[Follow Your Heart]

[Episode 3]

We've worked together

in Lanna Village.

Why are you still doing this to me?

Do you have some

special fetish?

Do you need treatment?

Why did you tie me up?

I'm talking to you.

Where are we going?

Back to Heman.

Heman?

Again?

You're so eager to meet General Nan.

Are you gonna use me as a pawn?

You know a lot about Zornia,

want to meet General Nan,

and even let me burn

the Zornia field.

Are you...

from another faction

smuggling Zornia?

Shut up.

Don't associate me

with that thing.

I'm relieved then.

Zornia's rampant despite multiple bans.

Even His Majesty sent a general

to guard Heman

to prevent its import.

Unfortunately, His Majesty sent the wrong person.

Do you think

General Nan owns that Zornia field

in Lanna Village?

If we go back to Heman,

we'll be caught!

Don't worry.

I'll keep you safe.

Easier said than done.

I don't believe it.

It's untied.

Did he untie me on purpose?

Should I run away or not?

I have to go back to find the antidote.

Instead of taking the risk alone,

it's safer to be

with this guy.

Big Bro.

Look.

I'm wanted now.

Is it wise to just

walk back like this?

What if I run into a constable

or bounty hunter?

What do you want to do?

[Posthouse]

Waiter.

Please come in.

Get me two rooms.

Two meat and two vegetable dishes, no wine.

Coming

right up!

Thank you.

Don't you drink?

I rarely see men who don't drink.

That means you haven't seen

enough men.

Why are you looking at me?

I'm taking

your advice

to look at men.

You were so worried,

yet you can joke with me now.

I can't escape anyway.

Might as well take it easy.

Besides,

didn't you say

you'll keep me safe?

You trust everything I say?

How can a martial artist

be so careless?

You don't understand.

If you can't

roam the martial world fearlessly,

you might as well hide in

a safe haven.

Martial artists should be

more open-minded.

We'll

be friends today.

As for tomorrow,

we'll see.

Are you really not going to tell me?

Tell you what?

Since you wanted to arrest me,

why did you let me go

at the shabby temple?

Why do you think I let you go?

Is it because...

you can't recognize me?

Come on.

No!

Xinbai, you're awake.

Xinbai.

Who are you?

I'm your mother.

Xinbai!

Don't come over.

What's wrong?

I'm your mother.

Xinbai!

Duke hit his head

and blood stasis pressured his brain,

damaging the area

for facial recognition.

He's now face-blind.

You haven't told me yet.

Sometimes, there's no logic

behind one's actions.

Things are just done

on a whim.

You can't even lie.

Forget it.

Yan Nanxing.

Why don't you tell me

how you offended

General Nan?

The dishes are here.

The dishes are all here.

Please enjoy.

I have to explain it sooner or later.

Let's test this excuse

on him first.

Here's the thing.

The person in Her Ladyship's room that day

wasn't a man,

but a woman.

She's my senior.

I was missing

some herbs,

so I asked

my senior to help me.

As I went to prepare

the medicine,

only my senior

and Lady Gaya

were left in the room,

causing a misunderstanding.

General's Residence is heavily guarded.

You think all the guards are blind?

This is a secret that can't be told.

Don't you know?

My senior was born

with a masculine face

and sturdy physique.

She doesn't like being seen.

We are a trio of traveling doctors,

but outsiders only know about

my mother

and I.

While

being chased by soldiers, she fell into the water.

She told me all about

how you protected her.

Yan Nanxing.

You're full of nonsense

and so absurd.

It was clearly a man

who fell into the water.

Why insist it's a woman?

Burning the Zornia field

seems satisfying

but is in fact troublesome.

Impulsive, reckless, and cunning.

You are

really untrustworthy.

I didn't know

I'm so likeable.

What?

We've only spent a few days together

but you've described me

so precisely.

You must fancy me.

You're hopeless.

Don't deny it.

Please come in.

Bring me good wine and dishes!

Sure.

It’s so lively in Heman City.

What's the gossip?

Tell us now!

Didn't you see

the wanted posters

throughout the city?

I did!

I've met the mother and daughter

on the wanted poster.

I heard her daughter's pretty.

Yes, she is.

A loose woman too. Unusual!

Loose?

Has she no shame?

Tell us

what's going on.

I heard

the mother and daughter rented a house,

where

different men

come and go daily.

Old, middle-aged, and young;

all sorts!

Just super messy!

Are you serious?

Not only that,

some even saw a child.

A child?

Even a child?

There's no father,

so it must be

a bastard!

Bastard!

Yummy!

That's nothing.

To be wanted,

they must've committed many sins.

It could be deception

or even murder and robbery!

It's so complicated?

Why didn't that loose woman

come to us?

Who is it?

Who attacked me?

What a foul mouth.

A disgrace to mankind.

Is it your business?

You must be one of

her clients.

Cut the crap!

Attack!

I was wrong. I'm sorry.

Go!

Hurry!

Hurry and go!

Eat up.

[Posthouse]

Here.

What's wrong?

Are you down too?

It's just nonsense.

Nonsense.

Is gossiping fun?

Spreading nonsense!

They even

said they

saw me with many men.

Are they

blind?

I have a bastard kid?

You're the bastards!

Slandering others behind

their backs.

Why don't you write a novel?

Jerks.

Bastards!

Do you think I want this life?

Do you think I want

to change every day?

Who doesn't want

a stable life?

Who doesn't want to

hide at home with family

and make friends happily?

I want to make friends too.

What did I do wrong?

I clearly

did nothing wrong.

Why are the Heavens doing this to me?

I'm trying my best.

I'm doing so much to help others.

Why can't you

be nicer to me?

Why?

Leave.

Go find your mother and senior.

Leave?

You're letting me go?

You believe me?

No.

Then why?

I don't believe your words,

but I believe

you're not a villain

and have

your own difficulties.

But I've changed my mind.

Anyway,

you said you can protect me.

I'll go back to Heman with you

and explain things

to that General Nan.

Being wanted isn't fun

anyway.

Risking it to go to Heman

just to explain things?

Like I'd believe that.

Let me ask you.

Why did you insist on entering his residence

that day?

Let's not pry into

each other's business.

Let's just be work partners.

That General Nan

is so strange.

Even if it's to find your antidote,

don't risk it

by going

to Heman.

What do you mean?

His wine

doesn't get you drunk!

Isn't he an alcoholic?

That's why something's off.

I know what you want.

I can help you.

Do you suspect

the Zornia field in Lanna Village

belonged to General Nan?

I have two pieces

of info

about him.

If you

promise to take me back

and protect me,

I'll tell you.

To show my sincerity,

I'll tell you one now.

Everyone knows

Nan Jifeng's an alcoholic.

Actually, he's never been drunk.

Something's off with his wine.

Isn't that

some valuable info?

The other's even more important.

If you send me back,

I'll tell you.

Yan Nanxing.

Are you afraid of death

or not?

I am.

But there are things I find

scarier than death

and more important

than living.

Since we're

both headed to General's Residence,

let's cooperate.

I don't trust you.

But...

what you just said about

things scarier

than death

and more important

than living

interests me.

So it's a deal?

Remember,

it's a cooperation.

I'm not your pawn.

Fine.

I'm your pawn,

happy?

Let's set off.

Let's go.

Come on.

Don't just stand there.

Get on the boat.

[Heman]

When you see the general,

just explain things.

If they don't believe you,

I'll vouch for you.

You have to protect me.

It doesn't matter.

You're lucky anyway.

That won't do.

I'm a coward.

You agreed to cooperate.

You can't ignore me.

It's you again!

Give me this wanted criminal.

Tomorrow at the back door of General's Residence,

you'll get your reward.

Lieutenant General Li?

Where do you want to take her?

General's Residence's

prison.

Legal trials

must be conducted

before a suspect

becomes a prisoner.

She should first be

detained by the local government

for interrogation by the general.

You want to arrest her

without any evidence.

Where's the respect for the law?

-Know your place... -Stop!

Did you just say

I have no respect for the law?

I dare not.

I was

defending

your prestige.

Your men making illegitimate arrests

doesn't reflect well on you,

don't you think?

Then I have to thank you.

Imprisoning someone is

illegal.

But it should be legal for me to

invite you to my residence.

[General's Residence]

That's what happened.

I ask for your discretion.

It sounds strange,

but it makes sense.

General.

What do you think?

If you think it makes sense,

then it does.

Then why did you run away

[Righteous and Fearless]

instead of explaining it?

Your Ladyship, unlike you,

there are some people

who are unreasonable.

I was afraid of complicating things.

That's true.

Since it’s a misunderstanding,

Dr. Yan,

where are your senior and mother?

They left

to tend to other patients.

So they asked me

come explain to you two.

Even if I'm wronged,

I've to finish up

my medical treatments.

That’s great.

You're such

an ethical doctor.

Not long

after you left,

your medicine

really worked.

Putting up wanted posters

was too hasty.

But General said

not to remove them

as they could bring

you back.

Dr. Yan.

Please don't take it to heart.

Why would I?

Besides,

the gentleman who

escorted me back treated me so well.

Am I right?

Really?

Your surname is...

Xi.

Xi?

It's a rare surname.

When I was young,

I heard of

a famous constable

with this surname.

Times have changed.

How can an ordinary

tea merchant like me

compare to

such a big shot?

You've sent several

visit requests, right?

Yes.

I see.

What do

you want?

Tea doesn't sell well in Central Plain.

A friend

tipped me off about

getting your help

to do business in Heman.

What friend?

What business?

What help?

My friend...

I can't reveal their identity.

As for the business...

A business exclusive to Heman,

of course.

As for the help...

It's up to you.

Thank you, General.

Hold your horses.

Didn't your friend

mention my temper?

To do business and associate with me,

pass this round first.

We'll talk when we've drunk enough.

Everyone knows

Nan Jifeng's an alcoholic.

Actually, he's never been drunk.

Something's off with his wine.

You won't drink?

Then take your greeting gift

and don't come back.

I'll risk my life to accompany you.

General.

This wine...

i-is good.

Good? Then drink it.

Keep drinking.

Drink!

I haven't had enough.

Let's go. You're drunk.

Where do you think you're going?

Bye, General,

-Your Ladyship. -General.

Where are you going? Keep drinking!

Remember our deal.

Careful.

Keep drinking.

Practice and come back tomorrow.

I haven't had enough!

Why did you drink so much?

Yan Nanxing.

Don't fall into the river!

Careful.

Yan Nanxing.

Yan Nanxing.

I'm here.

Yan Nanxing.

What's wrong with you?

Yan Nanxing.

What is it?

Yan Nanxing!

What are you doing?

Are you trying to

take advantage of me?

I don't trust you,

as I can't see you clearly.

I really can't.

What?

These are... your eyebrows.

Your eyes.

Your nose.

Your mouth.

Yan Nanxing.

What do you look like?

I really can't see clearly.

I...

So I...

I don't dare believe you.

Forget it.

It's not my first kiss.

Just think of it as a dog's bite.

You're bleeding.

I-I'm... I'm fine.

You're bleeding so much.

It must hurt.

Why are you so careless?

Look at you.

Dr. Yan.

Excuse me.

Carry on.

I...

Yan Nanxing.

Here.

Sit down.

Slowly.

Don't move.

It's loose.

Let me wrap it for you.

Does it hurt?

No.

Really?

That's good.

Remember,

I wrapped this for you.

My head hurts.

Yan Nanxing.

I want to watch fireworks.

Watch fireworks.

The beautiful ones

that are big...

and dazzling.

Look.

Those

big

and beautiful ones...

Filling the entire sky.

♫I'll fetch you the moon in my heart♫

♫I dream of the courtyard♫

♫It knows my heart♫

♫I want to return triumphantly with you♫

So beautiful.

♫We can listen to the rain♫

Of course it's beautiful.

It's so expensive.

♫And watch the snowfall in the west hills♫

I paid so much for them.

Haven't you seen fireworks before?

♫On the streets, the alleys, and the palace♫

Must you watch it today?

♫We shall always meet♫

Are you done?

♫I only hope you fall into my heart♫

Bro, I want to go back...

♫The fire warms winter days♫

♫Spring can take its time♫

♫Everything is as you wish♫

♫We meet with our hearts♫

♫Let's not miss each other♫

♫You're what I always think about♫

♫I'm willing to go to the sky for you♫

♫To pluck the moon above the clouds♫

♫I'd knit a whole galaxy for you♫

♫We meet with our hearts♫

♫Let's not miss each other♫

♫I'll grow old for you♫

♫I want this flower to bloom and never wilt♫

♫And that's all I need for the rest of my life♫

♫Promise me you'll fall in love with me♫

♫And never break your promise♫

♫We meet with our hearts♫

♫Let's not miss each other♫

♫You're what I always think about♫

♫I'm willing to go to the sky for you♫

♫To pluck the moon above the clouds♫

♫I'd knit a whole galaxy for you♫

♫We meet with our hearts♫

♫Let's not miss each other♫

♫I'll grow old for you♫

♫I want this flower to bloom and never wilt♫

♫And that's all I need for the rest of my life♫

♫I'll never break my promise♫

Mr. Xi.

Can you recognize me?

What are you talking about? I don't get it.

Now you're playing dumb?

Are you going to lose your memory later?

Can you recognize me?

Recognize her?

Why's she asking that?

What happened?

Yes, even if you turn into ashes.

Am I that unforgettable?

Where am I?

You're in

the General's Residence...

My guest room.

Why am I here?

Why are you here?

Ask yourself.

You were drunk and refused to leave.

I had to bring you back.

I was drunk?

What else did I do?

What did you do?

Ask yourself.

You

touched me from head to toe.

You even

told me many, many things.

What did I say?

You said...

your surname is Xi.

You're a tea merchant.

You came to Heman

to do business.

You also said

you feel an affinity with me

and want to give me

all your earnings.

You're lying again.

I couldn't have told you all that.

Drunk words are sober thoughts.

Since you said I lied,

it can only prove...

your surname isn't Xi

and you aren't

a tea merchant here for business.

You're lying.

You don't scare me.

Stare all you want!

But don't worry.

I won't foil your plans.

I can tell

you're also a good man

with ulterior motives.

A good man?

How can you be so sure?

You've been protecting me all the way

and saved

Lanna villagers with me.

I have

a sense of loyalty.

Since you protected me,

if you need anything,

I'll help you.

As long as it

doesn't cost money

or my life.

It can't cost money or your life.

Then what can you do for me?

Isn't it obvious?

I can put my beauty to good use.

As a girl,

can you not be so...

So...

So... So...

shameless, right?

I really

don't have

the slightest sense of shame.

You...

Are you really angry?

That makes me

so happy.

What are you doing?

What do you want?

Are you really this kind of person?

It's broad daylight.

Can't you

take a joke?

I never

joke around.

Yan Nanxing.

I don't care about your past.

Now, remember this.

From the moment we came back

to Heman,

every moment

is no longer a joke.
