful businesswoman here. She wants to build a dam.

Stop it! You're coming with me! Come on, move it!

I'll take these.

What are they protesting against?

Against you. Against your dam.

If you don't want to resist, get moving!

Emma, Emma...

You have two choices, okay?

One, I hand you over to the police.

The second is that you come with me to New York. Which would you prefer?

I have a stomach ache.

I knew it. I knew it, I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. I knew it.

You must have gotten something. I need to get you home.

- I have to go to the bathroom. - All right, then.

Sure, let's find a toilet. I'll follow you. Let's go.

There you go, hold on tight.

Come on, we're almost there. Hang on a little longer, Emma.

There you go. Yes, you made it.

Let us know if you need anything.

I feel terrible!

-You'll be fine, don't worry. - You'll be fine.

But don't come in, because I'm scared I'll make a mess.

I am sorry about that.

Emma. Check for bubbles.

Emma? Emma? Emma? Emma, are you okay? Can you hear me?

Oh, no!

Emma! Emma! Emma!

Come on, let's go!

No, he tricked me again!

Emma! Emma! Emma!

Get out of that car now!

You have no idea how dangerous this whole thing is!

You can't ride in that!

This time you have really crossed every limit!

Emma!

I can't climb up for this thing. Emma: Help me!

The ordinary people of the city.

Five dollars.

Ah, yes, of course! Here you are!

- Please give me some change. - No, no change.

As you wish!

Now your stomach ache is gone.

I am sorry for that, but she continues to haunt me.

I have never in my life a pestiferous little girl like you.

You are... you are unbearable.

Stop chasing me.

Where are we heading?

For my family.

And incredible.

We are in the rainforest. the largest rainforest on Earth.

Three hundred and ninety billion trees.

The world's climate regulator.

70% of the planet's biodiversity.

One in three tree species are facing extinction.

57% of plants are also endangered, and yet we continue...

If you know all these things why does he do nothing?

I teach him.

Should we get off here?

Yes, we will.

Yes, yes, yes!

Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much.

And now what?

Well... I don't know.

We left when I was six or seven.

It is absolutely crazy.

Emma, I was going to say...

Emma! Emma! Emma! Emma! Emma! Emma! Emma! Emma!

Emma! Emma! Emma!

Emma!

Emma, please.

This adventure has gone on long enough. Now you need to call your father.

We will explain everything to him.

Please do.

Thank you very much.

Goodbye, Dad.

It is me. It is me.

Everything is fine, yes!

Grandma is as healthy as ever. We are having a great time.

You are...

Are you out of your mind?

We got lost in the middle of the forest and you...

We are soaked in poop! Can you believe it?

And you continue to act crazy! It is impossible to help you!

I did not ask you to help me!

You cannot understand how things are. Neither can my father.

I don't care if it is difficult and dangerous.

I want to save my friend, and no one will help me.

And that's okay.

I am there.

Kitten and I are here.

The kitten and I are here.

So, uh...

What is your family name?

- They are Awahas. - Awaha.

All right, then. Do people here know your family?

- I don't know, maybe. - All right, then!

Okay, let's ask someone. They seem to be quite strange people.

I just need to sit down for a while.

Excuse me, do you happen to know Mr. and Mrs. Awaha?

- Mr. Awaha... -Awaha.

Awaha.

It really is a nightmare.

Do you know the Awaha family?

Oh, thank you very much.

- Please take a seat. - Awa...

Awaha. Awahaha...

Ah poo!

All right, all right.

Miss Shymore, are you not overdoing it with your herbal pills?

Oh, no! No! No, no, no!

There you go. Let me hold you.

Don't be afraid of the water. You will see how much fun you will have when you swim.

Don't worry, Hope. I'm here with you.

See? It is easy. Now try it on your own, come on.

Go ahead, try it.

You have already learned!

Look how you swim. Good job, Hope. That's what I'm talking about!

Come on, Hope, you swim beautifully! You did it! That's what I'm talking about!

Hope!

Come back, Hope. Come to me, come on.

Hope, you can do it. I'll be here waiting for you.

There you go, good girl.

You don't have to be afraid. I am here, I am here.

Yes, you see? You did it! You did it! it! You did it! You did it!

Come here! Come here, come here!

Did you like it?

Come on, let's go.

Apa? Ten thousand pesos.

Oh, you poor creature.

It is strange. She looks like my niece.

Oh, no, no, no...

Oré mentioned this in his letter.

- Oré? - Yes, Oré. And my uncle.

He wrote to my father about animal trafficking.

There are people destroying the forest and my friend Hope is in danger.

Oré asked my dad for help and he ignored him.

He does not care.

Your father is not the type who doesn't care about such things.

He is just trying to protect you.

You know, when we are young we all have big ideals.

Then, as we get older, we realize that...

That they are unattainable? You sound just like my father.

I don't care what you say. It's all lies.

-Awaha. - No...

What is it...

One minute.

- It is here in the neighborhood. - Good for you!

Thank goodness.

Hi.

I can't believe it.

What do they want from us? Do you know these people?

They are my cousins. Why are you so pessimistic?

Your cousins... I mean, it's like they didn't even recognize you.

Do you speak their language?

I only knew a few words, but I can't remember them now.

- You picked a bad time. - I know, I know.

Asha?

Celya?

It's been so long!

The welcome dance! Asha is back!

- Asha is back. - Asha is back.

- Do you remember her? - I think so, vaguely.

Come on, you dance too! It's the welcome dance!

Oh, no, no. No, no, thank you.

I'm a terrible dancer and my feet hurt.

Shoo!

Come on, let's go. Dad... will be happy to see you.

- Osh... Pai. Oshpai. - Oshpai!

Miss Shymore, the jungle plants.

Jungle plants, I have the pleasure to introduce Miss Shymore!

Oré!

Asha!

What a nice surprise! I've been dreaming about you. Let me look at you.

- You grow like an orchid. - Yes, I do!

- I'm glad you could make it. - I'm sorry, but it's just me.

Well... not really.

Miss Shymore decided to come along. And my biology teacher.

She followed me all the way from New York

because she tried to stop me from coming here. And a real pain in the ass.

Emma, did you run away?

What were you thinking? Are you out of your mind? Your father will be worried.

He is completely occupied with his work and thinks I'm at my grandma's house.

My father doesn't want to help you, but I absolutely had to come.

That's enough, Asha. You need to come home.

I will not let Hope be killed!

What do you think you are doing, Emma?

First I must find her, and then I'll take her to the heart of Mayarihawa,

to a protected wilderness oasis.

She trusts me. She will follow me.

We don't know if that jaguar is really Hope.

And even if it is her, you wouldn't be able to get close to her.

She is no longer your pet. And a wild animal.

Be careful with her. They eat hedgehogs here.

- Please come with me. - But it's gone!

Don't worry about Emma. She knows this territory well.

Moreover, she is with my daughter. They have known each other since they were born.

I thank you for watching over her, but...

Emma does not have to stay here. The same goes for her.

Here... it's too dangerous.

I will ask about the next bus.

Do not worry.

I have no intention to stay in this place.

I had no choice.

And I am not properly dressed.

I never am, when I think about it.

We always have a choice. She is very brave.

- Would you like me to find you some suitable clothes? - Oh, yes, please.

- Please come with me. - Thank you very much.

I remember when you drew that picture.

The truth.

is that I'm like the clownfish. We have something in common, you know?

Because, uh...

if she leaves her anemon, he dies.

"If there is a need to act... I don't know what to do.

If there is a need to speak, I don't know what to say.

If people look at me, I get lost."

- The law in my soul? - No, it was written by Jean-Jacques Rousseau.

This is his way of to define agoraphobia.

He was a French philosopher.

"Trust your wings."

Trust your wings.

What I would give to be teleported home...

It is perfect.

You came back here for her, didn't you?

She is my friend.

What is this news? Weren't you the sun to see what time it was?

Yes, of course. It's just something I like.

What surprises you? Everyone in town wears it.

Yes, they do. Rainforest style.

Hello! That's great.

Come here!

I love you, Hope. You're a good puppy.

Do not lick me.

You just can't help yourself?

Drink.

Well done.

Quick, come on! We need help! Asha's hurt! Run, run, run! Run, run, run!

Oré, why did she do this?

- Why did she do it? - We do not know if it was her.

I recognized her.

That was Hope.

Is Hope a jaguar?

What is life?

The glow of a firefly in the night.

The breath of a bison in winter.

It is the thin shadow that runs through the grass and then disappears into the sunset.

That is exactly the case.

Rest now And let your heart be at peace.

Mom...

You came all this way for a jaguar? Is her best friend a jaguar?

Listen up...

Is that animal really in danger?

I am afraid that the jaguar has no chance of survival.

Come here.

Do you see this?

This represents drug trafficking.

It earns over 400 billion dollars per year.

And this...

the arms trade.

And do you know what the third most most profitable traffic here?

- Animal trade? - Yes, that's right.

I would not have thought so.

It is controlled by organized crime.

The more rare the animal is, the more valuable it is.

But there are laws against this trade.

The laws exist, but they are not enforced.

There are no human traffickers in prisons.

They threaten people, they intimidate, they corrupt,

and the poor see them almost as benefactors.

That is why Saul took Emma away.

They will kill her if she tries to to stop them from capturing the jaguar.

Her mother died for this.

Hope...

Hope?

Hope! Hope!

Hope! Hope!

Hope, where are you?

I know it's you!

Hope! Hope!

Hope...

Hope...

Let's go!

Jump! Jump!

Why don't you come over?

You may not be my Hope.

Who are you then?

- Asha. Are the shoulders better? - Yes, they are.

Wow, that's amazing. The scratches are almost gone!

There is a bus leaving this afternoon. My men and I will go with you.

The dam area must be cleared. Two thousand pesos per day.

Thank you, we do not need your work.

I have a message from my boss.

He told me to tell you that he did not like

the protest the other day.

You must stop hindering your projects,

otherwise you will endanger your people.

We will accompany you to the bus.

You wear it on special occasions.

I am counting on you.

I don't think I have ever been so touched for a gift.

Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much.

I love you.

Oré, please, promise me that you will protect her.

I will do everything I can. I promise you that.

Goodbye! Goodbye!

Goodbye, goodbye. Have a safe journey!

When I was a kid I always wore leg warmers

even though in reality I never played soccer.

The sweater reminded me of that.

Emma!

We have an emergency! Please, stop!

Emma! Emma! Emma!

I will never abandon Hope. I am sorry. I am sorry. I am sorry. I am sorry.

Do not do this. Don't you dare.

Emma! Emma! Emma! No! Emma! Emma! Emma!

For fuck's sake! God damn it! Emma, come back here!

Stop the truck! Stop the truck now!

Someone shut that woman up!

Take me back to where she jumped off! Stop the truck!

I said stop the truck!

Come back, please! Take me back to where you left off!

You must turn back now!

- Come down! Come down! Come down! You have to come down! - Do you remember where you jumped from?

- What are you doing? What are you doing? No, I'm not doing that. - Come on, get out.

No, no, no, no! She jumped off the truck!

The journey is over. Goodbye and good luck.

Get your hands off me! Your shirt. Thank you very much!

Emma! Emma! Emma!

- Take me to the place where the girl jumped off! - I will get her. I'll get her!

No, the shirt is mine! The thief!

Where are you, Emma?

Go, go, go.

Emma! Emma! Emma!

Kittens...

Kitten?

Kitten... Kitten...

Kitten... Kitten... Kitten...

Hope.

Hope, that's you, right?

I knew it was you!

Hey, you! You've grown up!

Emma! Emma! Emma!

- Why are you still here? - I trust my wings.

- What is it? - They're shooting!

I know, I'm not deaf. It went that way.

No, you can forget it.

I am not going to run after a jaguar!

Go! Go, go, go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!

Jump! Jump, jump! Jump, jump!

Come on, let's go! Come on, let's go!

She jumped into the river.

- Are you sure about that? - Yes, I am sure.

No, I... No, forget it.

I'm sorry, but... jump!

No, no, no! You bastards!

Who are those men?

Wow, wow! I've never heard her so angry.

- Yes, they are. They are poachers. - They are poachers.

They are hunting Hope.

Do you believe me now?

I believed in you from the start, but I was afraid.

And now?

I still am, but at least I know why.

- For Hope? It is fantastic. - And it comforts me.

You know, I'm almost starting to like her.

Let's go!

There you go.

Come on, come on.

Help! Help! Help! Help! Help!

I just wanted to protect you, but...

The jungle is Hope's kingdom. She protects us.

- That's not much consolation. - Hope is my friend.

- She will not tear her apart. - All right, then.

At least I think so.

You are not 100% sure?

It's scary to see it up close.

I don't think I will survive this.

We need to imitate you.

He is drinking. You can see that the water is good here.

All right, then.

Then I will also try to drink.

Drink up.

He is moving away from the water. What does it mean?

That means... trouble! Get out of here!

- It's a pythonid! - It does not matter. Just get out of the way!

It wraps its prey in its rings and drags it underwater to drown it.

It doesn't chew it, it swallows it whole.

Ms. Shymore, this is not the time. Please! Please! Please! Come away!

He can swallow a sheep!

I can't climb. I can't climb!

It is not difficult. The vine forms steps.

You have to put your foot on it and grab it with your hands.

- Come on, climb, climb! - THAT'S IT.

I can't do it. You go first, save yourself!

No, no, no!

Grab the vine! Come on, climb!

I can't do it!

Yes, you can!

I need to exercise my arms more.

Come on, let's go!

Hope saved my life.

- Are you amazed? - And mad.

I was with her, in case she had forgotten.

- And that changed her mind? - Yes, it seems impossible, but yes.

- Hang on, we're almost there! - Emma! Emma! Emma! Emma!

- Yes? Yes? - I am terrified!

- Tell me a story. - Well, let's see...

Thank you very much. I am here to protect you.

I will take you to an oasis and poachers will not be able to get near you.

I will not allow them to harm you.

"United Forever, remember?

Do you want to take her there?

To the wilderness oasis?

Yes, she can. She can stay in her habitat.

The oasis is guarded by eco-guards.

I give up.

This is a very good idea.

Okay, here we go.

Emma.

It's okay, it's okay.

Jaguar passport.

Good girl.

- We sleep here. - I beg your pardon?

You need to find a niche. She will be comfortable. Good night, ma'am.

Ten meters above the ground in the company of a jaguar?

Yes, of course. It will be a good night.

- Sweet dreams you too. - Thank you very much.

If you want, you can come down, but you have to deal with those guys

who would kill his own mother to capture Hope.

Not to mention the animals who would love to have her for dinner.

I will stay here.

Good night.

I have never met anyone like you.

Neither have I.

I mean that in a good way. It is a compliment.

Yes, me too.

Look, people need to know what's going on here, and they will,

because you will teach it to the children.

It was not man who wove the fabric of life.

People are just one thread in the web.

Whatever he does to the web he does to himself.

- Is that the point? - Yes, exactly.

I'm going to spend it awake.

I will definitely not sleep.

Hello there!

Come on, get him!

Come on, boys! There are tracks. He can't be far away.

Emma. Emma. Emma.

Oh my god.., she looks like Kurt Cobain in a skirt!

- There are poachers! - What is it?

Of course, why didn't I think of that?

- Hide! - Yes, that's me.

You don't want to use that thing as a blowgun...

- I said hide! - I have it.

Look out, it must be here!

Can you see any traces?

Please be careful.

We'll get him this time!

Emma.

The last thing I want is to risk my life for a poisonous berry.

I'm starving, Emma.

Will it be edible?

It better not be.

We have been walking for hours.

- Do you know where we are going? - Yes, I do.

We need to go north.

We are not going north. We are heading south... west.

Okay, we're going to...

Actually, I don't know where we are. I got lost following Hope.

Did you get lost?

You mean we are lost in the heart of the jungle?

What a rush!

This is no laughing matter!

What an explosion...

It's an old-fashioned term. Even my grandmother doesn't use it anymore.

-Aw! - Hello! What is it?

Are you hurt? Hold on to me.

Can you do that? I'll carry you. It's okay, I got you.

Let's go.

There you go.

- Is it better? - There you go, yes.

- Where does it hurt? - Right there.

My ankle and my foot.

- Is it here? - Yes, it is.

-Whoa! -Whoa! - Hold on tight! I've done it!

- Why didn't you say anything, Emma? - It didn't hurt at first.

- Isn't that a pile? - Well, that was fun.

- Is it serious? - No, it will heal soon.

OK...

- Do not move from here. - OK, OK.

- Are you okay? - OK, OK.

I will be right back.

Hope?

Hope? Hope?

It's clear.

Thank you for coming.

Ouch!

What is happening?

This is a good thing.

I will give you the dressing that Oré gave you.

I am sorry about Kitten.

One evening I was at home,

a few years ago,

and I heard the squeal of tires of a car.

A few seconds later..,

the cat flap on my door moved.

and I saw at home the little creature.

A small paw had been crushed by the car.

Then he looked at me.

He had an adorable little nose and beady eyes.

The vet told me to take him to him or he would die.

And so...

use the house...

for the first time in two years.

He was saved and I found the strength to be a teacher.

It is my passion.

I no longer left home without him.

Maybe, from now on, he can no longer do without me.

I am sure he is fine.

He must have found himself a nice little corner where he can live in the jungle.

Yes, he has.

Now get some rest.

This is a good thing.

She really is Wonder Woman.

What does Asha mean?

It means 'jump'.

Aspects.

It indicates something to us.

Let's hope so, then.

I have no idea where we are.

Stop it!

She wants me to follow her.

Put me down.

Welcome to the website.

- So, what do we have here? - Fifty thousand parrots,

but this week we only caught only a thousand spider monkeys.

One thousand? That's ridiculous.

It's not even close to what we agreed on.

We will stick to our agreements. We will finish within a week.

I hope so, because I'm not paying you to get drunk and party with your friends.

I know why you pay us.

Is this what you wanted, Hope?

Fine copy.

Did you bring me here?

- What do you have for me? - A baby crocodile.

It is nice.

Good work.

No, no, no, no! Please, don't shoot!

Emma! Emma! Emma!

That's my jaguar. Go get him.

Don't shoot, boys. The boss wants the jaguar. Follow me, boys.

Get some sleep now.

No, no, no!

Get the girl. Quickly!

No, no...

We caught him.

The jaguar will leave the country as soon as possible.

Tell your customer about it.

Look who's here! Are you following in your mother's footsteps?

My God, how you have grown!

I'm sorry, cara, but business is business.

No, no, no, no!

- Get in the car. - I don't trust you.

It is too far away. It will will never get there.

- Get in! - All right, then.

But I'm the one driving. Get in the back.

- Come on, hurry up! - Time to put on your helmet.

- Hurry up, hurry up! - I've got it!

- Hold on tight. I'm on my way. - Yeah, come on, what are you waiting for? Go on, go.

- Can you even drive? - Let's go, take it easy!

All right, then. Here we go.

Yes...

- Hold on tight! - Be careful!

Hold on tight!

I will not abandon you.

I will not allow anyone to harm you.

Mothers do not always come to our rescue.

But we are together, and that's what counts.

Nothing can separate us.

Do you understand that?

Nothing will do that.

Look out! That way, on the right!

What is happening?

Hope and Emma in the forest.

They are held captive by poachers! Poachers have caught them!

There is not a minute to lose. Look at this!

I'm sorry, dear, but business is business.

No, no, wait, leave her.

She will be calmer next to her jaguar.

- I am here with you. - Take the video to channel 31.

To Channel 31? Why is that?

We need help. Everyone here watches that channel.

If they see Emma, they react. Where are they going?

They are on their way to the hacienda.

- And how do you know that? - Excuse me, Dad.

I just wanted to buy a phone.

- I wasn't going to... - Get ready and take us there.

I don't know what I would give to have his self-control.

I have failed. The responsibility is mine alone.

Go on, hurry up!

They are on their way to the hacienda. Don't forget it!

- I don't think... - Don't listen to his fears! Go now!

I am going! I am going!

Channel 31?

Excuse me! This is an emergency situation.

This girl is Emma Edison.

She is a young woman from here.

You may remember the name

because her mother was killed by animal traffickers.

And now Emma is in danger.

She is willing to risk her life for the love of a jaguar!

At this very moment, Emma is locked in a truck

with their jaguar and they are on their way to the hacienda.

If we do not act now,

Emma will be killed.

Whose side are you on?

This is not just about protecting only the animals in the rainforest,

but to protect all humanity!

It is a race against time.

Possibly you are convinced

that traffickers help you to feed your families,

but this is not true.

There is nothing further from the truth.

These people are destroying the future of your children.

So we must find the strength to react!

Together.

We are the first generation to have a clear awareness

on the value of the natural environment.

and of the effects that cause our reckless actions.

We could be the last generation capable of turning the tide.

You know, this is a defining moment in history.

We have an unbeatable window of opportunities

which will soon be closed forever.

You must find the strength to change your destiny.

Do not be afraid.

This girl...

has shown you the way.

Open your eyes.

Stop!

The competition ends here.

What is happening?

Take it easy, take it easy.

Send him away! That is an order.

- Do not move! - Don't move!

Stay calm, don't make us shoot!

Get out of here! Get out of here!

I don't want it to get ugly.

Okay, we can agree on something.

You need money, right? I can give it to you.

Please.., let's try to stay calm!

Caimi, do not resist!

Hands behind your back! You are under arrest!

What are you doing? What are you doing, man? Get your hands off me!

Quiet, quiet!

- It was you who did it. - Thanks to you.

Come here, on the side of the truck.

Emma? You win.

You did it. You made it happen.

Thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

- She is the best teacher in the world! - I know, I know.

I know. Thank you very much.

You were right!

You were right. You must not abandon your ideals.

Nothing is impossible.

Hope, wait for me!

Oh, Kitten! It's a miracle!

Kitten, my darling!

Mom...

Please tell my dad that I'm sorry.

I feel guilty because I make him anxious

and because I lied to him.

I'm sorry I let him down.

You are wrong. I am not wrong. You have not disappointed me once.

Your mother would be proud of you.

Her best qualities are your strengths.

Tell him one other thing.

That even if he is a lousy cook

and cannot comfort you after you've had a bad nightmare,

he is the best father in the world.

Tell him that I am proud to be his daughter.

And then tell him that I love him more than anything else.

Come here.

Ellie, you win. I get it now.

Let's stop here.

OK? All together.

This is where we belong.

Is it true?

Yes, I do.

Yes! Yes!

What are you doing?

We are safe now, I promise.

Would you like a hug?

I will never leave you again, Hope. We will never be apart.

I love you so much.

Where are you going to go?

Wait for me! Wait for me, I'm coming!

Where do you want to go?

Do you want to go to the doghouse?

Do you like to stay in your little house?

Come here, then.

And now what do you want to do? Where are you going to go?

You really are crazy!

- Here you are. - Thank you very much.

What do you think of this place?

- Come on, let's go! - Yes, yes, yes!
