the manager called me and said,

"and you're no longer needed."

And it was heart-breaking.

Getting Busted taken away from me

made me realise
how much I wanted it.

Yeah. And it was only because
of that that McFly started.

It was the rejection from Busted
that was the catalyst for McFly.

And it all worked out perfectly.
I got to write songs for Busted.

We go on tour with them.
They're our best mates.

I am feeling really nervous,

but I'm hoping
to channel them nerves

and get through my performance.

I'm definitely gonna have to look
at the side of the stage

to find my daughter, Mila.

A lot of our fans, they're usually
women on the more mature side.

They really enjoy the show,
get worked up,

tell us we've got sexy knees.

We're going to just show them
exactly what we're bringing,

and I think we could do well.

Let's just do the best we can do.

The perks of being in the group
is we all have each other's backs,

and, say, if someone has an off day
or they miss something,

we can pick up the slack.

which is great to have.

My name is Nathan Grisdale.

I'm 29.
I'm a musician from Blackburn.

So, I started singing
around ten years ago.

I started posting videos online
from my bathroom.

I came up with the idea
to do personalised songs

where people would send me
their story,

whether it be
for a first dance song,

someone that's sadly lost
a loved one,

even a gender reveal song.
Like, you name it, I've done it.

For people to trust me
with their stories

and then me be able to digest that
into a song, it's very rewarding.

that I wrote for my son, Renan,
when he was in intensive care.

I was Nathan's number one fan.

I'm 20 years old,
and I'm a bar manager in Oxford.

doing admin, behind the bar,

There's a million different things
I have to do all the time.

But it's quite exciting.

I was born and raised in Vietnam,
had such a unique childhood.

When I was a kid,
I knew from the get-go

I wasn't quite supposed to be
in the form that I was given.

I was never meant to be
a boy or a man.

I always knew that I was trans.

I had an imaginary friend.

She was ultra-feminine, confident,

She was everything I wanted to be.

And when I moved to the UK,

she was who I had sort of become
in my transition.

had to go through.

But she's done it,

and I am so proud of
the young woman that she's become.
