(Carp Reborn S3)

(Episode 8 In the Plot)

Song Ming, are you going to interfere?

No, because I respect you both.

Step aside, then.

Some hit men in Solace City,

might be interested in you.

Our Head wants to invite you two for tea.

Please follow us.

In this way, you will have less trouble.

You are the biggest trouble for me.

Hey, are you okay?

The second round of the Legendary Mighty Weapon Feast ends.

Results will be published later.

All people should leave the spot as soon as possible.

It's the Tripod that selects mighty weapons from the world.

Tell me.

What do you want to know?

What answer do you want to get

if you can only ask me one question?

What I said was not a request.

Why the deadly poison?

I wanted you to win.

At that time, I only knew he was Dai Wuji.

I thought you would ask about Song Yan.

Why did you come here?

Song Yan was deluded by Dai Xiao

into participating in the Feast.

Dai Xiao?

Song Hongde cherished his daughter so much.

But when Song Yan left the Desperate Land,

where was he? Didn't he try to stop her?

Did you know this place before?

Yes.

Brother Wang, do you know

the intended purpose of the Craftsmanship Tripod?

To awaken Mirage.

What will happen after that?

I found by chance

in a relic in the Desperate Land

that the Song family led the siege

against the Lin family in the old days.

As for the reason why the Song family betrayed...

Brother Wang, do you know about it?

It was one of Lin Xiu's plans,

which was about the Mirage,

that had changed the stance of the Song family.

Ah Qi's final score is 70. Qualified!

Keep record of the rest of the results in the Secret Weapon group.

Few metallic dummies were broken this time,

in the Short-range Weapon group.

Clean up this place.

Sure.

Wait.

What... What's this?

What's wrong? Doesn't it count?

Who are you?

Why did you break the dummies of the Exquisite Workshop?

A participant breaking props on the field

is nothing unusual. Don't ask why.

But...

Don't say "but".

Is there a rule telling that

all participants should be on the field?

If you are a participant,

may I know your name?

I can check if you are on the name list.

I'm Xia Ruqing.

She's Xia Tianwang.

They are on the list.

But...

they didn't show up on the field

of the Short-range Weapon group.

How did they break the dummy?

Is there any question?

In the contest, no one had noticed her action.

Maybe she had taken advantage of the chance

when Wang Sheng became the limelight.

If so, you should be in the Secret Weapon group.

And the points should count towards

Miss Tianwang's result.

No, the points should be mine.

She is my weapon.

I say she is a short-range weapon.

Doesn't she look like that?

But... It...

Don't say "but".

Miss, in the first round,

your weapon was not Miss Tianwang.

I've changed my weapon temporarily.

Is that forbidden?

At last, please tell us who your craftsman is.

You can guess where he is now.

Congratulations. Xia Ruqing, qualified!

Master, you're in big trouble.

Master, you're in big trouble.

Go on.

A pair of sisters named Xia Ruqing and Xia Tianwang

is very horrible.

In the next round, if they are your opponents,

you should be pretty careful, Master.

Got it.

You said Lin Xiu had a plan about Mirage.

And Mirage is the origin of all Spirits.

That's right.

When time began, Mirage was born.

Since then, numerous Spirits have been derived from Mirage.

The difference in Spirit causes inequality in the world.

Inequality?

Do you forget that Spirit introduces

discriminatory treatment?

Lin Xiu's Spirit was a sparrow at first.

Before the sparrow became a phoenix,

she had been bullied a lot.

It might be fate that she had discovered two things.

The first one is Mirage.

The second one is the Exquisite Workshop.

The Exquisite Workshop?

But a friend of mine told me that

Lin Xiu ordered the construction of the Exquisite Workshop.

It's on me for not specifying that.

The thing that Lin Xiu found

was the predecessor of the Exquisite Workshop:

a strange relic.

It seemed that Lin Xiu's phoenix Spirit was also awakened there.

She took power with her phoenix,

and ordered to build the Exquisite Workshop

on the strange relic.

Her purpose might be researching on something

or protecting something.

I know only in part.

Brother Wang, do you have anything to add?

No. Get on with the story about Lin Xiu's plan.

(Mighty, Legendary Mighty) Mirage is the mother of all Spirits.

It can breed Spirits, as well as destroy them.

Based on my speculation,

the only purpose of Lin Xiu's plan

is subverting Spirit and eliminating inequality.

With this, the purpose can be achieved.

But what has this got to do with the Nine Cuts?

Nine... What?

Never mind.

Last question, what does this mean?

For some reason,

Lin Xiu had crafted five legendary mighty weapons

for the Five Families.

The wristband

is the greatest treasure of the Song family:

the Grand Master Wristband.

Brother Wang, please have a try.

Do you want to give it to me?

What's your purpose?

Just to bury the hatchet.

As for how I got it,

please don't ask, Brother Wang.

I see.

Stealing Song Hongde's possessions,

you've got the guts.

Likewise.

Master Lu!

The Head said since you rushed to host,

you should pay for repairing

all the fields in the Feast.

Pay for that, too.

I, I... I...

It's great.

I'm glad you like it, Brother Wang.

However, I won't take it.

Song Ming,

you offered me your speculation.

I should offer mine in return.

You came at a too perfect time with a too perfect story.

So was the thing that you gave to me.

Therefore, I have a wild guess.

You and Dai Xiao must be in this together.

Am I right?

Go back and tell Dai Xiao.

If he wants to bet before figuring out what Mission Mirage is,

he should have more patience.

By the way,

I'll forgive and forget what you've done to Song Yan in the past.

But I'll take over protecting her.

You'd better stay out of my business.

The assessment of Song Ming's comprehensive ability is excellent.

You'd better team up to complete the mission.

You should stay out, too.

But what I said was true.

Dai Xiao, I've underestimated him again.

You win the little game between you and me.

Song Ming,

if you bet on whether Wang Sheng will believe you or not,

you'll have 99% chance to lose.

Bomb!

What? Why did you still have a bomb?

Young Lord, where are you going?

To watch the game.

(Baoqingyu Lodge)

You've arrived at the main structure of Baoqingyu Lodge.

(Baoqingyu Lodge)

Wang, I got bad news.

Your Long-range Kill Gun

can't reproduce its former power in the short run.

But there is an option.

If you can get enough materials,

I promise that you will win

the one-on-one contest in the next round.

What do you need? I'll go and get them.

This is the list.

You can get all these at Baoqingyu Lodge.

Baoqingyu Lodge?

Do I have to return to Solace City?

No. The one in Solace City is a branch store.

You should go to the headquarter outside the Imperial City.

Take Yu's pass token.

It will ensure unhindered access everywhere.

Oh, you should take the money, too.

Are these materials only for repairing my gun?

Master, what else would they be for?

Is there a case, I mean, a possibility

that the materials can enable the Spirit

to merge with a weapon?

How do you get the idea?

I got some advice from a great master.

Wang, the material that you mentioned

is the greatest treasure of Baoqingyu Lodge.

I'll take this one.

Welcome! What would you like to have?

Hello?

A Mission destination is discovered:

Five Elements Platform, Baoqingyu Lodge.

Mission Zhe of the Nine Cuts is unlocked.
