has been remanufactured
by a new contractor

and has passed all qual
and acceptance tests.

of de-stacking the rocket,

in the Vertical Assembly Building

and some damage was done
to the LOX vent lines

and the liquid hydrogen fuel tank.

That stage will have to be
completely rebuilt before it can fly.

So we're replacing it
with the second stage
