in a blizzard what was he like part

Indian or something n just

lucky most of the

time how do you think he ended up with

Audrey what happened the night that he

got killed yeah a lot of people say that

he Sheriff Powell had hero

Tendencies we responded to a call

convenience storm silent M he barged in

there like a bull into a china shop

weapon on a suspect he thought he had

everything under

control suspect had a backup came out of

the back room there's nothing I could do

about

him I don't want to talk about it

anymore yeah the bumps on the train said

that Hampton came at him with a crowbar

they defended themselves and uh Hampton

jumped off right about here you sure

well that's where they placed it

you find anything no sir not

yet I'm looking forward to meeting this

guy why I always wanted to meet the

luckiest man in the

wion and bezler not a killer desperate

people do desperate things

ma'am just be careful okay okay good

night good night I'll show myself

out what was that all about he he's

coming

here he is he's coming to find me this

is the 21st century we'll track him down

and kill him before he gets anywhere

near here we never met with he's a

bulldog he's never going to give up

until he gets what he's

after besides we don't need him caught

oh we

don't

how we going to find out where the money

there somehow we need to find the money

we need to get out of here and we need

to head for La wait a second you still

thinking about going to La yes I told

you that's where the movies are made

sweetheart if I want to be an actress we

go to

Hollywood look the feds couldn't find

the money and I haven't been able to

find the money so how you think we're

going to find the

money funny I just called him WR him a

love letter these last few months maybe

you would have opened up and told me

where the money

was I just said this gut feeling it's

somewhere

[Music]

nearby W loud

I I was scared that you'd be

scared that I'd be scared if I scared

you

scared

nah you're nice what' you

expect I don't know I've never seen a

real ghost before you haven't

no I don't even know what one's like

well let me tell

you ghosts um like

me well

we're sometimes lost

and sometimes we're

misplaced some people like us and some

people hate us some are just

afraid Cassie there are some people who

Miss

understand that might want to hurt me

Cassie Jack we we can't let him find me

here but I can't show myself to everyone

it's just

Jack

Cassie Cassie I've been calling for

you

you

Jack come with me come with me now boy

are you crazy with a guy it's Dan but I

can see him you can he's letting you see

him

Cassie Dan Dan Jack can see

you hey who are you well I'm Dan the

think

wait you just go wherever you want to

go yeah you know this is really weird

you're really a ghost

yeah for real for

real I don't believe you well you're not

alone prove you're a

ghost how uh

disappear well I I I can't right now I'm

kind of low on

energy energy yeah how do you get

energy food would be nice like that

chicken and pie in your

fridge how did you know that well I just

know what's our new dog's name Rex

[Music]

C

ghost then what happened to your leg

Cassie it's on Helen great now she can't

find me here why

well because she's a grownup and if if

she sees me I go invisible for

good oh Jack please don't tell a

Helen don't worry I won't not until I

figure out what's going on here Cassie

Jack

coming come on

Cassie I'll be back Dan come on Cassie H

how about the

food

[Music]

energy I don't know why in the world you

kids can't just behave and I don't want

you out in that filthy Barn you don't

know what kind of vermin's been hanging

out there but that's my place

house you are always playing you said

you didn't like us playing in the house

don't back talk me

mister but but butt but butt a motorboat

no

butts you kids stay here and eat I'm

going to go lay down for a while because

I'm getting one of my headaches and then

I'm going to go into town and I don't

want to be worried about two snot-nosed

little kids Burning Down The Barn or

doing something foolish

nothing to

drink you got

legs I told you Dan was here why

here I mean if I wasn't ghosting a fly

I'd be somewhere cool like Hawaii or Las

Vegas or

something look at

this

hey she's falling

asleep get the back get the

back po D just remember there are a lot

of people who'd appreciate me when

you're finished you put that food in the

refrigerator and I mean it we don't

waste around

here

[Music]

[Music]

you little moners you come back here I

made it oh oh my head oh

oh oh my

head do you really like

it

hey nice

rig look just cuz I brought you some

food doesn't mean I believe you it was

my

daddy's he must have been proud to drive

this he never

did he was still fixing it up when he

died sorry to hear care about

that

yeah sometimes he would let me watch him

work

and he would always say one day we're

just going to zoom out that

door and I'd

say we're resuming

to and he'd

say wherever your heart takes you

must been quite a dad yeah he was always

saying cool stuff like

that can I take a look

no no it's

okay I'm going to tell Mom no you can't

then I'm going to tell on hel you really

can't just give him one more day Jack

you'll see that guy is really weird he's

not a guy he's a

ghost well okay we'll let Mom be the

judge of that just one more day

please okay just one more day but that's

[Music]

all does your leg still

hurt yeah but

sometimes things hurt for a reason a

reason yeah hurting tells you that

something's wrong and it needs to be

taken care

of it really hurts that I can't be with

my daddy

anymore I know how you feel

Cassie I have someone very special to me

that I can't be with anymore you do

what's their

name

well her name is glor are

you she's really

special he's always staring at that

truck it's never going to

start is to is

not let just have a look see

here take a

look

well one thing there's a hose

off and it looks like there's a bunch of

junk in the

carburetor that radiator could use a

good

flushing

and last but not least it's probably a

pretty dead

battery so it's never going to start

oh don't be so

sure you know it's going to take some

stuff and it's going to take some time

but I think we can do

[Music]

it

come

on

a Helen's leaving today she's going into

town well good did you get everything

yep all right let's get to

work okay hold on and toothbrush yeah

toothbrush that'll clean the carburetor

oh uh yeah that is on Helen's so we

better get it back before she starts

missing

it

[Music]

okay

got the

host it's really

old

[Music]

grease

[Music]

gree did you plug in the extension cord

yeah mhm this is going to take all night

to charge all night yeah but tomorrow's

a big day sure is a cool guy no matter

what he is ghost or no ghost he can fix

anything Jack you really think that he

can fix that old

pickup you'll

[Music]

[Music]

see

[Music]

[Music]

now thank you so

much what are you thinking me for you're

the one that called for help you're the

ones that saved

Rex thank

you

positive cross your fingers fingers

crossed one two two

uhoh let's see what's wrong

there

okay well looks like the radiator holes

is

leaking like I said it's really

old hey tie this around it that ought to

work all right here we

fingers cross one one

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

two here

[Music]

we

[Music]

there we go go go

go

[Music]

I'm telling you the fall probably killed

him probabilities don't solve crimes

Cameron no

sir well I haven't seen one like that in

a long time yeah that's an

oldie Sheriff B used to have one he was

fixing up

nice

so you don't think the uh escaped

convict is dead do

you nope B on 20 years is a cop

instincts if he's anywhere near here

he's not going to get past

me I guarantee

[Music]

it

[Music]

we got a f we got a f

[Music]

[Music]

right hey thank you kids I really had a

great day

today you don't have to buy those bikes

you promised to stand you've done enough

already new bikes

huh I don't know um maybe we ought to

ask my friend

Gordon can we have some lights over

here

Showtime ladies and germs let the show

begin thank you thank you boys and girls

and now let me introduce you to my

friend

Gordon as you can see his head is a

gourd look who's talking

well I didn't mean any offense

Gordon it's not easy having a gourge for

a

head well I never really thought about

it yeah you wouldn't it's not easy being

a head stol in Show Business well maybe

you ought to get out of Show Business

Gordon you know it can drive you crazy

he crazy look who's talking to a

gour well hey Gordon have you heard

anything about bicycles for the kids oh

yeah first of all the kids have to learn

to do the

3DS oh what's the three do you kids know

what the 3DS

are well the 3DS are always do what's

right and always do your rest and do

unto others as you'd have others do unto

you we can do

that well thanks a lot Gordon I hope you

enjoyed the

show

does that train stop around here um yeah

every morning it stops at the scrapyard

to load

junk uh why you might say I'm on a

mission to return something that doesn't

belong to me and to see someone very

important to

me and then I have to get back

where to Heaven well I wouldn't exactly

call it

that what do you have to take back uhuh

some things got to be kept a secret

ghost business you

know hey why did the ghost go to the

doctor not

again he wanted him to check out his

coffin coughing coughing you

know I just made that

up you need new

jokes that was

new oh by the way what was that number

on Dan's

shirt

uh hey you know what that

is that's his ghost number yeah yeah uh

like in the army or something uh so God

can keep track of him you know who who

he is and

stuff

Cassie

okay dear

Lord thank you for Mommy and Jack Aunt

Helen and

Rex

oh and most of all thank you for keeping

Dan safe and warm tonight night by the

way the number on his shirt is

45433 and well if you see Daddy again in

heaven tell him mommy's fine

and if you're done with him and don't

need him anymore we need

him so please send them

back in your name I pray

amen

amen okay bed bed bed get in

there good

night sleep tight tight tight go on

yeah I love you too

sweetie me too listen did you talk to

Cassie no luck huh

no

mom H um I've been thinking yeah uh you

think there really are

ghosts good

night well good

night

seriously

just too much month at the end of the

money Audrey I'm telling you I am really

concerned about Cassie talking to

invisible people I am beginning to hear

strange things all over the house what

kind of things all kinds of

noises well maybe it's the house

settling

the

house is 877 years old how long is it

going to take it to settle she's got a

pivot

imagination did Jack tell her how

strange she seemed she could become the

laugh and Stu of the school she could

become an outcast I do not know I mean

to tell you the truth I think Jack would

like to believe in Cassie's imaginary

friend also oh look Helen they're just

kids you know when I was a kid if I

acted crazy my my daddy would straighten

me out so fast it wouldn't be funny well

maybe that's the problem they don't have

a

daddy I'm so sorry I'm I'm sorry baby I

got a big mouth I have to watch my mouth

take a

lock

look it's me

okay you're probably right I'm just not

good at

this I just have too many needs on

Helen I need help I need you I need

money I need stuff I need to get away I

need to yeah now you're talking where

to to where I don't need so

much can I

go

no hey

it's going to be okay you get a good

night's sleep if you wake up during the

night you want to talk wake me up okay I

love

you this is for you for

in Helen how's Audrey

fine the most positive woman I've ever

known he just doesn't seem to be smiling

much

lately well I

uh I don't know I don't know if she'll

ever get over losing

ghost how'd you guess well I wanted to

believe it you know in the beginning

but I'm not a little kid like

Cassie

right you're the guy they're looking

for aren't

you and you're a smart

kid

I could never do anything to hurt you or

anyone else for that

matter I

know and I'm not going to tell

anybody I know you won't we're buddies

aren't we

yeah lock it in lock it

in

[Music]

Audrey was this the man you saw in the

cafe about you kids have you ever seen

this

man uh no no you're sure yeah you're

sure you're sure positive positive yeah

definitely def itely definitely Audrey

do you mind if I look around

outside

Audrey um no I I've I've I've never seen

this man before Audrey I asked you if

you mind me looking

around oh I'm sorry um no please go

ahead Ry uh you know uh I did see a guy

yeah you look something like this yeah I

guess um

he was walking on the road that

way um but you know that was a few days

ago I mean if you hurry you might catch

him that

way

well you have my number

rre not good night r

oh by the way the state issued a

bulletin that there may be a reward for

any information leading to the capture

of this man a

reward you you know might be able to fix

the place

up good night

night okay kids take a bath before you

go to bed and brush your teeth I'll be

up and kiss you

later it didn't look exactly like

Dan yeah maybe you

didn't lock the door there's a criminal

out

there

make it easy on yourself Hampton it's

over don't made me come in there after

you come out with your hands over your

head hon I'll give you to the count of

three one

2

3 don't

shoot don't shoot

officer don't move I'll blow your head

off I'll put your hands over your head

slly turn around

slow just stay

there

Dam oh God be with you hampon you shoot

a

cop I have no intention of doing that

they're going to track you down like a

dog

I'm sorry about this but I need some

time and I've got some stuff I've got to

do Hampton you can take the Cuffs off

Hampton Hampton I'm going to find

you I'm going to follow you Hampton and

I'm going to find

you didn't you ever think that maybe

just maybe you were in danger the prison

uniform didn't you know what the number

on a shirt meant

it was his ghost number his what oh shut

up

Cassie

gassie so the God could keep track of

him

Ry ever since Robert was killed her

imagination's been working over time

imagination you're not making it any

easier

it's a friend a pretend friend oh for

Pete's sake they're feeding a fugitive

and it's just a friend they cared about

him so so so that counts in my

book

wonderful they cared about him and they

had compassion for another human being

Raleigh okay so he was running from the

law yes he deserved to be punished but

my kids didn't know that they did what

they thought was right and that means

more to me than you getting some gold

star for a

Manhunt so that's your

defense my defense what are you

implying

Audrey maybe if you were around here

what if you were around here a little

more you'd know what your kids were

doing don't go there Raleigh I'm just

saying how dare you maybe if you had a

man here to take care of you the kids

you are an arrogant

Pig you have no idea what I've got

through or what I go through every

single day to keep things normal around

here normal

yes don't you think I want to be here I

wasn't saying that you were Robert's

friend and you've been my friend too and

I've been grateful for that but don't

make me hate you hey you can hate me if

you want

Audrey most normal mothers kids aren't

harboring a thief in the

barn

just think about

it excuse me

but I've got to do my

[Music]

[Music]

job

[Music]

again

Tommy Tommy

for the better we're going to be so

happy you know Gloria I get the creeps

ever since a detective came around here

I get a feeling that we're being watch

i' be surprised if your husband was

watching us right now I think we should

get out of here now and

around here to see your woman long

before you were

always real fair to me not like your

wife you better get

something like this would happen where

did he get the money statue in the

back Bo that's it call the

cops where are you going I'm out of here

[Music]

thanks appr

[Music]

it oh honey come

place sometimes but as long as we have

each other we're going to be

okay I love you so much I love you too

I'll always be here for

you hey Deputy hey Harold jeene George

so we're still looking for that escape

con so I want you to keep your eyes

peeled for any strangers

okay you got in the

back pigs mostly pig

poop okay you see anything out of the

ordinary you give me a call sure will

share

morning but uh we ain't got a

phone

hey you

fugitive cool I did Tom once stole

myself one of them tractors oh hey hey

I've been in jail before I stole me a

toothbrush I was trying to learn how to

use

[Music]

oh my

dad I miss you so much Jack come quick

it's Dan he's back oh I miss you so much

good to see

Dan

Dan Jack what are you doing good I'm so

glad to see you anybody here interested

in a

bicycle

wow just

ride

so you're

Dan I'm sorry I was hurt and I needed a

place to stay I don't usually encourage

my kids to Harbor

criminals I know I'll leave

now but you brought Joy back to this

house it's the least I could do for

them I'm going to turn my myself into

the

police I've done what I needed to

do

well may I get you something to eat

before you

go come

in and then we a ride in the car and

then

fishing and Dan stay Dire from the

fence

um it's

um it's not right for strangers to be

helping other people's

children just not

right I'm sorry if I interfered in your

lives I'll leave you

now go

Helen please don't leave like this Aunt

Helen didn't mean what she

said I don't think the kids are going to

sleep a wink they're so excited about

the

bikes that was the

idea they're special

I like to think

so your kids taught me a lot about

becoming a human being

again

yeah they kept me saying these last two

years I'm so sorry about your husband

thank

you I know you must really miss

him I know the kids miss him very

much but I feel so sorry for

him and what he could have

enjoyed well life sure can be strange

huh you

know I've been thinking the same thing

myself I can see how

you

and I did it all for

her I made a big

mistake

but I'm responsible and I'll pay the

price well you deserve more

with you know there's something I I want

to tell you I don't really know how to

say it but it was really kind of you

what you did but as a mother I just

don't feel comfortable with you buying

my kids those bikes I mean how you got

got them I I this puts me in a really

tough position but they have to go

back go back yeah I they were bought

with stolen money you know I teach my

kids right from wrong and and this is

just it's it's wrong no no no it's not

like that at all I traded fair and

square for

those it's not dirty

money I traded a watch I bought years

ago

oh I'm

sorry I can see why my kids like you so

much Cassie made this for

me every time I touch it it reminds me

of her and her love of

life you know I'll never take it

off it inspires

me well it looks really good on

you I hope it's it gets you through all

your

problems why am I not uncomfortable

around you an escape

convict I don't see danger in you and

neither did my

children it's because I'm

not

dangerous you know it's too bad to have

that little prison thing hanging over

you cuz we could use the handyman around

here

it was you who fixed the faucet and the

screen door and the stair railing wasn't

it you know if I can't find you handsome

well they might as well find you

handy is morning coming

already looks like

it

wow you know it's been such a long time

since I've had the energy to stay stay

up all

night I guess I never really had a

reason to

before are you sure you're not an

angel no I'm just a

waitress well uh you are uh still

offering that reward if somebody finds

him you know Audrey sure could use that

money and she could get out of debt and

pay off this place and fix it up and

Sheriff if you ever wanted to help

her well this is it cuz he's

here I guess I better be getting ready

to

go would you like to clean up the

bathroom's right down the hall yeah I

know

we'll go to the creaking ride all

right hey you have to finish

your drum roll

please what's about

time oh my stars you look like a million

dollars I really like

it

you look

beautiful Ry go run away don't let

Raleigh take you

in

Ry where is he who don't be foolish he

went

there Helen why did you do that this is

not one of your little stray cats or

some homeless dog this is a man who has

committed a crime I am well aware of

that but je took like this I couldn't

have done it any other way and besides

Audrey there is the reward oh so that's

what this is about the money no it's

just that somebody's going to take it

I've never done anything for you you're

going to thank me no I am never going to

thank you never yes you will you tell

your children you tell Cassie and you

tell Jack to do the right thing in life

this man committed a crime and he has to

pay for it they'll thank me they'll know

that Aunt Helen did the right thing and

so will you no he became a friend

there's a difference on Helen he's not a

reward he's a friend okay if you don't

betray a friend like that it is not the

right thing and it will never be the

right

thing oh I've got to get this back to

him

come on cash you're riding too slow

Faster come
