In the later stages of the Ming Dynasty,

chaos reigned.

A gang of bandits

calling themselves Changsheng Sect

wreaked havoc in Ghost Town.

Under the guise of driving away disasters,

they rob the locals of their money.

Master Yimei was concerned for

the people's safety and their belongings.

He rushed to the town to find out the truth.

[The Return of Yimei]

[East Gate]

In the presence of the Master,

our lives are safeguarded.

Demons' bodies adorn the hall,

looming on each side with dread.

[Dian]

Begin the ritual.

Master, you are truly powerful.

I want to thank you on behalf of my family.

I am simply fulfilling my duty.

Soldiers are on alert.

What demon is hiding from its true form?

Are you still refusing to give up?

My energy is fading.

Master, do you think you can handle it?

Ritual instrument!

All done.

Master.

Didn't you say you wanted to take him down?

God embraces benevolence.

We come as humans

and depart as the deceased.

Whether living or dead, none can evade me.

Let him live another day.

Master Yimei.

What do you want?

Move.

Stop it!

You can't just barge in like that.

I am always there to help

when I see injustice.

Senior! Stop it!

Come on, I'm your junior, Tianzhen.

Who do you think you're fooling?

Look, I have a token.

[Token]

I couldn't bear Wang's deceitfulness,

so I teamed up with the fake Master Zhang

to take him down a peg or two.

Please forgive me.

Hello, Master.

Please have a seat.

Get us some tea.

Hm?

Truth be told, this is my junior

whom I haven't seen for ages.

He's young and immature.

He played pranks

and deceived you.

I'm truly sorry about that.

Apologize.

Mm.

Don't worry, Sir.

I'll do my best to make it right.

That won't be necessary.

Where is that fake Master?

Senior, stay here.

I'll go get the money back.

What's this?

A poison that can kill you within a day.

If you can't find the antidote,

not even God can save you.

What?

Why aren't you moving?

Go get the money back.

Got it.

Sir, if he doesn't return in one day,

I'll take the responsibility.

No.

There is no need.

Where did he go?

I'm totally through.

With senior's temper,

I wont't be forgiven.

How am I supposed to get the money back?

On no.

I need to take a dump.

As they say, "Money is like dirt."

I need to take care of this first.

Go to hell!

Why are you doing?

You pervert!

What are you doing?

What am I doing?

I'll show you what I'm doing.

Pervert!

Who are you calling a pervert?

Hey miss.

Miss.

Miss.

Are you from Ghost Town?

I was just about to head back.

Let's keep each other company.

We are in the same direction anyway.

Wait for me.

My name is Tianzhen.

What's your name?

Miss.

Master, please save us!

Master.

Master, please save us.

Master, please save us.

Please show mercy and save us.

Please.

Please save us!

This is the holy water of our Master.

It can cure all diseases

and bring blessings.

Those who had their soul taken away can have their soul taken back with the holy water.

The Mistress is showing her mercy

by giving this holy water to you.

Thank you so much, Master.

We are truly grateful for your help.

We'll never forget your kindness.

Zhang Wang.

I sent you to Ghost Town.

How did everything go?

Master.

Ghost Town is a perfect place.

The people there are humble and innocent.

They are all very wealthy.

I tried to connect with Wang Jingde,

but Yimei got in the way.

He was very aggressive.

I'm worried there might be trouble,

so I had to come back.

You are useless.

Yimei overstepped his bounds.

How dare he obstruct my way!

I will end him.

Master, I have failed you.

I deserve punishment.

Well.

Your wish is granted.

Why hasn't he come back?

Sir, we have a problem.

Someone's soul has been taken away.

You need to check it out.

The person should be here.

Here, Master Yimei!

Please come inside.

Come this way.

Master.

Don't worry, Sir.

Your daughter's soul hasn't been taken away.

Then what is this all about?

A neighbor said a beggar was following her

and cut a bunch of her hair today.

She was unconscious since she got home.

I consulted several doctors today

and tried their prescriptions.

Why don't you try mine instead?

You cannot take away someone's soul.

It's just a deception.

The bandits used poison

from the South that causes unconsciousness.

Once we find the antidote,

she will wake up.

Why did they taking away her hair?

This poison requires the contact of the hair

and the skin of the victim to take effect.

That's absurd!

If I find out who did this,

they're in big trouble.

Hurry up. The Master is here.

Under Master's grace, no calamities befall.

Protect yourself with sacrifice money

against any dangers tall.

To ward off ghosts, 3,000 tales is all.

The Master is here to help us!

How dare he pull such a trick in front of me

Spell!

Brother!

Brother, wake up!

Brother!

They took my money away.

Brother!

Stay with me!

You take care of your brother.

He can't run away like this.

Take care of the people.

I'll go after him.

Okay.

Senior.

I need my antidote!

You only took my energy pill.

Demon, reveal yourself!

How dare you!

I'm the Master, Holy Sage.

Sorry?

Holy Sage.

What Sage?

Holy...

How dare you!

Bring the rain!

Are you trying to play the hero?

Either you stay here, or stay out of it.

I'm tired.

I am gonna go and get some sleep.

Sir, this way.

How is everything going?

They were all poisoned.

I know that.

Poison from the South.

I know that already!

I'm asking if you have a solution.

We need an antidote.

Of course I know we need it.

I'm asking if you have it or not.

Brother, I'm just an alchemist.

I don't have the antidote for this poison.

But if you can get this kind of poison,

I can make the antidote.

Sir, we have a problem here.

Villagers are going to Changsheng Sect.

Including my father.

I can't stop him.

[Wang's Residence]

Hey. Everyone.

Gather around.

Come here.

Master Yimei said

the patients at home were just poisoned.

The Changsheng Sect told you

their souls were taken away.

Don't believe their nonsense!

I think you are the one talking nonsense.

I agree.

Yeah.

Let's go.

It seems that this town has been taken over

by the Changsheng Sect

What should we do?

There is too many of them.

We are no match for them.

How dare they deceive people like this!

Who do they think they are?

Then you go and take care of them.

Brother, you know

I only practice alchemy and medicine.

You're the fighter.

Sir.

I'll go and seek assistance

from my other two Brothers.

We are counting on you!

We can't waste any time.

I'll leave right away.

Take care, senior.

You seem a bit down today.

Not at all.

I am going to save the day with you.

I couldn't be happier right now.

Wait!

Yulan?

Master Yimei.

You have great power.

Villagers are now suffering.

How can you leave everything behind?

Get up.

Master Yimei.

My brother and I only have each other.

I implore you to avenge him.

I'm willing to do anything for you.

Get up!

If you don't help,

I'll end my life here.

Brother, just help her.

Yulan, you've misunderstood.

The reason we're leaving is

to bring my two juniors back

to help us defeat the fake Changsheng Sect.

Really?

Can I tag along?

Sure!

My Brother agreed.

He agreed.

Let's get up.

Senior.

Little Brother.

Senior.

We can skip that.

Seniors.

You are finally here.

You haven't changed much.

I'll arrange an inn

for you guys to rest.

After I finish my work here,

let's grab a drink.

Drinking?

Hey, Chongyang!

You are still on duty, remember?

Get back to work.

Stop chit-chatting with strangers.

Can you afford the consequences

if something goes missing in the residence?

Senior, I...

We'll be waiting for you at the inn.

Alright.

That son of a bitch.

Never mind.

Let's go.

Seniors.

Miss.

I am just happy to see you here.

Drink up!

Let's eat up!

Senior.

You look well dressed.

And what's the deal with the person earlier?

Don't even mention it.

Let's drink.

What brings you guys here?

Senior.

I...

Senior.

The reason we're here is

for the safety of the people in Ghost Town.

I wanted to ask you and Third Junior.

To destroy Changsheng Sect.

Well, senior.

Sorry.

I might not be able to leave at the moment.

Why not?

If we have a guest today,

just let them know I'm not here.

Okay.

Senior.

Senior.

My master is currently away.

Please come back another day.

Where is he?

He doesn't go out much.

Burn it down.

What?

Burn down his pavilion!

Are you sure?

What do you have against him?

Why do you have to burn down his place?

Just do it.

Copy that.

Let me see.

Don't dilly-dally.

I'm thinking about

how to burn it down in one shot.

That's weird.

Senior.

Well-played, senior.

Well, you've played even better

by ignoring people from your sect.

Have a seat.

Okay.

Cat got your tongue?

After Fourth Junior died in that battle,

I choose to disconnect from the world now.

I am sorry.

In a world of turmoil,

amidst injustice and strife,

the five of us pledge our lives

to ease the people's pain

for the world peace

and the world justice.

We are unafraid of danger,

unfazed by death,

united until our final breath.

[Token]

A person's inner voice can't be ignored.

Nonsense! I hear no voice within me.

What are you doing?

Master.

Your juniors...

They won't come.

What?

To defeat the bandits,

we need to count on ourselves.

The all look fierce and tough.

Their leader breathes fire

and disappears underground.

Maybe they are demons.

How are we gonna beat them?

She got a point.

I agree.

It's a cover-up to deceive villagers.

I'll do whatever it takes

to avenge my brother.

You guys are always

expecting others to do things for you.

You're even worse than a girl.

If the bandits show up,

I hope they take you all out.

How can you say such things?

Sir, I'm heading to the government

to see if I can get some reinforcements.

Let's get ready!

He's in quite a hurry, isn't he?

[Government]

Hey!

Who are you?

Sir,

I want to see the Lord.

Get in the line.

You are gonna buy me with it?

It's far from enough.

How about now?

Please wait here.

[Government]

My lord.

Someone wants to see you.

Get lost.

How dare you break in like this!

Take him down.

This concerns the lives of the villagers.

Please let me finish.

My lord,

a group of bandits appeared in the town

claiming to be Changsheng Sect.

They've been robbing people,

spreading rumors,

and committing all sorts of atrocities.

There are too many of them

for us to handle alone.

My lord, I am asking you

to provide reinforcements to help us.

I only have a dozen soldiers here,

let alone any reinforcements.

If I report this to the General,

it takes time to get approval.

Don't worry, my lord.

I've assembled some people in the town.

We can also cast some spells.

With your support,

we can defeat the bandits.

Who are you?

My name is Yimei.

You are the Master Yimei.

I've heard a lot about you.

Soldier Wang.

Dispatch all the soldiers here

and go help Master get the bandits.

I'll inform the General immediately.

The world is currently in turmoil.

I'm concerned that

his soldiers may not arrive in time.

We'll have to wait and see.

You saw the bandits today.

If it weren't for Master Yimei,

we wouldn't be safe here.

Instead of getting robbed by those bandits,

why don't we all pitch in

and ask Master Yimei for help?

Most of our people are poor

and don't have extra money.

Plus, they didn't demand anything from us.

Of course they wouldn't ask for money

right to your face.

Master Tianzhen told me in secret.

Look,

I've already given them a few hundred taels.

Each household is expected to chip in

10 taels tomorrow morning.

If not,

I won't bother helping

when the bandits show up.

Sir, the Master is back with reinforcements.

Oh, I see.

Why don't we call it a night?

Let's break up and raise money.

Hurry up.

Guardian.

I have something to report to Master.

Master is not here.

Keep an eye on it.

When the color changes,

put it in this bottle.

Got it?

Come here.

Why didn't you cover your mouth and nose?

Hey. Come here.

Come.

Come here.

Come.

Here.

Come over.

Come.

Come.

Thank you.

Sir.

They are...

the villagers you gathered?

That's right.

This is a small town.

These are all the villagers we can use.

You figure out what they can do to help you.

Senior.

Hey.

Look.

It seems we have to bring down

the bandits on our own.

Don't worry, senior.

I will protect the people of the town,

even if it means risking my life.

You did it for Yulan, right?

Senior...

Third senior!

You...

Didn't you say you weren't coming?

[Token]

[Token]

[Token]

[Token]

It has been confirmed

that this is the stronghold of the Changsheng Sect.

I've asked Third Junior to keep a discreet watch on it.

This fortress is so big.

If we want to besiege them,

we need a force of hundreds.

Catch the leader first.

As long as we catch the White Lotus,

the Changsheng Sect will collapse.

If we were to forcefully attack the fort

and arrest the White Lotus,

it would be no small feat.

Lure the tiger away from the mountain

and the snake out of its den.

The plan is straightforward.

Landlord Wang, you feign negotiation with her,

to draw her out.

Then...

Then we brothers will work together to take her down.

I think it will work.

Let's discuss the details of the plan.

Later,

we went down the mountain to help the weak.

Armed with our exceptional abilities,

we helped people everywhere.

Wherever we went, we were met with praise.

More importantly,

no matter where I went, people tried to matchmake for me.

Whether from distinguished families or noble clans,

there were countless ladies proposed as matches for me.

But my heart didn't flutter at all.

Until I met you,

I thought it was destiny.

I wonder if you, Miss Yulan...

Miss Yulan.

Do you have feelings for me?

No.

You're a man. Don't be so shy.

Say yes if you do.

Yes.

In that case,

you don't have to say more.

You have an upright character

and are kind.

As long as you avenge my brother's death,

I'm willing to marry you.

Really?

Don't worry.

This gunpowder is my senior brother's secret weapon.

Let alone the Changsheng Sect,

even a deity,

can't escape the barrage of this fire.

Mrs. He!

My Lord, you're here.

We had a meeting a few days ago.

And we agreed

that in order to eradicate the Changsheng Sect,

those in town should contribute money

or strength.

Everyone has a part to play.

Ah, My Lord,

you know,

this cloth store of mine...

By the end of the year,

after all the taxes and expenses,

there is not much left.

Mrs. He,

It's not that I want your money,

I'm collecting your money to work for you people.

Besides, it's the money that the Master Yiemei demands.

Master Yiemei?

Right.

Ah, well then, wait a minute.

Good. Thank you.

Take care on your way, My Lord.

Ah, My Lord,

Come in, come in.

Ah, alright.

Give me the money quickly.

I still need to collect from the next household.

It wouldn't be good to keep the Master Yiemei waiting.

Hurry up and give me the money.

My Lord, I...

I don't have much.

Even if it's not much, you still have to give it, alright?

You can do your business now.

Give me the money.

I haven't started my business.

Not started yet?

I haven't set up my stall yet.

Haven't started your business?

Ah, that's fine.

Go away.

Thank you for your support.

My business hasn't kicked off yet.

You actually took my things away!

You are acting like bandits!

Landlord Wang harmed my senior.

I've got to tell him about this.

The Cai's Pastry Stall,

gave me 3 taels 7 grams and 7 cents yesterday.

3 taels 7 grams and 7 cents...

Well,

He's Cloth Store,

gave me 5 taels, 8 grams and 6 cents.

Well, that's enough.

Ah, and

the brothel and the pawnshop are not counted.

My Lord, they are all yours.

Are they mine?

Oh,

my brain isn't functioning right.

Landlord Wang!

Master Yiemei!

I heard that you used my name

to collect money from the townspeople.

I thought we agreed

that to lure her out of the sect,

we would need spend some money, right?

If not, how can we lure her out?

Drawing the snake out of its hole is true,

using my letter of reconciliation would suffice.

There's no need

to collect money from the people.

Really?

Is it that simple?

I guess I'm just getting old and forgetful.

Okay.

I know.

Anyway, you can't charge the people anymore.

Fine.

They are having a hard time too.

I understand.

Well,

I'll go and get ready.

Okay.

Crap!

Butler!

Ask a servant to send this letter to the Changsheng Sect.

Hurry up.

Hurry up.

This is our Chief.

Chief!

This is a letter from my Lord.

Silly boy.

I'm just kidding.

Yiemei and his men will ambush you tonight when you negotiate

in the forest.

Kill them.

I'll pay you.

Why aren't they here yet?

Be careful.

This fog is strange.

The fog is poisonous!

Cover your nose.

Be careful!

Tianzhen!

Tianzhen!

Tianzhen!

Tianzhen!

How is everyone?

Tianzhen has been poisoned.

Now, Tianzhen is barely holding on,

Just getting by.

I didn't expect the people from the Changsheng Sect to be so cunning.

There's something strange about all this.

Landlord Wang, check the servants,

and see if anyone colluded with the people from the Changsheng Sect.

OK, I'll go now.

My Lord, bad news.

The people from the Changsheng Sect are here.

They must be coming for you, Master Yiemei.

I'll go and see.

Who's there?

Senior, something's wrong.

The people from Changsheng Sect are here.

Third senior

I can't hold them off.

We have to retreat.

Where is our gunpowder?

It's all wet.

Go and help them.

OK.

Tianzhen!

Yulan!

Tianzhen!

Take Yulan and go.

What about you?

Just take Yulan and go!

Take Yulan and go!

You...

You promised to kill them.

Now they are still alive. What if they seek revenge on me?

Where's the money?

Show me the head of the Master Yiemei.

Then you can talk to me about the money.

Bargaining with the devil，

do you know what kind of consequences that entails?

Don't be like this.

You know I asked help from the Master Yiemei,

so you can get the money from the villagers.

And,

if I hadn't soaked the fuse of explosives,

it would have

been you who got blown up.

So,

that's why I am letting you live till now.

Do you think I care about killing one more person?

Today you have scared them all.

Three days.

In three days,

I can bring all the money to you.

I think

you still haven't figured it out.

Your life is under my control.

Bring the money in three days,

I can consider sparing your worthless life.

Keep an eye on him, as he's still useful.

[Token]

Tianzhen, I'll come back to save you.

Those bandits will return in three days for the money and grain.

The Landlord Wang has betrayed us.

I am currently being held as a hostage in the Wang Residence.

I should be safe for the time being.

You have to act according to the situation.

Miss,

are you alright?

Come here.

Where is Tianzhen?

Don't worry about him.

The senior has come to rescue him.

They will be back soon.

Master.

Senior!

Senior!

How is it?

Landlord Wang is the traitor.

What?

That bastard.

We've treated him so well.

How could he do this to us?

How is Tianzhen?

The Landlord Wang is concerned about our retaliation,

so Tianzhen has been asked to stay at the residence to recuperate.

He should be fine for now.

The bandits will come for the money and grain in three days.

This is our last chance.

Master Wang, hurry back.

Report the truth to the Governor.

And urge him to lead the troops

to come back within three days.

I'll go now.

Take care.

Senior, what should we do next?

Let's go meet with that Landlord Wang.

Let's go. -Let's go.

[Wang's Ancestral Temple]

Folks,

I've talked with the people from the Changsheng Sect.

They only want money.

As long as we hand over money and grain within three days,

they won't hurt us.

If we hand over our money and grain,

aren't we still going to starve?

Don't worry.

The government won't give up on us.

The government is afraid that we'll gather together and cause trouble,

so the government will definitely help us.

Landlord Wang,

you gave the money and grain to the cult members,

and planned to request aid from the court.

Your scheme is truly ingenious.

Master Yiemei!

It's a pleasure to see you.

Do you wish for me to be in trouble?

Of course not.

Folks,

we failed

because of him.

He colluded with

the people from Changsheng Sect,

and set us up.

You gave the money to the cult members

and asked the court for another sum.

You're really good at scheming!

Yimei, stop acting.

Let me tell you.

He made up a story

to lure the snake out of its hole

and asked you for money.

But the Changsheng Sect was not eradicated.

Now you've made up another story to lie to me.

What are you up to?

Folks, he deceived you out of your money.

You...

You're slandering me!

Me?

His second junior was poisoned,

but he's fine.

Yet all of you get poisoned.

Master Yiemei

did collect money from us.

He also took it from us.

You are a liar!

You liar!

You liar!

Liar!

Return our money!

Protect our senior!

Go!

Senior! You...

Don't hurt the folks.

You can't distinguish the truth but frame a good person!

Protect our senior!

Stop!

Return our money!

Senior!

Where is Second Junior?

He will wake up soon.

He's fine.

I don't know much about medicine.

If only Tianzhen were here.

It's fine.

I still have my Tiangang Energy protecting me.

This minor injury can't do anything to me.

Senior,

I'll take you away tomorrow morning.

I'll settle you down first

before I come back to save Tianzhen.

I will never leave,

until the Changsheng Sect is eradicated.

Senior,

Do you still want to save these fools?

When all the doctors nearby heard that they were to treat you,

none of them were willing to come.

They wouldn't even sell us the Incision Wound Medicine.

I'm not talented but I know

that the highest principle

is to seek benevolence and gain benevolence.

We are not saving the townspeople,

but all living beings.

Chief,

the Governor has gathered 3,000 troops.

They will arrive at the Netherworld Town soon.

What do you think? Should we move first?

The despicable Master Yiemei,

and foolish officials and troops

are attempting to hinder our mission to bring blessings to the people.

What do you think we should do?

Kill them!

How dare you!

How dare you disrespect the Chief!

Chief,

She's dead.

She deserved to die.

Master.

Fortunately, there's still hope for recovery.

Gentry Cai, take Miss Yulan back for treatment.

Chief, you're here.

Chief,

these stupid commoners have no money.

This is all they have.

Please accept it.

And, Chief,

I have an idea.

I just want to follow you.

There is no business more profitable than this one.

Right?

Doing such a good business on my own is good enough.

Why would I want to include you?

Since the people have no money,

take out your own money.

Chief,

it seems that Tianzhen has escaped.

Escaped?

That's terrible.

Chief, let's first get rid of Yimei

before we search his property.

Why are you back?

Don't move.

This is much simpler than I thought.

Juniors,

I haven't fully recovered.

The vitality pill from Tianzhen may not last much longer.

We must make it quick.

Let's go.

Be careful.

There must be a trap inside.

Search carefully.

If I weren't injured,

for this door,

I could make it open with a single palm strike.

Senior,

If you could make it open with one strike,

then I should be able to smash it open.

Hey, has anyone attacked the the stronghold?

Hey,

We're talking to you.

Run!

Why don't you run?

Why don't you run?

Go on, run!

Senior,

There's a lot of gold and silver treasure.

Master Yiemei.

If I knew you like sitting here,

I would have given you this position long ago.

If you cooperate with me,

you can cheat people of all the wealth in the world.

Look at you!

How arrogant!

I have no interest in your evil ways.

You...

All this gold and silver is ill-gotten wealth.

Return it

to where it came from.

Since you like my position so much,

I'll let you have it.

Trying to run?

Even if you're as cunning as a ghost, you'll still drink the water of my footbath.

These are the people of the Ghost Town.

Once the poison is detoxified,

they can regain their consciousness.

But if you don't kill them now,

they will kill you.

Master Yiemei,

what will you do?

Escape through the earth!

Escape through the sky!

This is the trap I set for you.

Enjoy it.

You think you can just leave after killing someone?

You think you can stop me?

I have the virtue of cherishing life.

You may go.

Although I'm not as capable as my senior,

in the aspect of mechanisms and formations,

I have a little expertise.

Get out of my formation first.

Your capability is indeed worse than your senior.

Senior, this tracking talisman can help you find the White Lotus.

I hope you can eradicate the White Lotus and the Changsheng Sect soon,

and protect the folks.

Senior,

We have to save him.

Begin!

Break!

Tianzhen has passed away,

but he put a tracking talisman on the White Lotus.

Senior,

Take care of yourself.

As for the White Lotus, she won't get away.

Go!

You...

Go!

Go!

Go!

Hurry up.

Madam,

come with us.

Seize her!

Do you think you can catch me?

White Lotus,

you might as well surrender.

This trap is tailored for you.

This is the most basic formation of our Jinshan Sect.

You can't get out.

You can't get out at all.

White Lotus,

surrender.

The remnants of the Changsheng Sect have been captured one after another,

and the Changsheng Sect has been completely eradicated.

Junior,

[Tomb of Tianzhen, disciple of the Jinshan Sect]

The people are safe now.

Don't worry.

We have fulfilled the cause.

Masters,

The governer

wants thank you for eliminating the Changsheng Sect

and helping the people,

so he has prepared a banquet at the Mingyue Restaurant

and a reward of 1,000 taels of silver.

Please come tomorrow.

If Tianzhen were alive now,

he would be overjoyed.

Forget about it.

Goodbye, Senior.

Goodbye, Senior.

See you.

What are you doing?

Eliminating harm to the people

is our duty.

Please convey my message to the Governer

that I appreciate his kindness.

If there must be a reward,

then please donate this money

to those impoverished people.

Today, with the Changsheng Sect eradicated,

we shall also take our leave.

Master, you haven't fully recovered.

Why don't you stay longer?

I am a wanderer by nature.

There will be people in other places that need my help.

Everyone,

please take care.

Farewell.

Master, wait for me.

Yulan,

where are you going?

Tianzhen died to protect us,

so I want to take over his cause.

Take care.
