Martin Bengtsson broke his contract with Inter
and returned home to Sweden.

There, he continued writing in his notebook.

A few years later this writing became the best
selling autobiography "In the Shadow of San Siro."

With this book Martin became one of the first to expose football's
culture of silence surrounding widespread mental illness among elite players.

A powerful taboo still exiss — despite the fact that Inter,
along with many other clubs, have since been more active on the issue.

Today Martin lives in Stockholm
where he earns a living as a writer.
