[male narrator] Deep within the outer reaches of space

on the edge of the Milky Way

a strange and sinister creature

moves through the starry vastness.

[intense music]

[screeches]

Speeding toward a small, distant planet called Earth.

[screeches]

Later, in a small New England village...

[narrator] Meanwhile, at the Hall of Justice...

Just our luck, the only day it's our turn to monitor

the Justice League TroubAlert and there's nothing happening.

Yeah, not even a cat up a tree.

Well, at least Gleek has found something

to occupy his time.

[gibbering]

Looks like Gleek's got his own Magic Lasso.

Uh, I mean magic tail.

[whimsical music]

[gibbers]

I think Gleek's magic tail has a mind of its own.

It's the Justice League TroubAlert.

Wonder Woman, we need your help immediately.

A giant flying beast is creating havoc in New England.

Jupiters, looks like we're gonna have some excitement, after all.

I better notify the rest of the Super Friends.

emergency frequency. We've all been alerted.

Zan, Jayna, you stay here and monitor the TroubAlert

for any further messages.

[narrator] With lightning speed

Wonder Woman, Aquaman

Superman, Batman and Robin

speed across the country to converge

on the scene of unsuspected danger.

[instrumental music]

It was terrible, Super Friends.

The great beast raided our town.

It flew off in the direction of the Great Lakes.

What sort of beast could cause this kind of damage?

That must be ten feet wide.

Whatever it is, the force of its wings

is powerful enough to change the weather conditions

all over the area.

There's no time to lose. We've got to find it.

[tense music]

[narrator] Later, at Niagara Falls...

We've searched everywhere and there's no sign of the beast.

[screeches]

What on earth is it?

[water crashing]

I can answer that, Batman.

It's a prehistoric beast called Rokan

from my home planet Krypton.

It was thought to be extinct for a million years.

But my guess is that the explosion of Krypton

just after I left, freed the beast from the polar ice cap.

Then it's probably been roaming the galaxy for years

looking for a place to live.

I suggest we convince it that this isn't the place.

My Magic Lasso will stop you.

[screeches]

Wonder Woman's in trouble. This is a job for Superman.

but there's still no indication of any weakness in Rokan.

[narrator] Meanwhile, in the distant mountains of Canada...

Probably just a large, frozen boulder.

[egg cracking]

[screeches]

[narrator] Later, at the Hall of Justice...

...the Super Friends continue to search

for a way to stop Rokan.

[machine beeping]

Super Friends, you must help!

Dozens of giant eggs have been found

throughout the Canadian Rockies.

They're hatching into giant, wild beasts.

Don't worry, sir. We'll take care of it.

We'll have to split up. Batman, Robin

you head for the Canadian Rockies and handle the eggs

I'll check the Great Lakes area for any damage.

Good, Superman and I will try to find Rokan

and slow her down.

[narrator] Later, in the Canadian Rockies...

[narrator] Meanwhile, at the Great Lakes...

[Aquaman] I've got to stop that creature before it sinks the ship.

I'd better notify the Super Friends.

[Rokan screeching]

of Rokan's position.

[screeches]

Aquaman to Justice League emergency relay.

[instrumental music]

Careful, Gleek. Don't step on any important buttons.

[machine beeping]

It's the Justice League emergency relay.

One of the Super Friends is in trouble.

Wonder Twins, contact the other Super Friends

tell them I am at map co-ordinate 17-33, hurry!

Rokan is after Aquaman!

[gibbering]

Oh no! Gleek has shorted out the Justice league relay!

[Zan] Now we can't contact the other Super Friends.

We'll have to try to rescue Aquaman ourselves.

And for that we'll need a little Exxor handiwork.

[narrator] Meanwhile, as Superman and Wonder Woman

continue to search for Rokan.

Aquaman to Wonder Woman, I just chased Rokan

out of the Great Lakes region, she's headed due north.

And she's got the Wonder Twins and Gleek.

The Wonder Twins? Thanks, Aquaman.

We'll take it from here.

Rokan headed for the opposite side of the earth, Superman.

On a direct course for Mount Everest.

[narrator] Later in the eastern hemisphere.

Somewhere in the Himalayas.

[Jayna] Whew! It's cold. I wonder where we are.

Who cares! I just wanna get out of here wherever we are.

Oh, no! Now I understand why Rokan brought us here.

[shrieking]

Looks like the Wonder Twins are about become Wonder Worms.

We've got to think of something and quick!

I've spotted Rokan and the twins, Wonder Woman.

I'll sneak up on Rokan and try to get them out.

Look! Here comes Superman!

[narrator] Later the Super Friends regroup at the Hall of Justice.

So far nothing we've done has even slowed down Rokan.

Even now, it's somewhere over Japan

creating terrible Typhoons.

There seems to be no way to stop it. It's stronger than I am.

And the only thing that can harm me is... kryptonite.

Why didn't I think of it before.

Holy brainstorms! Of course!

If Rokan is from Krypton, then it would be as vulnerable

to Kryptonite as Superman.

We can find a Kryptonite asteroid in space

and tow it back to earth.

I'll plot the statistics on the computer.

[computer] Calculations completed, Batman.

A three billion tons asteroid

of pure Kryptonite will be sufficient.

However secondary calculations confirm

that even with the lead shielding

of the Hall of Justice

this amount of pure Kryptonite

will have an 83% chance of being fatal to Superman.

We'll have to forget the Kryptonite.

We can't risk Superman's life.

Wrong, Jayna we decide the matter the same way

the Super Friends decide any matter of importance.

The greatest good to the greatest number of people.

- Use the Kryptonite. - Right, Superman.

Aquaman and I will take the invisible jet

and get the Kryptonite asteroid.

Zan, Jayna stay by the monitor.

The rest of us will head for Japan to slow down Rokan.

[narrator] Later, on the other side of the earth, in Tokyo.

[shrieking]

The bridge is giving away!

We've got get those baby Rokans

off that bridge before it collapses.

Activate bat-lights, Robin!

[shrieking]

Look out Batman! The sky scraper is coming right at us.

My heat vision will wield it back together.

[shrieking]

[zapping]

[narrator] Meanwhile in the emptiness of deep space.

Picking up Kryptonite radiation reading, Wonder Woman.

Sensors indicate an asteroid of 3.2 billion tones.

I see it, Aquaman.

Prepare to fire rocket harpoons.

Roger. Rocket harpoons away.

Wonder Woman to Batman, we've got the Kryptonite.

We'll meet you in Tokyo Bay.

Have Superman return to the Hall of Justice immediately.

Roger Wonder Woman.

[narrator] As Superman heads back to the leaded protection

of the Hall of Justice...

...the other Super Friends take huge portions

of the Kryptonite, hauling them

to the four corners of the earth.

Where they chase the baby Rokans back into deep space.

[shrieking]

[Jayna] Wonder Woman hurry! Superman can't hold out much longer.

The babies are gone, only Rokan remains. Hang on, Superman!

[narrator] Later, as Rokan descends on the island of Hawaii

the Super Friends converge on the beast

with their huge quantity of Kryptonite.

She's landed, Batman! Now's our chance to get her.

[shrieking]

Phew! That was a close one, Batman.

I know, Robin and we've got to get even closer.

[shrieking]

Boom

[Wonder Woman] Great Hera! Rokan's wings are causing the volcano to erupt!

Batman, Wonder Woman hurry!

Holy incinerators, Batman!

Rokan just dove straight into the molten Lava!

Prepare for a bombing run over the volcano!

We'll drop the Kryptonite, right down it's throat.

Right, Batman, but we've got to have perfect timing.

Once we've dropped the Kryptonite

there's no second chance.

Steady! Steady!

Holding course! Target at 400 meters and closing.

Three hundred.

Two hundred.

One hundred.

Now, Robin.

Kryptonite away, Batman.

[shrieking]

[Zan] It worked, Rokan is headed back into space.

[narrator] Later at the Hall of Justice.

[Jayna] Nice going Wonder Woman.

Another few minutes and I think Superman would've been finished.

No need to trouble yourself over me, Jayna.

Right, with Rokan gone and the Kryptonite back

where it came from, there's nothing to worry about.

What you worrying about, super sis?

We Superheroes know how to take care of ourselves.

Oh, no! Rokan is back!

[shrieking]
