[My Wife is A Thief]

[Episode 24]

Pull over here.

My Lord.

What's wrong?

Father.

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

I'm just thirsty.

You leave with my father first.

Take good care of him.

I'll get some water and be back soon.

Yes, Young Master.

Let's go.

Butler.

Have you brought the water?

Ning.

Ning.

Duke Su.

You persecuted loyal men

by colluding with the enemy and betraying the country.

It's time for you to pay the price

today.

In order to reverse my father's case,

[Chen's Mansion]

you've been devoting yourself

for the past fifteen years.

Please accept my bow.

Nephew, please rise.

Your father has been wronged for fifteen years.

Now treacherous villains including Duke Su are rooted out.

Nephew.

You're a great young man.

Please accept my bow.

Uncle, please don't do that.

If it weren't for your persistence

and the sacrifice of other ministers,

it would be hard for me to reverse the case

even if I'm capable.

Nephew, don't worry.

I will hand over the ledger protected by Brother Chengsi

with his life to His Majesty.

Thank you, Uncle.

The journey back to the capital is far.

Uncle, please take care.

Wu Zhao.

Take care of Lord Liu.

Don't worry, My Lord.

You can

count on me.

When will you return to the capital?

Uncle.

I will return to the capital

after solving the Moon Star Herb case.

Goodbye.

Be careful.

[Chen's Mansion]

Here.

Ms. Yu Luocha, thank you for helping me

solve the case of Duke Su.

If it weren't for Lord Xu,

I would still be deceived by Duke Su

and even assist the evildoer.

Thank you, Lord Xu.

Master.

No need to be so polite.

We're a family.

How is that a family?

Didn't Lord Xu marry Su Jinzhen, rather than Liu Rong before?

Aren't you clear of that?

Be quiet and focus on your meal.

I'm telling the truth.

Don't deny it.

All right.

You've been arguing for so many years.

Has one of you ever won?

Let's eat.

Let's eat.

Lord Xu.

I have a request.

Ms. Yu Luocha.

Please

allow me to marry Mumu.

Young Master Gongyang.

Although I'm Mumu's master,

her marriage

depends on her own will.

Senior.

Why are you blushing?

You weren't like this before.

Mumu.

Please marry me.

I'm serious.

Can't you ask Master when there're only three of us?

Now

everyone is going to make fun of me.

Mumu.

I'm serious.

Young Master Gongyang.

Mumu didn't say no.

That means she agreed.

Isn't it obvious?

Isn't it obvious?

Mumu.

Is what he said true?

Be quiet and focus on your meal.

Here.

A toast to all of you.

Here comes the imperial edict.

Under the blessing from heaven, the imperial edict reads as follows.

The Yue State keeps causing disturbances on the border

and tries to invade our land.

Senior General in the South died on the battlefield.

The extreme grief in my heart

is beyond description.

Xu Muchen, Governor of the Zichen Department,

is an intelligent elite

of the country.

Therefore, I order Xu Muchen to lead 100,000 elite soldiers

to fight the Yue State in Taizhou

so as to solve the territorial crisis.

I look forward to

good news of victory.

That's all.

I will follow His Majesty's order.

Lord Xu.

To avoid any delay,

Lord Xu, please depart for the barracks as soon as possible.

Honey.

Is anything bothering you?

The Yue State has been coveting our country for years.

The enemy has the military map of our country.

Their military actions are gaining momentum.

I'm not sure

if I can repulse the attacks.

Don't worry, darling.

I'll always be by your side

no matter when.

No, you can't go with me to the battlefield.

Why?

It's too dangerous.

You'd better stay here

and wait for me.

No.

I must go with you.

Honey.

There's no game on the battlefield.

I'm not joking.

You're a talent of our country.

It's your duty to protect the people.

But I am your wife.

I should stay by your side.

Then promise me

you'll prioritize your own safety

no matter what happens.

Okay.

Also...

Don't worry.

I will protect myself.

I won't make you worry.

You don't believe me?

Let's set rules.

Xu Muchen, what are you doing?

Are you really going to write down the rules?

Rong.

Senior.

Why are you here?

What?

Can't I come?

I didn't mean that.

Are you really going to the battlefield

with Xu Muchen?

Yes.

We have a deal.

He protects the country

while I protect him.

But it's a pity

that I can't attend the wedding of you and Young Master Gongyang.

You are not into a banquet.

It won't be a pity.

But it's your wedding.

It's a pity

that I can't be with you.

It's your good wishes

that count.

Here.

Wear it when you leave.

Senior.

Why are you giving it to me?

You will risk your life to protect the country.

You need it more than I do.

Protect yourself.

I didn't expect

I gave you the credit

for protecting the country

after competing with you for so many years.

What?

Do you regret resigning?

No.

I speak highly of myself,

thinking that no one can be on a par with me.

You are not an exception.

I know that.

I used to wonder

why you, a sinner's son,

could live in such a carefree way.

That's why I always wanted to suppress your pride.

Now I understand.

You live freely

because you have a faith in justice in your heart.

I know that too.

Come on.

Muchen.

I don't want to be too emotional.

I wish you a triumphant return.

Thank you, Gongyang.

Now the enemy is stronger than us.

The soldiers are in low morale.

If the supplies cannot reach in time,

we can only hold on for five more days at most.

Wu Zhao?

Wu Zhao?

My Lord.

Young Madam.

Why are you here?

My Lord is ordered to lead the army.

How can I be absent?

I've reported to the court.

From now on,

I'm your lieutenant.

I even got half a rank higher than before.

I didn't expect

you were so ambitious.

I'll leave you to your work.

I'll go wash my face.

Wu Zhao.

How is Uncle Liu?

Don't worry, My Lord.

I have sent him

to the capital safely.

Lord Liu has handed over evidence regarding Duke Su

to His Majesty.

Xiao Qiu and I

came here as soon as possible

after we reported to Lord Gu.

Thank you.

My Lord.

How is the battle?

Not good.

The Yue State has occupied three cities of our country.

Now our army has been in a passive role.

Although the situation has been stabilized these days,

the commander-in-chief on the western front died

and there's no commander there.

I'm afraid we couldn't hang in there.

We've lost three cities

for the past few days?

The Yue State has the map of our military operations.

They know the way we arrange troops and deliver supplies

very well.

And their commander-in-chief

is familiar with our water routes.

They are attacking us in the dark.

Who's the commander-in-chief of Yue?

According to the information,

the commander-in-chief of Yue

is Su Jinning.

Su Jinning?

Why would he lead troops?

He was conferred the title of General

after sending the map to Yue.

After Duke Su's death,

he will definitely take this opportunity

to take revenge on our country.

How I wish that we could

kill him back then!

Don't tell Young Madam about this.

Don't worry.

I'm the most tight-lipped.

Take a rest if you're tired.

There's no rush in marching.

Thank you, honey.

I'll take a rest after finishing my reading.

My Lord.

According to your order,

the army on the western front

pulled five miles back.

Okay.

Are troops on all fronts at your disposal?

Yes.

The commander-in-chief changes most frequently.

The soldiers are dispatched

only by the tiger tally given by His Majesty.

Anyone who owns the tally is the commander-in-chief.

This time, the generals and soldiers on all fronts are at my disposal

because I have the tally given by His Majesty.

What about the Yue State?

Does it work the same for them?

The attacks of Yue have been well-prepared.

It's also the tiger tally that determines the deployment of troops.

I see.

It's the same as Master's token.

We must see the token

before we take actions

unless it's a face-to-face order.

What if there is no token?

No token,

no order.

Even Senior Moyan

can't order us around.

Thank you, honey.

You inspired me to defeat the enemy.

The enemy is stronger than us.

But if the they can't deploy troops,

no matter how strong they are, we will surely win.

My Lord, you mean...

Sneak in their military camp

to steal their tiger tally.

Once we get their tiger tally,

we will mobilize all our troops

to attack them.

They won't be able to deploy troops

and will be in chaos.

That's when we can annihilate them.

Wonderful!

Su Jinning doesn't know martial arts.

If we can steal his tiger tally...

Jinning?

Honey.

I'll steal the tiger tally

for you.

It's dangerous.

You can't go.

You are the commander-in-chief of the army.

If anything happened to you,

who would take command

and direct operations?

Besides,

I was the one who let Jinning go.

It's not your fault.

If it were me...

I am the one to blame.

I should bear the consequences.

Don't worry.

I'll leave once I get the tiger tally.

I won't waste time there.

Don't stop me now.

Fine.

But this is too dangerous.

You must be careful.

I'm good at

being a thief.

Besides,

I have this.

Didn't you say

you lost your rouge?

I happened to pass by a rouge shop today,

so I picked one for you.

You still remember that?

How could I forget anything about you?

Were you hurt?

Here.

Is it serious?

And here.

It hurts here too.

Stop pretending.

Thank you for your help

so that I can clear my name

and be restored to my position in Taizhou.

Thank you, everyone.

You are welcome, Lord Chen.

We were deceived by Duke Su

and framed you.

It's our biggest wish

to clear your name as witnesses.

I invited you here today

because I have a request.

Go ahead, Lord Chen.

Under the order of His Majesty, I came back to Taizhou

to destroy the Moon Star Herb

and bring the people back to farming.

But the Moon Star Herb

is a drug that is consumed by ignition.

The amount of the Moon Star Herb we have seized

is so huge

that the poisonous gas it will release by the incineration

can harm all the people of Taizhou.

I wonder if there is

a better way to destroy it.

Lord Chen.

I have an idea. It might work.

Freeze!

Rong?

Are you here for Xu Muchen?

Also for the people of the Jing State.

I heard he became a general

and would wage a battle against me.

You know what?

He has no chance to win.

I will be the winner

this time.

Jinning.

Stop it.

Stop it?

Do you know what I have experienced

to become who I am now?

I risked my life to steal the map.

But my sister still died.

Zhen?

Is Zhen dead?

The Moon Star Herb was destroyed.

The people of the Yue State vented their anger on her.

Then why are you still helping them?

Why?

Because I'm from the Yue State.

Only by destroying Jing

can I have a stable life

and have you

by my side again.

Jinning.

The war won't heal

the wounds in your heart.

It will only claim more lives.

Zhen wouldn't want

to see you like this if she were alive.

Do you want to see

the streets we used to play on

be trodden by horses

and turned into ashes in the war?

Or do you want to see Erxi and his friends

die young?

Stop it.

I must wage

this battle.

The Yue State is your home.

What about the Jing State?

You were born and raised in Jing.

Don't you have a sense of belonging to this country?

No.

Not at all.

I don't have any sense of belonging to it.

Not at all.

General.

How should we

deal with the spy of the Jing State?

Let her go.

General.

Let her go?

If we let her go...

I'm the general here.

I have the final say.

Let her go.

Yes.

Are we really going to let her go?

Of course not.

What if the general blames us?

What kind of general is he?

If it weren't for the map,

how would His Majesty give him

the title of General?

Once we capture Jing,

I'll get rid of him first.

That's right.

You are the real general of Yue.

Su Jinning was born and grew up in Jing.

It's impossible for him

to be truly loyal to Yue.

General,

this spy...

Go kill her.

I'll keep an eye on Su Jinning.

Yes, sir.

Be quick.

Yes, sir.

Get out of here now.

I can't let you die here.

I'm not leaving.

I can't go anywhere

until I get the tiger tally.

Kill Su Jinning

once he releases the spy.

Take it and go.

If you give it to me,

you will be in danger.

I'm fine. Don't worry about me.

Su Jinning.

You colluded with the enemy and betrayed our country.

Guards!

Kill them!

Rong.

Rong.

Follow me closely.

Rong.

Leave now.

Let's go together.

Rong.

I don't have a home anymore.

You must live a good life.

Leave now.

Here you are.

[Timely wine]

Hold it tight.

Rong.

Here are some desserts I bought for you.

Thank you, Jinning.

Have some.

Rong.

Jinning, stop teasing me.

Stop!

Rong.

Wait for me.

Rong.

I want this.

Okay.

Thank you.

Slow down.

Thank you.

I want another one.

Delicious.

I want one more.

Look how slim you are. I'll give you two more.

I want one more.

Jinning

died in the camp of Yue

to cover me.

My Lord, you are indeed amazing.

Without the commander-in-chief and the tiger tally,

the Yue troops were out of control.

We fought a great battle.

My Lord.

Why hasn't Young Madam woken up?

She is too tired.

When she gets well,

we'll return to the capital.

I'll prepare for it.

Senior.

Will there be any problem

if the herbs are burned like this?

Don't worry.

I've processed the Moon Star Herbs

with medicine.

Even if it's burnt, there won't be poisonous gas

harming the people.

Everyone.

All the Moon Star Herbs in Taizhou

are gathered here.

The Moon Star Herb is extremely poisonous.

It caused a disaster.

The imperial court has ordered to investigate the case thoroughly.

From today on,

there won't be a blade of Moon Star Herb

in our land.

Bravo! Bravo!

Good job.

Light the fire.

Great job.

Master, what a great job!

[Respect the wise and intelligent]

Welcome.

Sorry for

not picking you up in person.

Uncle. Lord Gu.

Muchen.

His Majesty is very happy

that you led troops

to repel the Yue State.

I am here

to bring His Majesty's oral instruction.

It's as follows.

The battle in Taizhou has been settled.

The Yue State retreated to seek peace.

Xu Muchen has done a great service.

He is promoted to the fourth rank

and given a hundred taels of gold

since he has been a model example for all soldiers.

I

accept the decree and thank His Majesty for the award.

Thank you, Uncle Liu.

Nephew.

Here's one more thing.

Muchen.

I don't know

how to tell you this.

His Majesty

has known Liu Rong's real identity.

What did His Majesty say?

His Majesty said

as the Governor of the Zichen Department,

you knew

Liu Rong was Willow Leaf Thief Liu.

But you didn't report it.

Fortunately, you did a great job.

You can be pardoned.

But Rong

is guilty.

I'll take full responsibility.

I can give up

my position and rewards.

Could you please ask a favor of His Majesty

to spare my wife?

Muchen.

It's not up to me

alone.

You have no idea

how furious His Majesty was at that time.

Lord Gu.

Lord Liu.

My husband didn't know who I was back then.

I'll take full responsibility.

No.

Lord Liu.

How is it?

Am I right?

They

can't live without each other.

Alright.

Stop arguing.

You have already

been punished.

What do you mean?

His Majesty said

Liu Rong

contributed a lot

for taking a risk to enter the Yue camp and steal the tiger tally,

but she had to suffer

a little.

He asked me

to scare you two

and tell Rong

not to steal anymore.

Gu.

Why does it sound like you're the one who suggested it?

Yes.

I did give some suggestions,

but it was His Majesty who had the final say.

Rong.

Can I have a word with you?

This is a golden Willow Leaf Dart

bestowed by His Majesty.

Don't be a thief anymore.

Thank His Majesty.

Thank you, Lord Liu.

As long as there are no corrupt officials in the court,

there will be no Willow Leaf Thief Liu in the world.

Rong.

It's Xu Muchen's luck

to have you as his wife.

Lord Liu.

Here's one more thing.

Although my master and seniors

made a mistake,

they contributed a lot

to the settlement of the Moon Star Herb case.

I wonder if they can redeem themselves

by investigating in Taizhou.

That's a good idea.

But

we need to ask if Lord Gu will agree.

It's approved.

You haven't asked the Ministry of Justice.

What is the Ministry of Justice?

I've been promoted.

You must be tired.

Come in and have some tea.

Okay. Thank you.

-Please come in. -Please. Please.

Please.

[Wedding]

[Wedding]

First bow to heaven and earth.

[Live with integrity and purity]

[Wedding]

Bow to each other.

Send the bride to the bridal chamber.

All right, everyone.

Let's go to the banquet.

Okay.

[Live with integrity and purity]

Let's go.

Old Madam.

Please.

Okay.

[Wedding]

Congratulations on your wedding, Young Master and Young Madam.

Wish you a happy life.

Wish Young Master and Young Madam

a harmonious life

with your baby.

Wish you longevity.

It's a wedding, not a birthday party!

Hope you can stay with each other forever.

Hope you can stay with each other forever.

Xu Muchen.

Treat Rong well.

Otherwise, I won't forgive you.

Don't worry.

Xu Muchen.

Come out of the room after you lift Rong's veil.

I want to drink with you.

You know nothing but drinking.

They have been waiting for this day for a long time.

Let Muchen in.

OK. OK.

Yes, Young Master. Please enter the room.

Yes, Young Master.

Go in now.

Old Madam is looking forward to it.

So sweet.

Hurry up. Hurry up.

Let's go.

Let's go.

I stole

your bride.

Willow Leaf Thief Liu.
