Legend has it that long ago in another world,
Official YIFY movies site: YTS.MX
the four Elders of Landasari
harnessed a powerful magic
into the form of a Sovereign Wand.
Protecting it from evil,
they took it high up into Secret Henge,
locking it away with the following enchantments.
This henge can only be unlocked with four relic keys
during a rare moment in time
when the moon shines emerald
over four consecutive nights.
But finding these relics is of no easy task,
for they lay hidden inside four cursed caves,
visible only on one precious map.
And if this henge is not unlocked
by midday following the last Emerald Moon,
the wand shall remain trapped in the Outer Realm
for a thousand years.
However, it is prophesized that a young enchantress
shall seek to possess the Sovereign Wand
to bring about a Golden Age of magic.
She will come to be known as the Chalice Empress,
"The one who will light the way."
But her success is not foretold.
Forces of darkness align to stop her
in a deadly battle for supreme power.
For so it is written.
She of noble blood
who wields the Sovereign Wand
shall rule the empire.
Once upon a time,
our kingdom was in a lot of turmoil.
That's me. I'm Commander Jade Cross.
And that chap is Montgomery Sterling,
captain of the queen's fleet.
Together with the royal enforcer,
we risk our lives to quell rogue magic
and rebel uprisings
all in the name of our kingdom, Alerion.
Our story begins not long ago.
While patrolling the Highlands for the queen,
I suddenly decided to venture off the Crimson Trail
to investigate a remote part of the forest near Gevly.
As commander of the guard,
I've been trained to sense foul play where others cannot.
Whoa.
So, like a moth to a flame, I ventured onward.
It was the late King Darius that once said,
"Our destinies are forged by the decisions we make."
Looking back, I see the truth in his words.
Well, hello, Poppet.
Did you come to watch me practice?
Let's try that defensive charm, shall we?
Resistus.
Oh, dear.
Guess that's not going to protect anyone, is it?
Let's try it again.
Resistus!
Yes, I know it's getting worse.
Resistus!
Whoa!
Oh, dear. Oh, my. Oh!
Oh, my goodness. Are we all right?
I suppose that depends.
Are we a beautiful maiden in the middle
of an otherwise uninhabited forest?
Well, yes.
Then we are all right.
Oh, thank heavens.
But I must ask, what in the world was that fiery thing
that flew in front of me and nearly killed me?
Well, I have no idea what you mean, my lord.
The forest is full of flying creatures and such.
Unless my senses deceive me,
it had all the markings of a magic charm,
a charm that nearly separated my nose from my face and spooked my horse.
Where is my horse? Brown Horse, come here.
Why do you call him Brown Horse?
Because that is his name.
You named your brown horse Brown Horse?
He's such a noble creature,
and he deserves a befitting name.
Like Quinley.
And that's probably why he ignores you.
He doesn't ignore me.
Brown Horse, get over here.
Look, that strange ball of light that nearly killed me,
that came from you, didn't it?
- Why do you ask this? - I don't know.
Call it a feeling or a hunch.
Or the fact that you have this magic wand
- sticking out of your dress! - Give it back!
- You have no right! - I have every right.
The practice of magic has been banned
throughout the realm for commoners.
Any unauthorized use is punishable by prison or death.
- Surely, you know this. - Well, yes.
I have discretion, and I shall allow you to be free.
- Thank you, kind sir. - But I must confiscate this.
That wand is the only thing I have to remember my mother by.
But if you must take it, I understand.
I'm afraid I must.
Elsewhere!
Impossible!
Oh, come on, Brown Horse.
Quinley?
You can't be serious.
Ha! As Quinley and I rode back,
the gravity of my encounter with the maiden sunk in.
I wanted to share this information with my best mate,
Captain Montgomery Sterling.
But the queen has ordered him to the Devil's Islands
to try to find the lost Elder Map before her sisters.
But knowing Sterling, he's probably lounging
on a tropical beach right now,
drinking spiced rum from a coconut,
surrounded by a bevy of beautiful island girls.
Ah!
All Sterling had to do now
was cross the Dark Sea
and present this coveted map to the queen.
But as he laid eyes upon it,
he saw there were no markers
identifying the cursed caves.
If he returned to Alerion with the wrong map,
there would be serious consequences.
After all, compassion
was not Queen Wendolyn's strong suit.
Guilty. Stealing bread will get you ten nights in the stocks.
Have we nothing more interesting today?
Next, we have Priscilla Prescott,
a tavern wench found practicing magic in her village.
Hmm. What do you have to say for yourself, wench?
Your Highness, I was only using the wand
to harvest faerie fruit from the very top boughs of the tree.
My wand!
I think a year in the dungeon will cure your insurrection.
Your Grace, have mercy. I have children to feed.
Hmm, mercy.
Oh, please.
I think not. Take her away.
No! Oh, no!
Oh, no! No!
Captain, the storm is nearly upon us
and we're approaching the rocky straits.
- Captain! - Clemens, I've got it!
Sir?
No wonder the rebels
could never find the cursed caves.
Come, I'll show you.
You see this symbol here in the corner?
Aye. - Well, I didn't recognize it at first,
but I've determined it to be the mark of Veralius,
an obscure alchemist during the time of the Elders,
whose work largely centered around the element of cobalt.
Cobalt?
You have to ask yourself, why would an alchemist
be commissioned to create a map?
Unless the Elders used his wizardry
to encrypt the map and misdirect unwanted eyes.
- A magic map. - Well, in a way, yes.
It's ingenious.
Veralius emblazoned a hidden key
in the very fibers of the map,
visible only in the presence of a cobalt magnet.
Captain, we have those in the galley.
Indeed, we do.
And so they appear.
Renderings of the prophesied keys,
marking the location of each cave.
This discovery will cripple the rebellion
and make our queen the most powerful of all three sisters.
Her Highness will be most pleased.
I'm sure she will be.
This stays with me.
Now, let's make our way through those straights, shall we?
Aye, captain.
Since my best mate is out of reach,
I decided to visit the home of my trusted mentor,
Professor Reinhold Rumpleton,
former Chancellor of Magic to the late King Darius.
Uncle, where have you hidden yourself?
This is a familiar voice I haven't heard in a while.
To what do I owe this visit from my worst student,
but my finest nephew?
I passed every one of your dreadful exams.
Barely.
Come in, come in.
As I was saying, yes.
Oh, my apprentice.
- Stickley Grangle, Commander Cross. - Pleasure.
Grangle, any relation to the renowned explorer Thorndike Grangle?
Yes, commander. He was my father.
A very brave man, indeed, and missed by all.
Your words are too kind.
Stickley, will you fetch us a bottle, please?
The silver goblets, I presume?
Nothing but the finest for my nephew.
Oh, let's have a seat.
Your Highness, a falcon just delivered word.
Captain Sterling has recovered the Elder Map and set sail for Alerion.
Finally the map will soon be in my possession.
Word of this must never reach my sisters.
We will beat them to your precious wand.
You're looking well, Uncle.
Well, thank you. But the older I get,
the better I once was.
Your grummel, gentlemen. Allow me to pour.
Ah, nothing like aged grummel.
A toast to your long life and even longer beard.
Oh, to your health.
So, what gossip have you for me this time?
I seek your counsel on a recent event.
A rogue display of sorcery by a peasant girl.
A peasant girl? Hmm.
In the forest near Gevly today,
I was thrown by my horse by a giant ball of light.
When I came to my senses, I was stunned
to see a beautiful, young maiden.
Oh! I like this story already.
Per protocol, I attempted to confiscate her wand,
which she said was once her mother's.
Suddenly, she spoke the word "elsewhere" and...
- ...vanished before my eyes. - Impossible!
Well, that's what I said.
Not even the royals can accomplish that.
Hmm.
I'm a little suspicious.
You know, a nasty bump on the head
can make anyone a little loopy.
Well, I-- I suppose you're right.
I was probably just taken by her fiery red hair.
Red hair? Are you sure it's red?
- In Gevly, you say? - That's where it was.
With her mother's wand.
This all sounds familiar to me.
But what is it?
I've got it! It's the Legend of Landasari.
You remember the Elder Prophecy.
Yes, of course.
But many maidens dabble at rogue magic.
But here's the twist.
My grandfather Credasio revealed something extraordinary
about this prophecy in his private journal, which I possess.
Go on.
Credasio wrote in his journal the following...
"One night, whilst I was painting a portrait,
I had a vision of angels.
They revealed to me
the following details of the Elder Prophecy...
The Chalice Empress shall appear
in the time of the son of my son.
She will be an orphan from Gevly
descended from a bloodline of magic
graced with flowing red hair.
Furthermore, they showed me the exact descriptions
of the four hidden relics,
and before vanishing,
the precise location of the Elder Henge
where the Sovereign Wand awaits.
An instrument so powerful, I must protect it
at all costs.
Therefore, I've included the location
of the Secret Henge in riddle.
I never did solve that blasted riddle.
I can't believe it.
It's been in our family all these years
- hidden in plain sight. - I've always believed
that there was a stranger truth at the heart of the text.
If the prophecy is true,
you must find this girl again
and protect her with your very life.
Oh, I'll find her all right. I swear it.
Be careful.
There was no day Queen Wendolyn loathed more
than that of the family gathering.
Or, as her younger sister Javelyn had so dubbed it--
weekly reflections.
Vanquish.
Javelyn.
Hello, sisters.
So lovely to see the both of you.
Greetings, Ladies.
I so look forward to our reflections.
Anyone have any news to share?
No. There's no news, Javelyn.
- There never is. - But it could be real.
Don't be so naive.
The Prophecy of the Wand is a ridiculous myth.
Oh leave her be, Wendolyn.
And, incidentally, I have some news.
My troops just captured a band of Balkar Rebels
and ever so gently persuaded them for information.
One of the weaker ones confessed that he indeed
had knowledge of an Elder Map.
Oh, how exciting. Go on!
And I'd have it for us now had it not been stolen from them
by a seafaring gentleman in a captain's uniform.
Wendolyn?
Nonsense. That could be any map.
Captain, rocks, starboard.
Clemens! Clemens!
- Captain! - Damage report?
Aye, aye, captain.
Captain, we're taking on way too much water.
All right, everyone to the lifeboats. Hurry!
Aye, aye, captain.
All men to the rowboats!
Enlightened by Rumpleton's words,
I became consumed with finding the red-haired maiden.
If she is the Chalice Empress,
what would that mean for Alerion?
I scoured the land near Gevly
until finally I crossed the path of good fortune.
I watched her in silence for a moment, wondering,
"Could a creature so delicate
really possess the power needed to wield the Sovereign Wand?"
But that silence was about to be shattered
by a mysterious foe
that had only recently appeared out of nowhere.
What just happened? You?
You're in grave danger. Come with me.
Because this beast has a keen sense of smell,
I led her upwind
until we reached the cover of ancient trees
in a region known as the Moss Lands.
We should be all right. The beast is heading south now.
- Are you all right? - Yes, I think so.
Thank goodness you came in time. I'm truly grateful.
Will you allow me to escort you back to the village?
Very well. But I have one condition.
I shall not go another step forward with you
until you tell me your name.
I am so sorry. I am Commander Jade Cross.
And I am Arra Winter.
- Hello, Arra Winter. - Hello, Jade Cross.
Before heading back,
we took a detour outside of Gevly,
so Arra could show me
some of her favorite childhood places.
It was as though her very presence
seemed to lift the darkness from my world.
The colors surrounding us seemed more vibrant,
and the sounds in the forest more alive.
She shared glimpses of her life with me,
and surprisingly, took an interest in mine.
Commander, won't you tell me of your work,
and how you've come to know so much
about the dragon that plagues our world?
Of course.
You see, I spent many years of my life
in service to the empire.
My men and I ensure that the will of the Crown is carried out.
There's been many times where we were facing great peril...
The queen's division I command combs the land of Alerion,
guarding against rogue magic and rebel uprisings.
My men and I have also been given
the nearly impossible task of protecting our citizens
from the relentless evil we just encountered.
Dragmauroth, from the deadly species Reptilious Incendiary.
This unstoppable dragon,
who recently appeared in our kingdom,
laying to waste villages...
...and brave soldiers.
We mourn their loss
and fight in their honor.
I've had countless deadly dealings with the beast,
narrowly escaping.
So terrifying.
My mother always believed that dragons would one day return.
May I ask, how did she die?
Ironically, defending her wand.
Magic was her life.
Eden Winter, you have defied the Crown
for the last time.
You will surrender your wand and stand in judgment
before your queen.
Do not be a fool.
I warned you! Ha!
Elsewhere!
Mommy!
Mommy!
Darling, with this wand,
I'll always be with you.
No!
No! No!
- Eden! - Oh, goodness.
My dear, Arra.
There, there.
I have you, my dear. I have you.
Luckily, I was raised by my godmother, Akailya,
who taught me the mystical use of roots,
wild herbs, and flowers.
She, too, has a deep understanding of magic.
I'll never forget my sixteenth birthday.
She gave me the most precious gift.
My dear, time for you to learn
your mother's book of spells.
I'm so glad Akailya was there for you.
So tell me, what of your father?
I was quite young when he disappeared.
I do remember pulling on his red beard
and playing with his sparkly ring.
Thanks for listening, Jade Cross.
But of course.
Well, this is my village.
Thank you for allowing me to escort you back.
Thank you for saving me from Dragmauroth.
The pleasure is all mine, Arra Winter.
So, uh...
...is there any way I could come visit you again tomorrow?
Yes, I would like that.
Splendid. Midday then?
- Yes. - Till tomorrow then.
Aah!
Ah, much better.
- Aah! - Ha!
Thank you.
Oh. Did you do this?
- You? This? - Eu?
You heal me? Eel.
Wahkoo. Woonga.
Thank you.
I am Captain Montgomery Sterling.
Mon-grum-re?
Close enough.
And you are?
Un-gwah, Leilani.
Leilani. That's very beautiful.
Mon-grum-re. Leilani.
Ha!
Mon-grum-re Ster-ring.
A remarkable likeness!
I have something for you. A flower for a flower.
No, no, no.
This would look much better on you.
Ah! Neen wa soo.
- Neen wa, neen wa! - Neen wa?
Leilani!
- Neen wa! Neen wa! - Your father?
- Ya! - I should go!
Um ba, un du.
I won't forget you.
Island Chief: Leilani!
A day had come and passed
since the captain's ship was expected to arrive
and the queen was to have her precious map.
With every passing hour,
she grew more and more suspicious.
Your Grace.
Hmm.
My queen, I bring most unfortunate news.
What?
The captain's ship has been lost at sea
- and he presumed dead. - And what of the map?
On the sea floor, along with your captain.
What! I don't believe it.
This is a lie.
Set a bounty for his return.
I smell the vile stench of treason!
Although I had heard the news of the deadly storm,
I knew Sterling was a survivor.
And so I prayed for my friend's safe return.
As for today, I had other pressing matters.
I was on my way to see Arra again.
If Rumpleton was correct about the prophecy
I would need to warn her,
which meant turning against the Crown.
It all seemed so preposterous.
Perhaps my uncle, with all his wisdom, was wrong about Arra.
I felt I needed time to confirm Rumpleton's suspicions.
So I spent the next few days, simply getting to know her,
realizing what an extraordinary woman she is.
I spent my evenings with my uncle,
trying to unravel the location of the Henge,
which Credasio had encrypted in riddle.
"The seal of the prophecy is all you need
to bind the symbols and further proceed."
The seal of the prophecy. Huh.
Is there a cypher, a thread,
that somehow connects this riddle?
But then Rumpleton had an idea.
Within the prophecy there are four Elders,
four relics,
four caves,
and four nights of an Emerald Moon.
Could the seal simply be the Landasarian number four,
perfect in its ancient symmetry?
I turned to his fourth entry
and decided to scroll down to his fourth stanza.
Then I noted the fourth word--
Arclam.
Could it be foreign? Or is it an anagram?
Invigorated, we rearranged the letters over and over,
and in no time at all, there it was--
the location of the Sovereign Wand, Calmar!
Why that's the Fourth Temple of Alerion!
I explored its ruins as a child.
Everything was coming together so quickly,
and all pointing in the same direction.
Arra must be the girl of the prophecy,
and I have no idea how to tell her.
I have something important to share with you.
Are you familiar with the Legend of Landasari?
Yes, it's a wonderful fairytale.
What if I told you, it's more than a fairy tale?
It's a prophecy, a literal foretelling of days to come.
I do seem to recall my mother reading that to me
from the ancient psalms.
Then you know of the Golden Age of magic.
Yes, and the wonderful, young enchantress.
Arra, I know this will sound absurd.
I believe you may be her, the Chalice Empress.
Well, it became clear I would never do magic again,
but now this girl from Gevly could change everything.
Professor, what do you mean by that?
Well, if I show you something, you promise to keep it secret?
- But of course. - If my theory is correct
soon, magic like this...
Carillion cortillious.
...will be free to all!
That's enough Jade!
What you're claiming is preposterous.
- I'm a simple girl from Gevly. - That's just it.
Credasio states that the enchantress
will be an orphan from Gevly
come from a bloodline of magic
and have fiery red hair!
The Chalice Empress, the one who will light the way.
I'll have nothing to do with any of this.
- The royals will have my head. - You won't be alone.
I'll be with you every step of the way, I swear it!
They'll kill you, as well.
My mother was murdered at the hands of the royals.
If you care for me, you will never speak of this again.
Cross. My Commander Cross?
- You sure? - And his uncle.
The professor has Credasio's journal.
I overheard it contains the secrets of the Sovereign Wand.
Hmm. It's all coming together now.
There is one more thing, my queen.
The journal speaks of a Golden Age,
ushered in by a girl with red hair.
Who is this girl with red hair?
That I do not know.
You've done well, apprentice. Speak of this to no one.
Yes, my queen.
At this point, I had no idea of the looming danger.
My focus was on Arra and how she'd completely rejected
her role in the prophecy.
Perhaps she needed to read the journal herself.
But upon arriving at my uncle's villa to fetch it
I realized something was amiss.
Men, look for Commander Cross.
Yes, sir. Check the stables.
The journal is ours.
Stay on Cross.
Yes, my lord.
Hyah! Hyah!
Sir, I found his horse!
Uncle!
Uncle.
I was betrayed. They know where she lives.
And they'll show her no mercy.
You must go.
But you need help.
It is imperative that Arra
become queen of the empire.
Now go!
Shh. It's me.
You're not safe. We must leave at once.
Trust me.
I do trust you.
They're coming.
Argh! Find her!
Yes, my lord.
Burn it to the ground.
Make them all pay.
Burn them.
Time for my pet to finish them off.
But, Your Grace, it's only Cross and the girl that matter.
Dragmauroth, incinerate!
Oh, my village. We must do something!
Arra, it's Dragmauroth. There's nothing we can do.
It's destroying everything!
This is the work of the queen.
You mean she controls this beast?
I've been such a fool.
She's taken everything from me.
I will do whatever it takes
to see this queen ripped from her throne!
And we will strike back! We must go.
And so it had begun.
On the same night that the Emerald Moon appeared,
all traces of Gevly had been decimated by dragon fire.
According to the prophecy, this sacred moon
would remain full for three more nights
signaling that the fleeting opportunity
to retrieve the Sovereign Wand had begun.
Pull.
Pull!
Credasio's journal.
The location of the Henge is in riddle.
However the keys are clearly identified.
Excellent. What of Cross and the girl?
As your beast destroyed Gevly,
the commander and the prophesied enchantress
fled into the woods.
What did you call her?
Would not think that the pathetic peasant girl
would be very difficult to apprehend
and yet she still runs free!
With the assistance of one of our own no less.
You've seen the moon.
Are you aware of how little time we have?
Enough to succeed.
Perhaps it doesn't matter.
Without the Elder Map this journal is worthless!
Pull!
With heavy hearts, we'd walked all night,
but there was no longer any doubt,
in order to bring down the wicked queen,
we must find the Sovereign Wand at all costs.
Careful, don't spill any.
Ah, Farrington, Bobek, thank goodness.
Couldn't be happier to see you two chaps.
Well, well. Montgomery Sterling.
We've heard you've drowned.
Well, I'm alive, thank goodness, by the luck of the sea.
I'll be needing a new uniform, a warm meal,
and send word to the Palace that I've returned.
Oh, we'll be sending word all right,
but your new uniform will be a prison smock.
Ha, ha! Well said.
Prison smock? I don't understand.
Oh!
What is the meaning of this?
The queen's issued strict orders
for you and the map to be seized
and brought straight to the palace
should you turn up.
- Seized? For what? - Treason.
High treason!
Highest treasonries.
Treason? Don't be absurd.
I'm sure Her Highness will richly reward me for capturing you.
I'll wager she'll even give me my own ship to command.
I could buy me a fat wife and a few chickens.
All right then, I'll be taking that map.
Well, I hope you can hold your breath
because you'll be fetching it from the bottom of the abyss.
Rubbish!
You stay there.
You broke my nose!
You're lucky that's all I broke.
Now I'll be taking those clothes.
- Faster! - Yes, captain.
- Faster! - I can't go fast enough.
Now I'll never get my ship, you fool.
Yeah, but who's the fool sitting here in his lady bloomers?
Jade, how are we to find these cursed caves without the Elder Map?
Well, I'm not sure yet.
Has anyone ever seen this map?
Oh yes, in fact, the captain nearly had it.
You see, the queen had sent Lord Voss, myself,
and the captain on an expedition
to the Cape of Chevalier.
Our mission was to seek out the elusive Elder Map
stolen by a rebel leader called the Red Knight,
who believed his sister Neela was the Chalice Empress.
And they were ready to fight.
With The Red Knight dead,
we stormed his compound in search of the map.
Voss captured Neela to be questioned.
The queen had ordered us to use any means necessary.
Aah!
The captain followed his heart.
Grateful for her life, she agreed to lead him
through the dangerous Dragon Dunes
to where the map was buried.
The bond between them was undeniable.
Just then, the harsh desert winds kicked up
and a blinding sandstorm suddenly descended upon them.
They were trapped,
instantly separated, and in blindness.
Tragedy struck.
Brave Neela had fallen to her death.
It seems that map is surrounded by tragedy.
- I do hope your friend is safe. - As do I.
Your intuition about the captain was correct.
Two of our men confronted him along the coast.
Tell me you have the map.
Unfortunately, he overpowered them and fled on foot.
I knew it!
Cross and Sterling have turned against me.
There can be no doubt, Your Highness.
You! Find those traitors!
It will be done, Your Majesty.
Oof!
Ow! Oh, mm!
Oh!
- Good day, Constable. - Hello, my Lady.
And what mayhem has this noble-looking young ruffian been up to?
The worst, I'm afraid.
Treachery and downright treason.
Fear not. If he sets foot in my forest,
I'll have him in shackles before nightfall, Miss, um...
- Cordelia. - Lady Cordelia,
no harm shall befall thee,
not while Philologus Crumbworthy is on duty.
I have had a lot of practice,
and I visit my mother every day.
Every day?
- I live with her. - Of course you do.
All right. There you go.
- Come on now. - One must always be careful.
Mommy says I have the eyes of a hawk
and the smell of a bloodhound.
I mean I smell like a bloodhound.
I mean nothing escapes my notice.
Obviously.
Any scoundrel would be daft to set foot in my county...
Shh, shh, shh.
...less they face the blade of my sword.
Oh, my sword!
Bloody horse.
Oh, uh, that villain wouldn't dare tempt his fate
with such a capable constable such as yourself
watching over us.
So strong, so brave, so devilishly handsome.
Mommy says I'm quite the lady's man.
I imagine you're very popular with all the young maidens.
I fear you wouldn't notice a lonely, vulnerable farm girl like me.
Oh, no, no, no. You're wonderful.
And I must say, you have such magnificent loaves.
Constable!
May I smell them?
Hmm, cracked barley with a hint of whiffle root.
- Whiffle root. - My favorite!
My horse!
And your sword. Thank you, Constable.
- Oh! - My Lady.
Ha!
Well played, Delia.
Ha!
I have news of the captain. Where is he?
He stole a Constable's horse and rides toward Dagger-Claw.
We must find him. Summon your men.
I will release the animal spies to reveal his intentions.
And I will send the Gray Guard, my queen.
To Dagger-Claw!
Confident that the queen's horses
could not make the steep climb to the top of Dagger-Claw,
Arra and I finally rested at a secret camp
that Sterling kept stocked with supplies.
Warming ourselves with his barreled grummel,
we felt safe for the moment.
Until suddenly...
Who goes there? Show yourself!
Lower your sword. 'Tis but I.
Ho, ho! Sterling!
I can't believe it. Good to see you, old friend.
And you, commander.
Just warm myself here by your fire for a moment.
Have some grummel. Warm your bones.
It has been an absolutely dreadful week.
- Thank you. - I heard your ship was lost.
I feared the worst.
Yes, it's true. But it will take more
than a sunken boat to snuff my candle.
Ha! Good to see you. I'm glad you're alive.
As am I. I figured I might find you here.
If anyone would know, it would be you.
Forgive me.
Arra Winter, Captain Montgomery Sterling.
- My Lady. - Good evening, captain.
I recognize you from your wanted poster.
I am so sorry, captain.
It seems as though you've been caught up in this as well.
And what is this, exactly?
Already more than I care for.
Prepare yourselves.
I have an incredible tale, and it involves both of you.
There before the fire, I told them how the queen
had savagely stolen Credasio's journal,
about Arra's role in the prophecy,
how we had solved the riddle of the Henge,
and that the hidden keys needed to unlock it
are all ancient relics.
An Amethyst Charm to tame the horse,
a Crystal Compass to set the course,
the Dust of Stars to reveal the chest,
and a Golden Key completes the quest.
Furthermore, I shared the bleak warning
of Credasio's premonition should we fail in our quest.
Without the Golden Age,
dark magic shall thrive and grow
causing a chain reaction of destruction.
Oceans will rise, lakes will boil,
famine will rage,
and it all begins when a vengeful monarch
turns a dragon against the people.
All that we love shall be no longer.
Don't you see?
The dragon he foretold must be Dragmauroth!
We've been on the wrong side the whole time!
I can't believe it.
And that is why we must see this through.
The very fate of the kingdom may depend on it.
Are you with us?
My greatest allegiance is to what is right.
You will always have my sword.
Excellent.
But there is one more thing.
Please tell me you have the map to the cursed caves.
Unfortunately, it's at the bottom of the sea.
Ah, but never fear.
It's all right up here.
Ha! A genius for detail.
That's the Sterling I know!
Well then, it seems we have everything we need.
Traitors!
They're going after the relics for her!
My queen, I shall hunt them down.
Follow me.
We awakened to a new obstacle.
The ground was covered in a blanket of snow,
slowing our pace.
However, our spirits were lifted
when the captain shared
how close the four caves were in proximity.
Sterling, are we still on track?
Yes, we are, but we must go around that range.
Oh, my goodness!
Right. Shall we?
We journeyed on for several hours in peace,
taking in the quiet beauty all around.
Then suddenly, Sterling detected movement in the distant shadows.
Commander, we're being followed.
Where? - On the ridge.
Ah, it's Voss.
- Voss? - Our Imperial Enforcer.
And his men will be close behind.
Then we haven't much time. We should split up.
You go east. We'll head north.
- Right. - Captain, before you go,
I have three enchantments that could save your life.
Indestructible Thread, strong enough to suspend a giant forest trollic.
A trollic? Imagine that.
If you encounter evil spirits,
Emerald Sea Crystals that detonate upon contact.
But never use more than one.
Hmm.
A Light Stone, to illuminate your path
when you speak the word, "Reveal."
Reveal it is.
- Don't hurt yourself. - I won't.
See you at the Cape, relics in hand.
- Good luck. - Godspeed.
My queen, I've located their tracks.
The captain is headed for the Withered Forest.
Cross and the peasant girl are traveling toward Devil's Drop.
Return to the castle at once.
It's time to bring in your mercenaries.
Brilliant.
Our strategy worked.
Voss and his scouts rode back to the castle for reinforcements,
buying us precious time.
With a new sense of urgency and steadfast hearts,
we set off in search of the four cursed caves.
Lord Voss immediately sent falcons
to his underground web of mercenaries
located near Withered Forest and outside of Devil's Drop.
The queen's order was to covertly hunt us down
to avoid alerting her sisters.
Since she desperately needed Sterling's memory of the map,
he was to be captured alive,
but Arra and I were to be executed on sight.
With pleasure.
Each of the mercenaries
has their own unique talent
at inflicting harm on others.
There is Phineas Hornshank,
also known as the Treacherous Trapper.
Notorious for his abilities to ensnare almost anyone,
Hornshank sets hidden traps
all throughout the wooded regions.
Skillfully, he remembers the location for each trap
by a unique bell that he hangs out of sight.
Once a victim is snared
and writhing at the end of a noose,
he comes charging, crossbow in hand,
ready to finish off the helpless and dangling prey.
- Wifey ran away with another bloke, did she? - Aye.
Tough life, my friend. I'll trap her for you.
And you could put her up on your mantel,
but it's gonna cost ya 30 silvers.
Ah, that's my favorite sound.
Let's get trapping.
Then there's the dandy aristocrat Lorenzo Caruso,
also known as the Pied Piper Assassin.
Concealed in his wooden flute is a poison dart.
This one plays a deadly tune.
So, you and your cousin are in love with the same woman?
Yes, our other cousin, Matilda.
My heart bleeds for her.
She must be mine!
I have a multitude of potions and poisons.
Which is the best for your situation?
This is my most popular poison.
It kills almost instantly with just one drop in his drink.
Oh, no, no, no, no, no. He's my cousin.
I do not wish him to die.
It's not a problem. A dart dipped in this
and his legs will become utterly useless.
It's so delightful.
Perhaps no.
But what does the green one do?
Ah, this potion produces uncontrollable flatulence.
For seven years, no woman will go near him.
Ah!
Ow!
Lastly, there's the deadly blade master Hadley Hagar,
an expert in swords,
crossbows, and daggers.
Completely insane, his eccentric methods
have earned him the name The Hyena.
Lord Voss often called upon him
when a mission was unusually brutal.
Bleed them all dry.
Gladly, my lord.
If this mercenary is on your tail, best beware.
His greatest pleasure is murder.
With the snow behind us, we climbed towards
the magnificent falls of Devil's Drop,
right on track to the first of the cursed caves.
Miles away, Sterling used the sun
to guide his path down to the Withered Forest.
Upon reaching the falls, we paused for a moment,
taking in the spectacular view.
Traveling with a woman tends to leave me a bit befuddled,
but traveling with a magical woman left me flabbergasted.
Hold up. Where is your cloak?
It's right here. I cast a shrinking spell upon it.
Astounding. You can resize things at will.
And I've brought a few things with me.
A lady must always be prepared.
You seem to have a spell for nearly everything.
I once made a gooseberry pie the size of a carriage.
I was the most popular girl in the village that day.
You must show me how you do this.
Very well. Throw it in the air.
- All right. - Grandiosis!
Most impressive.
It took me quite a while to master that spell.
I could even shrink your sword.
Arra, this is the Sword of Alerion,
indestructible and certainly unshrinkable.
Minisculus!
Arra, that's not funny.
Yes, it is.
Well, I suppose it is a little funny.
I could barely butter a biscuit with this.
All right, you've had your fun. Put it back.
Perhaps it's a bit too tiny.
- Arra, my sword! - Oh!
My wand! Where is it?
Hurry!
Arra!
I know. I'm trying.
Now would be a good time.
I can't find it!
- You must never do that again. - You had perfect aim.
But I could have missed.
- But you didn't. - That's not the point.
You must promise me you will never shrink my sword again.
I promise, darling,
I will never shrink your sword again.
Thank you.
You must be joking.
Wha--
Got ya.
- Huh. - Looking for this?
Huh? Oh!
Jade, won't you tell me more
about that indestructible sword of yours?
It's called the Sword of Alerion.
- It's very powerful. - Really?
- Why, yes. - Oh.
- Let me tell you the story behind it... - Please.
...and take you back to where it all began.
You see, after the mysterious disappearance
of our beloved King Darius,
his wife, the notorious Queen Regalia,
immediately decreed magic illegal for all but the royals.
Years later, the queen grew ill,
and so divided the empire between her three beloved daughters.
The majestic Kingdom of Traconia
would be ruled by the shrewd Princess Vanquish.
The whimsical Princess Javelyn
would receive the fruitful Kingdom of Brigatha.
And the willful Princess Wendolyn
would inherit the throne of Alerion.
Before Queen Regalia's untimely death, in a final act of sorcery,
she bewitched the iron masks of her three royal enforcers.
I summon Daemontes from the Netherworld.
And each of you shall serve
as the guardians of my daughters.
Let my lineage reign forevermore.
That is how Lord Thraxis, Lord Kassan,
and Lord Voss became immortal
and known thereafter as the Legion of Daemontes.
However, due to the Legion's ominous power,
Queen Regalia needed to insure the royal hierarchy.
Therefore she bequeathed to her eldest daughter Wendolyn
two instruments of control--
the Vision Spherule for mystical oversight
and an enchanted battle instrument capable of destroying demons.
The Sword of Alerion was commissioned
by the Elders of Landasari over a thousand years ago.
The weapon is presented every generation
to a warrior who has proven worthy to the Crown.
And so I was truly honored when it was presented to me.
I pledged to respect its history
and the memory of those who had carried it before I.
And just as they did, I carried it to the top of Mount Gladitor
and waited for the black lightning to strike.
This ritual seals the sword's power
and is the only weapon known to destroy a Daemonte.
I hope that's true.
Lord Voss haunts me, and I have no idea why.
Meanwhile, the captain's dangerous quest
to retrieve the Satchel of Stardust
had lured him to the first of the cursed caves.
Hmm.
Jade, can we rest for a moment?
- I'm quite winded. - Good idea.
I think every rock in the kingdom
has found its way into my boot.
Oh, what I wouldn't give for a proper bath.
It would be heaven, but it will have to wait.
Oh, but, Jade, the lake is right there. Let's go for a swim.
I know, and it looks so inviting,
but it's simply not safe.
I'm sorry, darling, but we must press on.
Well, be a log in a bog if you'd like,
but I'm going for a swim.
Arra, no. Wait.
Aah! Bloody boot.
Arra! Wait for me!
Ooh!
Ooh.
Oh.
Hurry along, slowpoke!
Arra.
Oh, dear.
Is it possible?
Hmm. Can't see a bloody thing.
Time for a torch.
Jade!
Jade, no.
Come back to me, please.
Please, I can't lose you. Come back to me.
Pages!
Remedium.
Remedium.
Remedium.
I can't do this.
Arra, believe.
My strength is your strength.
Always believe.
Remedium.
Are we amongst the living?
Yes, we are.
And what of the assailant?
He has played his last tune.
Deservedly so.
- Can you stand? - Let's hope so.
Otherwise, you may have to carry me on your back.
Oh.
There you are.
Where are you going?
Oh!
If you encounter evil spirits...
...Emerald Sea Crystals.
Better work.
Show yourself.
But never use more than one.
Die!
Whoa!
It bloody worked!
Thank you, Arra.
What?
Queen Wendolyn was beside herself.
All three mercenaries had been reported missing.
Frustrated, she was up all night
staring at sketches of the relics,
while making no sense whatsoever
of Credasio's cryptic ramblings,
and had yet to deal with her sisters.
Did you see it? Did you see the Emerald Moon?
So, it seems the prophecy isn't the myth
you claimed it to be, Wendolyn.
Yes. My queens, do forgive me.
I fear that I have been far too ambivalent about the prophecy.
If the Elder Map truly exists,
and I'm not entirely convinced that it does,
we will find it and secure the future of Alerion.
And Brigatha and Traconia?
Yes, yes, yes, of course.
Naturally, I meant Brigatha and Traconia as well.
Of course.
We are bound by blood
to share in the wand's power equally.
The sisters will rule together.
That sounds wonderful.
Ladies, wands up.
Oh, very well.
Let the full might of magic
be restored to the royals forevermore!
Forevermore.
Oh, I despise those two.
Why must I have sisters?
Having slept the night on a bed of moss under an Emerald Moon,
Arra and I set out at the crack of dawn
on a fast track to reach our first cave.
So how will we make it to both caves,
find the relics, and still make it to the captain in time?
I know. Why don't you snap us there with that magic charm of yours
that had you disappear before me?
Ah, yes, it is known as the Elsewhere Charm.
The problem is, I never know where I will end up.
It simply sends me elsewhere,
landing me in even more danger than the situation I'm fleeing.
So I must only use it in the most dire circumstances.
Like that one time when I was searching for wild berries...
Elsewhere!
Ooh!
For goodness sake, now where am I?
I see. You must be very careful with that one.
Yes, I must only use this charm in the worst of emergencies,
at least until I master it.
Very wise.
Sterling, after yesterday's violent encounter
with the cave phantom, was wracked with pain.
Luckily, his path had lead him
to one of the most sacred places of all the realm,
the Weeping Wall of Alerion.
Legend has it, the giant rock weeps for all the world.
Yet within those tears comes pure rejuvenation.
Over there. Look!
- We did it. - This must be it.
- Who goes there? - What? What?
Bromley. Broom maker.
Out collecting my twigs and scraggles.
- Tell us, sir-- - Is that the only cave in this region?
Yes, it is.
- Good day to you both. - Excellent.
With a bit of luck,
I shall return with Golden Key in hand.
Hey! You can't go in there!
There's a giant trollic in there!
He'll rip your arms off!
Don't say I didn't warn you when he beats you senseless
- with your severed limbs. - Oh, dear.
That tragic pile of bones there
are from the last fellow who went in.
What happened? - It's the biggest trollic I've ever seen.
- Simply enormous. - I told you so.
I don't want to harm the brute, just get past him.
- Oh, my. - No one knows how he got in there,
but fortunately he can't get out.
- Jade, what if I go in there? - Only on two conditions.
Be very careful and use the Elsewhere Charm if you must.
What? You're letting her go in there?
With just a stick! What kind of coward are you?
Oh, Mr. Bromley, have a little faith.
The Golden Key must be inside.
I can't believe what I'm seeing.
And you call yourself a knight?
I can't look.
But I can't look away.
Hello.
Ha! Behold.
She's alive!
Oh, dragonspit!
Got it. Brilliant.
But what of the giant trollic?
I made an arrangement with him.
You see, that cave has been his prison for many years.
So I cast a shrinking spell upon him
and agreed to set him free...
...as long as he helps us to our destination.
He's very cute. Would you like to see?
- Yes, please. - Yes, indeed.
A trollic in a bag.
- He's so tiny. - Remarkable.
Look at it.
Miraculindus.
You are the sorceress
that they whisper about in the village.
The girl from ancient prophecy.
I-- I am but a humble broom maker,
but henceforth, I pledge my heart
and my loyalty to your noble cause.
How may I assist in your quest?
Oh, thank you broom maker.
Bless you.
Hmm, let me see. I know.
I shall enchant your broom
and all others you make from this day on.
Let there be magic for everyone
and may their dreams take flight!
Dreams do fly!
And from that moment on,
Mr. Bromley would help our quest,
secretly making flying brooms
and spreading hope throughout the land.
Yes!
We said farewell to our new friend,
and with the Golden Key and a trollic in a bag,
we were off to a great start and on to our next cave.
Your Grace, I bring you good news.
Well, get on with it.
I took the liberty to review Credasio's journal.
And?
The riddle is the key to releasing the Sovereign Wand.
- Tell me you've solved it. - I believe I have.
The answer is Calmar.
Finally privy to the location of the Sovereign Wand,
the queen changed strategy.
Realizing our only path to the Cliffs of Calmar
would lead us directly through Bandamor,
she could ambush us there and simply steal the relics.
And while she waited for us to fetch them,
she delighted in nudging us along.
Bloody bones.
Sterling had managed to elude the beast by heading to safer grounds.
So the winged devil changed her course and headed north,
catching us by surprise when she swooped overhead.
See you soon.
Despite our close encounter with Dragmauroth,
Arra and I remained optimistic.
It was still early morning,
and if Sterling's coordinates proved correct,
we were fast approaching our next challenge.
Do you see what I see?
- The falls, the lake-- - And the cave right behind it.
It's exactly where Sterling told us it would be.
I have a plan. You stay here.
I'll go into the cave and try to retrieve the Crystal Compass.
If you see or hear anything at all,
scream at the top of your lungs, and I'll come running.
Or, if you'd like, I could do my birdcall.
Or you could just scream.
All right, darling, wish us luck.
Please be safe.
I will always come back for you.
Where are you?
Hmm. Healing fire petals.
How rare. Lovely.
Oh, well, aren't you just the cutest?
Lovely to meet you.
She's a fool.
Hmm?
Interesting.
We're on a secret mission.
It's very dangerous, but very exciting.
Commander Cross is retrieving the Crystal Compass,
and I'm the lookout.
Yes, my dear.
Continue on with your secret mission.
Just bring me those relics.
All right then. Goodbye!
Run!
Run, little ones.
Run!
Take my hand!
- Elsewhere! - What?
Whoa!
Fool or not,
she's more powerful than I thought.
- Dragonspit. - Oh, my.
Now that was terrifying.
I'm sorry. I panicked.
It was the only way out of there I could think of.
I can't believe that charm worked on both of us.
I suppose it could have gone terribly wrong.
Well, we did almost plunge to our deaths.
But we are both still alive, aren't we?
I'm sorry, darling. You're right. It was brilliant.
Oh, please tell me you have the Crystal Compass.
We simply cannot go back there.
We don't have to.
You have it.
- So where do you think we are? - I'm not sure, actually.
But I do know if we follow the river below,
- it will lead us to the sea. - Oh, wonderful.
They've retrieved three of the relics
and will soon make their way towards the Henge.
Assemble the troops at Bandamor,
and we'll cut off their only passage to Calmar.
How many legions shall I send?
- All of them, of course. - With pleasure.
Time was of the essence.
Sterling could tell by the roar of the ocean
that he was nearing the Cape of Dunes
where the Amethyst Charm lay hidden,
this being the last relic needed
to unlock the Sovereign Wand.
If luck prevailed, we'd all meet up soon
and begin our final journey to Calmar Henge
through the grassy plains of Bandamor.
What is it?
I see something.
What do you see?
Soldiers.
No, armies,
legions of them,
gathering in the green plains of Bandamor.
I see us and waves of them encircling us,
Sterling struck down by the sword.
And you captured,
dead at the hands of Voss!
I can see it clearly now.
It was Voss that killed my mother!
And he's coming for me.
He kills us all.
Oh, Jade, it's so terrifying!
Is this the vision of things that will be
or just shadows of things that may be?
I'm not sure,
but I know in Bandamor there is death,
and we are going to die.
Well, then I promise we will find another way.
- Do watch your step. - Mm.
Excellent.
So we've made it to the Cape in time.
And if luck is kind, the captain is near.
- Shall we? - Mm.
I could tell Arra was putting on a brave face,
but the burden of our quest was heavily weighing on both of us.
Although I had promised her I'd find a safer way to Calmar,
the truth is, I had no idea how to accomplish this.
I just had to believe that forces bigger than us were guiding our steps...
...and that in the end,
righteousness would prevail.
Bloody bats.
Reveal.
Hmm, that's curious.
What have we here?
Hmm.
I'll take that.
- Ha, ha, ha! - Ha!
- I'm glad you're alive. - As am I.
It warms my heart to see you, captain.
It warms my heart to see me as well.
- How did you find me? - We heard such a frightful blast.
- And we followed the column of smoke. - Ah.
Were you successful at getting both artifacts?
It nearly killed me doing so, but, yes.
- Well done, captain. - And what of your quest?
- We were able to recover both items. - Superb.
Now just across the Plains of Bandamor and onto the Calmar Cliffs.
No. We cannot go through the plains.
Sterling, Arra had a powerful vision whilst on our journey.
I saw the entire Bandamor region occupied by royal troops.
But it's the only way. We must be at the cliffs by the crest of midday tomorrow.
If we go through Bandamor, we will not survive.
I fear all hope for the Golden Age is lost.
Hmm. Perhaps not.
If we can make it over the mountains to the sea pavilion
and if I can commandeer a ship,
we just might see the Golden Age yet.
That's a lot of ifs, Sterling,
and you're taking us in the wrong direction.
Yes, but we'll sail clear of Bandamor
and make up the lost time by sea.
I can get us there.
Jade, I've grown stronger on this journey,
- you know I have. - It's true.
- I can do this. - Well, then let's make haste.
I'm sure the journey ahead is just as perilous as the one behind.
Exactly! There were these creatures
that bashed my head in the cave unsparingly.
Well, my very essence was repeatedly plundered by a soul-sucking she-devil.
Are you both going to be such trouble this entire journey?
Probably.
Clever. Voss, send word to the troops
at the sea pavilion to be on the ready
and advance the armies from Bandamor
to crush them from behind.
With pleasure.
As treacherous as the terrain had been thus far,
we were now approaching the Tombstone Mountains,
known for its steep ledges and deadly black scorpions.
Sterling, hold up.
Arra, it would be unwise
for you to go any further in that dress.
He's right. - Very well then.
Would you please hold this for me, Captain?
- Sure. No problem. - We'll be right here.
I'm so curious to see how this is going to work.
I have to tell you, I'm beginning to have my doubts
- of either you or I making it to the summit. - We won't have to.
I know of a hidden smugglers' passage
that will lead us right through the mountain.
Spiders.
I must say, commander, she's a very lovely woman.
- You're a lucky man. - Thank you, captain.
You know, she's the most extraordinary-- eyes forward, captain.
- Oh, just looking for spiders. - Mm-hmm.
What in The Three Kingdoms does she have in here?
I'm sorry, I should have explained.
In your hands is the biggest--
well, now the smallest trollic I've ever seen.
A trollic? How could it be?
Well, her spells work on more than just clothes.
Have a look.
Remarkable.
Hey! Ow!
That bloody bugger just bit me.
Well, he doesn't like everyone.
Gentlemen, I'm ready.
- Stunning. - Simply ravishing.
Do try and keep up.
With Arra's wand lighting the way,
it was apparent her power was growing,
along with our confidence.
And except for the swarm of black scorpions...
...we managed to stumble
through the smugglers' passage without incident.
Beams of shimmering daylight guided us out of the darkness.
Gentlemen, unless my eyes deceive me,
that looks like a sea pavilion.
Our ship awaits. Next stop, Calmar.
Tonight is the last Emerald Moon.
Our chances to locate the wand run out at midday tomorrow.
So, tell me, sisters, have your men found anything?
- We've not found a thing in Traconia. - Nor have we in Brigatha.
Sadly it seems the Sovereign Wand
will remain locked between the realms for another millennium.
Well, then we can take great comfort in knowing
the rebels have little chance of securing the wand.
And even if they did, we could just take it from them.
Without the wand, the Three Kingdoms will remain
under our control, as they are now.
We'll simply keep our heels on the necks of the peasantry
and retain the use of magic for ourselves.
And they say I'm the nasty one.
What say you, sisters? Now that we can rest our minds,
shall we meet up for a spot of tea?
I could bake some pickle cookies!
No!
No.
So far, the captain's instincts have been spot-on.
We were right on track to make it
to the Cliffs of Calmar before midday tomorrow
thanks to Sterling's clever plan.
We're here.
We did it.
What's your plan?
We steal that ship and sail straight on to Calmar.
And how do you propose we do that?
Haven't worked out those details just yet.
You mean you lead us all the way here on a flimsy notion?
I thought you had a plan.
There are troops everywhere, no doubt looking for us.
I'd almost feel safer going through Bandamor.
Hold up.
It's Clemens and Willoughby!
Clemens and Willa-who?
My crew. They survived the storm.
Now I have a plan. Come on then.
I still don't think he has a plan.
Clemens. Willoughby.
Captain.
Yes. Thank you.
- Good to see you both. - You're alive!
I need your help. Can you get the crew?
Absolutely.
- Oh, there he is. - He's alive!
- Ah, captain! Hello. - What do you need?
All right, so here's the plan.
As Sterling explained our mission,
his crew reveled at the chance to help fulfill the prophecy.
Are you with me? Yes!
But we need to steal that ship...
All right.
...and get to Calmar as soon as possible.
But, captain, how are we going to steal the ship in broad daylight?
- The troops are everywhere. - Well, fellows, I have an idea.
Hocus smocus!
Magnificent.
Let's go.
Aye, aye, captain.
Hurry!
Cast off!
20 degrees port.
As the crew navigated across the Gnostic Sea,
Sterling took us below to gather the sacred relics
needed to unlock Credasio's riddle...
Here you go.
...the Golden Key, the Satchel of Stardust,
the Crystal Compass, and the Amethyst Charm.
- That's everything. - There is one more thing.
I believe I've solved an old mystery.
I came across the bones of a nobleman wearing this.
It's the Signet Ring.
I know this ring.
I don't think you realize this is the Royal Signet.
Well, I don't know anything about that,
but there are two things about my father
I shall never forget,
his red beard and this green ring.
Darling, if your father had a red beard and wore that ring--
That would mean you're a princess,
a daughter of King Darius.
It's not likely.
I'm telling you, that is my father's ring.
There is one way to be certain.
Only those of royal descent can wear it.
Watch what happens when I try to put it on.
Clearly not royal.
So do you mean for me to try?
Well, it can't hurt.
- Maybe just a little. - Mm.
There can be no doubt.
The daughter of a king.
You're the only one who can truly claim the throne.
I told you it was my father's ring.
- Gentlemen, I propose a toast. - Mmm.
To The Golden Age.
- The Golden Age! - The Golden Age!
It had all come down to this.
Should we fail to unlock the Sovereign Wand
by midday tomorrow, the enchantment would end
and all would be lost.
Impossible. How could they slip past my entire army like that?
The peasant girl conjured a blinding fog
that covered the docks until sunrise
when the Guards discovered a warship had been stolen.
But of course.
They're sailing to Calmar
while my armies are in all the wrong places.
We can deploy the castle guard,
who will fight to the death for Your Majesty.
Have them follow me to Calmar.
But, Voss, if you fail me this time, I'll have your head.
- A reminder. - What?
A peasant cannot succeed.
And yet she keeps doing exactly that!
Fetch my carriage.
I'll handle this myself.
I'll get you, Cross.
Disregarding her own safety,
Queen Wendolyn raged towards Calmar ahead of her troops.
Hmm.
She was obsessed with one thought.
She must beat the girl from Gevly at all costs.
As Voss and his men followed her toward the cliffs,
the queen's confidence was fueled by the very words of the prophecy,
that only she of noble blood can wield the Sovereign Wand.
And with her sisters out of the race, that wand must be hers.
Hurry up, fool.
Calmar, straight ahead.
Ho!
Commander, I have some bad news.
Careful, there's loose footing.
Well, we've made it to the bluffs. What's the plan?
Voss knows we're here.
But if I can pick a fight with him now,
that may just give us the advantage we need for you to get the wand.
Good. We could use that.
Honor, courage, and valor.
Bravery, strength, and loyalty.
- And magic. - This is it.
Now don't you dare go die on me, Jade Cross.
You are my queen and my life.
And as your queen, I command you to go cut that devil down.
- Yes, Your Highness. - See you at the top.
When I catch that red-haired wench,
I'll peel her like a potato.
Well, I'll peel her first,
then boil her bones with cabbage.
- Always gotta outdo me. - Captain, I don't have a good feeling about this,
and we're running out of time.
Well, we only have two choices.
Either we have to fight them or we can climb.
What if we do both?
Oh, my lord!
Aah!
Hmm. Go ahead.
Perhaps ladies first.
- Huh. - Well done, Mudbrick.
- Uh-oh. No, no, no, no. - Ooh.
- Yuck. - Trollic snot.
All right, Mudbrick, put us down now please.
Goodbye, Mudbrick. I hope you find your family.
Cheers.
Let's go. The Henge awaits.
- Enemy spotted! - All right, men, captain's orders.
Man the cannons! Aye, aye, sir!
Goodings, report on the powder reserve!
We have enough kegs to blow a crater the size of Calmar itself.
- Ammunition? - Tong Fong Crews.
And enough balls to fill the crater! Yeah!
Let's show those treacherous landlubbers what Arra's navy can do!
Load the cannons.
Cannons on the ready.
Ready and fire!
They're giving us cover. Hurry!
- What's wrong? - She's here.
- Who? - The queen.
She's much too powerful.
We'll never make it to Calmar Henge.
I must face her.
But without the Sovereign Wand, she'll be impossible to defeat.
Perhaps, but I can slow her down.
You must carry on.
But the wand is worthless without you.
Just get that Sovereign Wand before the crest of midday.
You'll have your wand.
Cross, you betrayed your queen.
Kill him.
I've longed for this moment, old friend.
Well, well.
Arra Winter.
The Chosen One.
You are even less impressive than I thought.
Hmm. Unexpected.
Bend the knee and return the relics immediately
or I'll burn you just like I did to your village mongrels.
I shall not, and I will never bow to you.
- My queen, on the bluffs! - Of course! It's Sterling.
You don't even have them.
Guards, seize him and bring me those relics.
How foolhardy of you to send one of your cowards to do your own treachery.
There is more courage in the two of them than your entire army.
I'll be sure to inscribe that on their gravestones.
My dear, courage won't stop me from crushing you
and ending your little rebellion.
The rebellion has just begun.
Lay down your sword.
I'll fight to the death for our new queen.
The girl is a filthy commoner.
She is the Chalice Empress.
Even if you had the Sovereign Wand,
do you really think a pitiful peasant like you can control its power?
Only an enchantress with royal blood can wield it.
Looks like I'll be able to control it just fine then.
That's the Royal Signet.
It can't be. That belonged to my father.
You mean, our father. And now it belongs to me.
I may not bear his name, but I do have his blood.
And soon I'll have his throne as well, sister.
I already have enough sisters!
- The commander's battling Lord Voss! - My silver's on the commander.
Ha!
The Sword of Alerion is a mere trinket in your hands.
Going somewhere, captain?
We've got him trapped!
I can still make it.
Surrender, captain.
Want it? Take it.
Over there.
Stop, you!
Next will be your head.
Willoughby, the captain's on his own.
With soldiers ahead!
Let's clear him a path to the Henge!
Tong Fong Crews.
He said, "Aye, aye."
Ready, aim, fire!
Reload!
Doesn't look indestructible.
Ooh!
Don't tire yourself out now.
Arra will be queen of the empire. Yah!
Your delusion will mean her death.
You can't run forever, peasant girl.
The queen, she's too powerful for Lady Arra.
Fear not. Arra will win.
She better win, or it will be our necks.
Tong Fong Crews.
Willoughby, captain's at the Henge.
Hope he has enough time.
So it is destined, the keys or your life.
Tame the horse or die.
Tame the horse. Tame the horse.
An Amethyst Charm to tame the horse.
You are worthy to proceed.
- Tong Fong Crews. - Dragmauroth!
He's heading for the Henge!
We have to draw him away from the captain.
Cannons up 30 degrees.
Let's blast that bloody lizard out of the sky!
A Crystal Compass to set the course.
Fire!
Reload!
Aim. Fire!
Surrender, and I will spare her life.
Fire!
Fire!
He is retreating!
The Dust of Stars to reveal the Chest.
Tong Fong Crews.
This ends now.
He's headed straight for us!
Without your precious sword, I am invincible.
Even in my death, you'll never stop the Golden Age.
Pity you will never know.
Abandon ship!
Hurry!
Jump!
Goodbye, old friend.
Not quite.
Trapped just like the rat you are.
Ha!
Ha!
A Golden Key completes the quest.
Ha!
Ah, commander, how perfect.
You've arrived just in time for my sister
to watch her beloved die!
You betrayed your queen for a peasant,
and now she's dead.
She's more of a queen than you'll ever be.
Ah, excellent.
Now all three kingdoms will be mine.
Guard, place the Sovereign Wand
in the hand of your rightful queen.
Guard!
Guard!
- Arra is my rightful queen. - How dare you.
Ha!
Last but not least...
No!
Put it in her hand!
Arra, you are the Chalice Empress.
Now go.
Lead your kingdom to the Golden Age.
Dragmauroth!
Incinerate!
Dragmauroth!
Resistus!
Dragmauroth!
No!
I'll kill you!
Just finish it then.
Goodbye, sister.
Elsewhere!
Over here.
- Sterling. - Captain.
Did we win?
Behold, your new queen.
Your Highness.
Oh, Sterling, it's all right.
Thank goodness. I don't know how you knights
walk around in these rust buckets.
Is everybody all right?
Better than we could ever have hoped for,
and your timing couldn't have been more impeccable.
Thank you, professor. - My pleasure.
But please, call me Uncle, Your Highness.
Uncle it is then.
And, commander, what of your battle with Voss?
I looked, and he's truly dead.
My nephew here used the only steel
that can bring down the Daemonte.
I love that sword.
Your Majesty, your castle awaits.
Once the citizens heard that Wendolyn was defeated,
they rose up, storming the royal grounds
and seizing the castle in the name of freedom.
The good people gathered from far and near
to witness the long awaited
and triumphant crowning of their new queen.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Good people of Alerion,
I stand before you...
Citizens of Alerion,
we are at the dawn of a new age,
the Golden Age.
Nevermore shall we be persecuted by the wicked elite.
Wendolyn has lost the throne.
Nevermore shall we be terrorized by the fire in the sky.
Dragmauroth is dead!
- Hooray! - Good people of the kingdom,
as my first royal decree,
I hereby declare
let there be magic for everyone!
Yay!
After the coronation,
Arra and I hosted the first annual Royal Festival of Magic.
And that's exactly what it turned out to be-- magic.
Gooses and chickens.
Get your gooses and chickens, everyone.
And that, my friends, is exactly how it happened.
All across Alerion people are rejoicing
because the Golden Age of magic has finally begun.
And here we have the Clabia Number Seven,
guaranteed to cast fine spiritus magic.
Welcome to the kingdom's one-stop magic shop,
where every wand is handcrafted.
And each one comes with Queen Arra's
ten favorite starter spells.
But you must follow them precisely,
or you may end up turning yourself into a crow
just like my poor assistant Douglas over there.
We're still working on a spell to change him back.
And how may I help you, love?
Yes, I need a new wand.
I'll take care of this one, dear.
Well, Priscilla Prescott. I have something for you.
Me?
- From the new Queen Arra. - Oh, my goodness, the queen.
Thank you. Thank you!
- Good day to you all. - Bromley, my old friend!
How are the flying brooms selling?
We've sold three just this week!
The Broommaster II is going to be twice as fast.
- Ooh! - It will be miraculindus!
Ooh!
So that's why there are so few flying horses left in the kingdom.
Ah, I always wondered.
Let's see what we can do about that.
- Greetings, captain. - Ah, Sterling.
That crown suits you quite well, my queen.
It's quite an improvement from my forest bonnet.
This queen business, it's taking a bit of getting used to.
I'm accustomed to dressing myself,
and now I have three people to help me.
Yes, but think of all the beautiful gowns you can shrink.
And I must say, it feels wonderful
to be addressing you as queen instead of Wendolyn.
What did become of Wendolyn exactly?
I banished her to the Ice Realm of Nortica.
Without her wand, she's stripped of all her magic,
making it impossible for her to return.
You finally perfected Elsewhere.
Well, then Alerion is safe for the moment,
but we mustn't forget that the empire remains divided.
Her sisters still occupy the thrones of Brigatha and Traconia.
We must consider them our greatest threat.
And that, my lads, is exactly why I'm building a magical army.
And you both shall be leading it for me.
Training starts at first light.
Ah!
Boys, come along before I regret giving those to you.
- Your Highness. - Right away.
