[male narrator] On the tropical east coast of Florida

at the Kennedy Space Center, perfect weather awaits

the launch of an experimental orbiting satellite.

[male announcer] All systems go. We are at minus ten and counting.

Ignition.

[rumbling]

If it falls back to the Earth

its radioactive power-core

could cause extreme danger.

[male narrator] Thousands of miles away at Death Valley, California...

[whistling]

...the experimental satellite crashes back to Earth

releasing its deadly radioactive energy.

[buzzing]

[buzzing continues]

Meanwhile, at the Hall of Justice...

See, Wonder brother, you didn't tell me

you were taking up oil painting again.

I'm not. But I have a feeling I know who is.

[chattering]

Super Friends, Death Valley is being overrun

by giant desert beasts.

[male narrator] Instantly, the Super Friends streak into action

must have scared all the inhabitants away.

There are no animals in this area that are strong enough

to do this kind of damage.

for the mysterious giant beast...

I've searched the entire desert area, there's not a sign of...

Preliminary analysis indicate

satellite from Kennedy Space Center

may have crashed in vicinity of Death Valley.

Jupiters! That could be what's causing the disturbance.

You two stay by the monitor.

I'll check with NASA for anymore information

on that downed satellite.

[male narrator] Meanwhile, at a strange salt water lake

near the edge of Death Valley...

That's strange.

This lake seems awfully quiet.

As if something scared away all of the fish.

[male 4] This satellite is an exact duplicate of the one

that was launched this morning, Wonder Woman.

It's our most sophisticated nuclear powered G-16.

If its radioactive power core were to break open

there's no telling what could happen.

Biological studies have shown that some forms of animal life

could have wild genetic reactions to the radiation.

Then it could cause an increase in growth.

Depending upon the amount of contamination.

The tracking computer has figured out

the exact location of the satellite.

[male 5] The impact point is six miles southeast of Wench Stone Rock.

[male 4] Be careful, Wonder Woman.

Radiation's effects could be deadly.

[male narrator] Later, as Wonder Woman approaches

the site of the downed satellite...

The satellite should be directly below.

Great Hera! The warning signal indicates

a dangerous level of radiation.

Oh, no! It's the satellite.

[snarls]

Sir, there's some kind of large

unidentified object approaching the base from the northeast.

I've spotted something, 300 yards beyond the east fence.

Whatever it is, it's broken through the base perimeter.

Everyone to their battle stations, and use caution.

The creature is radioactive.

We're right over the creature.

Drop the cable.

Jupiters, that creature looks like Wonder Woman.

What on Exor could've happened to her?

I don't know. But we better notify the other Super Friends.

There's no time, Jayna. Besides, they're all busy.

We'll have to take care of this problem ourselves.

We couldn't stop the creatures.

But we've been tracking them ever since.

Whatever contaminated those animals must have affected them.

We've also just received word that a hoard of giant

earthworms is undermining the California Coast.

They're starting earthquakes.

And the coastal cities are sliding toward the sea.

Holy disasters, which do we handle first?

Both of them, Aquaman and I will head for the coast.

Right, will intercept Wonder Woman and the Twins. Come on.

[male narrator] Miles away at a gypsum mining facility...

[male narrator] Meanwhile, on the California Coast...

Those worms are tearing up the coast.

I've got to stop those giant worms

before the entire coast caves in.

That abandoned oil storage tank should hold them.

[rumbling]

Great Scott! The city is caving in over the giant holes.

We've barely been able to slow down Wonder Woman and the Twins.

Justice League computers are our only chance.

According to the computer analysis, the only possible way

to reverse the effects of the radiation

is for Superman to bombard the power core

with this X-ray vision.

The high energy from Superman's X-rays will alter

the radiation and should reverse the effects.

Holy Geiger counters.

How can Superman get near the satellite safely?

Don't worry, Robin.

Kryptonite is the only radiation that can affect me.

[beeping]

[computer] Radar scanners have located Wonder Woman's invisible jet.

It is in quadrant four of Death Valley near downed satellite.

Let's go.

[male narrator] Later, Superman bombards the radioactive power core

with his X-ray vision.

Changing the glowing energy into a antidote form.

He's done it, Batman.

Now to get to Wonder Woman and the Twins.

[male narrator] Meanwhile, on a remote desert highway...

[tires screeching]

What-what on Earth is that?

[screams]

I've spotted Wonder Woman and the Twins, Superman.

They're directly below you.

[screams]

I hope this works.

[buzzing]

It's not having any effect on them.

[whirring]

It looks like this antidote worked.

Now to get to Wonder Woman.

[screams]

We've got to take care of the rest of those giant beasts.

power core onto the Bat jet.

[Wonder Woman] And I've got some on the invisible jet.

Good, let's go.

[male narrator] Seconds later, the Super Friends

split up over Death Valley.

[growls]

Bombarding the area with the strange blue radiation.

[whirring]

Transforming the mutated creatures back to normal.

Later, at Hall of Justice...

All of the creatures have been taken care of.

And the satellite is back in the hands of NASA.

It sure is good to know that there's no more

monstrous beasts around.

Say, where's Gleek?

Oh, no, he must have gotten contaminated.

[laughs] Guess again, Zan.

He's just showing off his home movies again.
