But you knew that Dr. Travis's faculties were failing,

and you were afraid that he'd miss the point

that Buford was murdered.

In that case, there would have been no autopsy,

only burial or cremation.

now you accuse me of ruining a perfect crime.

To make it perfect, you also had to destroy Evelyn Colby,

the woman you loved but you couldn't have.

If Dr. Travis missed the hemorrhages indicating murder,

you had to be there to find them.

So the postmortem trail
