Yes

Teacher, he's a friend of mine

Kang-er

- Taoist - He is unworthy of your company

Why be so stubborn? We're friends because we think alike

lf Kang-er's character is like yours l'd rather disable him

Your teacher had gone too far

- and make things hard for me - Alright

l didn't think you were such a flirt Your Highness

- You're mistaken, Brother Ouyang - lt's no mistake

lt's natural to pursue a pretty young lady

There's no need to hide these things

Don't worry, Your Highness l will keep your secret

Don't bring this up again

Just when l was about to succeed it all goes back to nothing

So you haven't succeeded?

You should have told me

My skills at handling women are just as good as my martial arts skills

Your Highness, the Prince has returned

Father

- Father - Kang-er

Father

- Kang-er, you've grown so much - Are you tired, father?

Where's your mother?

- She... - ls she in the old house again?

- Father, servants will fetch her - No, l'll go see her myself

Come, look at what l brought back for you

This is a camel fur hat from desert plains

lt was made from the camel of the leader of Sangman Clan

Thank you, father

Father, did you claim many lands this time?

The pugilists l've invited are all here Are they alright?

Most of them have arrived

Some of them, like Liang Ziwong wish to live here

lt's okay. Tell them l will throw a banquet for them tonight

Yes, father

- Cheers - Cheers

Everyone's here Why didn't you wait for this old man?

- lt's Mr Liang, please take a seat - Thank you, Your Highness

Mr Liang, there's an empty seat beside me

You can sit with me if you don't mind

lt's alright. Master Peng is alone as well

l'll sit with him

l'm afraid l may not be able to stand the stench of herbs on you

l've been eating the best medicinal herbs in the world

Giving you a free whiff is a bonus for you

We share similar interests here Let's be more forgiving. Men!

Serve Mr Liang some wine

There's no need

l've my own Thousand-year-old ginseng wine from Changbai Mountain

l'll be fine with this

l propose a toast to everyone

Cheers

Your Highness, have a taste of my wine

Great skills...

l know all of you here are highly skilled

Yes, father has invited you all here to discuss important matters

We should all get along

Come, let's have another toast

Thank you, Your Highness

Xiruo

Xiruo

Xiruo

- Your Highness - Where is my wife?

My Lady, the Prince is here

- Your Highness, you're drunk again - Xiruo

l knew you'd be drunk so l've prepared some detoxification soup

Go get some for the Prince

Xiruo, you're so good to me

But why do you come here all the time?

l've treated you so well these 18 years Can't you forget the past?

You've had too much to drink today

No, l'm not drunk

Yes, you are

l wish l was really drunk

Your Highness, drink the soup

- Are you feeling better? - Yes l am

Have an early night's rest

And you?

l'm staying here tonight

Today is his death anniversary

Xiruo

l've been so good to you for 18 years and you still love him?

You keep cleaning this spear over and again

Don't you know l am your husband now?

Your Highness

Xiruo

For 18 years, l've never forced you

Do you know why?

l do

Although l saved you once you don't have to do so much for me

That's right

l've done enough to repay your kindness in saving me

But the real reason is that l like you too much

l really like you too much

l see

Then all the more you should not be like this tonight

Xiruo

l'm leaving town tomorrow

Can't you just

keep me company?

Don't destroy it. l will never forgive you

l'm sorry, Your Highness

Guo Jing

Your character is excellent but your talent...

Taoist Wang, my six teachers had to work very hard to train me

- Take a rest, l'll carry on myself - Very well, work hard

- Brother Yang - Taoist Wang

ls my nephew hard to train?

He has a good heart

lt's a pity he can't think on his feet very well

- l hope you can train him patiently - For sure

Taoist Wang our Young Master requests audience

- Who might that be? - Little Prince, Wanyan Kang

Nianci, go inside

Go on

- Fifth Uncle - Wanyan Kang

What is the purpose of sending gifts?

Fifth Uncle, it's to seek forgiveness for my offence that day

The person you offended wasn't me but this gentleman here

Apologise immediately

Uncle Mu

l can't accept

You must apologise to him first

or you won't be able to marry Miss Mu

- You are... - l'm Guo Jing

- l saw you that day - Yes

These snacks are for Miss Mu Please pass them to her for me

Alright

Are you giving up already, Wanyan Kang?

- Fifth Uncle - Forget it

Since he has rejected you, you should leave

Yes?

l've not welcomed Uncle properly

How about a banquet in your honour tomorrow evening at my place?

Well...

Please grant me this honour. Otherwise...

Teacher may blame me for not being a good host to Uncle. l will be in trouble then

Very well

What's wrong?

Brother Guo

Please return these to him l can't accept them

Why not?

l don't want to see him again

Do you still blame him?

He came because he really likes you

Maybe what he did before was not of his own free will

Come on. These are gifts from him Have a taste

l've no appetite

l don't know why father hates him so much

Miss Mu, l know how you feel

Let me help you?

Help me?

l'll bring a letter from you to Wanyan Kang

- But, my father... - l'll help you to keep it from him

Little Prince, a young lad passed over this letter for you

Meet you at the local god temple in the evening

Uncle Yang, a toast to you

Alright, we'll return to the inn after a few more drinks

So early?

lt's getting late. Nianci is waiting for us

She won't be back so early

What?

- Uncle Yang, let's drink - Tell me, where did she go?

She... She's gone out

So you're here to distract me

Uncle Yang, please don't blame me

Tell me, did that Wanyan fellow ask her out?

No! Miss Mu was the one to ask him out

Jing, you're too honest Tell me where they are

- Nianci - Don't be mistaken

My purpose today is to clarify things with you

Why did you say all those things on the stage?

Nianci, l...

lf you don't care for me you should not have competed

and furthermore, you insulted me

Nianci, if l don't care for you

l would not have braved your father's wrath to look for you

Then, why?

l have my reasons

You know of my social status

lf father knows l want to marry a Han girl

he'll kill me

So, l was forced to lie

Really?

Did you know that l was scolded severely by my mother?

Nianci

Don't you believe me?

Nianci

- Father - You bad girl, get lost

Uncle Mu

You scoundrel, l'll kill you

Father, how do you feel?

Why did you hurt my father?

Uncle Yang, are you alright?

Jing, kill him for me

Father

Father...

Open the door, father. Let me out

Great skills indeed

Little Prince, your Jiuyin Baigu Claw is really something

- That wasn't it - lt wasn't?

Your Highness, you don't have to deny it

Very well

l won't hide it from you since you already know

What happened was

Mei Chaofeng often trains in a cave nearby

l came across it accidentally

l agreed to find food for her So she taught me this skill

l see

l must congratulate Your Highness then

lt is a gift to be able to receive a skill of this level

You must remember

Nobody else must hear about this

Don't worry, Your Highness l will keep the secret

Didn't you say you were going to meet Miss Mu?

Why are you back so soon?

Don't bring that up. l almost had her

But that old man turned up

They don't know what they're up against

Your Highness, l don't think you need to be so polite with them

- What do you mean? - Just capture Miss Mu

l've considered it

But Wang Chuyi and Guo Jing are often by her side

Guo Jing?

lsn't he a 18 years old boy who seems a little silly?

Do you know him?

l've been looking all over for him l finally find him now

Why?

Don't you know, Your Highness?

Your father has set a heavy reward to bring him Guo Jing's head

- Why does father want him dead? - l'm not sure

But if we kill Guo Jing your father will be very happy

Your Highness, l have a plan to kill two birds with one stone

What is it?

Didn't you ask Guo Jing and Wang Chuyi to come by?

When they're here. We can gather the pugilists and kill Guo Jing

And since Wang Chuyi is not there with Mu Nianci

we can capture her with ease

This is a good plan

But if l kill Guo Jing Wang Chuyi will surely tell my Teacher

So we have to kill Wang Chuyi as well

Everyone, for troubling all of you today

l shall thank you all in advance

Don't stand on ceremony, Your Highness

To serve you is to serve the Prince

- Very well, please take a seat - Taoist Wang is here

Welcome, Fifth Uncle

You...

lt's been awhile, Guo Jing. How are you?

Guo Jing

Do you know them?

They're bad people They've attacked me before

Master Ouyang, please take a seat

- Fifth Uncle, please take a seat - Sure

Wanyan Kang why have you invited these people?

Taoist Wang

We are all guests here

We have every right to be here

lt's just that l can't understand

why so many heroes are willing to serve villains because of money

Men, serve the food

Wanyan Kang

l am not here to accept your welcome or well wishes

l'm here because of Miss Mu

Fifth Uncle let's not talk about this for now

Let's drink

Yes, Taoist Wang. Let's drink

Guo Jing, if anything happens don't bother about me

Make your escape alone, understand?

Fifth Uncle, if l've not been a good host please forgive me

Since you've agreed to marry Miss Mu l won't blame you

Regarding your teacher l will put in good words for you

Thank you, Uncle

Guo Jing, we should take our leave

Hold on

What does this gentleman want?

You can go, but not this lad

We came together and will leave together as well

He can't leave

because he has once injured my 3 disciples

Besides, the Prince wants his head

That's right, he was the one who sabotaged our battle in Mongolia

How can you blame others for your own evil intentions?

That's right

Three of them were involved in planning an ambush on Genghis Khan

You will be heavily rewarded for capturing him

Wanyan Kang, you...

Since he is wanted by my father

- l should be filial and catch him - lndeed

As l predicted, you've planned this all along to kill the both of us

lt's no wonder he agreed to the marriage so quickly

- Guo Jing, get out of here - But...

Go!

Taoist Wang

How despicable of you to use underhand methods

- Are you alright? - Yes

You've been poisoned by my strike You won't live past the next morning

- Your Highness - Your Highness

lt's you

Uncle Mu

Nianci

- Did my men scare you? - Why are you doing this?

l just want to see you both to explain everything to you

Do you have to lock us up to talk to us?

Uncle, you know your own temper is terrible

Would you have come willingly?

Stop the nonsense. What do you want?

l wish to discuss our marriage with you

We are of mismatched social status

How can royalty marry a common girl?

l didn't say l'd marry you

Nianci, it's not that l don't want to marry you

But my social status does not allow me to

Even if my father allows it the Emperor will not

Then you should not have competed in the arena

- This is an obvious insult - Nianci

Don't you understand how l feel?

lf l didn't do that

l would have to watch you marry some other man

Don't worry, my daughter will not marry just any man who comes along

Uncle, l will marry your daughter

But you must keep this a secret

When the time is ripe

l will ask my father to approve of our marriage

That's ridiculous What if he doesn't agree to it?

What will happen to my daughter then?

lf my feelings for Nianci are true

why bother so much about a social tag?

After them

What's going on?

Where's Kang-er?

l have my reasons

l won't treat you badly no matter what

Why don't you take some time to consider my proposal?

l can give you an answer right now

Even if you want to marry my daughter officially as your Lady

instead of asking her to follow you without status or recognition

l will never agree to it

You're a scoundrel with no morals

Your words can only deceive young innocent girls

You can't fool me

Motherless scoundrel

What did you say? Motherless scoundrel?

lsn't that so?

With a son like that your mother must be terrible as well

- Why did you hit my father? - Go away

Your Highness

- My Lady wants to see you - What is it regarding?

- Watch them - Yes sir

Are you alright, father?

How are you feeling?

- Yes, mother? - Kneel!

- Mother - Kneel down!

What have l taught you?

How can you do such evil thing?

- Mother, l don't understand - Stop pretending

How can you capture a father and his daughter for no reason?

Don't look at him. l made him tell me

To think that you'd lust after women and bully the weak at your age!

Mother, you've got it all wrong Those 2 people are criminals

They sneaked into the palace and tried to assassinate the emperor

l was just following father's orders to capture them

Nonsense!

There're so many skilled experts to capture them. Why do they need you?

lt's true You can ask father when he comes back

Stay here on your knees

- Chunxiang, keep an eye on him - Yes, my Lady

Take me to the prison

Mother, those are convicts You can't go and see them

Mother

- Your Highness, you mustn't leave - lt's none of your business

Father, are you alright?

lf you still consider me your father

you must never contact that beast again
