Kang

The assassins have come as expected tonight

l knew they'd definitely be here

Yang Kang we just want to know where Miss Mu is

She's not here

- Then let us search around - Alright, suit yourself

- Xiruo - Tiexin

Xiruo, let's go

- Alright - Come

What's wrong?

lt's not going to work

Why not?

Although Kang-er is a disappointment but he's still our son

lf we leave like that l'm afraid that we'll never see him again

That scumbag is capable of anything He doesn't even want to acknowledge us

Kang-er's probably like this

because l didn't discipline him properly

How can l just watch him go from bad to worse?

But there isn't time

- Are we just going to give up like that? - Tiexin, you go ahead first

l'll bring Kang-er to see you before tomorrow

Mother

- What is it? - Mother

Just as well

l'll take this opportunity to talk things out with him

No, not now

l'm afraid he might kill you You'd better hide first

- Mother, are you alright? - Yes

You're too nice to that brute!

- Don't come out... - Mother, open the door

Kang-er, what is it?

What's wrong?

Nothing

There was an intruder

l came to see if you were alright

l am fine. No one has been here

That's good to know

Mother, you must be careful

Kang-er

Scoundrel, just kill me!

Kang-er, don't do anything foolish! He's your father

Let him do whatever he wants. He's inhuman!

Stop talking! Leave quickly!

l'm his father. Can't l lecture him?

Scold me if you want to

l'm not just going to scold you l'm going to beat you too!

Don't beat him

Go ahead and beat me

l know that l've done wrong

Kang-er, if you know that you've done wrong then leave with us...

lf we leave like this, we'll be doomed

lf you're willing to come with us we're not afraid of anything

Kang

- Your Highness... - Come with me

Get on the boat, quickly!

Take care of yourselves

You're not leaving with us?

Kang-er, why?

Kang-er

You're not leaving with us because

- you want a life of luxury? - Yes

l don't want to suffer

To each his own

l don't want to live in fear of getting killed every single day

Kang-er, you...

Kang-er

Mother

l can only repay you

for your love and care in my next life

You should go now

Xiruo, let's go

Kang-er

- Kang-er - Xiruo, forget it

- Mother - Kang-er

Xiruo

You people have always claimed that you are highly skilled

But you're all useless!

l don't care what methods you use

Whatever it takes you must bring the royal concubine back!

Yes

- Your Highness - You don't have to go

l've already sent my mother out of the city

You won't ever see her again

What did you say?

Forget it

lf this continues

you'll drive mother to her grave

Your highness

- Get out... - Yes

Kang

Kang

l was too upset just now

Forget it

Now l know that to love a person means loving all her relatives

Since mother has already left

l won't be staying either

l don't want to wait for you to chase me away

Kang

You said you'd help me persuade your mother to stay

So why did you do this?

That's right

l can help you to make her stay

But her heart won't be here

What are you saying?

Ever since l lied to her about my real father's death

she has been weeping non-stop

l thought that we could keep her here happily

But it turned out to be the opposite

Can you bear to see my mother grieve herself to death?

lf you have her interests at heart

then you should never seek her out again

Kang, don't go

lf you leave, l'll have nothing left

You have money, power and position

l'm the one who has nothing, not you

Do you still remember?

l promised you before

As long as you are my son

everything that l have belongs to you

Xiruo, just take it that you never had a son like him

That's right, Aunt Yang

You've not seen each other for 18 years Now you're finally reunited

You should be happy

- Where's Miss Mu? - Yes, where is she?

Miss Mu

Nianci

Your Highness

Xiruo will be with us from now on

Greet your new mother

Mother

Nianci, where have you been?

l wanted to get Yang Kang drunk

so that you could save mother, but...

l'll tell you the truth now

We have severed all ties with Yang Kang

Don't ever see him again

Forget it, Uncle Yang

They know that we're here We can't stay long

That's right. We should be leaving too

- Stop it - Beat him to death...

No... Stop...

- Thank you, sir - Don't mention it

Thank you, sir

Duan Tiande

Fate has delivered you into my hands

l've been looking for you for 18 years

And now l've finally found you

Please don't kill me

lt must be the spirits of Brother Guo and Brother Yang

- who have led me to claim your life - Please don't kill me

You must be tired You should go back and take a rest

l'll kill you tonight

Stop!

lf Aunt Yang knew about this she wouldn't be happy at all

We always eat vegetables and tofu There isn't even any salted fish

l can't even step on a cockroach or shoot a bird. lt's so suffocating

Don't say that She won't be happy if she hears it

Actually, vegetables and tofu are tasty too

See how happy Uncle Yang is when he's eating them

When he sees Aunt Yang

he'll be happy even if he's not eating

Why don't we go into the city and eat something nice?

The city?

l have to help Uncle Yang with the farming, l can't go

You're saying no to everything

Do you want me to die of boredom

so you can go back to Mongolia to be the Prince Consort?

Rong-er

Don't be angry

Alright, l'll listen to you

Take care, Uncle Yang

You too

Here are the buns

Sir...

Please give me some water, sir

You want water?

Rong-er, my teachers said that

we shouldn't offend monks and Taoists

What's there to be afraid of?

Brother Jing, let's see if there's anything nice to eat

Sir, please give me something to eat

Don't bother

My father says l should do whatever l want

Waiter

- Get me some buns - Yes

- Eat it - Don't be a busybody

Take him away

- Hurry, go! - Hold it

Take me to him, quick!

Uncle Yang...

What is it?

Rong-er

Taoist Qiu

Brother Yang

Kneel!

Jing

You can now avenge your father's death

- No... Please have mercy! - You deserve it

- l can avenge my father's death now - Please have mercy, no...

Nianci, help your mother to go into the house first

Mrs Yang, help...

You won't even hurt an ant

- How can you let me be killed? - How dare you!

- Mrs Yang, save me... - Tiexin

Jing, avenge your father's death now

- Taoist Qiu - Quit babbling

Listen to me...

l killed Guo Xiaotian. l do deserve to die

But there's a mastermind who deserves to die too

Stop babbling! lt's fate that you met us today

No! Even if you kill me and let that mastermind off

you will not have avenged your father's death, right?

Who is the mastermind? Tell us now!

- l can tell you - Don't listen to him

- He's just afraid to die. Do it! - No...

lf l tell you, will you let me off?

Alright, tell us

But if there are any untruths l'll kill you right away

Alright, l'll tell you

lt's the man Mrs Yang has been looking after

The Sixth Prince of Jin, Wanyan Honglie

Nonsense... How can it be him?

lt's true, l'm telling you the truth

Aside from me, there was another man

who was going after your families at that time. He's General Jin Bilie

He's one of Wanyan Honglie's men

But he has no grudge against the Guo and Yang families

Who would he do such a thing?

lt was because you were so kind as to save him

He wanted to have you so he destroyed your family

When you had nowhere to go he came to save you

Xiruo, when did you save that Jin scoundrel?

lt's true. He even spent a night in your house. lt's the truth

ls that true? Xiruo, you...

- Xiruo - Mother...

- Let go of me... - Xiruo...

- Let go of me, let me kill myself - Xiruo...

Let go of me

What's the use of dying now?

Even if you die will Guo Jing's father come back to life?

lf you are already feeling ashamed

will you be able to face him when you see him in the nether world?

Father

Father, where's Duan Tiande?

After him

Mother

Xiruo

Don't disturb her, let her rest

Uncle Yang

Where's that scoundrel?

He disappeared after he jumped into the river

That's enough, it's all her fault

Her softhearted nature has caused all this to happen

Not only have you caused harm to your own family

you've also caused the death of Guo Jing's father

Mrs Yang didn't expect this to happen either Wanyan Honglie is truly vicious

Alright, l'm not a busybody

l don't care if you remarried

But that day, l told you personally to discipline Yang Kang well. Did you do that?

Yang Kang is no different from a beast right now

Have you done your duty as a mother?

Have you finished?

You haven't stopped talking since you came in

Are you trying to drive her to her grave?

Why don't you just stab her to death? Then you won't have to say so much

Alright, Jing

l'm going to the palace to settle it with Wanyan Honglie

lf you want to avenge your father's death then come with me

Brother Jing

Father

Why aren't you asleep yet?

And yourself?

Father, it's your birthday on the 3rd of next month

l'll get some beautiful courtesans

and acrobats to perform for you

No need for that. l've decided not to celebrate my birthday this year

Father

Mother has already been gone for so long

Don't mention her

Do whatever you want

That was the Thunder Mine You haven't seen it before, have you?

However highly skilled you are you will get blown up if you touch it

On the 3rd of next month

Yang Kang will be holding a birthday celebration for that scoundrel

l plan to strike on that day

But Yang Kang will definitely be by Wanyan Honglie's side that day

He might get hurt too

lt can't be helped

That scoundrel

He's disloyal, unfilial, heartless and has no morals

He covets wealth and acknowledges a thief as his father

Don't bother about him

l'm glad to hear that

We'll strike on that day

Father

Mother has finally started eating

What else are you worried about?

Uncle Yang, is there something on your mind?

Tell me. You'll feel better

Miss Mu, don't go

What is it?

Honestly, do you want Yang Kang to die?

What's going on?

Your Highness, we've brought the person

- Let her in and leave - Yes

What is this?

lt's a diagram showing where all the Jin troops are stationed

l just stole it from the Ninth Prince

Why were you looking for me?

My father and your mother have decided to go live in Linan

That's good

Then mother can live the rest of her days happily

But l'll be all alone

And l'll be misunderstood by everyone

But for the sake of my country and my people

no matter how great the sacrifice is it's still worth it

Kang

lt's late, you should go back

l'll see you off

Nianci

Go on out yourself, l'm going back

- Kang - What else is it?

After this parting

l don't know when l'll ever see you again

Don't worry

l'll go look for you in Linan whenever l can

l wish to see you again

Perhaps it'll be for the last time

l'll wait for you at the old temple tomorrow

Tomorrow?

l'll be waiting

lf you don't turn up, l'll keep waiting

You must come

Your Highness

The moon is shining...

Why did you let her go so easily? What a pity!

lf l weren't afraid of Yang Tiexin and the rest of them

l would've killed her with a single blow

How can you say that?

You've always liked Mu Nianci

Please don't say that

l've got nothing to do with her at all

Then you can heave a sigh of relief after tomorrow

Tomorrow? l won't be going

l'll stay here with my father

You can't do that! She said she was going to wait for you

She won't leave until she sees you

Why isn't the prince here yet?

Xiruo

Why don't you sleep for a while longer?

l want to look presentable

lf l put in some effort

don't l still look good?

Yes

Uncle Yang, we...

Xiruo, l'm going out with Jing to buy some things. We'll be back soon

So you're still here, father

Why didn't l think of that?

Leave me alone, go out and drink

Father, l...

l didn't want to disappoint you before

Did you think l'd be in the mood to enjoy the performances?

Kang, go entertain Master Lingzhi and the rest of them for me

Father, l'm celebrating your birthday for you

Father

l have to say this even if you don't want to hear it

Father, you hold an important position

Why let a relationship ruin your grand plans for the country?

Father, your priority should be your country

Helping the emperor

to unite the country and accomplish great things

That's what a man should do

Father

Cheers...

Here...

Cheers

- Cheers - Drink up

Cheers

Miss Mu

l'm here

Where are you?

Good, you'll be rewarded with 10 taels of gold

Thank you, your highness...

A fireball performance...

Where are you going?

Don't you recognise me?

Little prince

Fools!

Over there

Snatch her fireball

Let's go

Thunder Mine

Thunder Mine
