The Secret of Krimmler Falls

I want to live with you

I don't want to secretly sneak away anymore

You know it won't work

It will

Your father will never allow that

He will believe me

I don't think so

For him I am only a racial parasite and loser that is targeting his money

My Father...and father

But I want you

Three metres away....Two metres away

Your there

Come

Why did he walk so far?

He went too far

He went too far

He went too far

The Chinese say

River flows

The river flows quietly and steady

Steady

That Stockinger

Is the secret of life

Yes

You wanted to see me?

I the meantime you got to know the mentality of the people here

You constantly point

All are signs that constantly seem to tell you something

And if you are afraid

You come to us ...the gendarmerie

You want certainty

But that is our real job

Stupid people think it is routine

By the way, here is the routine report of the mountain rescue at Mittersil

That is near the Krimmler Falls

Do you know the Krimmler Water Falls?

That sounds very high? ~Probably~

Don’t you like the mountains?

Well...Yes

What is with this report?

A ...landowner

Went for a walk with his daughter in the mountains

Fell to his death

A wealthy one

And because he has more than others...people interpret

Some people even think that something suspicious happened

So drive there, to these people and give them... closure

As you wish

Please Stockinger

The coffin is in the chapel

You send a report to Salzburg after every mountain accident?

Not usually, but

Normally only careless tourist fall...

At the Krimmler Waterfalls

Not even those do ~Ah~

And?

The young woman kept saying over and over

Why did he go that far

Why did he go that far...

Why did he go so far up front to the precipice?

She only said why did he go that far

The girl recorded everything on video...can I see the tape?

But of course

The video affirms only that this is an accident

Without any third party fault

Well

You won’t see anything unusual

Well say something

What should I say

Sea-salt

Wait a moment

Nice that you are sensible again

Now comes the accident

From there it goes six minutes long

Do you want to see the whole thing again?

No, no...only the place at the waterfall where he fell

And louder please

That

He is saying something there..what is he saying?

What do people say when faced with death?

Some cry for their mom

For god?

Some just scream out loud… but most do scream

But why is she not helping him?

Why does she just keep filming?

Shock...paralysis

Our doctor calls it catalepsy

The people can’t move ...understand?

Radiator?

The motor is gone

You didn't accidentally see one laying around?

Is there a towing rope?

Is that Schmidinger in there?

Yes

I can only tow you to the Schneckler Hans because of priority

Thanks

The brakes work at least?

So...there

Bye...~Thanks~

Problems?

Yes

Looks like it. ~Open it up~

No back there...

Ah... so

What is it?

The floater is hanging

Ah you can fix that

Floater in the carburetor, the gas ran over

Yayaya... and can you get it to swim again?

If you can wait a little

Please

Did you come here with Mr Schmidinger?

Sort of...Did you know him?

Good day

Stockinger, I ordered a room

I'll be right with you

Ah you are the District Inspector who is investigating the Schmidinger accident

Yes that is me

Ah excuse me what floor is this

That is my daughter Ursel she is mute

Because of an operation on her vocal cords, but she understands everything

She runs the whole place

And

Hello Karin

Hi

I just wanted to know if you got there all right

And I said only with the dentist...

Michael is thinking if he has really a tooth ache

What are you doing?

I'm just watching a video

You are watching a video?

Yes

I’m trying at least

A girl

Taped her fathers deadly accident

On a video camera

Wait a moment

Now I got it

Say do you think someone would continue to film in a situation like that?

Yes there are cataleptic situations

Can you also say that in German Mrs Doctor?

Yes I can

That is a muscle stiffness that comes with shock

Did the girl say anything? Something must be on the tape

Nothing

Only the rushing from the waterfall

Listen Karin, I call you tomorrow

I love you, bye

What do you want to tell us?

Did he have problems with the video?

Open mouth Mr Post Commander

Yes Antonella it's me

Listen to this

Yes I’m sure you can

I mean there are experts here or in Vienna who can get the voice of...

Schmidinger to separate out

Hey Stocki I...~Ah Oh please~

Exceptionally... for me

And how is your fear of heights?

Oh no ~

Good day

Ah come on in... journeyman

Excuse it if the bird...

Is making improper remarks

He carries his heart on his tongue

I think you better go now ~Even in front of strangers?~

Yes you come some other time when the Inspector is not here

What?

He said I should stay here a bit longer ~Hansi !~

Good day... Schmidinger

Stockinger

My condolences

We three are the brothers

And this is Hansi

He doesn’t belong here...right Hansi?

Mrs Schmidinger I would like to talk to your daughter

Yes come, I will bring you to Amelie

Do you want to confirm her condition?

Mrs Schmidinger

The heart... you know

The death of my husband

Amelie

Yes

Just now as they were getting along so well again

I will make it short Mrs Schmidinger

Even if he was grumpy sometimes he never meant it that way

Amelie was his biggest treasure

He was just jealous

Nobody was good enough for her

Amelie?

Amelie

A gentleman from Salzburg is here

My name is Stockinger

Country Gendarmerie Command

I am sorry but I have to talk to you

Amelie

Leave it...I come back some other time

Don’t I get anything?

Here take the whole bottle but please leave already

I'm going...

Can I drive sometimes with your motorbike? Not because of me

He wants it like that

He needs the wind under his wings, the speed. Only once

No and finished

And... do you know more?

Did you cross examine her?

Did they tell you that today you no longer need mountain sage and coltsfoot?

Father is dead

Anything else?

Yes

There is still the Hans Schneckler

He wanted to talk to Amelie

This here

So...everyone saw that...and...happy?

Hansi too...yes?

Yes...Saw and heard

But happy...

No

It made us sad

Right bird?

Hansi

Come

Its enough...you better go

The camera is yours and the tape too

I have a copy

Good bye

Do you have a free day today?

The gas station is mine, I open when want

Then you have lots of time go for a stroll

Do you mind?

You love Amelie ~Why would you think that?~

But Amelie loves...

Whats his name...

I forgot the name ~Tony~

Tony Boga

He owns the wind surf school down there

This belongs to him…but nothing else

Not Amelie

But I heard that she wants him ~Thats not true~

He is after her

The hound dog with his many women

A real playboy like in the magazines

That’s how it is ~Amelie fell for that~

Tony doesn’t really want her

He wants the ski run at the other side of the valley

She wants him anyways

Well are you surfing too

Who...Me?

Being on a board is a wonderful feeling ~No thank you~

I’ll teach you..

I teach everyone except this one

Very nice but it's not for me

This man is gods punishment

He comes every two days...every two

He wants to learn boating

With that

Do you know how many hp it has?

Three hundred

With that, this mentally ill wants to drive

Hey Hansi

Are you trying again?

Yes...ah...Can I just go once

Drive over the sea? Just once? How fast does this go...100?

Give it up Hansi it is better for your health and my nerves

Especially for my nerves

Now get lost okay?

Yes

But I’ll be back

Right bird? When the Inspector is gone then we come back

The Tony will let us drive...you will see

The we will talk to him

Don’t be sad

Get lost you weird bird

You are an Inspector?

On vacation

Thanks

Hey

Enjoy your meal

Amelie we have to be careful

Now you don’t have to be careful anymore

Now I’m with you

Come

Can't you understand that people count one and two together?

I don’t care about people

Take me in your arms

Very good

Very good Amelie

This Pig

I'll kill him

I would think about that

Lets go for a walk..come ~No I have to...~

You don't have to do anything

I love you

You don’t know..You have no idea about anything

I know more than you think Mr Schneckler

So?

At the waterfall...

As you saved me

You were afraid

Me? You almost peed your pants

But you even more

You were afraid I would find something up there

There are no witnesses, no one saw anything

How can you say something like that

There are no witnesses...

Dear Mr Hans I need one of your VCR's, and right away

Amelie

Help me Amelie...

Oh god

Oh my god Amelie help me help...

I don’t know what I’m looking at…

A Schneckler Hans thats afraid

An ugly duckling that runs through the night and loves a beautiful swan

An old man with a bird that can estimate speeds

Blah blah blah blah blah

Yes please

What?

Wait a moment …can you turn that down?

Stocki...I had the electronics expert bothering me all day

And now I want to get rid of what I know

And can we just...

Yes I can understand ,I understand you

Can we filter out the noise?

Well negative Stocky...sorry

No chance to filter out the voice

I will try to explain

It has something to do with the automatic sound recording of the camera

It automatically adjusts to the loudest consistent sound and that was the waterfall

So the voice is gone and you cant recover the sound even with all the technology

Well is it my fault?

Yes...thanks

And Stocky?

Good night

The old Inspector...And on the farm

What are you doing here?

A condolence visit? ~You got it~

The landscape here is more than property and gold...I wish you success

Rest well

Good day

Can we help you?

As I can see you are already helping yourself

Do you have a search warrant? ~No nothing like that~

I don’t want to visit your sister I want to talk to her

You can’t talk to her she locked herself in ~Really?~

And yesterday night?

You are not going to give it a rest

Welcome to Amelie's clinic

Are you having fun? ~He is only doing his job~

Come Mr Inspector

Thanks

I loved my father very much

Now be sensible child

He is a foreigner

He doesn't belong to us

This vagabond is only out for our money

He is indifferent to you

Amelie

I don’t want anyone to hurt you

But I love him

But thats not a reason to marry him immediately

But why did he had to go so far? Right?

Thats what you said when they found you... Why did he had to go so far

What did you mean by that?

Why he had to go so far up front

The rocks are slippery up front

Now I want to know what your father said

As he hung between heaven and hell on the wet rocks, what did he say?

Said?

He said something?

Yes he did

You can see it on film

Maybe he said something to me and I didn’t understand

I only have the rushing sound in my head

Not only in your head

Sadly also on the tape

This camera ~A gift~

From Tony Boga ~Yes~

Last night you spent with him

Do you spy on me?

Of course

I know what people say

Nobody believes me that he loves me

Hello greetings

I am hungry

Good day

Good day

Lets get a seat...and him?

So...

No I haven’t…of course not

I know already that’s the special

Of course I have money otherwise I wouldn’t be in the pub

Something to eat that I haven’t had in a long time

No Chicken...I don’t eat birds

What else have you got?

Yes bring me brain

No I’m not the Soup Kaspar with the soup

Yes bring me brain, that makes me smart

We could need that right?

Miss...two beers please

You can't even eat lunch here

What do you want?

You can read lips right?

Yes

I would like to talk to you about that ~But I don't~

Not about Amelie, and not with you

That’s a pity

And why not?

To eat lunch across an Inspector, the food gets stuck in my throat

Hansi understands the language of the birds

And the deaf mutes

He knows what Schmidinger said on the tape

But he won’t tell me

Why?

What is he going to do?

How would I know, Wednesday 7th of July

Yes

Yes Stockinger

Oh hello Stocki

How is your case going?

Great!...I also had my thoughts

Congratulations, what about?

Who told you that...

It doesn’t matter, I only wanted to tell you to watch the film I just saw

It is a similar case ~What~

Oh I’m sorry I cant understand you, my batteries are low

Stocki

The gas cable broke

Otherwise nothing would have happened

Would a gas cable break on a such a nice new boat?

No

I will investigate the boat

He wanted to go so much, the bird

He wanted the airflow and the speed

Tony wanted to drown him in the lake

Bird in honour, but...

Tony rather was after you

Tony only let you use the boat because you threatened to tell me...

What Schmidinger said on the tape

He wanted to drown me ...the bird and I

In the lake

Will you tell me now?

What were the last words of Schmidinger?

I’ll tell you...

Because you saved the bird

Risen in bliss... Amen

Lord grant him and all the deceased eternal rest

Let them rest in your peace

Heartfelt condolences

The devil helped you with that

Tony

Sincere condolences

Heartfelt sympathy

Heartfelt condolences

Amelie

I will come with you

I won’t run away

What?

Really?...Thank you

Ahm Mr Boga

You miscalculated

Amelie is talking

I don’t know what goes on in the head of that girl

You think you can get me for something?

Yes I think so

Attempted murder on Hansi

The gas cable from your 250HP boat was sawed, pretty messy job

Everything had to go a little faster

We will see each other later Mr Boga

Why did he had to go that far...

If you decide to be with Tony...

Then I don’t want to see you here anymore

Then I no longer have a daughter

With all consequences

You know what that means

Then you will see how quickly your lover leaves you

You know exactly that I mean what I say

Always

I knew he meant it

I also knew I couldn’t have Tony without money

I tell you how it went

Come here

It is much too wet here

Come stand in front of the waterfall

That’s why we came here ~Your camera is getting wet~

Go back a little more ~Really?~

Back a little more

Back some more

Moment

There is still lots of space

Amelie

Help me

The devil helped you with that

Tony

I wanted Tony

Hello Sweetheart

Done

We proved that Mr Boga sawed the gas cable on his motor boat

And the rudder was split

There is at least attempted murder

Good

With Amelie it wasn’t just an attempt

Yes ~Huh~

Yes she confessed

What did he say?

It is just like the film...The biologist....

I wanted to explain on the phone

But you didn’t listen

Argggh

I don’t know, but I like him like this... the best
