[Follow Your Heart]

[Episode 35]

Suoluo, you're getting married?

I have to bear the consequences

of my actions.

You don't like him?

No.

Then...

Can you

not marry him?

I don't think so.

He's hard to deal with.

I'll help you deal with him.

What do you know, kid?

I know a lot.

Do you know how to clean up?

Of course.

I'll throw it away for you.

I...

Suoluo,

I don't want to be alone at home.

I'm scared.

Can you take me to school with you?

No.

Suoluo,

take me with you.

I promise I will behave.

Promise you won't talk nonsense

or run around.

If I find out,

I'll punish you severely.

Okay, thank you.

Let's go.

[Imperial Academy]

[Teacher of All Ages]

Ruoqian!

Ruoqian!

Ruoqian,

come here.

You are...

I am your Boss.

My Boss...

Boss?

Boss,

are you looking for me?

I'm not looking for you,

but helping you.

I'm going to meet Yan Biqing

and help you get rid of him.

Get rid of him?

With how

perceptive I am,

I can find his weakness

in just one day.

What weakness?

Everyone has a weakness.

If he's a gambler,

I'll set a bet

to make him go bankrupt.

If he is lustful...

I’ll ruin his reputation.

No, no, Boss.

Dean Yan's father

is the Assistant Minister of Justice.

Don't act recklessly.

That's even better.

The higher the position,

the merrier.

By then, they must cancel the wedding.

Boss,

take a seat.

I have to go to class.

Don't make any trouble.

Wait for me.

Let's come up with a long-term plan.

Seriously.

How dare you tell your Boss what to do?

Liu Ruoqian.

Dean.

You're lucky.

Mr. Cui

set up Jiannan Academy in Yizhou

and asked you to be a teacher.

In Yizhou,

no one will care

whether you're a slave or not.

Think about it.

Thank you, zdean.

Liu Ruoqian,

this is the best path for you.

Don't covet what you can't have.

I don't understand what you're talking about.

That day,

I went to Suoluo's house to deliver the wedding dress.

Weren't you there too?

Dean Yan, mind your words.

Don't insult the chancellor's reputation.

Is her legitimate fiancé

or the man hiding in her room

the one insulting her reputation?

The chancellor and I are innocent.

Is hiding in the room

and engaging in illicit acts

a type of innocence?

Don't talk about her like that.

To tell you the truth,

I'm not marrying

the Imperial Academy's chancellor

or Jiang Suoluo.

I'm marrying the Duchess of Yuejiang.

As for

who her lover is

or how many she has,

I don't care at all.

If you can take good care of her,

I will

give you an extra reward.

Bastard!

You...

Come with me.

Where are we going?

I will make her pay tenfold

how hard

you're hitting me now.

How dare you!

Stop! Stop!

He hit me!

Did you see that?

Stop,

Liu Ruoqian!

Chancellor.

He hit me!

Liu Ruoqian,

how dare you hit a teacher

at the Imperial Academy?

He insulted you first.

Education lies in respecting your teacher.

Haven't you learned it before?

Of course—

You're just a slave.

If the Imperial Academy hadn't made

an exception to admit you,

how could you be studying here?

Apologize to Dean Yan.

I don't think an apology is necessary.

According to the rules of the Imperial Academy—

Liu Ruoqian,

what you did today

was a disgrace to our school.

You must be punished.

Take off your outer robe.

Bring me the ruler.

As a gentleman said,

there is no limit to learning.

Recite it.

Recite it!

As a gentleman said,

there is no limit to learning.

Indigo

comes from blue,

yet is darker than blue.

Ice

is made of water,

yet is colder than water.

Don't be so harsh.

He did it for you—

I'll beat you too if you keep talking.

Go away.

Continue.

Straight wood can be used in a chalk line,

while it can also be turned into a wheel.

Thus, it becomes round.

I've received my punishment.

Is there anything else

you ask of me?

Ruoqian.

Yan Biqing deliberately provoked you to make a mistake.

I hit you in public—

I understand.

You hit me

because you wanted to de-escalate things

and protect me.

But I don't want to thank you.

Anyway, you can't leave the Imperial Academy.

You can't give up on your dreams

and ambitions.

I can give up.

Liu Ruoqian.

Mr. Cui asked me to teach in Yizhou.

I've made up my mind.

I'll leave in a few days.

Yizhou is far away.

It will take a long time

to come back.

Then I won't come back.

You sinister villain.

I’ll teach you a lesson.

Mr. Yan,

how did you get hurt?

It's just a trick.

Why are you here?

Is it an emergency?

Here's the thing.

The next batch of goods

need your help.

Goods?

What goods?

Okay.

I got it.

Before I get married,

don't let Jiang Xinbai get any leverage on me,

or else

the outcome will be worse than death.

It's him?

You won't tell the truth?

Fine.

Then don't talk anymore.

Bai Yuan said he dismissed

all his men.

Why did this person

appear in the Imperial Academy?

What's his relationship

with Yan Biqing?

Don't worry.

Our chief has his own plan.

Suoluo,

come with me!

Hurry up!

Go.

I want to be alone.

Go out and play by yourself.

Take me to the Jiang Xinbai's house right now!

I said

I want to be alone.

You're really...

Jiang Suoluo,

if you don't want to marry

a Zornia boss,

hurry and take me there!

What did you say?

Who are you?

Jiang Xinbai?

Jiang Xinbai!

What are you doing?

Jiang Xinbai?

What—

I don't have time to play hide-and-seek with you.

Hey!

You...

Brat.

Are you okay?

You're at home?

I need to find someone.

Brat?

Did you see the kid

who just came in?

Stop looking.

That was me.

What?

That kid.

Are you kidding me?

How could you be a child?

Not only was I that child,

but also your nephew.

Greetings, Aunt.

Which part of the Jiang family are you from?

Uncle, Aunt.

I'll visit you

some other time.

See you.

Aunt.

Could it be...

Come in.

Stay outside.

No need to come in.

-Yes. -Yes.

When we first met at the Ghost Market,

did you also...

That's right.

I was shapeshifting.

Jiang Xinbai escorted me out.

Shapeshift?

You...

You can shapeshift?

Zornia

can really make people shapeshift?

How could this happen?

I've tried all kinds of herbs since I was a kid,

so I'm immune to all poisons.

If someone else ate Zornia,

they would have died.

Although I survived,

I got this strange disease.

Since you were poisoned,

there must be a cure.

How about I take you back to the palace

to see an imperial physician?

It's useless.

My mother went through all the medical books

and took me to doctors for so many years

to no avail.

This strange disease

must have made you suffer a lot.

You...

You don't think I'm weird?

To be honest,

I did

think you were strange before.

I thought that was your personality.

I didn't know

you became like this

because you were framed.

Nanxing,

don't worry.

There must be a solution.

After these treacherous people

are eliminated,

I will find a solution

with Xinbai.

Why

are you two here?

Xinbai,

if I hadn't found out

accidentally today,

how long were you going to hide it from me?

Suoluo,

since you already know

this secret,

how long do you plan on

keeping it a secret for Yan Nanxing?

My sister-in-law's secret

is my secret.

I won't say anything

even if my life is in danger.

Enough, stop teasing her.

I have something important

to tell you.

Mr. Yao!

Mr. Yao.

What's wrong with him?

We received a report this morning

a merchant in the south of the city had a poison attack

and injured his wife badly.

Yes.

Someone reported him to the Inspection Office

and we arrested him.

People in the capital are buying Zornia again?

Ask our men

to the south of the city with me.

Yes.

Where are you going?

Where are you going?

Don't move!

Don't move. Behave yourself.

Behave!

Kneel down!

Mr. Yao.

Tell me.

Where did you buy the Zornia?

I didn’t expect

the Baiyuan Gang to be involved

with Yan Biqing.

It seems

that the mastermind

behind the people chasing after us

in Yazhou

was Yan Biqing.

Not only that,

but Yan Biqing and his father

were also the ones who killed my father.

No wonder

Yan Biqing went to the State of Miluo

as soon as Xinbai returned to the capital.

Turns out he was afraid you would accuse him.

That's why he ran away to avoid trouble.

How scheming.

Suoluo,

Yan Biqing is sinister, vicious,

and ambitious.

You can't drag out

your engagement with him.

Tomorrow,

I will ask

His Majesty to cancel your engagement.

You can't do that now.

If we force His Majesty

to break off

the engagement at this time,

we will alert them.

I'm afraid Yan Biqing and his father

will get desperate.

This might be worse for you two.

Yan Biqing

is capable

of anything.

I'm afraid you can't handle it.

Xinbai, don't worry.

In the Imperial Academy,

he's still a little afraid of me.

He doesn't dare to be too arrogant.

I'll try to buy time.

After you find the evidence,

we can bring them

to justice.

The only evidence now

is Bai Yuan.

Bai Yuan?

Isn't he

Blossom Beauty's worker?

What's so hard about catching him?

But

you must treat him

as you normally do.

We can't let him suspect us.

Suoluo is right.

Don't worry.

I will stabilize him.

I'll cooperate with you

to arrest him later

and testify for you.

[Inspection Office]

This is an important matter.

Block the news.

I'll report to Mr. Jiang immediately.

My lord.

What's wrong, Yao?

Why are you in such a hurry?

People in the capital

were found to be in contact with Zornia again.

There are a lot of people.

The situation is worse than before.

Go and find Shang Bieli.

Ask him to check

if any mistakes

occurred in the foreign goods

that entered the capital recently,

or

if any Jinwu Guard

has neglected their duty.

I understand.

I'll do it now.

It has spread throughout

the capital already?

It seems that the Zornia

has something to do

with Bai Yuan and Yan Biqing.

We have to strike first.

Yan Nanxing.

Where have you been

these days?

Jiang Xinbai went out with me

for some errands.

How are things?

You must've been busy in the shop

without me.

Have you adjusted?

Me?

I can handle Blossom Beauty.

That's good.

Hey,

where's my water?

What's wrong?

Nothing.

Go ahead.

[Closed]

Boss.

Ruoqian.

You really decided to go to Yizhou?

You don't regret it?

Why should I stay?

I'm not needed here.

How can you say that?

Boss,

you know what I want to say.

Boss,

can you be friends with Suoluo?

I mean

close friends.

She is

straightforward,

short-tempered,

and won't admit defeat.

She needs a friend

to help her.

Also,

she's not good at taking care of herself.

She always throws things around

and loses things when going out.

She eats meals erratically.

If no one can...

Why am I worrying about this?

You're her sister-in-law.

I bet you're closer than family.

Ruoqian,

look at you.

Even if you go to Yizhou,

your heart won't go with you.

Boss,

I beg you.

Don't persuade me to stay.

I'm afraid I'll change my mind.

This won't be good

for either of us.

I'll come back tomorrow

for the last day of work.

I won't come the day after that.

I'll accompany my parents

for the rest of the time

and not think about anything.

Miss,

please come in.

Is Ruoqian

here?

Ruoqian

is going to Yizhou tomorrow.

Maybe

he will never come back.

Suoluo,

do you understand what I'm saying?

[Shanli Hall]

I belong to Suoluo,

Liu Ruoqian,

you're mine.

Ruoqian,

I know

you didn't say goodbye to your parents

because you don't want them to be sad.

But they told me

that as long as you are

safe there,

write to them.

Let them know how you are doing

and they will be happy.

After I leave,

I'll need to ask you

to take care of my parents.

Of course.

When you get there,

you must write to me and Sai'er often.

Please help me

explain to Sai'er.

She will cry because I left

without saying goodbye.

Sir, it's getting late.

It's time to go.

Ruoqian,

go ahead.

Let me see you off.

Okay.

Are...

Are we still leaving?

He can't leave.

He'll never leave.

Why don't you send me home?

Okay.

Aren't we a bit

too high-profile today?

No.

I want everyone in the capital

know that

[Shanli Hall]

Liu Ruoqian is mine.

Wait for me.

After I

take care of everything,

I'll propose to you

legitimately.

Okay.

I'll wait for you.

By the way, Sai'er,

has anyone said

you carry the scent of the seedlings?

My mother gave birth to me

in a seedling field.

So since I was young, I...

You can smell now?

I think my sense of smell is recovering slowly.

Well,

let’s go back and tell Ms. Yan.

She will be happy for you.

Let's go.

Shang,

I think I smell

Zornia.

Wait.

Bro,

what's the matter?

Commander of the Jinwu Guards.

Officer.

Open the box. I need to inspect it.

The goods we're transporting

are tributes from the Western Region.

This is the document from the Court of State Ceremonial.

Cut the crap.

Open it.

My lord,

there's nothing, right?

Can we go now?

No, my lord.

Please don't make it difficult for us.

If we're delayed,

the Court of State Ceremonial will punish us.

Body search.

Chief!

What happened?

Our men were caught.

The tributes to the capital

from the Western Regions

are handled by Yan Biqing.

Why did things go wrong

with him?

The tribute was supposed to be transported to the capital,

but

they ran into a man and a woman.

This man was quite powerful.

He was some

commander-in-chief.

Shang Bieli?

You know him?

He's friends with Jiang Xinbai.

It seems that

Jiang Xinbai will find out soon

about this.

Jiang Xinbai has always been

cautious of you.

If the Inspection Office

gets involved in this,

it won't be good for you.

Ridiculous.

I'm not afraid of him.

Chief,

now is not the time

to act on impulse.

The whole Baiyuan Gang is counting on you.

Er,

how about this?

You and the rest of the gang

go back to Tingzhou first.

You won't come with us?

I have other things to do.

Wait for me in Tingzhou.

Chief!

Yan Nanxing

doesn't love you at all.

No matter how much you do for her,

she won't appreciate it.

A great man doesn't need a wife.

You are the leader of a gang.

Don’t let Yan Nanxing

disrupt you.

If you don’t leave with us,

I’ll kill Yan Nanxing now.

How dare you!

I'll do anything for you.

Er,

I came to the capital

just for her.

Zornia is second.

Chief.

Don't worry.

I won't get caught.

Wait for me in Tingzhou.

Chief!

At this time tomorrow,

I'll wait for you here.

Whether you're alive or dead,

I'll accompany you.

[Jinwu Guards]

These people

hid Zornia on themselves

and disguised as drivers to sneak into the city.

It's you?

You're from the Baiyuan Gang?

Bai Yuan?

Tell me.

Where is your

distribution point in the capital?

Speak!

I'll kill you if you don't!

Kill me if you want.

Where is Bai Yuan now?

Mr. Jiang went to investigate personally.

Commander Shang,

I'll return to the Inspection Office

and send men

to capture Bai Yuan.

Also, the clue of the tribute

definitely has something to do with the Yan father and son.

Commander Shang, please investigate it.

The Yan family?

Yan Biqing?

Bai Yuan came to the capital

to cooperate with Yan Biqing.

Leave it to me.

This time, I will capture

all these criminals.

[Notice of arrest]

Have the guys watch carefully.

All pedestrians and wagons

must be checked.

Don't let anyone go unchecked.

The city gate is already closed.

Bai Yuan's group

can't escape.

The rest of you,

split up!

Are you crazy?

How dare you come here?

Don't you know that the whole city

is searching for you?

They're after me, not you.

What are you afraid of?

What am I afraid of?

Your men and goods

are now in Jiang Xinbai's hands.

Just in case,

I can help you get rid of them.

My men

won't betray me.

Even in death.

I won't betray you either.

What are you afraid of?

It better be like this.

I'm here to tell you

I have my own plan.

Just stand by and watch.

Chief Bai, you're a good friend.

In that case,

give me the rest of the goods.

I can help you sell them.

Help me?

Do you believe yourself?

I...

I'm really worried

about your safety.

If you don't want to leave the capital,

I can find you

a safe place

to hide in.

Yan Biqing.

Remember.

Before I die,

I'll definitely kill you first.

Also,

don't touch my people,

including Yan Nanxing.

Got it.

I won't touch them.

You got it?

Yes.

Threatening me?

How dare you!

You're like a dying fish,

but you still dare to stroll through the capital.

I'd like to see

how you get scaled and skinned.

Split up!

Yes.
