The Start of Troubles Ahead

When was that thing built?

Report it to headquarters imme—

A hundred out of a hundred. Not bad at all.

Looks like they found us, Cain.

All according to plan.

One Week Later

The fortress was found here, in Bold Creek.

If they cross through the Central Mountains,

there's nothing to stop them

They basically have a knife at our throats.

What shall we do, Mr. President?

Hit the fortress with everything

I-It's going to be a war...

Tell me everything you know,

former leader of the Incarnate squad,

Tell me the abilities, weaknesses,

of all of the remaining Incarnates.

It was a mistake to rely on Incarnates.

We must eliminate every last one.

Claude Withers...

You must be Cain's younger brother.

Yes, that's right.

And as his younger brother,

No matter what it takes.

Tell me!

Why... Why did my brother betray us?!

What in the world is my brother thinking?!

What happened?!

Tell me! Tell me, now!

There's nothing I can tell you.

The only thing I know is how to end this.

Very well. I'll just have to beat

Please, wait!

You're both trying to stop the Incarnates.

If you share the same goal,

Work together? Ridiculous.

That would only bring act two

If that happens, I will stop Hank,

Major Claude.

We've just received an order.

This is an order directly

What does it say?

We are to head to Bold Creek immediately

and assist in the mission to take

It was also confirmed that

You made a wise decision.

There's someone I have to

It's sort of weird not seeing you

This was one of the conditions

This is going to be a joint

We have to make sure the others

I can get a uniform for you, too,

Huh?

How do I look?

N-No, I think I'll pass...

That must be the main squad handling

and over there is the fortress, our target.

Welcome to the front lines

I am Colonel Martin Wall, and I will be

I'm the leader of the Incarnate elimination squad,

Yes, yes. I'm very much aware.

You are the son of our president, after all.

I'm sure you've seen our forces.

We already went through quite a bit

Our recon unit, and even our smaller scout

The moment we get too close,

To add insult to injury, the enemy is using

So you're dealing with the

An extremely quick, skilled sniper,

and a professional at defending his base

If you attack in small numbers, he'll take

Ah, I'd expect nothing less from

You are knowledgeable on the matter.

What would be our best bet moving forward?

There's only one thing we can do.

Damn it. I can't see anything.

Why are we doing this at night?

A night raid?

It will serve as bait to draw him out.

Miles will definitely show himself,

in order to spread fear

Fear?

You may be a skilled archer,

That's why you will choose

to fight up close.

The best way to break down a group

He'll use his voice to intimidate the enemy,

shattering their souls with their own screams.

That is the strategy he excels at.

Hear my hoof beats and quiver in fear!

I will show you undying fear!

I am Death! Your undeniable end!

Run!

Running a surprise attack all on your own...

Instilling fear in your enemies...

I see some things haven't changed, Miles.

You're absolutely correct.

I'll kill any enemy that stands in my way.

You're the one who's changed.

We thought we'd be regarded as heroes,

but instead, we were called Beasts

Seriously, though. Who's the sane one here?

So that's why you went along with Cain?

Cain took what needed to be taken back...

You're running away? How boring!

Fire!

I see you're as overconfident as ever.

Your boldness makes you excel

but you lack caution.

That's your weakness.

Well, you can't blame me for being confident.

I've grown stronger and stronger

You could pretty much call

I hope this next war will be fun,

We're grateful for your safe return!

The captain was here, just like you said.

Let us move our pieces to the next position.

Centaurus hasn't appeared

Thanks to that, we were able to set up

even though they are rather simple.

We will attack the fortress as soon

Yes, sir.

By the way...

I heard that there was another Incarnate

But I'm sure my men were just

Besides...

We will make that fortress fall,

We will do whatever it takes.

That is the mission we are tasked with.

Colonel Martin Wall...

I heard that he's a hero from the civil war,

He's risking his life to fulfill his duty.

We should follow his example.

Yes... I will fulfill my duty.

Cain Madhouse...

I will take him down with my own hands.

U-Um, can I help you with that?

Absolutely not.

This is dangerous. Don't touch it.

What now? There's nothing I can do!

I'm just being completely useless!

Goodness, that sigh! Can you

Th-That's a lot of stuff...

I was told to help because

Damn that army surgeon...

Who makes a fragile woman do all this?

You look pretty strong to me...

Hey. If you're free, why don't you help me out?

I'd love to!

Are these all medical supplies?

We can never have enough.

This isn't just another Incarnate

They have a lot of human

This battle is going to be unprecedented.

Incarnates and humans are banding

What is he actually planning?

There. I've closed up your wound.

Now just rest for a while.

Thank you very much!

Oh, you were watching?

Though it's my old profession,

I think I still have the chops to be a doctor.

To think a once-renowned doctor is now killing

How ironic.

What's the difference?

I get thanked whether

Why not go with the quicker option?

We brought this from HQ.

Now the preparations are complete.

We will begin our plan to capture

Hank.

Having trouble sleeping?

Yes...

Me, too.

This feels rather strange.

When we first met,

that I could never imagine

Well, you did shoot me with

W-Well, what was I supposed to do?

I mean... back then, I...

Please don't laugh!

I never knew you were so mean.

And I never knew you could be so sulky.

I've been focused on fulfilling

It's the only thing that's

And that won't change.

As long as you're alive,

Schaal...

Please come back alive tomorrow.

No matter what.

I will.

It's time.

Charge!

Follow his lead! To the front lines!

Here they come. Fire!

Yes, those as well. Keep loading them in!

Miles... Where are you?

I think it's about time.

Want to come along?

I have my own matters to attend to.

Is that so? Well, see ya.

Did you think you'd be

Run! Run!

Scream even more for me!

We're going to stop him!

Scream!

Let me hear you scream even more!

Heya, Captain.

How'd you like my orchestra of screams?

Did it resonate in your heart?

It appears that Miles Byron,

I'd say it's the opposite.

The doctor in me was saved

I was on the battlefield as an army surgeon

Thank you, Doctor.

Now I can return to the front lines.

No matter how hard I try,

Is there any point to everything

We're alive because of you!

Thank you!

I see... So this is right.

If I kill one man on the battlefield,

Screams of despair and words

Now, scream even more for me!

Scream! Scream!

Scream even more!

Your soul has actually been broken

Bring out our secret weapon on my signal.

We will be the victors here.

This time, I'll kill you for good!

We should've perished along with that war!

Hank!

What... is this?

Do you think Master Cain will be pleased?

You can't stop me!

The new world you tried to kill has arrived.
