Episode 10

Are you monitoring them?

I have no reason to monitor them.

It's time to start our second plan.

Don't worry. My government has made its move already.

By tomorrow morning, all these bastards in South Korea will shake in fear.

Is it true that North Korea is conducting a nuclear test?

Is it true that it'll be much bigger in scale than the previous ones?

- Do you know when it'll happen? - Please comment!

Why are they conducting a nuclear test all of a sudden?

Mr. Prime Minister.

What happened?

I'm not sure either.

In order to ensure the sovereignty and security of our dear republic

we're preparing to launch a big bomb that has never been seen before!

This nuclear test will embolden the spirit of our people

in the struggle of building a strong nation together!

The president is on the line, Mr. Prime Minister.

This is Jang Seok Joo.

What's going on? Why are they conducting a nuclear test all of the sudden?

I'm sorry sir. This isn't something I was expecting either.

Come see me right now.

Yes, sir. I'll be there after the cabinet meeting.

Come see me now!

We were talking about having a summit and now they're testing nuclear bombs?

How dare they to threaten us with such a cheap trick?

I guess the North Koreans are really in a hurry. I've never seen them move so fast.

Why?

I thought it wasn't going to be bigger than a missile launch.

If they're going to threaten us anyway, might as well do it boldly.

I'm afraid it'll cause unnecessary tension.

What if something like what happened 20 years ago happens again?

You have nothing to worry about.

North Korea conducted nuclear tests many times before, and America didn't do anything.

It'll die down after causing some noise.

North Korea's announcement of nuclear test has caused the stock market to tumble.

But to most citizens of South Korea, it's business as usual.

No instance of hoarding groceries has been reported so far

which draws a big contrast to politicians who are nervous about the situation.

Some pundits are commenting that the widespread lack of security awareness is worrysome.

It tastes so good when you eat it with dried seaweed.

It's delicious.

No.

My dear doctor, Comrade Park Hoon.

Goodbye.

Jae Hee!

Jae Hee!

Jae Hee!

Jae Hee!

What's wrong?

Nothing.

Put me down!

Just hold on.

When did you realize it?

When I saw you for the first time.

Really?

Where should we go?

I'll drop you off at the hospital.

Hospital?

You should go. You must.

I guess people will think that you're Jae Hee if I don't show up anymore.

I'm sorry, Hoon.

Moon Hyung Wook speaking.

Hey, Hoon!

Okay. So you'll come in later?

I was operating until the wee hours of the morning.

Fine, fine. I'll give you a special pass today.

But there'll be a party later today. So you must come in the afternoon!

Yes, see you later. Okay!

Satisfied?

Let's go.

Where?

Wherever.

Okay. Wherever.

[Hoon Jae Hee]

Okay.

Why aren't you asking?

What?

Why I'm Han Seung Hee, not Song Jae Hee. And why I'm here.

Do you want to tell me?

I think I should.

Those things don't matter at all.

But they matter to me.

What matters the most to me is that you're here with me.

Hoon...

I need to you come with me.

Get in.

Are we going to the hospital?

Don't ask. Just get in.

Don't worry.

Hey, it's me.

Yes, it's me. Please make sure that everything is fine, okay?

Don't worry about how much it'll cost.

What are you doing here?

This was my room originally.

I don't like the layout of this room. So I've been thinking about making some changes.

This is my room. Please leave.

I guess it's still your room.

There will be a departmental dinner tonight. Why don't you join us?

I heard you'll be going to the branch hospital.

It'll be my duty as your senior to send you off in a proper manner.

See you later.

- Any message for me? - None, sir.

The Chairman is not in.

There is a reason why I told you to not come in here!

Get out!

I won't make up excuses.

I don't want to hear them either.

You said it'll be a simple procedure! Then why did he fall into coma?

We tried our best, ma'am.

What happened during the surgery?

I apologize, ma'am.

It was already too late when he got here.

He walked into this hospital by himself when he got here!

Tell me something!

We have tried our best.

Let's go in.

Bring my dad back. Bring him back!

Bring my dad back to life!

Bring my dad back to life!

Bring my dad back to life!

I lost this time.

This time?

There's no next time. Didn't you know that?

You can make it happen, Mr. Chairman.

It was my decision to do this in one surgery. Are you saying that I should renege on my word?

You must. It's not the right time to care about your pride.

Dr. Han!

If you want me to stay here, you must make another chance for me.

Are you threatening me?

Are you going to hand off the future of Myung Woo to a person like Park Hoon?

I don't want to hand it to a punk like you either.

I instructed them to make a position for you in the branch hospital.

I don't care if you quit or not!

Stop acting like a clown and follow me.

Where are you going?

Do you think Dr. Han will stay at Myung Woo if he gets sent down to the branch hospital?

Of course he'll quit.

That can't happen. We must convince the Chairman to let Dr. Han stay.

Why?

Myung Woo needs someone like Dr. Han.

We don't need him!

And you, Hyung Wook.

You shouldn't be too harsh on someone who is many years your junior!

I don't care for a person like him. I'm scared of him!

Follow me.

That guy.

Don't worry.

Father is just angry right now. He won't send you to the branch hospital.

I don't need your consolation. I have no intention of going to the branch hospital.

It wouldn't be too bad if you think of it as a break from here.

I'm not going anywhere. My seat is here.

Jae Joon...

Ever since I decided to do something, I've never imagined myself anywhere but here.

Do you know why?

Because there is something I must do here.

I know you want to make Myung Woo the best hospital in the world.

But...

The best...

I'll have to tear it down.

I built that castle just so I can tear it down.

Yes. I wanted to make this hospital the best in the world.

But everything became weird once Park Hoon came into the picture.

You know this isn't because of Dr. Park!

And even you went to him. That destroyed me.

Jae Joon...

Why?

You wanted to move to the Strategy Office.

Why do you want to impersonate a doctor all of a sudden?

Impersonate a doctor?

Jae Joon...

Why did you stand in as his first member?

There wasn't anyone else who could do it other than me. How could he operate without a first member?

So you wanted to save the baby? Don't be ridiculous.

You wanted to show it to me. Because I went with Dr. Keum.

"I can do it too!"

Isn't that the reason why you went to him?

And what's wrong with that?

What do you think makes it okay?

I lost because of such a stupid reason.

I lost to some random stranger!

How is that okay?

Now I know why you lost.

I'm very well aware of that too. So get out.

You lost because you tried too hard to win.

Do you think that makes sense?

It was just a surgery to save the babies. But you approached it like a game...

No, you approached it only to win it. That's why you lost.

You're the one who impersonated as a doctor. Not me.

That's why you were beaten by a real doctor.

Park Hoon is the real doctor who defeated you, the fake doctor!

Understood?

[Garbage]

At least Dr. Keum won't go to the Water Bottle to learn.

Why do you want to impersonate a doctor all of a sudden?

I'm sorry.

Why don't you pick up your phone?

Father wants to see us...

Stop right there!

Dr. Park?

Are you here, Dr. Park?

Thanks for everything so far, Chang Yi. Goodbye.

That bastard!

Hey, Park Hoon!

- Hoon! - Chang Yi...

Have you seen Hoon?

Did something happen?

He's driving me crazy! Where in the world is he going?

Going where?

Why are we here?

I'm not curious why you're in South Korea.

But I know it's something dangerous.

Hoon...

And I know you can't avoid it in South Korea.

Are you...

I'll protect you.

Hoon!

I once smuggled myself out of here before.

I called this morning, and they said there is a freighter leaving right now.

We can't do this, Hoon. We must go back.

Why?

We can never escape.

Trust me. I'll protect you.

Hoon...

Don't worry. I asked a trustworthy person.

Dr. Park!

- Mister. - Long time no see.

Is she the girl?

How about the ship?

Everything is taken care of. Let's go, the ship's leaving soon.

No, Hoon.

Look at me, Jae Hee.

Let's go.

Why is he not picking up his phone?

I told him to come in the afternoon! This is driving me crazy!

What is it?

Have you seen Dr. Han?

Why are you looking for Dr. Han here?

She belongs to this team.

I don't know. The only thing I care right now is the party.

Where could she be? She's not answering her phone either.

She's not answering either?

Park Hoon has disappeared, Mr. Prime Minister.

Disappear?

How about Han Seung Hee?

I think they're together.

I wonder if they'll be able to escape safely.

Run! Run away!

Hey, Park Hoon!

Long time no see.

Cha Jin Soo...

Do you want to leave?

I'll grant your wish.

Why do you look so uncomfortable? It'll just be a dinner.

I'm on duty tonight.

I said I took care of all that!

How about you?

I don't care, as long as the gender ratio is favorable.

These troublemakers.

I'm sure you're very well aware, but soon the head of cardiology will change.

I'm sure you'll make a wise decision.

Is Hoon here?

Why is he not picking up his phone?

Hey, tell him to call me if you find him!

International rating agencies are considering downgrading South Korea's rating

because of the North's nuclear testing.

What are you doing?

What should I do, mom?

Is something wrong?

Hoon has disappeared.

Dr. Park? Why?

I don't know why. What if he was spirted back to North Korea?

That's nonsense. Why would they kidnap Dr. Park?

Because there's something like that!

What should I do? What if he's really kidnapped?

What should I do?

How does it feel to be home?

Where is Jae Hee?

Where is Jae Hee?

Jae Hee... Everything will be okay...

Don't do it!

Don't do it!

Stop it, you bastard!

I'll kill you!

Don't do it!

Stop it! Everything is my fault!

I'll do anything you tell me to! Please stop!

Don't worry, Jae Hee... I will...

Listen to me carefully.

First, you must operate on Jang Seok Joo's heart.

Second

nobody can find out that Han Seung Hee is Song Jae Hee.

Third, always remember that I'm watching you.

This is the moment when you say "Yes, sir!"

Dr. Park.

Yes... Sir.

Good job.

I'm going back.

Once people find out that they're both missing, things will be more difficult for us.

You've wasted too much time.

Don't you think it was all worth it?

Worth it?

I got to see what Song Jae Hee means to that bastard.

That means that we have full control of the heart that he'll be operating on.

Why are they testing their bomb if they agreed to having a summit?

North Korea wants to have the summit as soon as possible.

If you tell them you're still willing to meet them, I think this nuclear incident will quiet down.

I can't do it in this situation.

I heard that North Korea wants something in return. Is that why?

North Korea wants 2 billion dollars for meeting with me.

2 billion dollars is... 2 trillion Won.

We can feed our poor for ten years with that money.

But that's only around five percent of our defense budget.

It will help to secure peace in the peninsula along with the votes for you...

Stop talking nonsense!

Don't you know that we'll have to pay up every time they ask if we agree to this?

Then how about releasing this information to the public and polling the voters for their opinion?

There are some things that voters shouldn't know.

The division of public opinion on whether to give or not will only add to the chaos.

But a tense situation like this is only hurting your popularity.

Do you want me to waste the taxpayers' money to maintain my popularity?

How can you run a country if you're that cheap, President Hong?

But a peace that's bought with money never lasts, Mr. Prime Minister.

Anything can be bought with money.

Haven't you realized?

We live in an age in which it is possible to buy wars with money.

And that's why Korea needs a leader who is well aware of that.

How's Park Hoon?

He went back to the hospital.

Keep an eye on him.

If he continues to behave like this, the whole thing might be over.

Yes, sir.

Okay.

Mr. Prime Minister.

Hoon!

Hoon! Hey, Park Hoon!

Hoon!

Hoon!

Hoon!

Hoon!

Jae Hee!

Jae Hee!

What were you doing with your phone off?

Jae Hee!

Do you know how much I worried about you?

Hello?

Hey, Dr. Park!

Who is this?

Who else? It's the quack.

Goodbye.

Everyone's waiting for you here. Why aren't you coming?

Everyone?

Is Dr. Han also there?

Dr. Han?

She's here.

You told me you were going somewhere. Why were you sleeping in the car?

Is that Jae Hee's car?

That's an expensive car to buy with her mission budget.

Shut up.

Shut up about what? Jae Hee is a spy!

Do you want me to shut up about it?

She's not a spy!

If she's not a spy, how can she be here right now?

And why did she change her name?

You saw her with the prime minister. Why would a spy be with the prime minister?

Maybe he's a spy too!

What?

Don't ever show up in front of me again.

Why?

I don't want to see you.

I don't want to see you either. So get lost.

Hey!

You want another chance?

That's correct, Mr. Prime Minister.

I don't quite understand.

You graduated from Harvard.

I'm sure there are many hospitals other than Myung Woo that will be happy to hire you.

I'm not saying that Myung Woo is a bad place...

But I'm sure there are many other places at which you can achieve your dream.

It's because I want to win.

You want to win...

I beg of you, sir. Please give me another chance.

I'm sorry, but it'll be difficult for me to meddle with Myung Woo's internal affairs.

You've come all the way here. You can finish your tea before you leave.

You made Myung Woo accept Park Hoon again after he was kicked out.

Why do you think that?

The Chairman is not a person who will accept someone again after kicking him out.

So it means that there is someone else who changed the Chairman's mind.

You're an imaginative person.

I won't ask why you did that.

I'm only asking to be given the same chance that you gave to Dr. Park.

I beg of you, Mr. Prime Minister.

What an arrogant bastard.

How dare he to threaten me?

There is something you should see.

What is this?

It's about Dr. Han Jae Joon.

I don't want to see it.

Han Jae Joon isn't his real name.

This is great!

Dr. Park!

Dr. Park!

Where are you going?

You just got here, Dr. Park!

Go get him!

- Let go of me! - Come!

Where are we going?

Wherever.

Haven't you realized what we're dealing with?

No, I haven't.

Let's go in. If those people find out...

We can leave now.

That's nonsense!

We can just go hide! How will they find us in this big world?

They will. They'll find us no matter what.

Then let's go to the police. Turn yourself in.

Do you think a prison cell will be any safer?

At least you won't be killed!

The South Korean Prime Minister is on their side!

Nowhere in this world is safe for us.

So let's go in. It might be dangerous if people see you.

No one wants you to worry about me.

How can I not worry about you?

Jae Hee...

Please, let's go in. I beg of you, Hoon.

I don't want to. Let's go.

We can run away together. I can protect you.

Do you know how much I missed you?

Do you know how long I waited to see you?

Jae Hee.

And we just reunited after all that. Why do you not listen to me?

I don't want to part from you again. I don't want you to be in danger.

So you must listen to me, stupid!

Okay.

I'll do whatever you tell me to.

What should we do? Should we go in and party?

Is this all true?

Yes, sir.

Everything has been verified by the U.S. Immigration Services and the adoption agency.

His real name is Lee Seong Hoon.

And his father died because of malpractice at Myung Woo 20 years ago.

Then... Perhaps...

That malpractice suit of Park Cheol was for Han Jae Joon's father.

Why did you let him in?

He was begging me so much.

Send him away!

I beg of you, Mr. Chairman.

You only continue to disappoint me.

At least you had some guts left in you when you threatend me to quit.

Please give me one more chance, Mr. Chairman.

Go home.

Go home!

I'm not leaving until you answer. Tell me.

Why did you kill my father?

Kill your father? I'm a doctor, who saves lives!

That's a lie!

You killed my father!

What an unruly child.

Your dead father won't come back even if you do this.

Go home.

All of this is because of Soo Hyun.

Because she sided with Park Hoon...

You didn't do anything good. So be quiet.

Hello?

What?

The Prime Minister's Office.

Good evening, Mr. Prime Minister.

Dr. Han Jae Joon stopped by my office today.

That boy.

What do you think about giving him another chance?

With all due respect, I don't think you should meddle with the hosptal's internal affairs.

After all, this is about fixing my heart.

I already declared the winner based on the last surgeries' result.

Things change quite often these days.

I'm not a politician, Mr. Prime Minister.

That's quite suggestive, Mr. Chairman.

Do you think so?

Anyway, I do not wish to renege on my decision again.

Fine. Then how about this?

I'll make a good reason for you.

A good reason?

I'll help you to save face, while retaining your faithful dog.

Then I'll assume that you've agreed with me. I'll let you know of the plan soon.

Good night.

They looked at Dr. Han Seung Hee's medical records?

Dr. Moon blackmailed a staff member.

You should've reported that to me!

Didn't you know that leaking medical records is a crime?

I'm sorry, sir. It's just that Dr. Choi said he'll take care of it...

Dr. Choi?

And Dr. Han herself was willing to let it slide. But I'm sorry nonetheless, sir.

Really?

I'm scared that I'll be fired for this.

I think Park Hoon is the one who's getting fired.

What are you still doing here?

Should I tell him to come in?

Leave him.

Why? We now have a reason to remove Dr. Moon and Park Hoon.

I must train him.

Now that I got to look at him again, he looks like he might bite his own master.

Dr. Han?

If you want me to stay here, you must make another chance for me.

I must teach him once and for all to never rebel against me.

By the way, father

how did Prime Minister Jang find out that Park Hoon browsed through the medical records?

That's right.

Understood, sir.

What was the call about?

The hospital.

Do they want you to come in?

No.

Then I'll get going first.

Why don't you stay a bit longer?

I thought your neighbor is taking care of Seung Min too.

I feel uncomfortable.

Everyone looks sad except Dr. Moon.

Cheers! Okay.

Cheers!

Great!

Do you think the Chairman will change his mind?

He has to.

Then what about Park Hoon and Han Jae Joon?

The score between them right now is one-nothing.

I told you to go home.

If you don't leave, I'll call the police.

Everything's my fault, Mr. Chairman.

Please give me another chance.

Why are you doing this?

What an unruly child.

Your dead father won't come back even if you do this.

Go home!

Why did you kill my father?

I still have unfinished business at Myung Woo.

Unfinished business?

Bring my father back to life!

Yes, sir. I want to make Myung Woo the best hospital in the world.

I'll make you pay for this!

Get him away from me!

I don't want to lose Soo Hyun.

I'll revenge you at all cost!

Please give me another chance.

If you give me another chance, I'll give everything I have to serve you.

I'll get revenge!

So please give me another chance.

I beg of you.

Never forget.

I, Han Jae Joon

my father is Lee Do Seon, and I'm Lee Seong Hoon.

Never forget our names.

For Myung Woo

remember the person who will take revenge!

I would like to finish my unfinished business. Please give me another chance, Mr. Chairman!

Please...

Please give me one more chance!
