you can't know people from their appearance.

I never thought Attorney Ren would be so evil.

It's good that Tuo Ye found it out before it's too late.

Otherwise, after he sells our whole village

we would still be counting the notes for him.

What's in the bucket?

Is it the underground water in the field of Uncle Hua Ye Cai?

Yes.

You can't use this.

What are you doing?

It's highly possible that it's poisonous.

We took the water with some efforts.

It's always the best if it comes from the nature.

So it's not just the land you try to take away from me.

What is the matter with you?

This is precious underground water.

Attorney Ren suspects that the underground water in Hua Tien Village

has been polluted by the glass manufacturing factories.

It's probably why Uncle Hua Ye Cai, after drinking the water all this time

is sick right now.

He's decided that he'll stay and find the evidence.

I am thinking

the amount of arsenic in the water from the glass manufacturing factories

has endangered the environment of Hua Tien Village.

If we can prove this

we know for sure why Huan Yu has to buy our land.

Because if this goes public

Huan Yu will definitely be in big trouble.

-Mom. -What?

He isn't lying. That is true.

This is the soil and water samples we got from the field of Uncle Hua Ye Cai.

And we will take him to the hospital to have a thorough check-up.

When I have this sample analyzed. I'll compare it with the water from the those factories.

Then we'll have the results.

Mom.

I believe in Tuo Ye.

Let's not drink this 'natural water' anymore.

Tuo Ye.

Go find the drainage pipe of the glass manufacturing factories.

Get a sample

and take it to this place to have it analyzed.

(Biotechnology Examination Laboratory)

I will take care of this.

Now hurry and take Uncle Hua Ye Cai to the hospital.

Wait. Tuo Ye.

Please be careful.

I heard the people at the glass manufacturing factories are very vicious.

Don't worry.

Bin Zai will help me.

Uncle Hua Ye Cai is waiting.

I should get going now.

I'm going to Taipei and will be back.

Probably won't be able to join you for dinner.

You take care then.

Uncle Hua Ye Cai.

This is my fiancee, He Yi Qian.

Don't worry.

She is even more honest and kind than me.

If there are angels in this world

that would be her.

Attorney Ren.

You really have good taste.

Uncle Cai Hua.

Don't listen to his nonsense.

I am just a normal doctor.

Haha, but....My name is Cai Hua.

I am Uncle Hua Ye Cai.

Hua...

Uncle Hua Ye.. Cai?

Uncle Hua Ye Cai.

I will take your blood sample now.

There you go.

Uncle Hua Ye Cai, take a rest first.

I will have this analyzed.

Thanks.

I am certain that Uncle Hua Ye Cai has Black Foot Disease.

But why did it take him so long to see a doctor?

With this kind of disease, if he keeps putting off the treatment

he will have to amputate his foot.

Guang Xi.

Does this really have something to do with my dad's glass manufacturing factories?

Eighty percent possibility.

Uncle Hua Ye Cai can no longer grow any flowers in his own fields.

As for the hands of the villagers

they've started to show redness, inflammation, and peeling.

We need to wait until the analysis of the water sample

before the truth becomes clear.

Is it possible that we...

Impossible.

How do you know what I am about to say?

You wanted to ask...

if our wedding might be canceled by my dad because of this, right?

Guang Xi.

As long as it's the right thing to do

I will always be by your side.

It's clear that Dad made a mistake.

Besides.

He can't possibly stop me from being with you.

Great.

I will take you and elope.

Good. Where will you take me?

Hua Tien Village.

Tell me,

if it's true that Dad's factories did do damage to the environment of Hua Tien Village

apart from the compensation

what else might he be asked to take responsibility for?

Don't worry.

I will try to save Uncle. Stop him from making further mistakes.

I will try my best to eliminate the damage to everyone.

Hey.

Before, you said you would settle this matter soon and come back.

It's been just a few days.

How come you've changed so much?

Maybe those villagers have changed me.

Remember I told you before

about the landlady and her kid.

The kid has Diabetes Type 1.

On Parent Day at the kindergarten

I pretended to the the alien daddy

hoping to give Xiao Le a surprise.

That little kid.

Can you believe he told me

we have to be true to ourselves.

A five-year-old kid

taught me to be true to myself.

Therefore.

I decided to find out the answer.

No matter what's going to come up.

The only thing I know... is that those villagers

can't lose their homes for no reason.

Are you become addicted to being someone else's dad?

No wonder you refuse to come back here.

Leave all the wedding preparation to me.

Just the idea of deciding what wedding it should be has given me such a headache.

Is it possible...

you are feeling something for them?

How's that possible?

That single mom already has a boyfriend.

Please stop thinking like this.

I'm just joking.

Why are you so nervous?

Oh, right.

You say the name of the kid is Xiao Le, right?

Uncle Cai Hua.

Remember to take the medicine on time

so that your foot will recover faster

And come back to check it next week.

Doctor He.

It's very kind of you.

I will definitely listen to you.

Also.

We have beautiful mountains, clean water and great scenery in Hua Tien Village.

Everyone is very friendly. Come to visit us when you have time.

I'm sure

the mom of Xiao Le will welcome you.

Okay, Uncle Hua Ye Cai.

You have my word. I will go for sure.

Right. Guang Xi.

These are natural fruit biscuits for kids with diabetes.

There is no sugar apart from the natural sweetness of the fruit.

Please give Xiao Le this for me.

Thank you.

When I come back

no matter in what style you choose to get married, eastern, western or even Arabic

I will be more than happy to cooperate.

No problem, as long as you show up on time.

I will email you the medical report tomorrow.

Let's go.

Remember to visit us.

No problem.

Tuo Ye, you are back in time.

I've made this herbal medicine for you.

Come and drink it.

Can I take a shower first?

Now my whole body stinks.

It smells really bad.

Wait!

It'll be a waste of a shower if you start sweating after taking the medicine.

Come and drink it first.

I am telling you.

Ever since I knew that you had a fight with Fang

do you have any idea how worried I have been for you?

Don't move.

You've got this old injury from growing flowers and moving flowers before.

Your muscle has been injured ever since.

Mom and I have made you lots of herbal medicine.

Fighting? Don't you dare do that again.

Did you hear me?

Hurry and drink this. I will cool it for you.

Chi Xin.

I really don't want to drink this now.

You don't want to drink this?

Or you want me to give you an herbal massage?

Or a hot compress! I will get ready for that.

Chi Xin.

Fine.

I will drink it.

Tuo Ye.

When I heard that you got into a fight to save Bin Zai

I went to the temple and asked the gods for this.

Take it with you.

I think you know

ever since my biological mom

exchanged me with a hen.

I've been destined to do all the chores

and take care of you two.

What about yourself?

Are you happy with this?

I think it's great like this.

Nothing is wrong with this.

It never really came to me

there would be other options for my life.

And I don't really want to think about it.

Otherwise, I would have gone to that competition

for all the aboriginal idols.

You know that I love to sing and dance.

But...

I am really scared if I get selected

my life would be very different.

I really think you should go.

I heard the preliminary round has begun already?

Tuo Ye.

You really like to joke.

But...

I love your sense of humor.

Chi Xin, listen to me....

Tuo Ye.

Do you still remember

when we were in Hua Tien senior high

I was the captain of the cheer-leading squad.

And Fang was the super senior basketball team captain, held back many times from graduation.

At that time, when I showed up

everyone would run to me and forget to play basketball.

Chi Xin, listen to me.

Would you like to listen to me do the old chants to reminisce?

I still remember them.

I can chant them for you.

Chi Xin, don't be like this.

I don't want to hear anything.

GO! GO! LET'S GO!

Why can't you listen to me?

Hua Tien! Hua Tien! Hua Tien!

I only see you as my younger sister.

GO! GO!...AH!

If Miss He phones you

please say thanks for me.

Thanks for giving Xiao Le so many biscuits.

Why don't you tell her in person?

Right.

How is Uncle Hua Ye Cai?

Yi Qian introduced him to a very good doctor.

Then. About your fiancee...

can she understand?

She is on my side.

Learning that the factories of her dad produce the pollution

she feels bad for everyone.

You two make a perfect couple.

You are extremely nice.

She is pretty and kind-hearted.

How do you know she is pretty?

Have you seen her before?

You know that's out of question.

You must have

great taste.

That's true.

If...

you really want to thank her

I will take the carrot back to the fridge.

Yes.

Do you want me to open it for you?

I'll open it because I want to eat it, too.

Da Zai, you are here.

Mr. Ren.

I've sent all the samples to be analyzed.

We will know the results by tomorrow noon.

What next?

You are here in time.

I've got some data that we can study together.

Take a look here.

It shows that the second year after the opening of the glass factory

the amount of arsenic in the soil of Hua Tien Village

was almost over the control standard.

But it went down in the third year.

Do you think this is possible?

We never had the land fallow

or soil recovery in Hua Tien Village.

Normally, the amount of arsenic would not be down so much the next year.

Exactly.

That means that starting the third year, there has been something wrong

with the Environmental Impact Assessment of the glass manufacturing factories.

But in the end, they manage to get the EIA passed.

Someone must be behind this.

Besides, this analysis comes from this person.

(Zhang Zheng Ji)

This Zhang Zheng Ji is the authority of the environmental protection section.

Is it possible that he would be faking this EIA for Huan Yu Enterprise?

It's very likely.

Businessmen colluding with the government is something that happens a lot.

If we can prove that Zhang Zheng Ji has been faking the EIA for Huan Yu Enterprise.

We can prove that Huan Yu knew about the pollution all these years.

We can prove all this was plotted

including them swindling the land through illegal gambling.

They did all these things to cover the scandals

and evade legal responsibility.

Zhang Zheng Ji is on tour, giving speeches

on environmental issues these days.

It's likely

there is a symposium tomorrow.

I will ask my assistant

to get the exact time and place.

Zhang Zheng Ji is on tour, giving speeches

on environmental issues lately.

It's likely there is a symposium tomorrow.

I will ask my assistant to get the exact time and place.

Time for dinner.

Wow, there must be my favorite carrots, right?

Okay, I will help.

Wow, such a feast today.

Xiao Le, dinner time!

Xiao Le.

Didn't you normally sit beside me?

Xiao Le.

Didn't you say that if I am not by your side, you wouldn't eat?

Please don't put me in such a dilemma.

Be good. Eat up!

Coming.

One plate for each. Take it yourself.

Thank you.

Xiao Le. I just heated this soup.

It smells so good. I will get you a bowl.

Wow, it's my favorite pineapple bitter melon chicken.

Xiao Le, here. This is for you.

It's Da Zai's favorite pineapple bitter melon chicken.

Mu Cheng, did you make it especially for him?

Exactly. This is Da Zai's favorite.

Then as usual

I will have the chicken and you will have the bitter melon.

No problem. Give me the bitter melon.

Da Zai loves bitter melon the most.

Thank you.

No problem.

You've been risking your life in order to save Bin Zai from Fang.

There is nothing I could do to help you.

The only thing I can do is to keep you healthy and make you a good soup.

I will go get the bowls for soup.

Xiao Le, take more. Here.

Xiao Le.

Listen to me.

We can't be picky about what we eat.

Who taught you this bad habit?

What if Xiao Le can't grow tall?

But you don't like carrots yourself.

Carrots are an exception.

We are from Planet Dahra, we don't need any.

Without carrots, we can still grow tall and strong

just like me.

Really?

Da Zai forced me to eat carrots every time.

Mr. Ren Guang Xi.

Don't teach Xiao Le this kind of nonsense.

Carrots are a must!

Apart from being good to your eyes

it's rich in fiber so it helps keep you from getting constipation.

It can also enhance your immune system

prevent you from getting cancers and have anti-aging effects.

It also decreases your chances of getting testicular cancer.

Don't listen to him.

Take more of the carrots.

Bitter melon is a must.

Apart from reducing the inflammation

it is rich in Vitamin C.

Everyone calls it the C King of the melons.

The most important thing is that

bitter melon helps to regulate insulin.

It's great for kids like Xiao Le.

Can I not eat either of them?

No way!

Here.

Have some soup.

And...

I am asking for an empty plate

to take the leftovers in the back to feed the stray dogs.

Anyone?

Here.

Mu Cheng, take mine.

Protest! Protest!

Ok ok! Silence.

Let's hear him out.

Ever since I came here last time

one week has passed.

Tonight I am here to remind you

the deadline is tomorrow.

Mark my words. Stop wasting your time protesting here.

Go home and pack your stuff.

You'd better

start to leave right now.

Announcement for moving us by force.

We are not scared at all.

Everyone, let's sit here and see what he can do.

Sit.

Here. Attorney Ren is here.

We don't have to be afraid.

Hurry. Attorney Ren is here.

Why not convince these naive villagers

to cooperate with me willingly?

Otherwise, they will be the ones who will suffer.

I wasn't that sure in the beginning

but seeing how anxious you are right now

I am certain that my suspicions are correct.

Huan Yu knows clearly that their glass factories are causing pollution

but they didn't say anything to the villagers.

You even want to buy their land to cover the truth up

in the hope of evading the legal responsibility and compensation.

That's the reason why Huan Yu is so anxious to buy Hua Tien Village.

Ren Guan Xi, have you been in the village for so long

that your brain is getting dumber?

How's it possible that a big enterprise like us

if it had this kind of problem

would still keep the factories running?

Also, you are accusing us without any evidence.

That's just...just ridiculous!

Whether we have the evidence or not, you'll know it by tomorrow.

By that time, I will represent Hua Tien Village

and get their rightful compensation from Huan Yu.

It's too late no matter what evidence you have.

Now you can talk as much as you want.

Anyway, as soon as tomorrow noon strikes

For their illegal intruding and invading of private property

I will send all these naive, stupid villagers

to the police station one by one.

You think we are scared?

Go ahead.

We've got a lawyer here.

You bad guy! Get out.

Xiao Le.

Mu Cheng, let go of me.

Tell the bad guy to leave.

Liang Mu Cheng and Ren Guang Xi

had been having sex in Shende Hall for a long time.

And Ren Guang Xi is trying to cover his own scandal

so he defends for Liang Mu Cheng.

This could be, the biggest scandal in the history of our school.

Ren Guang Xi.

So this is what it's all about.

No wonder you can be against your father-in-law

no matter what it takes.

It turns out

you now have your old love

so you forget all about your new love.

How sorry I feel for Yi Qian right now!

It seems that

even if you've forgotten everything in the past

some things will never change.

What do you mean?

Nothing.

I just suddenly feel that

you are pathetic.

Your past and everything you know right now

are all fabricated by others.

If one day you finally realize

the things that everyone else already knows about

while you were the only one left out

will you be full of hatred?

Will you still accept them?

Go away! Bad Guy!

Hurry up and never come back.

What should we do now?

Attorney Ren.

Is it true about what you've told him?

It makes me so worried.

They not only pollute our Hua Tien Village

but try to lie to us.

These kind of people are really evil. We should report them to the police.

Lock them up for life! Indeed. Lock them up!

- Right. - Village chief.

The analysis report won't be out until tomorrow at noon.

Right now we don't have any evidence.

There is no use going to the police.

But they are the one to blame.

Attorney Ren, please.

I am begging you, whatever it takes, please try your best to help us.

Would you?

Yes. Please help us. Please...

Thank you. Please...

Don't worry.

Village chief.

I've promised you before.

I will keep my words and settle this matter for you.

Thank you so much. We are really grateful for this.

He will definitely help us.

Now we only have one option.

Get Zhang Zheng Ji and prove that he faked EIA all this time.

Tomorrow morning he will attend a symposium.

That will be our last chance.

Let's split up.

Mu Cheng.

You should go with Ren Guang Xi to gather the evidence.

Tomorrow morning Shu Fang Guo will bring people

and try to force us out.

I will stay as backup...

and try to buy us some time.

Go get me the details

of this woman named Liang Mu Cheng in Hua Tien Village.

Right.

Here is your coffee.

Thanks.

How are you going to prove

these EIA are all fake?

This guy.

Li Wang Cai?

It's because I hit this guy that I am here in Hua Tien Village.

That guy is really a bastard.

I just won the case of sexual assault for him on the second trial.

In order to win the lawsuit

I told him not to go back to work for now.

He is our safe bet.

How can I help?

You just need to do your job like now

being my assistant.

But... make sure you dress up tomorrow. So that I can take you out there.

Where are we going?

Shende University.

Liang Mu Cheng.

I have to say

for a single mom, you've taken good care of yourself.

Is it going to work?

I am afraid I might screw up your plan.

Don't be afraid.

I am here.

What's wrong?

Nothing.

Just feel a bit strange

Why is this symposium held at this university?

Is it very strange?

My mom takes Shende University as a marketplace.

She holds various events every year.

Let's go.

It's hard to believe

that for all the years I'd spent here

I have no impression of it at all.

Don't worry.

For the past few years

I haven't stepped foot here.

No one will recognize me.

Let's go.

The symposium is held at the Hall.

And the hall...?

You seem to really know your way around here.

Yes.

That's because I used to come here quite often to meet Tuo Ye.

It seems that you and Tuo Ye have a great relationship.

I am just curious

Why didn't you choose Tuo Ye

but chose the dad of Xiao Le instead?

Attorney Ren.

We are here for business.

Any personal questions

won't be answered.

Zhang Zheng Ji has covered up for big corporates many times in the past.

He must be very careful in doing things.

In order to make him let the cat out of the bag

we've already put many bombshells in place.

Now we will only have to wait for him to fall into the traps.

Sorry.

I am really sorry.

I am in a rush to attend the symposium.

That's why I didn't see you

and accidentally bumped into you.

-I am truly sorry. -It's fine.

I am here for the symposium, too.

Thank you.

Excuse me, sir.

Which company are you representing?

I am the CEO of the Health and Wellness Foods Co.

Li Wang Cai.

This is my assistant.

I just signed in yesterday. You should have a record of that.

Please hold on a moment. I will check right now.

Yes, Mr. Li. The symposium is about to begin.

Please enter immediately.

Director,

it's about time.

Would you like to prepare a bit?

How much time is left?

We still have ten minutes.

It never occurred to me there would be so many young talents attending today's event.

The enthusiasm you've shown on environmental issues is really encouraging.

Welcome.

Director Zhang.

I am honored to be here for this symposium.

You are...?

I am the CEO of the Health and Wellness Foods Co.

Li Wang Cai.

So it's Director Li.

Welcome.

Should I address you as Wang Cai Brother or..?

As you wish, Director.

This is my assistant.

Bring some drinks for Director and me.

We have something to discuss.

Yes.

Director Li.

It seems like

you prepared something for today.

Director Zhang.

As the head of the environmental protection section

if you don't mind

I do have some issues to consult you on.

Bring them on.

I heard that you are very good at dealing with

environmental assessments for enterprises.

For example,

most of the environmental impact assessments for Huan Yu Enterprise are in your charge.

Moreover, the results

normally make everyone happy.

How are you so knowledgeable about this?

It's Director He of Huan Yu Enterprise

who introduced you to me.

Do you know the person from Project Planning and Development in Huan Yu?

His name is Shu Fang Guo. You know him, right?

I know he takes charge of all the issues

of the glass manufacturing factories under Huan Yu.

About this case

I know quite a few details.

Manager Shu has given me lots of secret information.

If you have time

I really want to have a talk with you.

So...

Director Li and Manager Shu are old acquaintances.

But

This Hua Tien Village case is a bit tricky.

But I am thinking

as long as you are willing to help

no matter how tricky it is

you can settle the problem.

Miss?

I'm sorry.

Have we met before?

I think you recognized the wrong person.

Miss, I really didn't mean bad.

I work here at Shende University. I'm helping out today with the symposium.

I used to be a student here too. I recognize your face...

It's impossible.

You've mistaken me for someone else.

Excuse me.

This lady is my assistant.

And she is also my girlfriend.

Is there any problem?

Thanks for helping me out.

Now that he is gone, you can stop acting.

Of course I have to continue.

Don't be nervous.

Just be natural.

Oh, the wine.

I'm sorry that I didn't explain to you.

This is my assistant and my girlfriend as well.

I should have guessed that.

Your assistant is so pretty.

She is not only pretty but also kind-hearted.

Just a bit indifferent to strangers.

A bit weird-tempered.

It's a pleasure to meet you.

Thanks.

May I ask your name?

My name is Liang Mu... Liang Xiao Le. My name is Liang Xiao Le.

It's really nice to meet you.

Let's get back to our previous topic.

Allow me to put it straight.

I am thinking about setting up a factory in the south.

But the location is just beside this reservoir.

Therefore, we have some problems.

I am wondering if Director

can help me pass on the EIA?

If you are willing to help me with this

feel free to contact me anytime.

And of course, if I can contribute something to our 'environmental protection'

no matter how much it's going to cost

I will be more than happy to pay.

But...

on the condition that

you can guarantee everything can go smoothly.

There won't be any problems.

I am pretty sure you know

how the case of Hua Tien Village was settled.

Just leave it to me.

You have my words that everything is going to be fine.

Of course.

if necessary

we will need some special methods.

You mean...?

We will need to discuss this more in the future

At that time you will understand.

Within Environmental Protection Bureau, I have the final say.

See? Like the case with Hua Tien Village

It doesn't matter if the amount of arsenic goes beyond the standards.

As long as I talk to my staff at the examination center

everything goes well with the factories under the Huan Yu Corporate.

Director Zhang.

I feel much relieved after hearing you say that.

Guess we will meet soon after the symposium is over.

Is that you?

It's really you.

Why are you here?

Mr. Ren.

How many times have I told you?

No need to address me like that cause I am younger.

Right?

This is Mr. Ren. And we are like brothers.

That's because I did you a big favor before, right?

Like brothers?

Why are you here? Aren't you busy with your lawsuits?

How come you would be free for this symposium?

You got the key point.

I AM busy with the lawsuit.

That's exactly why I am here now.

If you don't mind.

I need to have a word with my mate.

Assistant Liang, please take care of Director for me.

Shall we?

A lawsuit?

Exactly!

The lawsuit he was talking about is the same case we want your help with.

The residents there want to sue us.

That's why we need your help urgently.

I see.

Director Li.

It's all because of me that you can be free of your legal responsibility.

Attorney Ren.

Today I am here

because of another ongoing case.

But I am warning you.

If you don't want to be locked up

do as I tell you to.

Understand?

How's the thing going on there?

Shu Fang Guo has already brought in the police.

We've successfully got the words from Zhang Zheng Ji.

Mu Cheng and I will be back right now.

Okay, I will try to buy more time.

But hurry, I am afraid that we can't hold it off for long.

Hey! What are you doing?

The police have attacked people!

There is no justice in the world.

The police are hurting people.

Bin Zai!

Let him go.

Where is Bin Zai being taken to?

Go away.

Stop! Back off.

You Shu brat!

Stop there.

If you can tell the police to release him

I will take all my people to leave.

But let us finish our last thing.

We will leave after this.

This Attorney Ren is so weird.

He said I can't leave unless I finish sorting out the garbage.

This plastic bottle

Can it be recycled or not?

Director.

I had a good time talking to you.

But I am so sorry.

I just got a phone call from my office.

I really have to go first.

It's a shame that I can't stay for your symposium.

No problem.

I believe we still have the chance to talk about all the related issues in the near future.
