Original subtitles

These people won't learn until Nagpur's as congested as Mumbai.

If the Law remains stuck on the streets then how will it protect?

The Law has long arms, sir.

I wish we had long legs too...

Then getting out of this traffic would've been easier.

Now stretch your legs as far as you like.

Step on it.

We've got only 10 minutes until the hearing.

Yes Sir.

Here we are, sir. The Second home for the Police.

Protect and serve, sir.

Wait here. We'll only get another date today, not the judgement.

Okay, sir. - Go Park it.

[sound of a group of women screaming]

Give this to the driver below. - Yes, sir.

Careful, sir. The place is covered in chilly powder.

Who...

Who was he?

It is still not clear, who Balli Chowdhary was.

But it is evident that this is a failure of the system.

When suddenly a crowd of women emerged out of nowhere...

And vanished into thin air.

Although the Police haven't verified yet...

As you can see, the Police has sealed the entire court premises.

We'll keep an eye out for any further developments.

Stay tuned for more updates.

According to the sources...

The Commissioner has arrived, and let's find out his opinion.

Sir, sir...

Sir, please... - Ma'am, please.

No comments... No comments...

Did you see anyone?

Yes Sir.

There were at least an army of 200 women.

I meant did you see any faces?

All of their faces were covered... each one of them.

They scattered red chilly powder as soon as they arrived.

I tried to save him.

But they attacked me as well.

Weapons?

The usual household stuff.

Fork, knife, sticks, hammers, etcetera.

Did you recover anything?

No Sir.

He has been brutally murdered, Sir.

Yes Sir.

They even chopped off his genitals.

According to the sources...

Today when Balli Chaudhary was brought to the court for a hearing

100-200 women suddenly stormed the premises and attacked him.

We've no further updates.

The Police has sealed the entire area.

Sir, we're finding body parts from different corners of the court.

And there's an ear still missing.

Found it, sir.

Deshpande... - Sir.

What were you doing here?

I was here for another hearing, sir.

Such a brutal murder in Police custody.

The entire Police force's efficiency will now be challenged.

What were the charges against him?

A couple of rape and molestation cases.

Nothing serious, just time-pass.

It is common for these people...

These Rahi Nagar people of course.

It's a Dalit settlement.

Wasn't he from an upper caste?

Yes Sir.

This issue can turn ugly, real soon...

Elections are around the corner.

If this turns into a caste-based issue

then the entire city's law and order situation will be shaken.

Deshpande, you take the charge. - Ok Sir.

If he says they were from Rahi Nagar

then I want to see arrests before sunset.

And a charge-sheet filed within two days.

Okay, sir. I'll try my best.

Trying is not an option. I want results.

And for God's sake, it shoudln't go out of hand.

Yes Sir.

Find evidence at any cost.

You said there were 200 women. Right?

Yes Sir.

There must be at least one single fingerprint.

Get on the job now...

Wasn't he one of that Minister's goon?

Sir, you're not from Nagpur. Right?

He was a pathetic scoundrel that Balli Chaudhary.

And these women of Rahi Nagar aren't saints either.

They turned up in a crowd and chopped him up his parts off.

Now, how many arrests can we make?

What a waste?

So many women and altogether.

This cannot be done without planning, Patil.

Someone's planned everything.

Trained them.

We have to find that man.

Or woman!

Yes Sir.

"Respected Sir, I hope this letter finds you in the best of spirits...."

"Due to certain inexplicable situations back at home."

"I hereby request you to allow me to extend my leave, by two more weeks"

"Your kind support and approval shall be highly appreciated"

"Thanking you, Asha Surve"

What's done is done.

Evil pays for evil ways.

I don't think this is the end.

Asha, there's still time.

Go back.

Things were looking up now...

Mom....

What mom? Why did you come back?

And anyway, there's nothing you can do in this damned place.

Kill one demon and another one will spring up in his place.

Mom, stop being afraid.

This fear is causing everything.

Running away isn't the solution.

And when I haven't done anything wrong then why should I leave.

You don't worry, nothing will happen to me.

And just watch, the Police will have to hear us now.

Okay, fine. I got your point.

And what did you say back there?

What?

Hema was so upset.

Not everyone is interested

in knowing about your legal articles and sections.

Oh dear...

It was just a casual joke.

Iyer was saying that he's struggling with depression.

And I said if you want to attempt suicide...

You better be successful...

Because if in case you survive...

Then you will be charged under Section 309.

You and your Legal jokes.

You're a retired man, now.

Why can't you stop passing judgements?

Why can't you do or say something normal?

What is the definition of normal?

By normal, I meant gardening, painting, etcetera.

Why don't you take up gardening?

You mean now that I'm retired I should look after the garden.

Yes. What's your problem?

There is no problem.

What will be my salary?

You think I am joking.

Ah hah, you want to make me work without a salary.

In that case...

You can be directly charged under Contract Labour Act, Section 21.

You'll never go out of practise!

Mic check... 1, 2, 3...

Raise the volume.

Residents of Rahi Nagar.

This is your first and last warning.

If you people haven't done anything

then you've nothing to fear.

'Only the women...'

Grandma, no.

'All the women assemble here at the square.' - They are at the gates now.

If we don't stop them now they will barge in our homes.

If all the women don't come out here in 5 minutes... - Don't go, grandma.

I am telling you, grandma, don't go.

I've to go... - Otherwise, then we'll have to use force.

Are you all listening or not?!

Not a single male will come out.

Rane make them stand on one side. - Come on, leave the child.

This way... Hey you, are you a woman?

Stay back.

Come on, hurry up. Everyone get in a line.

Bravo.

Is everyone here?

Or are their more hiding inside?

More, hold it.

Hold this too.

I am blessed to see your faces.

I thought you'll come with your faces covered as you did in the morning.

What do you do at night

that you need to hide your faces in shame in the morning?

Free-spirited at night

and casual and cultured in the morning.

Shameless, trying to be innocent.

Listen, sooner or later the Police will find out...

Who among you were there.

But if you surrender now, you'll face the least punishment.

All those among you who didn't go to the court in the morning...

Will move in that direction.

Come on, hurry up.

Wait, I'll teach you all a lesson.

Don't you understand when I am asking politely?

Who is it?

Who is your leader?

Hey, you pregnant one!

You!

Tell me. Come on.

Who sent all of you to the court?

Who sent you? Give me a name.

Sir, please...

Stay there, you fool... Stay there.

I'll teach you a lesson.

I will throw you in jail.

Santosh, look after Raju. Stay with Raju.

Stay back. You look after Raju, we'll look after her.

Take her in.

No, no...

Come on, let's go. - Santosh, look after Raju.

Wait, Asha, don't go out there.

Mom, the Police are here. I want to see what they are going to do.

Why don't you ever listen to me?

Asha...

Hey, you oldie!

How about you oldie?

You too, get in the van.

What did I do? - How can you forget?

You filed the first complaint against Balli.

How can you forget what he did?

No wonder you got your revenge by killing him today.

Queen Mother, please get in the van.

Come on. Get her in the van.

No, grandma. - Come on.

Gently, gently.

Let her go.

Where are you going? - I will go with them.

Asha, you must stay out here.

We don't know what else will happen in future.

Rane. - Sir!

And her.

Go...

I haven't done anything. - Come on.

Leave her...

So much bonding between the three of you.

Take these two in as well.

You go with them as well. Come on.

How many in total? Five.

If they arrest you, then who will save them?

[Vijay Nagar Police station]

Who are you guys? What do you want?

Who is the officer on duty?

He is busy. Tell me.

We're from Rahi Nagar.

Relatives of the women you arrested.

We want to talk to the Inspector.

You cannot meet him right now.

Leave. Come on, leave now.

Leave?

Sir, you cannot arrest someone like this.

Those women are innocent.

And you don't have a warrant.

Why you... do you still want a warrant?

You cannot detain anyone without evidence!

Evidence you say!

Come, I'll throw you in jail without evidence. Come on.

Rohini, wait. I'll talk to her.

Go home, dear.

Otherwise, you will go straight to jail.

You know what happened this morning.

A man was publicly lynched.

This isn't some petty theft case.

We're doing our routine inquiry.

We'll question all the women and send them back home.

Understood. Now go home.

Everyone leave and take her with you.

Come on.

[Vijay Nagar Police station]

Who was it? Who else was with you?

Who sent you? Who sent you to kill him?

Why you...

Speak up!

Who sent you? Who sent you? Hold her! Hold her!

Give me the stick.

Speak up! Who else was with you?

Come on, who sent you there.

Who is your leader?

Speak up!

Come on, I want answers.

Who is your leader? Speak up!

The sooner you tell me, the sooner this pain will end.

Rane. - Yes sir.

Leave her, bring the next one.

Yes sir!

Get out, drama queen! Get out!

Wait a minute.

Well...

At least Balli's last wish was fulfilled.

Bring the next one.

Come on!

Come on!

Your turn, come on!

Come on!

Confess that you did all this.

87% rape cases are reported in India daily.

Yet the conviction rates are negligible.

W.R.C. is a quasi-judicial entity...

That's created to give such victims a fair chance.

That's really amazing...

But how do you do that.

Well, our very function is to examine and investigate

Matter's related to safeguards for women... - Sorry ma'am.

It's Deshmukh sir. He says it's urgent.

Sorry, one minute...

Hello, Deskhmukh sir.

'Ms. Purnima, I think your political ticket is confirmed.'

Excuse me!

Is this confirmed news, Deshmukh sir?

Ms. Purnima, it's time to stir up the politics in Nagpur.

Lets see what you make of it.

Understood, Deshmukh sir.

I'll look into it. - Okay.

Megha, the Police have arrested those ladies...

They'll be filing the chargesheet soon...

And the case will go to court.

What do we do?

We must form a fact-finding committee.

Get me a list of our Nagpur associates

And book me on the first flight to Nagpur. - Yes ma'am.

But, ma'am, who will head the committee?

Wait and watch, Narayan.

Someday this plant will blossom into a tree and give shade to everyone.

Your phone's ringing.

Okay!

Did you misplace it again?

Hello.

'Our voices must be heard!' - [Dalits are against casteism]

We won't stand Police brutality!

Our voices must be heard!

We won't stand Police brutality!

Our voices must be heard!

We're outside Vijay Nagar Police Station.

After the Balli Chaudhary murder incident

the Police arrested five women from Rahi Nagar.

We won't stand Police brutality!

'The residents of Rahi Nagar claim that the five women are innocent.'

and the Police arrested them forcefully.

What's going on here? - Sir...

We're investigating, sir.

What else will you expect in a Police Station?

Nadkarni sir said that the media shouldn't get a whiff of this.

And you've managed to get an entire circus out here.

Sir had also asked to file a charge-sheet in two days.

Sir... don't worry about the media.

If someone even screams in here...

They start howling outside.

"Nation wants to know... Public wants to know", all these...

When they get a lead on another case...

They will quickly leave this and chase that

Our voices must be heard!

We won't stand Police brutality!

Our voices must be heard!

We won't stand Police brutality!

Our voices must be heard!

We won't stand Police brutality!

We won't stand Police brutality!

Don't worry, I am here now.

Together we'll raise our voice against this Police brutality.

And look, Lokhande is always on your side

till his last breath.

Come. - Our voices must be heard!

Long live... - Vishwas Lokhande!

Who is on duty? Who is on duty here?

Lokhande sir, what's the issue?

What's the problem?

My people are standing out there under the scorching sun.

What solution does the Police have? Do you have any solution at all?

So they are your people? - Yes.

We were looking for their leader.

It's a good thing you showed up on your own.

Patil... - Sir...

Get a warrant issued

for leaders of the murder suspects.

Lokhande, isn't it?

What's your full name?

Shashikant Babasaheb Lokhande.

What is all this? What is the meaning of all this?

You just claimed they are your people!

You are their leader!

I did, but...

I'm not their direct leader.

Then make up your mind, sir...

Are you their leader or not?

On whose name is the 26th September file?

All this belongs to uncle.

Asha...

A lawyer is here.

He will help us with the bail.

Who?

Asha?

You two know each other?

Yes.

I was her English tutor.

How are you, sir?

Sir?

So as I was saying, sir...

This case is urgent and important.

Ms. Purnima, this is a highly sensitive case...

For the entire Law and Order system.

We're a population of 1.24 billion people.

If justice is done through mob lynching's...

Then the entire judicial system will be threatened.

I agree Sir.

And this is why the fact-finding committee...

Will help us in bringing reality to light.

These women can get justice...

Facts are never anybody's friends

And... Justice...

Justice is not some Diwali sweet...

Which you can distribute at free will.

Why do you want me to head this committee?

Sir, your...

You know, your legal experience, expertise

can save this case from the Police's one-sided narrative.

These women are very underprivileged.

We want to give them a fair trial.

and frankly speaking...

Our system cannot ignore your stuature.

My stature?

Yes...

As a... As a celebrated retired judge.

You mean to say retired Dalit judge.

I am sorry Sir...

I had no such intentions...

I am really really sorry...

Its implied, Ms. Purnima...

Never spelt out.

Anyway...

Who all are there in your committee?

Anwar Sheikh.

Young and upcoming lawyer at Session's Court.

Specialist in minority cases.

Abhinav Avsare.

Professor of Mathematics at the University of Nagpur.

Devotes most of his time to social causes.

And Purva Sahani, Senior reporter.

According to her, on-field investigative journalism

is real journalism.

By sitting in air-conditioned offices

one can only write fake news.

What is all this for?

I thought I should prepare myself before sir arrives.

Hi, I am Purva.

Professor Avsar.

Who doesn't know you?

Even a child would get scared if he hears your voice.

You might prove him guilty.

Advocate Anwar.

Yes, wrongdoers and their supporters are often scared of me.

I think we should only discuss things related to this case.

It's pretty clear.

It's open and shut case of police failure.

I've been following the case right from the beginning.

Some of my friends were present in the court that day.

They saw a massive crowd of women running out!

We cannot ignore this fact.

You must have read the report.

Sir, you're already here? I thought you're yet to arrive.

Sir.. soryy Your Honour, it's an honour to meet you.

I've closely studied your case on environmental violations.

Sir, it was such a landmark judgement, Sir I...

Before we begin, there's something I want to say.

Objects covered in dust

are normally taken outside the house and dusted.

There's often dust accumulated on our eyes and mind.

So, I want all of you to leave every prejudice...

And previous assumptions connected to this case...

To be please left outside this room.

I agree with you Sir... but...

The Police don't have a single witness.

Not even forensic evidence.

First, they couldn't stop the murder of a criminal in their custody...

And now without any evidence, they have randomly arrested five women.

They are being treated inhumanly in the lockup.

Putting basic human rights at stake.

How do you know that the Police doesn't have any witness or evidence?

Under Criminal Procedure Code Chapter 5...

The Police can carry out multiple arrests and without any warrant.

I'm sure you're aware of that.

Yes sir.

And mind you, no one died in Police custody.

In fact, it was a cold-blooded murder.

That too in the middle of the court.

This case isn't about Police failure alone.

It's a harsh blow on the face of our entire legal system.

Coming back to this group.

This is a fact finding committee.

We haven't gathered here to pass judgement...

Based on caste, community, religion or gender.

Our job is only to find facts.

To honestly report the incident that happened that day...

And expose the culprit before the system...

That is the only job assigned to us.

I hope the role of this committee is clear now.

Yes, sir.

Shall we begin?

'I am heading for a meeting.'

No one will disturb me till 1 o'clock. Okay.

Hi, Deshpande. How are you? - I'm good, sir.

Sir.

Are the WRC getting involved?

Yes, sir, they have initiated a fact-finding committee.

Whole bloody committee.

Who is heading it?

Justice Dangle, sir.

Vitthal Dangle?

Yes Sir.

What happened, sir?

He could be a serious problem...

We must handle our relation with him very delicately.

By the way, where did they find him?

He recently settled down in Nagpur after retirement.

But sir, I know him personally.

He will never be over-sympathetic with the suspects.

In fact, he believes in the sanctity of the court, so...

Deshpande, the Law books talk about a system.

But there's another system on the outside to run this system.

People like Dangle only believe in the Law's system.

So, they are always a threat to the system outside.

Listen...

Yes sir.

Before the committee tables their report

I want the conviction done and case closed..

You understand. - Yes sir.

This... - Three more of these.

Some tea, son?

Yes, one with and one without sugar.

Okay.

"The eyes are trying to express the unsaid..."

"Hear it."

"My heart's ready to jump out, have no words to express."

"Hear it."

"The things I want to tell you"

"Even my heart's full."

"But don't know how to say."

Do you need any other documents?

Nothing except for Tara Bai's age proof...

And Kalyani's medical report. That's all we'll need.

Okay. Then see you tomorrow morning. - Okay.

You have come this far, have a cup of tea?

Maybe some other time.

Asha...

Give me a minute.

You never even called me.

And left without any notice.

I got through Hotel Management course in Mohali.

Was there someone else in your life?

You didn't like me?

Then?

Umesh, this is not possible between us.

Why? - What do you mean why?

Would your Brahmin family accept a Dalit daughter-in-law?

I loved you, Asha.

That's all I needed.

You can sympathise with me, Umesh.

But can never truly understand what it means to be Dalit.

A society where you're constantly reminded that you're different...

A Dalit!

Asha, I don't live with my parents anymore.

I practice Law.

I help those who can't pay their legal fee...

Or when no one else comes forward to help them.

To bring a change in the society, one must change themselves first.

"It's the fault of the eyes, which the heart had to endure."

"Please try to understand."

"There are so many wishes, that remain unfulfilled."

"What are these restrictions, how do I say?"

"But I don't know how do I say it."

Good morning, Sir.

Oh Sameer!

Salute the post, not the man.

And I am retired now.

Sir, this salute is for you and not your post.

It's the respect I have for you and always will.

Thank you.

Well... these are my colleagues in FFC.

Ms. Sahani, Mr. Avsare, and Advocate Sheikh.

Shall we?

Yes Sir.

Please...

Please come in...

There's a total of 73 wounds on his body.

Several injuries are so deep that his bones cracked.

There are cuts of every possible type.

Like incisions, punctures, amputation.

Both the ears, seven fingers and...

Genitals... are chopped off.

Pieces of flesh were hacked off from multiple areas.

Sir, I've never seen a murder like this.

This is not murder.

It's called an execution.

He's been given capital punishment.

The question is, why?

One requires sharp and precise blades to chop off body parts.

They came prepared.

And they knew where to attack.

They must have possessed something more dangerous to kill him like this.

A purpose or a definite motive.

Sir, look here.

Sorry Sir.

The blood report seems missing from here.

Sir, I... actually...

Just tell me the truth.

There were traces of alcohol in the blood.

Interesting...

Don't worry ACP...

Any information can only be used as evidence...

When there is a witness.

Unfortunately, my colleagues aren't here.

So, in front of the court...

It's just my word against your...

A police officer on duty...

A Government doctor versus a retired judge.

In such a condition, even I wouldn't rule the judgement in my favour.

Thank you so much.

Who is he?

Trouble!

Speak up! Tell me why you killed Balli.

Why did you kill him?

What did you think?

Did you think you can escape after murdering him?

Why did you kill him? Speak up! Speak up !

This torture won't stop until you don't speak up.

Tell me...

Why did you kill him? Why did you kill Balli?

Speak up! Open your mouth...

You oldie!

Why did you kill him?

I'll torture you so much that I'll break your jaw.

Speak up! Tell me why you killed Balli.

Speak up!

Tell me why you killed Balli?

Speak up! Speak up!

[Indistinct chatter]

Good morning Sir.

Good morning.

Sir, we've found out that Balli Chaudhary...

Used to run a warehouse near Rahi Nagar.

And also heard that rich businessmen and politicians used his warehouse...

To store import-export items.

Import-Export - Yes Sir.

And see this...

He was charged with molestation 10-years-ago.

After that, there was nothing for the next 10 years.

If you look at his family's statement...

According to them, he was an ordinary, family man.

And what about these 40 FIRs?

They were all filed in a single day.

All of a sudden.

And the fun part is...

Elections were to be announced a week later.

How is all that connected with this case?

Yes there is...

All the FIRs were...

In the category of crime against women.

Rape, murder, molestation - Correct Sir.

The Police had no choice.

They had to arrest him.

I think whoever planned this operation...

This wasn't some operation, Mr. Sheikh!

It's a reality of the madness happening in Rahi Nagar!

The everyday reality of those women.

Sir, what is this attitude, I object...

I want an apology.

How can she talk to me like this?

Mr. Sheikh, this isn't the court, please...

Sorry, Your Honour.

Sir, what is your opinion?

Nothing for 10 years and then filing 40 FIRs in one day?

Either all the women are lying, or...

Or what, sir?

Or for the past 10 years Law and Order is being mocked.

Sir, how can these women lie?

Because they are women?!

Sir, an ordinary woman has to go through several struggles...

Every day to live her life with dignity.

And these women... - They are not even ordinary, right?

Right Sir.

The privileged are on top of the chain...

Then come the ordinary ones.

Then the millions of people under the poverty line...

And after them, Dalits come.

And the Dalit women come much below them.

From that deep a place, the voices can take 10 years to surface.

Being a Dalit cannot be the evidence of someone's morality, Purva.

According to the Police, they are guilty...

And according to you, they are innocent.

The truth lies somewhere in between.

Thankfully, Law accepts only evidence.

You two go down to Rahi Nagar and start inquiring.

Yes.

Find out whatever facts you can and put them on record.

To solve this mystery...

We must solve and understand every aspect of this case.

Umesh, what happened?

Custody has been extended for 15 days.

Where are they?

Come on, hurry up.

Come on...

Come on, hurry up.

You haven't left yet.

Leave now and take your mother along too.

Those who can get out of here are lucky.

If you progress...

You can take care of my Mili too.

As long as you and the remaining women don't get acquitted

I won't go anywhere.

Come on.

Let's go, Let's go. Out of the way.

Take care, Santosh. - Come on.

Something's not right.

I think they have already made plans to convict the women.

Meera called yesterday.

She wants to visit India...

Before her next semester starts.

She was saying that she wants to explore Nagpur with her father.

Explore Nagpur!

Ask her if she's forgotten...

How to pronounce 'Daangle' properly after she moved to America.

You're unbelievable.

Yes, Ms. Purnima.

Sir, did you watch the news?

I was just watching that.

Isn't the case being really fast-tracked?

It's their strategy, sir.

They just want to convict innocent women and close the case.

Let's not jump to hasty conclusions...

Our committee is building a report. And soon we'll submit.

I... I only hope...

Only hope, we are not too late.

Excuse me...

Professor, any leads?

No one's ready to speak.

This is a problem.

I think they have decided not to talk to anyone about this case.

Another cup of tea.

What will we report to Dangle sir now?

Here's a question, tell me Anwar, just asking casually

Will this FFC report make any difference?

Why?

I mean, this unfair treatment of Dalits...

Has been happening for thousands of years.

Will these little reports help cure the social evil?

Why suddenly...

I've been a member of several committees.

Submitted numerous reports and also seen what happens to them.

That's why I've my doubts.

Maybe.

But to avoid this from happening...

We must catch their leader.

Hello, sir. - Hello.

She is Asha. She lives in Rahi Nagar.

I have convinced her to speak to you.

Sir, the Police has forcefully arrested our women.

They don't allow us to meet them either.

Maybe they plan on convicting them in court.

Look, I can understand your problem...

But the court never passes judgement based on any plans.

Sir, no one's supporting us.

Please help us.

You're from a Dalit family yourself...

Look, please don't say such things here!

We're investigating a brutal crime.

We will never make a report here based on any caste.

Speak.

But you're a Dalit... - I am repeating myself,

I don't want to hear anything about your caste or mine.

If you can tell us anything about the murder, then please do so.

Asha, Balli Chaudhary had attacked you.

Please tell Sir, everything in detail.

Why shouldn't I talk about my caste, sir?

I am from a Dalit family.

All the women in the settlement are from Dalit families.

You talk about the court?

Even the shopkeeper doesn't allow us in his shop...

Until his other customers haven't left!

When we go to the Police they abuse us and physically throw us out!

Asha...

When we're constantly reminded of our stature...

Then why won't we raise our caste as an issue.

And being a Dalit yourself...

While imparting justice I don't believe in any caste or religion.

That's not all.

The constitution of my country is my religion.

And I remember every word written in the constitution.

It sounds beautiful when upper-class people say this.

People even clap for them.

But if a helpless, poor Dalit from Rahi Nagar says this...

Then people will only laugh at him.

I get it. You can't help us.

If I may say, Sir...

Memorizing our constitution isn't enough.

It's application is more important.

Please start the proceedings.

Your honour, a few days ago, right here in this courtroom...

A dreadful incident occurred...

Which was unheard of and unimagined by this country.

A suspect under trial is brought to this courtroom for a hearing.

The court hasn't pronounced him guilty yet.

He was innocent, until proven guilty

But your honour, he could never see the hearing.

Before the court proceedings could begin...

A crowd of 200 women suddenly stormed the courtroom.

They surrounded the criminal...

And within a few minutes took away his life.

That's not all.

Under a planned conspiracy they chopped parts of his body into parts.

His severed thumb...

Was found in this corner after a week.

Maybe several parts of his body...

Are still lying in some corner of this courtroom.

To know this entire incident in detail

I would like to call upon senior Inspector Suresh Patil.

SI Patil.

He witnessed the entire incident personally.

That's not all when he tried to interfere

the crowd of women brutally assaulted him.

SI Patil, please tell the court what happened that day from the beginning.

That day when we entered the court...

We found it unusually crowded.

'Hey Patil, is the government hosting a carnival in the court?'

'You'll surely get to swing...from the noose.'

That day our case was first on the list.

So the entire place... was completely empty.

'Hey... wise guy... - Come on, Patil sir.'

'Sit here. - At least get me a cup of tea.'

'Look at him. - I am an official member now.'

Official member...

My finger... My hand...

Your honour, the barbaric reason for which this murder was committed...

Any punishment given by this case will never be adequate.

WRC has formed an independent fact-finding committee for this case.

Although this committee hasn't submitted any report yet.

Yet I want to invite...

Prof. Abhinav Avsare a member of this committee...

Hoping that he can shed some light on this case.

Objection!

This is an extra-judicial inquiry.

And... their findings and reports are not admissible in this court.

W.R.C Women's Rights Commission.

It's a respected Quasi-judicial body...

And not some private company as my learned friend is trying to imply...

In fact Your Honour...

His objection clearly shows their criminal nature and fear.

Objection overruled.

Professor Avsare, does your committee know...

That Balli Chaudhary was murdered in this court?

Yes...

Did you pay a visit...

To Rahi Nagar during your independent investigation?

Did the residents tell you anything?

We tried...

Sorry, what do you mean you tried?

I mean we did go there, tried talking to the people.

So then may I ask you that...

What did they tell you?

About Balli Chaudhary...

Leave aside Balli Chaudhary, what did the residents tell you?

Nothing. - Nothing?

I mean they didn't cooperate with us.

We tried reasoning with them but they didn't tell us anything.

They are quiet because they are scared.

Exactly. Exactly, that's my point!

Who are scared?

Only wrongdoers are scared.

They are scared because they are poor. They are powerless.

Their women were forcefully arrested from their homes!

They were tortured in jail.

Now they are playing this charade to convict them.

Control your emotions, Advocate Joshi.

I apologise, your honour.

I know what happened is completely wrong. It's against our constitution.

A hard blow to the face of our Police efficiency.

But how is all this related to my five clients?

My famous opponent said there were more than 200 women here.

On what basis are they arrested?

I want to question Inspector Suresh Patil.

Can you tell the court on what evidence...

Did you arrest these five women?

Sir, you?

I am sorry to disturb you Your Honour...

Please take a seat.

Thank you.

What evidence do you have that these five women...

Were a part of those 200 women?

I saw them myself.

It was these five women that day. They attacked me as well.

I saw them with my own eyes.

And not just me, your honour.

We had another under trial in our custody that day...

Raju Gupte.

Even he tried to save Balli Chaudhary.

He saw them too.

[Indistinct chatter]

Order! Order!

In the light of evidence and testimonies...

The court believes that the five accused...

Tarabai Kamble, Kalyani, Pratibha...

Jyoti and Sangeeta are found guilty.

And the accused, under IPC section 302...

And CPC section 354 sub-section 3, are sentenced to life.

[Witnesses turn the case around]

Don't be so disappointed.

This was not a legal proceeding.

You tried.

It wasn't your fault if they didn't support you.

The judgement came as expected.

Come and let's eat.

Get some rest.

A celebrated Dalit Judge.

This tag always bothered me.

I thought by saying this...

My achievements are being demeaned, compared to others.

Maybe that's why...

Perhaps...

I tried to go beyond the whole caste debate.

Stop it now.

In my efforts to become a successful professional from a successful Dalit

I left too much behind.

I forgot that Dalits have no homeland...

"I have no homeland."

These were your words to Gandhiji.

One of those five women resembled my mother.

Rukmini...

There are loopholes in Law...

Yet it has a purpose.

To give everyone a chance to present their case with fairness.

Even if the FFC report wasn't legal evidence...

It still could've given these five women an...

An opportunity.

For the first time, I feel that

The Law has failed them.

I've failed them.

We heard what you did.

You even cut off his genitals.

You did the right thing.

You're a Dalit, aren't you?

Don't be scared.

This jail is better than the world outside.

There are no Dalits or Brahmins here.

I've received a letter from my office today.

Stating that I must rejoin the office in two days.

Otherwise, they will terminate me.

So what have you decided?

I don't know. It's a different world out there, Umesh.

I am not the same Asha in that world.

You should go.

You've an opportunity to change your life.

And what about the women from my settlement?

How can we leave them to rot in jail?

I've started the process to appeal in the high court.

Also had a word with a senior lawyer.

We'll need some money but I'll manage.

You have the right to lead a better life.

I called them and said no.

It's all good out there, Umesh, but it's not the reality.

I want to make my reality better.

I won't leave anyone again.

You, come.

Why?

Visitor.

Visitor?

'Okay, fine.'

'Look, someone's here to see you.'

Tara Bai, we're from WRC.

We want to hear your story.

We're making a report on your case.

Report? - Yes.

But we've already been convicted. Sentenced to life imprisonment.

Yes, but...

What is this report for?

Kamble madam...

We want to know why Balli Chaudhary was murdered that day.

You bathe with scented soap.

Wear clean clothes.

Roam around in big cars.

You won't understand.

Mili sent this for you.

She said I should tell you that she scored 92%.

These are sweets from Durga Seth.

She said they are your favourite.

'Have a sweet. But don't tell your mother.'

'My daughter Ritu came to stay with us'

'for a couple of days after 8-years.'

'We were all very happy.'

'Mili had never stayed for so long.'

'Kamble... - Yes.'

'Ritu! - What's wrong with Ritu?'

'She's gone to the Police Station. - Police Station?'

'But she was supposed to go to the market.'

'But Balli stopped her and she slapped him back.'

'Good Lord. When did this happen?'

'I don't know, maybe some half an hour back.'

'Where is she now? - I don't know.'

'Take Mili home.'

'I will go and see... - I want to go see my mother. '

'No, no, go home.'

'I'll check on her. - Yes. '

'Sister. Sister.'

I'm coming now...

Move.

Stop! Stop!

'Mother!'

'Ritu!'

'Get inside the house!'

Where are you running?

'Balli, let me go!'

'No...'

'Balli, let me go!'

'You...'

'She won't go to the Police! Let her go!'

'Now watch!'

'Balli!'

'Leave her.'

'Mother!'

'Mother!'

Whoever wants to go to the Police now...

Balli... no.

'Feel free to go to the Police Station.'

'I won't stop you. I swear I won't stop you.'

'Will you go, woman, like she did?'

'Will you go oldie?'

'You'll need a decade to get there.'

'He raped Ritu because she went to the Police.'

'Then he brutally murdered her.'

Mili's father never showed up after that.

She stayed with me.

How much did she score you said?

92%

She is a bright child.

Just like her mother.

I want to meet everyone who filed an FIR.

They will never come to us, sir...

Then we'll go to them.

Fine.

'What kind of leader do you want?' - Like, brother Vishwas.

We'll spread brotherhood.' - And no more caste.

'We'll spread brotherhood.' - And no more caste.

Sir... I spoke to you about the Balli Chaudhary case.

Yes. - The application has been submitted.

But we want to get it fast-tracked.

I've spoken to a senior lawyer.

Why do you need a senior lawyer? You're there.

Yes, sir. But we're speaking about the high court.

The lives of these women are at stake. We can't take a risk.

Are you even a lawyer or pretending to be one?

The case has been completely suppressed...

We want to raise our voice again.

We want to tell every detail of the case to the media.

Sir, we want to get justice for those women.

We'll need your help, sir.

Sir...

The women have my full support.

But what about justice? How will they get justice?

Justice cannot be demanded.

It's only attained when one is in power.

Since the elections are upon us. I'll have to be wary about what I say.

What do you lawyers call it in English?

Careful.

Yes careful.

I'll have to be careful.

And you see... we have a chance only when I'm in power.

We're trying to negotiate about who gets to rule.

And who knows while asking for justice

I might lose my seat to rule. Right?

But what about the women? Will they stay in jail?

They are safe in jail.

Balli Chaudhary is dead. You've nothing to fear.

But, sir... - Look...

Don't make wrong demands at the wrong time.

I'll have to eat my own words.

Talk some sense into her, Lawyer.

I can't take a risk.

Tell her... - But, sir...

Hello...

'What kind of leader do you want?' - Like, brother Vishwas.

'How are you?'

'What kind of leader do you want?' - Like, brother Vishwas.

How did this matter turn into a case?

It's that Asha Surve behind it.

And by the way, Vitthal Dangle met with the convicts in jail.

I told you...

He is a very dangerous man.

By the way, who is Asha Surve?

She's a kind of an activist from Rahi Nagar.

Never heard about her.

We might need to control her.

Sir, there's still too much media focus on the case.

This will unnecessarily give them more attention.

Keep an eye on her.

I'll follow up on the appeal.

Sir.

If the high court reopens this case...

Then the Police credibility will be at stake.

I know sir.

Deshpande...

We need to end this.

Welcome sir.

Please come.

Be careful sir.

Please have a seat.

Would you like a glass of water?

Please.

Oh wow, who is reading this?

That's me.

She is Mili, Tara Bai's granddaughter.

Come, dear. - Water.

Please.

What did you study today?

Every human body is created from cells.

Any two human beings might look different...

But on a cellular level, we're all equal.

Come, Neha, don't be afraid.

She's a friend of Asha.

She wants to talk to you.

Come.

Avsare... Please sit there.

Sit.

Please sit. - Sit.

Neha, he's Dangle sir.

Tell him everything that happened with you...

And with the other women in the settlement.

Mili is a very bright child.

Everyone thinks she will make it big someday.

Become a big doctor.

But sir...

She still wakes up screaming in the middle of the night.

Since the day we saw Ritu die.

We've all been living in a nightmare.

'The girls of Rahi Nagar are growing up fast.'

'Very nice.'

'Looking at the atmosphere here, I don't feel like leaving.'

Hey you, go!

Go!

'Get some booze.'

'Dinner's been arranged.'

'How long can you escape?'

'Rani! Rani!'

'Don't mess with Balli again.'

'Sister, brother, come fast!'

'Come see, what happened to her.'

Balli feared no one anymore.

He could abduct anyone he wished.

How many families faced this torture?

We stopped counting after the first couple of years.

For us, it was now a part of our life.

But no one liked to live in fear like this.

Whenever he laid his sights on any girl

He would send a message to his family.

Someone from that family...

Had to willingly go to him.

He assured us he won't come to the settlement and bother us.

This continued for 10 years?

But how?

Asha Surve is your friend.

How did so many people go to the Police Station after she arrived?

Asha left the settlement many years ago.

She didn't know about how the atmosphere had changed here.

The day she returned...

It was our turn to go to Balli's...

My family.

'You won't go. Be quiet.'

'Don't be crazy.'

'You won't go this time, mom.'

'You want to save Puja, don't you? I'll do it this time. '

'Do you even know what you're saying?'

'You've your entire life ahead of you.'

'I won't let you go. That's it.'

'And I...'

'Where won't you let aunt go?'

'What? Don't recognise me?'

'Asha, you?'

'Thank God, at least you remember your friend's name.'

'Why did you come back?'

'Is this how you treat a friend who returned after several years.'

'Haven't you taught her anything, aunt?'

'That's the way she is, dear.'

'Come, sit. Come on.'

'Sit down. You didn't inform us about your arrival.'

'That's the real joy, aunt, of surprise.'

'How are you, uncle?'

'Good.'

'You two sit and catch up, I'll be right back.'

'No, mom, you stay. I'll go.'

'Asha, get some rest.'

'I'll see you later.'

'Where are you going? Stay.'

'Isn't this Puja?'

'She is all grown up now.'

'Aunt, she looks very beautiful.'

'Keep her safe. The world out there is pretty bad.'

'Not like her. Sad face.'

'Father...'

'What's wrong, aunt?'

'Please leave now. I'll see you later.'

'Oh our sweet dish has arrived.'

'What happened? - Please...'

'We won't do anything. We are your fans.'

'Please... - Please, come on.'

'Please...' 'Please...'

'Stop it.'

'Bring her here.'

What's this?'

'The girls of Rahi Nagar are getting uglier by the day.'

'Are settlement people overfeeding their girls?'

'Balli, please.'

'Come on.'

'Balli, I'll open this time.'

'Hey... You promised me last time.'

'Balli, please.'

'First I'll take the queen.'

'Then you take the cover.'

'Come on. Come on. Come on.'

'Come on.'

Killing that monster was the right thing to do!

How could this continue for so long in today's day and age?

Maybe someone powerful was protecting him.

What's the status of the Nagpur case?

Sir, the report is almost ready...

Almost.

It was a very complicated case.

Local administration used pressure to fast-track the case.

Before the appeal... - I think we've already done enough.

Sir?

The court has already announced its verdict.

What will we achieve by challenging our own system?

That the administration couldn't stop a crowd of 200 women from forming.

But, sir...

We're lucky that all 200 women weren't sentenced to life.

But sir, those women could be innocent?

Ms. Purnima, we all know why the FFC was formed.

Stop endorsing women's rights everywhere.

Otherwise, I may get you a seat

but your political career might crash before it could take off.

In Politics, issues are raised...

When time and circumstances are in our favour.

The ruling party have given me an offer to join them.

You can read my answer in tomorrow's newspaper.

What did Asha do after that?

I mean what happened after she followed you.

Sir, she wasn't here for a long time.

So the world had changed for her.

She couldn't understand these circumstances.

'Do you want to get us all killed?'

'Why? Because I went to the Police?'

'Do you know what will happen now?'

'Do you know what they did with your daughter?'

'Enough!'

'Don't try to teach us!'

'Every daughter in this settlement has met with the same fate.'

'Yet we survived.'

'Asha, leave us alone.'

'Asha...'

'The cops called me and every woman in the settlement, 'characterless'!'

'Abused me!'

'How could you tolerate this for so long?'

'Asha, you won't understand.'

'You don't belong to this place anymore.'

'Run away.'

'Leave before they find you.'

'And take your mother with you.'

'They won't spare anyone.'

'Why should I go? This is my home!'

'Asha, go away. They will kill us!'

'Where does Asha live?'

'Good Lord!'

'Asha! Asha!'

'Stay inside. Stay inside.'

'Balli!'

'No...'

'She went in there.'

'Asha...'

'No...'

'Balli, this time I'll open first.'

'Get lost you fool.'

'Come on...'

'Hello...'

'I just want to talk to you.'

'We don't even know each other.'

'I am a saint.'

'A saint. I won't lay a finger on you.'

'Now open up and I'll push.'

'Open up!'

'Open up!'

Come on.

She is not here.

'Come here. Back up. Back up. '

'Now close your eyes. Close your eyes, idiot.'

'She wants to play hide and seek.'

'And I'm the champion.'

Okay.

'Are all eyes closed?'

'Yes.'

'Yes.'

'100...'

'90...'

'Now it's me...'

'Coming for you...'

'Be ready...'

'I'm coming.'

'I am not going to spare you...'

'You bloody...'

'Come you dog! You want to play hide and seek.'

'Beat him!'

'Beat him!'

'Beat him!'

'Beat him!'

'Enough!'

'See how they scattered like sewer rats.'

'I am going to the Police Station right now...'

'To report this attack.'

'Is anyone coming with me?'

'I will go to the Police Station.'

'I will go to the Police Station.'

'I will go to the Police Station too.'

On that day 40 FIRs were lodged.

For the first time, the Police had to arrest Balli.

Not because of the FIR

but to save him from us...

The Police arrested him.

For the first time, sir, we confronted Balli as a crowd!

For the first time, we felt alive.

We felt strong.

Chargesheets.

Statements.

Thanks.

What is this?

The freedom of our women.

Information on all the illegal stocks of businessmen and politicians...

That were stored in Balli's warehouse.

Asha, this file will turn the case around.

This is written evidence of Balli's political protection.

Meaning... those women will be free.

This case is the biggest test of my life.

Last time I was nervous, but not anymore.

This time I will beat the system according to the system.

Okay, I'll leave.

Asha...

I...

One second.

Hello.

Yes Mr. Tamhane.

Yes, I am still here. You can come over.

Okay.

After this case is over I want to tell you something.

I'll be waiting to hear it.

Yes, sir. It will be done. We're reaching there now.

Show me. What papers do you have?

I'm a businessman, sir. I never do anything for free.

I'll need something in exchange.

These people are very poor.

Even I am working for free.

But still, tell me what you want. I'll give it if possible.

The court's order has already been announced.

By filing this report...

We'll just be creating unnecessary controversy.

In fact, we'll put the lives of other women at risk.

We'll just be putting all their lives in danger...

But what about the appeal in the high court to reopen the case?

Won't our report shed some light there?

Sir what is she saying? - Look, my hands are tied.

I am sorry, but there's nothing more I can do in this case.

I'm desolving this fact finding committee, right this very moment!

I'm sorry sir... I really am.

Won't you say anything, sir?

Move aside.

Wait madam, you cannot go inside.

But I know him. - Let her through.

This cannot be suicide, sir!

Just last night...

Sir, he didn't commit suicide!

Ma'am...

Someone killed him.

Sir, this is a well-spun conspiracy!

Without Umesh, the case will be immediately dismissed from court.

I feel they are deliberately leaving no options for their release.

Often we feel that all the options are closed.

But we forget that there's always one option left.

One that we can make ourselves.

When there's no way out...

The only thing left to do is to go is further in.

Ma'am you are right.

I know..

This will be a long battle.

Very long.

But some battles must be fought.

Hello, madam. I spoke to you about the case.

No, but you've prior experience in...

Don't worry about your fee. We'll pay your fee.

Yes...

But we'll need some time.

Madam, hello.

Take all the files and case papers from Asha.

Yes sir.

I'm really sorry about Umesh.

Really sorry.

According to recent news...

The head of the fact-finding committee which was dissolved

Retired Judge Vitthal Dangle will defend this case.

They will file an appeal in the high court to reopen this case.

"Why does the head bow down in front of lies?"

"Why does it feel like everyone's dead?"

"One day try and think"

"Is it us or are you unfortunate."

"These are not just tears"

"These are waves of the ocean."

"When the flame burns high"

"You won't be able to stand for too long."

"Are you deep asleep or are you still awake?"

"or are you still awake?"

"When the fire will ignite,"

"No one will be able to stand before it."

Your honour, this statue is blindfolded

so she can deliver unbiased judgement.

But I think the time has come to remove this blindfold...

So she can deliver unbiased judgement with alert eyes.

I would like to call my first witness Raju Gupte.

Raju, you were brought to court on 13th March...

Along with Balli Chaudhary...

In connection with a hearing of your own case of sorts.

And you witnessed him being attacked. Right?

Yes sir.

Did you see these five attacking him?

Yes sir.

I saw them attack him.

So, what do you do?

I... I'm into import-export.

What do you export and import?

I'm sorry Your Honour...

I would like to respectfully ask Daangle sir...

How is this question connected to this case?

Overruled.

So you were telling us, Mr. Raju, what you import and export?

Small-time stuff, sir.

Nothing serious...

Are you hiding something?

No, sir. I mean...

On what charges were you brought to court that day?

Well, I... I... that day...

Let me tell you.

Section 307... Attempt to murder.

You tried to throw acid on your friend's sister Deepti Jadhav.

I am sorry, your honour, but I would like to ask again

How is this line of questioning...

Linked to the crime which the witness saw?

Overruled.

The crime which the witness saw...

My clients were sentenced to life imprisonment on his testimony.

I just want to tell the court...

That this witness is not an ordinary person.

He has faced multiple arrests and convictions since the age of 16.

Ranging from drug peddling, kidnapping, attempt to murder.

Out of the past ten years, he's spent...

More than seven and a half years in jail.

But as soon as became witness to Balli Chaudhary's murder...

All the charges against him were suddenly withdrawn.

He's let off scot-free.

Respectfully acquitted.

At the time of the murder red chilli powder was scattered in the air.

Faces of all the women were completely covered.

And still Mr. Raju clearly saw these five women, with his own eyes...

And also identified them.

As a result, they are serving a life imprisonment.

Therefore, I question his credibility Your Honour.

Your honour, I would like to invite SI Patil.

Since how long have you been posted in Vijay Nagar Police Station?

12 years, sir.

Oh from past 12 years.

It's quite a long time.

And you had no transfers or new postings during this time?

I only do my job.

And these things are not under my control, isn't it?

Of course.

What do you know about Balli Chaudhary?

Nothing much... He was a small-time goon.

If he ever stirred things up...

We would let him off with a warning.

But people like him are a lost cause.

They never learn.

So why suddenly arrest him?

Well, this time we received several complaints from Rahi Nagar.

They even attacked him.

So you arrested him to protect him?

No...

No, that's not true.

How long was Balli Chaudhary in your custody?

10 days.

So for those 10 days, were you in charge of what he ate?

No...

I mean yes.

Completely under my control.

So what did he eat on the night of 12th March?

How could I know what he ate?

Your honour, the witness is being pressurised.

How is the victim's diet connected to his murder?

I object to this, Your Honour.

Overruled.

Your honour, this is the victim's post mortem report.

It's been made very competently.

Every injury was examined in great detail.

Interestingly, there is a basic report missing.

Blood report.

Patil sir, can you tell us why the blood report is missing?

No...

I don't know.

Are you sure, you don't know?

No.

It's okay.

You can go.

Your honour, I would like to call ACP Sameer Deshpande.

ACP sir, I will ask you only one question.

And it's a very small question.

Can you shed some light on this missing blood report?

'The blood report seems missing from here.'

'Actually, sir...'

'Just tell me the truth.'

There were...

There were traces of alcohol in his blood.

Traces of alcohol were found in Balli Chaudhary's blood...

Even when he was in SI Patil's custody for 10-days.

Thank you ACP sir. You may go now.

After several sensational twists and turns Balli Chaudhary murder case...

Is making headlines again.

'The 5 women breathe a sigh of relief...'

'After ACP Sameer Deshpande's statement.'

'Whether this ray of hope can get them acquitted, only time will tell.'

'Meanwhile, the Nagpur Police Administration's integrity is being questioned.'

Justice... Fairness... Equality

These are not just words for me.

They define me.

But what is justice?

One reality is that Balli Chaudhary was murdered.

A crowd of women murdered him.

And we kept trying to find out..

Who among those crowd of women murdered him.

But one question that kept bothering me...

Pecking me is, 'Why'?

Why kill a man who was already in Police custody?

A man whose case was already in court.

A man who could've been sentenced.

Then why?

'See Patil...'

'Everyone's here to give me a warm welcome.'

'Bunch of fools.'

'Balli, let's go.'

'Wait Patil! ' - Move.'

'Hold on!'

'So...'

'You guys are used to having fun now?'

'Wait...'

'Just a couple of days.'

'When I come out I'll rock everyone's world.'

'Fun like you never had before.'

'How dare you?'

'Don't be crazy, Balli. Don't make a scene here.'

'Deal with them later.'

'Come on. Let's go.'

'I'll parade you nude.'

'Come on, let's go.'

'I'll parade you nude or, I'm not Balli Chaudhary.'

Hope is the silver lining of life.

Even when surrounded by darkness...

We hope for circumstances to change.

Balli Chaudhary kept terrorising Rahi Nagar for 10 long years.

And yet everyone tolerated him hoping one day it will all end.

But on 3rd March the residents of Rahi Nagar saw Balli Chaudhary...

Abusing them within court premises and in police custody.

They heard him giving threats.

Now the question arises...

Where did a criminal like Balli, find this courage?

Because the women who complained against him were Dalits.

And that's the real core of this case.

But this has become our nature now.

To read such news in the morning while having a cup of tea...

And feel nothing about it.

It's not just these accussed, who rape these women.

It's our mindset, that rapes them.

It's our numbness towards these crime, that's more disturbing.

The Dalit issue is a communal issue...

Which is a tradition of sorts.

We have the freedom to follow or not follow a religion...

Or freedom to convert our religion.

But, Law is differrent from religion.

We do not have the freedom to follow or not follow, the Law.

Law has to bindsing for all.

But that doesn't happen.

And certainly not for these Dalit women.

An 'unjust' Law is 'no' Law at all.

If our judicial system is failing to protect them...

Then it has no right to punish them either, Your Honour.

We should pray that these people don't lose hope.

Because if people kept losing hope like this...

Then in the future, justice will not be done in courts...

But it will be done on the streets by mobs.

That's all Your Honour.

Your Honour...

Respected Sir, enlightened us with his beautiful and nice thoughts.

But now, Your Honour...

I would like to draw the court's attention to this immediate case...

For which we've all gathered here.

Maybe, Balli Chaudhary tortured these women.

Maybe, he made their life hell.

But Your Honour, the important question...

Facing us since Day One is still unanswered.

And the question is, did these women form a mob and kill Balli Chaudhary?

Yes!

I killed him!

Chopped that goon to pieces.

And I'll do it again, if I have to!

I finally rest my case Your Honour.

As my learned friend said...

We should forget everything else and focus on the murder.

So... I would like to present the real murderer in front of the court.

I killed Balli Chaudhary!

I killed Balli Chaudhary!

I killed Balli Chaudhary!

I killed Balli Chaudhary!

I killed Balli Chaudhary! - I killed Balli Chaudhary!

I killed Balli Chaudhary! - I killed Balli Chaudhary!

Order! Order!

I killed Balli Chaudhary! - I killed Balli Chaudhary!
