Sensory Couple

Episode 12

[Daughter]

Choi Eun Seol... You know me, don't you?

You've seen me before, haven't you?

Officer Choi!

No, don't do it!

Please, don't do it!

It'll only make you a murderer like him.

I need to go find my dad.

Dad...

Dad!

Dad...

Oh Cho Rim!

Cho Rim... Are you okay?

Wake up, Cho Rim!

- What happened? - What's wrong with Cho Rim?

I think she's shocked. I need to bring her to the hospital.

Kwon Jae Hee is passed out in front of the entrance...

because I struck him.

You didn't kill him, did you?

- Go to the hospital. - Yes, sir.

We see each other quite frequently these days.

What brings you here at this late hour?

We've received a report for a missing person.

His name is Oh Jae Pyo.

The signal from his mobile phone came from here.

Mr. Oh is in your house, isn't he?

Yes, he is.

What?

You said he's inside?

Yes.

He had a bit too much wine and is sleeping in my bed.

Let me see.

I can bring him out here.

You shouldn't try to enter someone's house forcibly.

Wait here. I'll bring him out.

[Hey, I'm rather drunk right now. Do you think you can come pick me up?]

[Delete]

Mr. Kwon!

You're up. Have you sobered up a bit?

I got drunk way too quickly. Please excuse my behavior.

It's fine. Would you like something to eat?

I dropped my phone here!

No, I should eat at home.

Sure.

But you have guests outside.

What? Guests?

Yes.

Do you think he's speaking the truth when he says Mr. Oh is sleeping in there?

If it's a lie, then...

Should we just go in?

Let's get him before he runs away.

One, two, three!

This is Mr. Oh Jae Pyo.

Yes...

I guess my daughter filed a missing persons report, but nothing happened.

I couldn't get in touch with her because I got drunk.

I see...

I'll get going, then.

- Thank you for everything. - Sure, take care.

- I'll get going first. - Okay.

Do you have any further questions?

No.

How's your breathing?

It's gotten more comfortable.

And how about your vomiting?

It's gotten better after I vomited the last time.

Call me immediately if you feel any dizziness or suffocation.

Okay.

She's stable now. I think she fainted due to the shock.

Okay. Thank you.

Sure.

I got a call telling me that your father is home.

I see.

So you don't need to worry. Do you need anything else?

I'm fine.

I'd rather hear about what happened when we were at Chef Kwon's house.

I'll tell you tomorrow. You should rest tonight.

Call me if you need anything. I'll be outside.

He called me Choi Eun Seol.

Kwon Jae Hee...

called me Choi Eun Seol.

And he asked me if I remember him.

So he really is the chain murderer, isn't he?

Indubitably.

Did Kwon Jae Hee...

try to kill me just now?

Anyway...

It could've been really dangerous.

To be honest, I can't recognize people's faces very well.

Have you heard of prosopagnosia? It's not that rare.

Kwon Jae Hee can't recognize people's faces.

He has prosopagnosia.

Are you serious?

Yes.

When he sees someone...

he can't tell whom it is unless he hears the voice first.

He uses the voice and various memories to recognize the person.

So he couldn't recognize you when he saw you before?

He didn't recognize me.

That's why I made sure not to utter a word.

That was very smart. It could've been really dangerous.

It could've been really dangerous if you hadn't come.

Thank you.

Don't wear those clothes again either.

He probably recognizes people by their clothes too.

Okay.

I have something to tell you.

I do, too.

I...

know that I'm the witness.

I know that my real name is Choi Eun Seol.

So you knew too.

Yes.

I should've realized it...

when I heard my real name is Choi Eun Seol.

But it took me a while to realize it.

Because I'm the witness...

and because my name is Choi Eun Seol...

Because of me...

your sister died.

I'm so sorry.

No. It's not because of you.

Nothing changes even if you deny it.

She died instead of me.

No.

That bastard killed my sister. That's all.

It has nothing to do with you. So don't think that way.

But I do think that way.

I just realized that...

you broke up with me for that reason.

It's a ridiculous reason. So I can't accept it.

Cho Rim...

don't worry about all those things. Just leave them up to me.

I'll love. You'll just receive it.

Just stay with me. Don't go anywhere else.

I can't.

I feel so guilty, I can't do that.

Why are you hiding the fact that Cho Rim is the witness of the chain murders?

I felt bad for Cho Rim, who lost her parents in such a cruel way.

I didn't want to see her being dragged from police station to police station...

only because she's the sole witness...

struggling to remember the memory she doesn't want to remember.

And...

once her memory comes back...

I wanted to catch the culprit myself.

Have you been following the investigation through our Chief?

That's right.

And that's why you approached Kwon Jae Hee.

But it seems like I failed.

Now that Kwon Jae Hee knows that your daughter is the witness...

I think it'd be for the best if you stay apart from Cho Rim.

We'll arrange a place for you to stay.

Cho Rim...

Please take care of her...

Don't worry.

So where are you going?

I'll call you once I get there.

Anyway, are you really okay now?

Of course!

I'm your daughter. I'm very strong!

I'm sorry that I can't be with you.

Trust the members of the investigation team...

and do as they tell you.

Okay, Dad. Thank you so much.

Don't mention it.

I'll get going, then.

Please take care of my daughter.

Please be careful out there.

I'll bring you home.

I'm fine.

Don't be like that. Let's go.

It's during the day...

and the road to my house is pretty crowded.

It's fine. I can go by myself.

Okay. Call me once you're home.

Oh Cho Rim!

Are you okay?

Stay right here.

Are you okay? You must be very startled.

What the heck happened here...

Why...

Drink this. It'll make you feel better.

Thank you.

I need to see if this was done by Kwon Jae Hee or a random burglar.

Let's check if you're missing anything.

Make sure to check everything.

I don't think I'm missing anything special...

Look thoroughly.

The picture that was in here...

He took my picture.

Picture?

It's Kwon Jae Hee.

I'm certain that he was here.

Judging from how he stole my picture...

I'm certain that he didn't recognize me.

Let's go.

To where?

It's dangerous. You can't stay here.

I'm not telling you to come with me because you're Oh Cho Rim.

Right now, you're a victim who's being chased by a murderer.

You don't need anything here. Just come with me.

You can stay here for a while. At least until you get a new place.

I can stay at another place nearby.

So don't worry about me.

I'm now taking your home away.

Not at all.

I also have a key.

Make sure you use the chain lock when you're home.

So it won't open with just a key.

Don't let anyone in here except me.

And call me first when you head out.

And also...

don't tell anyone that you're staying here. Not even your dad.

Okay.

I'll be only three minutes away from here. So rest easy.

It wouldn't be as comfortable as your own home...

but make yourself at home.

Any questions?

Do you really have a place to stay?

Yes, one of my colleagues lives across the street.

I'll get going then. Make yourself at home!

Okay.

Make yourself at home!

Okay.

Why are you standing? Sit down.

Make yourself at home!

You can take your time to pack.

No, I don't need to take anything. Make yourself at home!

Well...

I forgot to tell you one thing...

Don't open the windows.

Just don't go anywhere near the windows.

Someone might recognize you from the outside.

Okay.

I'll really get going then. Make yourself at home!

- Hello? - Yes?

I told you to not stand near the windows!

Can you see me?

I can see you very clearly!

Where are you?

I said, stay away from the windows!

Okay.

I'm hanging up.

So, you came back to wash because your colleague doesn't allow you to wash there?

Yes.

He's very conscious about his water bill.

I thought he bought you dinner and let you stay at his place.

But he doesn't let you wash at his place?

Ridiculous, isn't he?

What a weird colleague you have!

I have to go to work! You're late for your thing too, right?

Hurry up, Officer Choi! The elevator is here!

It seems like there are a lot of newlyweds in this building.

You guys look great together! You'll live a happy life together!

- Well... - Thank you, ma'am!

Where are you going? I'll give you a ride.

I thought you were running late too. It's fine.

Okay.

Make sure you only stay in crowded places. And call me when you're home, okay?

Okay, don't worry.

I'll see you later!

Have a nice day.

This was the only quiet place I could find.

Is it okay?

Yes, it is.

I reached out to you because I need to ask you a favor.

Go on.

What I told you before...

about how you should use me to catch the murderer...

Did you think about it?

That's too dangerous, Cho Rim.

Just yesterday Kwon Jae Hee broke into your house and took your picture.

That's a lot more serious than you think.

He might be able to find you with that picture!

But he has no idea that I'm the witness. So I'll try it.

I'll bring back my picture.

What are you talking about?

You went through everything in the house and didn't find a single piece of evidence?

No fingerprints, no footprints...

No trace at all.

So for now, it's impossible to get an arrest warrant for Kwon Jae Hee.

That's because we got rejected once for that time when we used a fake witness.

So far, we don't have any evidence or the witness' memory.

Therefore, we can't even request for her to be our witness.

Kwon Jae Hee is certainly the murderer.

I agree. But we don't have any hard evidence...

Kwon Jae Hee's alibis on the days of the murders are pretty strong.

How frustrating!

Shouldn't we move Cho Rim to a safety house or something?

We should.

It'd be dangerous if the murderer tracks her down with the stolen photo.

Oh Cho Rim decided to take the photo back herself from Kwon Jae Hee.

What are you talking about? Cho Rim will?

Hey, Oh Cho Rim... What are you thinking?

You know very well that Chef Kwon has no doubts about me.

So I'm actually the safest when I'm Oh Cho Rim.

But this can't be done. It's too dangerous!

I'm just trying to protect myself and not everyone else.

I'm just trying to bring back my own photo.

It is true that Cho Rim is the only one who can enter Kwon Jae Hee's house.

We must retrieve the photo before he shows it to someone else.

We're filming the show at his house today.

Today is the only chance.

There will be other staff members during the filming.

You have nothing to worry about.

Fine, but you must only do what I tell you to do.

Okay?

I'll let you go if you promise me that.

Okay.

I'll be nearby. And I'll also give you radio equipment.

Follow my instructions, okay?

If I think the situation gets dangerous, you must stop immediately, okay?

Okay.

This is a spy camera in the shape of a book.

You can see the lens here.

Here's the switch.

These are the earpieces for your radio.

Once you put them inside of your ears, you'll be able to communicate with us.

Here...

Press it.

This is for if you get caught by Kwon Jae Hee...

and can't speak...

just press it like this.

They are all easy to use.

Can you do this, Cho Rim?

- It's not too late to back out... - I can do it!

You said Chef Kwon spends a lot of time in his library.

That's why we picked a book-shaped spy-cam.

I see.

You should get going.

Okay. I can do this.

Don't worry!

Hello!

Mr. Chef!

Hello.

Hi, Cho Rim.

I like your dress.

Thank you.

Cho Rim, the producer told me that he wants to start a new segment next week...

with both of us in it!

With you? It's my honor.

Let's try our best.

Thank you.

- Chef Kwon! - Yes?

Please check the ingredients and tools.

Sure.

Today's theme will be "Five-minute Cooking."

The audience these days want to see the whole process.

A timer will go on as you cook.

What if I can't finish it in five minutes? synced by riri13

I'm getting nervous.

Then we'll have to shoot again!

Okay.

I really don't want to do re-shoots.

Cho Rim!

Yes?

Would you please cheer for me so I won't make a mistake?

Fighting, Mr. Chef!

Okay...

Then let's rehearse.

First, the real time check. You have five minutes.

Okay.

- I'll start. [Software updated]

We'll make dumpling dough pizza and tofu salad in today's "Five-minute Cooking."

I'm sure many of you are wondering how you can cook two dishes in five minutes.

Let me show you, then.

Can you hear me?

Yes, I can.

I have five minutes starting right now.

Go down to the library. I'll watch the time.

Okay.

Use enough olive oil to cover a well-heated pan...

then put in the dumpling dough.

Then flip it occasionally until the dough gets fried.

I think the smell of fried food is the best among all foods!

And now, once you heat this in a microwave for a minute and 30 seconds

it'll be a delicious pizza!

How much time do we have left?

Two minutes.

In the meantime, we can make tofu salad.

So this really can be done in five minutes!

You can do the salad during the actual shoot.

Okay.

Let's shoot Oh Cho Rim's "Cook Bang Time" first.

Cho Rim?

Ms. Oh?

Cho Rim?

What happened?

Oh no... It's fine.

Stay calm.

You still have two minutes. So stay calm.

The camera is working.

Is the location okay?

Good. Get out of there.

Cho Rim!

- Have you seen Cho Rim? - No, I haven't.

Where did she go? Cho Rim!

I'm sorry...

I'm the one to apologize. My pantyhose...

There were a lot of male staff members in the bathroom...

They're starting the shoot.

Okay, I'll get ready right now!

Cho Rim.

Leave your wallet in the bathroom so you have an excuse to go back and get the camera.

Well done.

Did I do it right?

Do you have water?

Water... Here.

You don't like pork rind?

No, I love places like this.

That's good.

After my first field investigation as a newly-minted policeman...

My boss took me out to a pork rind restaurant like this.

So you're saying that I just completed my first field investigation?

Yes. But do you know why pork rind?

No.

Take a look.

I still don't get it.

Here. Can you see how it's shrinking?

Ah, so it means I shrank out of fear during my first field investigation?

Yes.

Once you eat this, you won't shrink the next time!

Then I must eat a lot of it! I was so scared before!

Wait.

This is well-done.

Here.

It's hot.

You became a detective because of your sister.

How is it?

Huh? What do you mean?

You're supposed to be hanging out with fish in an aquarium.

Do you like being a detective?

I'm not sure.

But I know I must do this.

You're supposed to be making everyone laugh from a stage.

But you're doing a dangerous investigation now.

Don't you want to return to the stage?

I'll be able to go back soon.

How about you?

Well... I don't know if I'll be able to go back.

Don't be ridiculous. Of course you can go back.

I'd like to go back once this case is over.

To the aquarium where I used to hang out with fish...

and to my seaside home in Jeju.

When I go back after everything is over...

would you come with me?

I'll keep asking you to come with me.

Get ready.

When you go see your sister...

please let me come with you.

I'd like to tell her that I'm sorry.

Okay. We'll go together.

Eun Seol will tell Eun Seol...

Seriously...

Is the screen frozen?

Oh, my God!

You're finally here, Kwon Jae Hee.

It's recording...

Hey, Kwon Jae Hee...

stop reading and do something else!

Is that...

Is that the picture he stole?

Hi.

I'd like to find a person.

Her name is Choi Eun Seol. She used to live in Jeju three years ago.

I think she's using a different name right now.

I can give you her picture in person tomorrow.

Yes. Tomorrow at 4 p.m. works for me.

Okay, great.

You must be tired.

Rest up. I'll get going.

Are you going to your colleague's place again?

Yes.

Then I guess you'll be back in the morning to wash up.

Yes.

Be careful out there.

It's right in front of here.

Make sure you lock the door.

Sleep in until I come tomorrow morning!

Okay.

I'm going.

Make yourself at home!

How did you know I was here?

This is your colleague's place?

Did you sleep like this last night too?

Going undercover like this is my job.

You should go in.

I can't. Then where will you go?

We can go in together.

Really?

Then I guess I'll have to buy an extra pair of slippers.

And we're out of bottled water. And toothpaste.

I guess we have to go grocery shopping, then.

I'll make a list of what we need to buy.

Are you sleepy?

Then you can sleep first.

I'm fine. You can sleep first.

No, I'll sleep once you sleep.

I'm not that sleepy...

Me neither...

This is the digital version of the picture Kwon Jae Hee took.

Shall we start?

Yes, sir.

Why are we going through all this trouble to retouch this picture?

Can't we just take back the picture he took and rip it apart?

Then he'll get his hands on other pictures of her...

or find other ways to find Cho Rim.

Because Kwon Jae Hee cannot recognize people's faces...

he can't recognize people in pictures either.

Kwon Jae Hee isn't trying to find the witness himself.

He's hiring someone else to do it.

So he'll never find Cho Rim if we change the picture to look like some other girl.

I guess that makes sense.

Why am I always the only one clueless?

You're just pretending to be clueless!

But that looks so different from Cho Rim!

So, is this good enough?

Yes, this is great.

I guess every man is good for something!

Inspector Kang.

I heard you still type with two fingers.

Like this.

So all we need to do is print this picture and switch it with the picture in his wallet.

Then I'll give this picture to Oh Cho Rim.

The picture came out.

It looks very different from me.

Who is it?

She's fake. She doesn't exist.

100% Photoshopped.

It's so good to hear that this face doesn't exist in reality.

Your real picture is inside of Kwon Jae Hee's wallet.

Do you think you can switch them?

I can do it.

Kwon Jae Hee is meeting with a private investigator at 4 p.m. today.

He'll leave the restaurant around 3 p.m.

You have to switch the pictures before then.

Okay. I'll get going.

You have the panic button, right?

Right here.

I'll leave soon too.

I'll always be near you. So don't be scared.

Excuse me! Where is my food?

- It's taking way too long! - We ordered ages ago!

Why are the dishes being delayed? The customers are waiting!

I'm sorry.

There was an missed order, which snarled up everything.

What's the menu?

Fried Crab with Curry Sauce.

I'll do it.

What are you doing? We're in a rush!

Go clean the tables!

Okay!

Mr. Chef!

May I talk to you?

What is it?

I think I left my wallet at your place during the shoot yesterday.

Is that so? I guess you need it right now.

It must be inconvenient without it.

Yes, a bit...

But I have to run to a meeting right now.

I'm afraid you'll have to go get it yourself.

You can give this back tomorrow. I can enter using my PIN.

I'm so sorry for causing you all this trouble.

It's fine. See you tomorrow.

Goodbye!

Bye!

It's me, Officer Choi.

How did it go? Is everything okay?

Yes, I switched the pictures.

Good. And Kwon Jae Hee?

He left for a meeting just now.

Then you must get the camera back right now.

Go to his house right now.

Move quickly. I'm near his house right now.

Okay.

Oh Cho Rim! Can you carry this to storage?

Okay.

Hello?

I'm the person you're meeting today.

I'm on my way.

Is the person you're looking for related to any crime case?

Why are you asking?

I came early to our meeting point.

But the area is full of cops.

It seems like you've been exposed, so be careful.

And don't hurt anyone else.

Why is he in here right now?

[Officer Choi]

Answer the phone...

Oh Cho Rim! Can you hear me?

Are you not wearing your earpieces? Oh Cho Rim!

Why...

are you so curious?

Cho Rim... get out of there right now!

Get out of there, Oh Cho Rim!
