Superman and Wonder Woman

in an electrifying adventure when they meet

the marauding monster of Dr. Droid.

Then the Wonder Twins and Gleek

have a few special wonder tricks up their sleeves

when a couple of thoughtless students

turn into school vandals.

The Super Friends find themselves in critical combat

against each other when they become captives of Tyrannic

the ruler of the underseas world of Oceana.

Then Batman and Robin with the special guest Atom

are called on to save a speeding passenger train

that has been taken over by a critical energy mass.

[dramatic music]

[intense music]

[crickets chirping]

Those fools at the science institute who expelled me

for my unethical experiments will be shocked when they see

how my android robot will help mankind.

Once you put the brain waves of this trained white mouse

into the android circuit you will have created

an obedient, super-strong, untiring servant.

Man will no longer have to work or think.

Everything's ready, Dr. Droid.

Dr. Droid, look!

[grunting]

[grunting]

Something's gone wrong.

[Boris] The android's gone wild!

[male narrator] Later, at the Hall of Justice...

Super Friends, an eight-foot-tall robot monster

has been sighted on a country road near Wheatville.

Information has it that Dr. Droid

was working on such a creature.

We'll get right on it.

I'll take the invisible jet

and follow you, Superman.

[dramatic music]

Up, up, and away.

[male narrator] Later, at the small town of Wheatville...

[grunting]

[dramatic music]

Goodnight, grandma.

Harold, look! What is it?

It's some kind of monster. Quick! Everyone in the house.

My dolly. Where's my dolly?

Can I have my dolly?

Look, there's the monster! Come on!

I'll try to cuff him.

[man screaming]

[metal creaking]

[jet droning]

Superman, there he is.

I think I'll have a Man of Steel to man of steel

talk with him.

[grunting]

Superman, look out.

Whoosh

I've got to get that oil truck

before it hits the ground and explodes.

And I'll drop in on our eight-foot friend.

Screech

[grunting]

Okay, big fella, you're at the end of your rope.

Swish swish swish

[grunting]

Hiss

He broke the... gas main. I'm g-getting... dizzy.

[growling]

[dramatic music]

Wonder Woman. She's gone.

Superman, the monster took Wonder Woman!

I've got to find her and stop that metal monster.

[grunting]

[music continues]

[grunting]

Dr. Droid, the android has returned.

And with Wonder Woman. A stroke of luck, Boris.

Perhaps on transferring her human brain waves

into the android we can increase his intelligence.

There's no sign of Wonder Woman anywhere.

My special infrared vision is my last hope.

Those glowing red footprints, they must belong to the android.

And they should lead me straight to Wonder Woman.

Whoosh

[intense music]

Superman will stop you, Dr. Droid.

You'll never succeed.

Of course I will, Wonder Woman.

And I'll be a national hero

for my scientific advancements.

You can't help some people by harming others.

On the contrary, mankind will appreciate your sacrifice.

Now, to transfer your brainwaves to my android.

[Superman] Sorry to interrupt, Dr. Droid.

But my freeze breath should cool off your plans.

Huff

It's frozen solid.

[grunting]

I'll have you out of this in a second, Wonder Woman.

[grunting]

[music continues]

And I'll head off Dr. Droid and his assistant.

[dramatic music]

My magic lasso is just the thing to create a roadblock.

[intense music]

[male narrator] Later, with Dr. Droid and Boris

in the hands of the authorities...

Trying to advance science is a noble idea

but not at the expense of jeopardizing

the lives of others.

Well, that just about wraps up

everything, Wonder Woman.

But what about the little white mouse

in Dr. Droid's laboratory?

Oh, him. He's just fine.

[laughing]

[male narrator] It's academic adventure when the Wonder Twins

and Gleek exercise their Exxor power

at school to teach a pair of young vandals

a much needed lesson. Stay tuned.

What blew the fuse, Batman?

Too many machines plugged into

the same electrical circuit, Robin.

Often too many lamps and other electrical appliances

are plugged into the same outlet

This can overload the circuit and cause a fire.

Also we should always make sure

electrical wires are in top condition.

Frayed cords, or loose plugs are dangerous shock hazards.

By following common sense rules about electricity

we can make our lives a lot safer, Robin.

[dramatic music]

Why are we stopping by the school, Spenz?

We are gonna have some kicks.

Yeah, like tearin' old man Morrison's print shop apart.

You've got to stop them before they get into any more trouble.

I'm afraid you two boys are gonna have

I guess it wasn't much fun after all.

We know we were wrong, and we'll repay the money somehow.

I'm just glad the Wonder Twins were around

to save us from an even worse punishment.

Looks like Gleek helped clean up the print shop.

[chattering]

[male narrator] A mysterious kingdom of the sea threatens the surface world

but the Super Friends overcome the Oceanic peril

in "Super Friends vs Super Friends. " Coming up...

Time for the first clue to today's secret code word.

It plays an important role in the "Super Friends Adventure"

coming up.

Looks like he wins that one.

But back to the clue.

The first part of the code word

is the last part of my name.

Or kinda sounds like it. I'll be back with a second clue.

Looks like he's back for a second round.

While I'm doing this, you be thinking

about the clue I just gave you.

[dramatic music]

[male narrator] Somewhere in the vast Pacific Ocean

a naval exploration ship lowers a diving bell

with two navy scientists.

But little do they realize

that they too are being studied.

[ominous music]

Look, father...

Giant Octopus! Haul us up, fast!

The creature is magnificent. Let's trap him for the arena.

No, Nerrac, we already have stronger

and more ferocious creatures for our games.

We'll search further.

Shouldn't we help those surface dwellers?

Those weak beings are no concern of ours.

[male narrator] Who are these strange beings?

And why would they search the ocean for monsters

more ferocious than this.

Emergency! Emergency! Send help, fast!

[male narrator] An emergency signal from the TroubAlert

brings the Super Friends to the Hall Of Justice.

[Wonder Woman] It's the captain of the navy's exploration fleet.

Super Friends our exploratory diving bell

has been attacked by a giant octopus.

It severed the lifeline and there's only one hour of air.

I'll take care of it. The ocean is my domain.

A giant octopus should be no problem for the King of the Sea.

- Contact us if you need us. - Right.

[male narrator] Soon, Aquaman is beneath the waves

racing to the rescue on his Aquascooter.

[dramatic music]

If I can just distract the creature.

[male narrator] Trapped by the giant octopus

Aquaman calls telepathically to his undersea friends.

Whoosh

[music continues]

Father, look!

Have you ever seen such a powerful surface dweller?

He's a champion. We must have him.

Quickly, to the Monster-trapper.

[Aquaman] By the time you untie yourself, big fella

we'll be long gone.

Now to get this diving bell to the surface.

[Nerrac] What if the surface dweller resists us?

The invisible muscle-control ray

will command every muscle in his body.

Zap

Stop, surface dweller.

Something's overpowering my muscles.

I can't seem to control them.

If I can just activate my emergency ring...

It's no use.

[Hogaan] Turn and come this way.

[male narrator] Aquaman and the two naval explorers

are drawn helplessly

into the jaws of the monster-trapper sub.

It's been over an hour, and there's no sign

of Aquaman or the diving bell.

Something's gone wrong.

Aquaman knew the bell only had

an hour's worth of air.

The Signal Ring Locator should spot him

anywhere on earth.

Holy radar screens! There's no sign of him.

Aquaman's ring is either malfunctioning

or something is trapping its beam.

There's no time to lose. We'll split up and search.

You two stay here. if you receive any message from Aquaman

contact us immediately.

[male narrator] The Super Friends race to Aquaman's aid.

Far away, under the depths of the ocean

the strange submarine

approaches a mysterious mountain...

...within which is the long forgotten city of Oceana.

Sister city to Atlantis.

[dramatic music]

[spectators booing]

- More action! - More excitement!

The monsters always win.

Mighty Emperor Tyrannic.

Hogaan, the people are growing bored with the games.

If I'm to remain in supreme power

they must be constantly entertained.

Forgive me, sire, I have not found worthy opponents

for our monsters but this time

I have captured the strongest one ever.

If he fails, you'll be monster's next opponent.

People of Oceana, your boredom is at an end.

Behold...

[dramatic music]

[spectators booing]

- He's just a surface dweller. - They're all weak.

We want excitement.

Looks like a packed house and I'm the center of attraction.

This is no ordinary surface dweller, sire.

At this moment he's under muscle control. Look.

[Tyrannic] Turn off the muscle control.

But, sire, I...

My body's free. Now to find out what this is all about.

[creaking]

[spectators cheering]

Magnificent.

Tomorrow's games will thrill

even the most bored among you.

A powerful surface dweller will face the Serpentine

in a battle to the finish.

[male narrator] Meanwhile, miles away, the Super Friends

continue their unending search for Aquaman...

...through dangerous wrecks...

...and shark-infested waters...

...with no success.

And in the dungeon below the Oceana Arena...

This dungeon can't hold me.

The invisible muscle control ray will make it impossible

for you to escape, surface dweller.

Come, Nerrac. We must capture more monsters for the games.

My emergency ring signal can't penetrate

this undersea mountain.

If I could just get it off, I may be able to

get a message to the other Super Friends.

[male narrator] With supreme accuracy, Aquaman plants

his emergency ring on Nerrac...

...who unwittingly carries it outside

where it signals the Super Friends.

[Zan] Aquaman's signal ring.

[Gleek whooping]

Zan, Jayna.

Wonder Woman, we got Aquaman's signal.

So did I, but it's took weak to determine its location.

You'll have to activate the Signal Ring Power Booster.

Leave it to me.

[static]

Are you sure you know what you're doing?

Watch efficiency in action, little sister.

Oops!

Well, Mr. Efficiency.

Zzz

You really did it this time.

Aquaman, is at map coordinates 37-93.

Zzz

[whimpering]

Wonder Woman, did you get the coordinates?

It's dead. We'll have to take an Aquascooter

and deliver the coordinates ourselves.

And you better let me drive, mechanical genius.

[male narrator] But Wonder Woman has

received the coordinates.

Wonder Woman to Superman and Batman.

Aquaman located at coordinates 37-93.

[dramatic music]

The signal is coming from 200 meters ahead of us.

I'll get a picture of the location

on the Underwater Viewer.

[Batman] It's some kind of weird sub, but no sign of Aquaman.

[Superman] We'll trail them. They may lead us to Aquaman.

[male narrator] And, unknown to the Super Friends

the Wonder Twins also close in on the Monster Trapper.

[Jayna] The beeps are coming from that crazy sub.

Maybe they know where Aquaman is.

[Jayna] Hey, in there. Open up.

Ah! These surface dwellers could be like the other one.

[Hogaan] We'll take them back.

Holy submarines, Batman! What kind of a craft is that?

I don't know, Robin

but we've got to save Zan and Jayna.

Batman to Super Friends, that strange sub has got the Twins.

Move in.

[dramatic music]

- They're attacking us, father. - Yes.

Hence providing us with more warriors for our games.

Zan, Jayna, this way.

[Hogaan] Now for the muscle control ray.

zap

I can't move a muscle.

Holy muscle rays! We're helpless, Batman.

What's happening?

Surface dwellers, follow me.

[male narrator] Helpless in the grip of the muscle control ray

the Super Friends are lead to Oceana.

Later, in Emperor Tyrannic's throne room...

Mighty Tyrannic, these surface dwellers

are even more powerful than the other.

Excellent. They shall all fight each other to the finish.

And the winner will battle Serpentine.

Take them to the dungeons.

[male narrator] Powerless against the muscle control ray

the Super Friends are to be compelled

to fight the only force powerful enough to defeat them.

The Super Friends.

It's time for the next decoder clue.

I think we can find it in the galley of this old wreck.

Remember the clue to the first part of the word

sounds like the last part of my name.

And the clue to the second part of the word

is what I'm doing by mixing this old stew pot.

Put the two clues together and you'll have

the sound of today's code word.

Suppose you were forced to fight monsters, would you like it?

[male narrator] And so now, the muscle control ray

has the Wonder Twins in its power.

Later, as hordes of Oceaneans crowd the stadium...

[Hogaan] The battle of the century is about to begin.

[spectators cheering]

[male narrator] Lead by guards with portable muscle rays

the Super Friends enter the arena

for what may be their last battle.

Activate Master Muscle Control.

Invisible muscle ray on, sir.

[Robin] There must be something we can do.

If I could only get to my Bat devices.

My super strength is useless if I can't control my muscles.

Let the games begin.

[spectators cheering]

[male narrator] Seconds away from doom

the Super Friends wait helplessly

in the grip of the invisible muscle control ray.

Superman, look.

We have only seconds before they order us to battle.

We've got to knock out the muscle ray first.

I think I can still control my heat vision.

Zap

It worked, Superman.

We've regained control of our muscles.

Galloping gladiators! Let's get 'em.

No. They can't see that the ray is off.

But if they know we're free they will use

their portable muscle rays.

First we fake a fight and only one of us wins.

Then the rest of us play possum and get

taken off the field where we can rescue the Twins

and the navy scientists.

Right. I'll be the winner.

Serpentine is right up my alley.

Now, Hogaan.

Surface dwellers, fight to the finish.

Alright. Let's give him the battle of the century.

[dramatic music]

[Superman] The show's about to begin.

[Wonder Woman] Now for taking two for a short spin.

[cheering]

Nice acting, Robin.

It's time for a little trick roping.

[male narrator] As Aquaman throws the Magic Lasso

Wonder Woman telepathically orders it

to coil around herself.

Nice going, Wonder Woman.

Thud

[spectators cheering]

[grunting]

Time for a little flag waving.

[spectators cheering]

- Good show. - They think so.

Remove the defeated surface dwellers.

[dramatic music]

Let the main event begin.

Bring out Serpentine.

[conch blowing]

[cheering]

Order the surface dweller into Serpentine's tank.

Surface dweller, into the tank.

[music continues]

[male narrator] Is Serpentine too powerful for even the mighty Aquaman?

Will the other Super Friends come to his aid in time?

[intense music]

We'll dispose of them later.

I don't wanna miss Serpentine's

defeating the surface dweller.

Come on.

They're gone. Let's go.

We've got to locate the navy scientists

and the Wonder Twins.

My X-ray vision will spot them.

Zap

- I see them. - Great.

All you have to do is break through the walls, Superman.

I can't. The navy scientists are directly behind it.

But I know what I can do.

The Super Friends. How did you find us?

No time to explain. We've got to get out of here and fast.

Robin and I will take care of these two.

Good. Wonder Woman and I will get the Twins.

Bam bam bam

[male narrator] Meanwhile, Aquaman struggles valiantly

against Serpentine's giant claw.

I've got to get out of this grip. Ugh!

Screech screech

- The tank's going to break. - Look out.

- The tank's breaking. - Aah!

[spectators clamoring]

- The Serpentine's loose. - Save us!

Serpentine will get us!

Do something, Hogaan. Protect me.

[male narrator] Millions of gallons of water

spilled into the dungeons

flooding them.

[whimpering]

I wish I could have a drip-to-drip talk

with this water and tell it to scram.

This is no time to be spacey, Zan.

This way.

Creak

- Thanks, Superman. - Follow me.

swoosh swoosh swoosh

screech screech

[water gushing]

Stay back!

Looks like we've got a job to do.

Right. Let's go.

[crying] Anybody...

Holy ten-ton turtles! How will we stop him?

Quick. The Bat ropes.

[male narrator] And so, with teamwork

the Super Friends defeat the power of mighty Serpentine

and save the crowd of spectators.

Later, outside the ruined coliseum...

I hope you and your people have learned a lesson.

Yes. We know now that Tyrannic's way of ruling was wrong

and we have banished him.

It only takes one weak man to weaken an entire society.

And when people devote all of their attention

to destructive games, it's not long before

society itself is the target of their destruction.

So went the fall of ancient Rome.

We shall never rebuild our coliseum.

Instead we will let it remind us of the evil ruler who gave us

monsters and games instead of freedom.

Speaking of monsters, that Serpentine's lucky

I didn't get at him. I'd have showed him a thing or two.

[laughing]

[groaning]

[Jayna] You sure showed him, big brother.

[Gleek chattering]

How're ya doin' on the secret code word? Let's review.

The clue to the first part of the code word

was the last part of my name. That's "man."

The clue to the second part was what I did

to that old pot in the ship. That's right, "stir."

So, with the first clue, "man"

together with the second clue, "stir"

we get "man stir."

And that's a sound alike for a "monster"

which is today's code word.

out of a few simple items like these.

a 125 mile per hour super train.

The energy mass is growing too rapidly.

Our experimental perpetual energy could be disastrous

if it got out of hand.

[trilling]

Stand back! No one can survive its touch.

[intense music]

Speed is steady at 125 miles per hour.

Get ready to slow the train.

[dramatic music]

[speaking in Japanese]

[male narrator] Later, at the Hall of Justice...

Super Friends, you must help us immediately.

An experimental energy mass has overrun the engine

on a speeding commuter train to Tokyo!

Batman to Justice League, we're right near Japan.

- We'll handle it. - That we will, Atom.

[male narrator] Later, as the train continues to speed out of control...

[Batman] The train's right below us.

Take the controls, Robin, I'm going down

to the train on the Bat-ladder.

I may be able to give Batman an ounce of help.

We're working on the device to neutralize

the energy mass, Batman. One touch of it can be fatal.

There's little time.

The train is heading for its downhill run.

If the brakes are not applied soon

the train will hurtle off the tracks into a 1 000-foot gorge!

Looks like we'll be needing some superpower teamwork, Atom.

Right, Batman. I'm just small enough to get past

the energy mass and activate the braking system.

Robin and I will try to slow the train

by using the Batcopter's Bat devices.

[dramatic music]

Quick, Robin, lower the super steel Batcables.

Good thinking, Batman, we'll use the Batcopter's

Retro Rockets to slow the train.

Whirr whirr

- A little bit more, Robin. - Holy mountains! A tunnel.

Hey, here's all it takes to make that super model telescope.

Find four different sized spools like this around the house.

Start by lining up the spools on a silver straw or a stick

and gluing each spool together as it is stacked.

Brown poster paint will give it a leather look.

And add yellow trim for the brass bindings.

A great model of an old sailor's spyglass...

...for looking at, not through.

[intense music]

Robin! The emergency rockets.

[male narrator] Meanwhile, inside the train...

Pew pew pew

The energy mass.

Zap zap zap

[Atom] I've got to get around that thing.

And I know just the way.

Traveling through the instrument panel

got me right past the energy mass.

Ugh! The brake is sticking from the heat of the energy mass.

[male narrator] Meanwhile, as the train begins

its dangerous downhill run...

Okay, Robin, activate the Batcopter Retro Rockets.

Rockets on.

It's not working, Batman. I'll have to give her full power.

Robin!

[intense music]

Holy nine lives! That was close.

We're approaching the 1 000-foot gorge, Robin.

There's only time for one more attempt with the Batcables.

[Robin] Here they come, Batman.

The brakes should start to grab any second.

[male narrator] But as the train rounds a curve at high speed

Atom is shaken off the brake.

I better move quickly, or I'll be a cooked Atom.

Ugh! I've only got seconds to apply these brakes.

Hurry, Robin! It's our last chance.

[dramatic music]

- It's not working. - Holy brainstorms!

Why didn't I think of it before? The Bat-chute.

Good thinking, Robin. The train's starting to slow.

But it's not enough unless Atom applies the brakes immediately.

[intense music]

[Shiozaki] Well, Batman, our control device worked perfectly

The energy mass has been neutralized

and won't give us any more trouble.

I hope you're right, I don't look forward

to dealing with wild energy masses again.

Speaking of energy, mine's gone.

[yawning]

- Wake me up in a year. - Ha ha ha!

[siren blaring]

- Gee, it's Wonder woman! Hi! - Hello there.

I had a little trouble calling the fire department.

You should have an emergency list.

The numbers of the police department

ambulance service, doctor, and fire department.

But if I don't have that list?

Then dial 0 for the operator, and give the information.

But calling direct is quickest.

Thanks. I'm gonna make a list of emergency numbers right away.

And keep it by the phone.

[music continues]
