of Farmer Wants A Wife,

six farmers opened their hearts to love.

United in a common goal,

The challenging part to farming is the droughts, fires, floods.

It's pretty unpredictable,

so, you really need someone who can stand with you and support you,

and you support them through... through it all.

It's very important to find love in life.

Everyone needs it.

It just gives you the courage and the ability to back yourself,

knowing someone's in your corner.

Whatever you do, you're doing it together.

Farming's been in my blood for God knows how many years.

And then if you can find somebody else

who loves it just as much as you do,

and can understand the value of it all,

I think it's so special.

Our farmers began their epic adventure,

stepping out of their comfort zone...

So, do you usually go on dates with eight women?

..into a world of possibilities.

Our ladies came from all walks of life

to find their farmer.

but, ah, I don't think I can give any of the girls

a... a relationship that they deserve.

And one month on from their final decision,

they're coming together.

to reveal what's happened since the cameras stopped rolling.

Coming into this experience,

you know, I've been single for a fair while

and I was looking for, you know, a strong independent woman

that has the same dreams that I have.

Today, it's nice to be able to close the page

on what's been an incredible adventure.

This journey that I've gone through to find love,

it was difficult at times.

I was more vulnerable than I thought I was going to be.

I was wearing my heart on my sleeve.

Love is worth fighting for, so no regrets.

to get to where you are today.

We ended up doing a lot of swimming on my farm,

which was strange for me.

Look, it might have been cold on the farm,

but things were really heating up between you and Sarah, weren't they?

Yeah, Sarah was someone who always sort of kept me guessing.

I learnt so much about Sarah as I went along.

And, yeah, we got to go on a little romantic waterfall date.

That's where it all sort of got started there.

So, you had a great connection with Sarah from the start,

but then it seemed like Keely came out of nowhere.

So, how was it for you

having two very different kinds of relationship

at the same time?

Yeah, Keely took me by surprise, definitely.

I'm just gonna...

We had a very physical attraction towards each other.

Yeah, I thought there might not have been

as much substance there as there was,

and then I found out a lot more about her.

She loves an adventure

and she was strong and she was independent.

She was everything that I'd said that I was looking for.

Tell me a little bit about your date

halfway through the series, with Sarah.

We got to spend some time together

and yeah, I think that was the turning...

like, the real turning point for Sarah and I,

'cause we managed to connect on a bit of a deeper level, yeah.

I thought that the chances were really low

that I'd find what I want and it's kind of just...

You've kind of just blown everything out of the park.

I think you're pretty awesome.

I'm glad we're on the same page.

We both grew up in a very, very similar way.

We had a lot in common

and it just felt really natural and felt really comfortable.

So, was it a confusing time for you?

It was definitely a confusing time.

Like, I really liked

and had feelings for both... both ladies.

And because they were so different,

it was hard to sort of know which way I wanted to go there.

With Sarah, it felt more serious

and we did sometimes have our little rocky road.

How difficult was that moment for you?

The final decision was one of the most difficult things

I've ever done.

I feel like the responsibilities of the farm

means that I wouldn't be able to do the adventuring

that I still know that you will need and want.

And I'm sorry...

When you break up with someone,

usually, it's because you don't like that person,

or they've hurt you,

or they've let you down in some way, or something like that,

or, you know, it's just not there,

but I sort of didn't really feel like I had that.

How did you make that final decision?

I really had to reflect on

everything that I said I wanted from the beginning of all this,

and Sarah was that person for me.

I like that you can ground me when I get my head up in the clouds.

And I also like that you challenge me.

I do see myself falling for you.

Do you want to come back to the farm with me?

Yeah.

Well, I'm dying to know

what happened after your final decision.

Sarah came and spent some time on the farm with me

and I think, yeah,

we... we didn't probably get off to a great start there,

unfortunately.

It was quite testing for both of us, I think.

What happened?

Because when the cameras disappear, and it's just the two of you...

Yeah. It's different, isn't it?

And I think you're coming out of this with a lot of expectations,

and I felt like after the experience finished,

I didn't want to talk to anyone.

But, you know, that wasn't really fair of me.

I was supposed to be thinking of two people there.

You know, Sarah probably needed more than that.

And I guess, me probably not being my best self,

she was sort of thinking that she made the right choice.

We just weren't seeing eye to eye.

We were butting heads a bit and we weren't quite lining up.

Early on with returning to the farm, you know, just us alone...

You know, our expectation was that we'd come out

and it'd be like this big honeymoon period

and everything would be just really great.

But instead of a hype, it was like a sugar crash.

We'll head 'em up through the trees, head him up along that fence line.

We've quickly realised

that we weren't in a relationship

that had been going for two months.

Yeah.

We were in a relationship that was going for two days.

Yeah. It were...

We were learning heaps more new stuff about each other.

I don't like to depend on other people.

Oh, oh, you are hyper-independent.

In the last few years, like, I've just done everything by myself.

I feel like I can be quite very headstrong

and very stubborn and stuck in my ways.

I like to do things on my own terms

and when I like to do them and, yeah, that comes with me

sort of being single for, you know, 3.5 years now.

I think you probably needed a bit more from me

but I was just also...

I was just fed up about talking about anything.

It was challenging, definitely.

We did have good moments as well,

but I think neither of us were prepared

for how we were going to be feeling.

We were both very emotionally drained.

Do you feel like you had to get to know each other again?

Did you feel like you had to start all over again?

Yeah, through the process,

I learnt really big things about Sarah and things like that,

but it was the little things you miss.

You start learning intricate stuff about each other.

Like in a good way or a bad way?

All the little things. Both.

All good, both... This is life, isn't it?

It is, yeah.

I think there was just lots of... lots of unanswered questions

we still had for each other.

I definitely got on Sarah's nerves a bit sometimes.

And vice versa.

And Sarah, did he get on your nerves a bit?

Absolutely.

So, have you spent a lot of time together

since the final decision?

We're both really independent and we like our own space

and we have our own life.

And it was really important coming out of this to step away

and decompress as an individual.

I think so too. It gave us a bit of breathing room.

So, I guess what we all want to know is,

are you still together?

Um...

We're still hanging in there. Yeah.

I was a bit worried there.

Yeah, no, well, you know,

absence makes the heart grow fonder, they say.

So, yeah, we've, uh...

Yeah, we've had a bit of a time apart,

and it really has probably been one of the best things for us.

And Sarah, could we see a possible move to the farm?

Yeah, I mean, that is the goal. It always has been.

And I can see myself living down there.

And it's exciting to have those plans

and to be working towards the same goals.

Joe, has this farmer potentially found a wife?

Sarah's just shown time and time again

the person she is deep down and it just reflects what,

exactly what I've been looking for.

Well, we know right from the get go,

you had a special connection with Sophie.

So, we are both looking for that one partner in life,

Was there like a little flutter in your heart?

Yeah, yeah, no definitely. I think it's was pretty special.

So, you invited her back to the farm for the first 24 hour date.

How did that go?

I think it was really... It was really special to me

to bring somebody back up to the farm

and show them first.

And you showed her your grandparents house?

Yeah, I showed her my grandparents' house.

Nana and Pop moved up here in...

It was 1967.

Yeah. Two kids.

Yeah. Two babies, I think.

They started literally with nothing and then built all this.

So, it's something to be proud of.

I think it's definitely more than a friendship.

I think that there was definitely a big turning point

in our relationship.

My feelings for her, like, I knew they were real,

and I was like, "Oh, this girl's really special."

Yes, no, I had a very strong connection with Anna.

I think, right from the start, yeah, she blew me away a bit.

One thing that I think I really loved about you

when I read about you was how important family is to you,

because it's really important to me as well.

She's a really big personality

and she just fit in with the whole family.

And we really got to know each other on that deeper level.

We talked about some more important things,

what we'd do after everything's finished.

That's something that I'd like.

So, we hit it off really well.

We really did draw a deep connection,

What's happened since?

She came up, back up to home, a few more days here with me.

And what was the moment that you realised that?

Coming into the experience,

you know, you expect a farmer to work a lot

and things like that,

but I think my expectations were a little bit different too,

kind of what it was and being

so, far away from my support network and my family and friends

and then in turn I guess not having Dean there.

A lot of the time was quite hard on myself,

which I think then just made our romantic relationship

kind of fall apart a little bit.

Dean, this has been pretty rough.

How are you feeling?

Just get back... get back on the horse.

And get going again, you know. Are you really?

Yeah. There's no sense to be down.

Like you just...

There's so much more to live about life and yeah.

Like, we still text each other, and we still get along really well.

Like we are great friends. We've like, out of it, so...

I got to spend some really, really fun times

both in the experience and after we left

You are our youngest farmer this season.

Why did you decide to come on the show and look for love?

Well, I always kind of wanted to start something young

and like kind of keep building on that,

and I think that's pretty important.

And yeah, like a friend of mine signed me up.

So, I was kind of like, you know, it might be a good opportunity.

And yeah, I'm very glad I went through with it.

Krissy was the first lady you invited back to the farm.

Krissy, would you like to come to the farm...

Oh, yes! ..for the first day?

She's a little older, more mature, but sparks flew.

The first 24-hour date back at the farm was pretty romantic.

I'd probably usually go for someone a bit older anyway,

so, that went super well and yeah, we just had a great time

and there was definitely a connection there from the get go.

But you had one other deep connection

that was really quite effortless, didn't you?

The first moment I laid eyes on Sarah in the speed dates,

I thought she was very pretty, very nice, and we got along great.

You're 22. Yeah.

I'm 23, so similar.

Even though we're quite young, I think finding that person earlier.

Like everyone goes, "Oh, you're young,"

but like why wait?

What was the moment that you knew

there was something real there with Sarah?

It was probably our 24-hour date.

It was just super natural, just effortless.

I just feel like...

I'd say you probably do make me a better person.

Oh! And I love that.

How hard was it for you to make that final decision?

How did you weigh this up in your brain or in your heart?

Well, like I obviously had a very strong connection

with both ladies

but, yeah, I just kind of had to assess both

and see which one I saw working out long-term

and going to suit me best and which one could also

just kind of slip straight into my family.

There was some obstacles obviously.

Like Sarah, she's from Western Australia.

It's a fair, fair drive.

Like it'd be a good three days or something, so.

And yeah, I just kind of had to go with what I felt was right

and which relationship I saw working out.

You chose Sarah in the end... Mmm.

..and you told her that you loved her.

Like, knowing there was no one else involved now

that I could just kind of say how I was feeling

and it was a very special moment.

You are the person that I do want a relationship.

When Sarah came back to the farm, I did have a desk set up for her

'cause she's going to get a new job

and wants to be able to work from home.

but you came here with the intention of finding love.

So, you had three pretty strong connections.

Tell us about your relationship with Caitlin.

You know, from... from day one, it just flowed.

Three, two, one.

A lot of similar interests.

Oh, I actually do have a fish.

Do you actually?

It was seamless and easy

and we could have a good laugh and all of that.

So, just... yeah, she was wonderful and all the qualities that I like

and... and want in a... in a future partner.

Yeah, yeah. OK.

And there's someone else

who always made her intentions known, Karli.

Yeah, Karli, she always made it known where we were at

and, we just needed some time

to, you know, break down those walls.

OK, so you're happy? Very happy.

Very, very caring personality.

She's... she's, you know, very driven

and she's not afraid to go after it.

All qualities again that I... that I loved in her.

Brooke was one of Mum's choices.

So, she'd come in a little bit later.

Brooke is such a beautiful, caring soul.

Like, she's, yeah, wonderful.

You met some wonderful women,

but ultimately, you realised that

your commitment to the farm came first.

Tell me how you came to the decision to end your journey.

Yeah, at that point in my life,

yeah, I sort of had to take a step back

and... and look at myself in the mirror

and the farm was going to take priority

at that point for me.

So, yeah, unfortunately,

that's sometimes the... the cards you're dealt

and that's what you've got to do.

So, you knew your commitment wasn't there.

Yeah. Yeah.

Come on Brooke, get excited.

The ladies on my farm were wonderful,

would never have anything bad to say about them.

But towards the end there, any minute the camera's not rolling,

I was straight back in the tractor.

Working and, you know, sleeping very minimal amounts of time

will... will take its toll eventually.

It doesn't matter who you are, so, it took a little bit to realise

and some advice from some family and friends for me

to, you know, pull my head in

and sort of realise, yeah, you gotta...

You gotta take a step back from one or the other.

Another one of the key factors for my choice was that,

you know, I was about to,

you know, potentially go and meet these wonderful ladies' parents.

And I don't think that, you know, as a man,

that I could have stood there in front of, you know,

anyone's father and shook his hand and said, "You know, 'I'm that guy.

"I'm the man that's ready to give my all to your daughters."

Well, I think that's quite an honourable thing to do.

Yeah.

How hard was it saying goodbye?

It was a pretty brutal night.

One of the hardest of my life for sure.

I don't think that,

you know, I can really keep going in this experience.

You know, you deserve somebody that is ready

to really give you everything, because that is what you deserve.

At this point, the experience is going to end for us.

How are you going now?

Who knows what the future holds, you know?

My heart's open and, you know, I do believe that, you know...

you know, anything can happen, so...

Well, actually, had to get some tackle

Maybe, but I met some wonderful people

and I made a bunch of mates for life.

Why was now the right time for you?

So, I'd previously been in a... in a long relationship,

it was about six years.

So, I threw myself into work and wasn't really worried about,

sort of, yeah, the dating scene for a while

and, I wasn't actually the one who put my name in for this.

That was courtesy of my mother.

Normally, it's mates. See, mothers know all.

Yeah, Mum didn't actually tell me she was doing it.

She goes, "Oh, I may have done a thing."

And I was like, "Well, what have you done?"

Your clever mother. Oh, isn't she just?

So, you invited Daisy back to the farm

for the first 24-hour date.

I was like, well, I really want to get to know

this lady a lot better,

and took her to a spot that's pretty special to me.

I'd never taken anyone there before.

If I was to get married on here, this is it.

This is the outlook.

I could get married here.

Felt a connection there,

and I just thought I'd go for a bit of a kiss.

Yeah. So, romantic!

I didn't know I had it in me. My goodness.

Try a sneaky kiss and see what happens.

But then your mates came in and threw a spanner in the works.

We're all a little bit concerned in regards to Daisy.

We see some similarities there to your previous relationships

and those relationships haven't worked out.

Yeah, it did take a fair while to get over...

over my last partner

and yeah, they all saw how hard it was for me to,

yeah, to sort of come through that

and it came from a good spot on their behalf.

So, on the other hand, your mates liked Grace.

Yes. And they put you on that path.

I thought, well, it probably is in my best interest

to try something that's not in my normal behaviour.

And I actually got to see Grace open up

and she was cheeky and fun and yeah,

that was a look behind the door of Grace.

I was definitely sort of, yeah, falling for her too.

So, it was...

I guess it was, reassuring that,

yeah, she was, I guess, throwing it all in there

and yeah, she did have the feelings.

Between Grace and Daisy, you had two very different futures.

The more time I spent with both ladies,

it was the more I grew to like 'em both,

and I could see futures with both of them.

So, in the end I just, I guess I had to, follow,

Finally, yes, choosing Daisy was a big relief.

We made the big trek up to Townsville.

Yeah, 16-hour drive from home.

Well, a couple of them, because they had to come back too.

Once I was back here after final decision,

it made sense that this is where I wanted to be

and this is where I needed to be and this is where my future is.

and jumped in the car and drove back to the farm.

and then be in a relationship over messages and phone calls.

We're going to have to go out some nice places

And you just like, we'd been sort of,

yeah, joined at the hip for so long,

and I'd put down my roots there.

So, it was a huge decision, but a good decision.

with that we didn't want to do long distance.

I was able to secure employment near the farm, at the gym.

We're just like any other couple.

We both go to work, we come home,

and then we get to spend this time together.

It's easy, it's nice.

Probably the toilet seat's the worst one.

Hasn't changed for thousands of years,

We're both very strong personalities.

Yes, who wins the arguments?

Definitely me. Yeah, every time.

Nah, I just... He thinks he wins.

We all know that's not true.

I think, you know, we... we have such a good friendship as well

as, you know, so much love in our relationship.

So, even though we do butt heads sometimes over certain things,

I think we spend a bit of time apart

and then we're kind of like, alright, yeah...

She comes around to my way, I think.

And I hear there's some modifications

going on to the farmhouse.

Definitely needs to be. Yeah, I have a lot of clothes.

So, Todd, at your final decision,

you told Daisy you were falling in love with her.

It only took me another couple of days

to probably say it.

I said very early on in the experience

that I was going to marry this man

and I'm here to keep my promise.
