when his telescopic vision alerts him

to an impending catastrophe.

[water gushing]

But unknown to Superman, high above the Earth

a sinister satellite changes his plans.

[dramatic music]

[water gushing]

I have no powers under red sun.

[dramatic music]

Meanwhile, at the Hall Of Justice...

[beeping]

Superman's in trouble at the Rullen's dam.

I'll get over there right away.

Right, Green Lantern.

And I'll try to find the source

of the strange red light.

[buzzing]

[dramatic music]

[zapping]

That should hold it, Superman.

Good work, Green Lantern.

- I suddenly lost-- - Save your strength, Superman.

Aquaman is checking on the red sun.

Superman, our computers say that the sun's rays were changed

by a satellite launched from your Fortress of Solitude.

How can that be?

[dramatic music]

Who else on Earth understands that I get

my super powers from Earth's yellow sun?

Who else but a fellow Kryptonian, Superman?

Zycree! But my father exiled you to the phantom zone.

Yes, then I escaped.

and destroy your world!

[laughs]

We've got to reach the fortress and stop him.

[dramatic music]

[buzzing]

Oh, no! I'm powerless against yellow.

[Aquaman] I'll take it from here.

Zycree plays for keeps.

His filter focuses red sunlight on us wherever we go.

Well, maybe we can use the terrain to conceal us.

[buzzing]

I lost them! No matter.

This will take care of them.

[Aquaman] Good thinking, Green Lantern.

Nothing can stop this armored car.

[whooshing]

Zycree's using warp canisters.

Whatever they hit will disappear forever.

Then we better make sure they don't hit us.

There's only one other way in. An emergency ice floor entrance.

We now continue with the "Super Friends."

[dramatic music]

[male narrator] Near the outskirts of Gotham City

at the Ajax industrial dump site

two young boys are about to learn that junkyards

can be much more horrifying than they ever imagined.

[Carlos] Hey, Neil, look at all this neat junk.

Bet you can't hit that oil drum with a rock.

I sure can.

- I did it! - Nice shot, Carlos.

Maybe you ought to try out for the Yankees.

[both laughing]

[sloshing]

Meanwhile, at the Hall Of Justice...

[beeping]

[Zan] It's the TroubAlert.

Oh, no! It's an environmental emergency.

[computer] Satellite scanners have pinpointed the source

of the emergency at the Ajax dump in Gotham City.

It's time to put our Exxor experience to use.

[both] Wonder Twin powers, activate.

[zapping]

[dramatic music]

Meanwhile, at the dump

a mysterious chemical reaction is taking place.

[dramatic music]

Whoa! Look at that thing go!

[growling]

- What in the world is that? - I don't know.

But I'm not hanging around to find out.

[dramatic music]

Carlos, it's gonna get us!

[growling]

[Jayna] Oh, no! Zan, look, that monster's after those two kids!

[Zan] Jayna, quick, take us down.

[Zan] Okay, Gleek, now.

This icy straightjacket should keep you out of trouble.

[Jayna] Hang on, fellas.

[Jayna] In the future, stay out of dangerous places

We gotta find a way to get Batman back to normal.

This ironlike arm is our only clue

to the creature's molecular structure.

We've gotta get it back to the Hall Of Justice

and find an antidote for Batman.

Don't worry, Robin, we'll handle it.

Good, I'll see if I can slow down Batman

and that mutated hunk of junk.

Later, at the Hall of Justice

the Wonder Twins race against time

to find the antidote that will return Batman to normal.

- What do we do now, Zan? - I wish I knew.

First let's see if the computer can come up with a solution.

[whirring]

[beeping]

[computer] Caution, unless this antidote is administered within five minutes

transformation will be permanent.

Oh, no, that means if we don't give it to Batman in time

he may never be Batman again!

[intense music]

[tires screeching]

[growling]

[male narrator] As an awesome thunderstorm shatters

the skies of the Metropolis airport

it is about to take on a strange

and terrifying dimension.

[male 1] Pilot to control tower, I've been struck

by some kind of meteor. My instruments have gone wild!

This aircraft is alive! I'm bailing out.

[intense music]

[squawking]

Meanwhile, at the Hall Of Justice...

[whirring]

[Zan] That should do it, Jayna.

The Bat Mobile looks squeaky clean.

[gibberish]

Ah!

[Jayna] Gleek, I really don't need anymore suds, thank you.

[beeping]

It's an alert, Jayna, we can check it out

on the Bat Mobile monitor screen.

[both] Wonder Twin powers, deactivate.

[zapping]

[Jayna] Something's wrong at Metropolis airport.

Emergency! Calling the Super Friends.

The airport is under attack by some sort of monster bird!

[squawking]

[Zan] I'll alert Batman and Robin.

[Zan] Wonder Twins to Batman. Airport alert.

We read you, Wonder Twins. We've also received the airport alert.

We'll be there as soon as these stormy skies allow.

Right, Batman. Over and out.

[Zan] We'd better head over there, too.

[both] Wonder Twin powers, activate.

Next stop, Metropolis airport.

[thunder rumbling]

[squawking]

[zapping]

[Zan] Jupiter! There's that bird monster.

It's got some kind of power beam.

[Jayna] Look! It's changed the aircrafts into living beasts!

[buzzing]

[Zan] It's on the attack, Jayna. Quick! Dive out of its path!

[Gleek chattering]

[Zan] We've got to change form and get out of here, Jayna.

[Jayna] Shape of a flying serpent.

[zapping]

[creaking]

[Zan] Let her rip, super sis.

Metropolis airport is not responding at all, Batman.

Look, Robin, there's the cause of the shutdown.

[Robin] Holy ferocious fox, Batman! A squadron of bird monsters.

The Bat Radar indicates they are heading out to sea.

Toward the aircraft carrier, Washington.

[Batman] We've got to follow those creatures and ground them.

[creaking]

[Gleek chattering]

[both] Wonder Twin powers, deactivate.

[zapping]

- The aircraft beasts are gone! - And we better find them fast.

Batman and Robin must be near here by now.

Wonder Twins to Batman and Robin, come in.

[Batman] We're on the trail of these aircraft monsters.

Wonder Twins, our projected site of interception

will be the aircraft carrier off the Cape Coast.

Be very careful, Batman, that jumbo jet monster

can turn all the navy aircraft into beasts, too.

- You must stop its power ray. - Roger.

[Batman] We'll be prepared to use some power of our own.

[Zan] We're on our way to back you up. Over and out.

[both] Wonder Twin powers, activate.

Form of an ice jet.

[engine revving]

[Zan] Now we should be a better match for those aircraft creatures.

I've never seen anything like it.

Monster airplanes.

[squawking]

[Robin] Holy jumbo jet monsters, Batman.

It's trying to recruit US air power

and form its own diabolical air force.

[Batman] We'll stop that beam with a Bat Reflector.

[squawking]

[Robin] Holy surprise attacks, Batman.

I need the giant Bat Net, Robin. We've to stop the ring leader.

[whooshing]

Good work, Wonder Twins. Now, to net the big bird.

[squawking]

[squawking]

[Robin] Holy monster beams, Batman.

It's gonna hit us.

[Batman] The Bat Jet's alive. Jump for it, Robin.

[squawking]

[Robin] Holy wing grip, Batman. It snagged me!

[zapping]

[squawking]

[clanging]

Holy metamorphosis, Batman.

Thanks to your quick reflexes, that beam sure backfired on him.

[Batman] Right, Robin, look, the Bat Jet

and all the planes have returned to normal, too.

This freak occurrence has ended.

[Jayna] Wonder Twin powers, deactivate.

You sure saved our entire air power

from a monstrous take over.

- Thank you, Batman and Robin. - You're welcome.

who helped pull off the saving maneuver.
