Episode Forty-one

Brother Yanxun.

I'm not forcing you anymore.

Please don't do this.

I'm not marrying you.

You can just go and tell my father

that I'm not marrying you.

You just go and admit you mistake to my father.

You just go and admit you mistake to my father.

Brother Yanxun.

Please don't do something stupid.

In that case,

my father will really kill you.

Brother Yanxun.

Yanxun.

You are a lunatic.

You are really going so far as to rebel.

I really wasted my time

to treat you as my brother for these years.

Brother, you took it wrong.

Brother Yanxun is not going to rebel.

He just wanted to...

want to present a protest to father.

Chun'er.

The one who stands in front of you

is not your Brother Yanxun

anymore.

He is a traitor of conspiring against the state.

It's not true, brother.

It's not as what you think.

He just don't want to marry Chun'er.

He is taking revenge.

Taking...

Taking revenge?

You can just ask him in person.

Brother Yanxun.

It's not true, isn't it?

You are not taking revenge, aren't you?

You just want to reason things out with my father,

don't you?

You just don't want to marry Chun'er,

do you?

I want to go back to Yanbei.

It has nothing to do with you.

But when you get married with Chun'er,

my father will allow you

to go back to Yanbei.

Chun'er.

Your father has already arranged a large number of troops

at the Imperial Ancestral Temple

to get my head.

So today, no matter I rebelled or not,

I can't attend

this big wedding.

Because he had never planned

to marry you to me.

And I had never planned to marry you.

You are the animal who bite the hand that feeded you.

What are you talking about?

There's no kindheartedness and justice between Wei State and Yanbei.

It's not true.

It's not true. Brother Yanxun.

It couldn't be true.

How could it happen?

It's not true.

It's not true.

My father has treated you as his own son.

He has not only let you inherit the Duke Dingbei,

but also has married you

his beloved daughter.

But how about you?

You have just rebelled against your country and killed the civilians.

You should be killed for your wolfish nature.

The blood on the Jiuyou Platform has not coagulated yet.

The bone on the Mountain Xiuli has not rotted yet.

The whole family of Duke Dingbei has been wiped out.

The bodies of Yanbei clan have been parted from the heads.

Yuan Song.

You father had killed my whole family

and slaughtered my people.

This is your kindheartedness and justice.

Duke Dingbei had conspired against the state.

It's my father's right to lead troops to fight with the enemy.

It's enough.

Considering our old relationship,

I will let you go today.

You just go back and tell your father

the animosity of extermination of the entire family

will be imposed to him sooner or later.

Tell him to be alive

and don't die too early.

You just go back.

Chu.

You are going to be my enemy, aren't you?

I have never planned to be your enemy.

I will never forget your kindness

of protecting me for three years.

Fine.

Come back with me.

I will intercede for you and protect you.

Don't conspire against the state with Yanxun.

However,

I am going to

be the enemy of the Wei State.

Yuan Song, I'm afraid

that I would never get the chance to repay what I owed you.

Great.

I'm the one who was blind.

Today, I, Yuan Song,

make a clean break with you two.

When we meet again in the future,

we will not be friends

but enemies.

Chun'er.

Come with me.

Why is this happening?

Why is this happening?

Brother Yanxun.

I know it's all my fault.

I know I have made mistake.

I really couldn't do anything at all

when the things happened at the Jiuyou Platform at that time.

I really couldn't

stay with you.

Brother Yanxun, I'm begging you.

Please don't rise in rebellion, okay?

I don't want it.

I want nothing anymore.

I don't want to marry you.

I just want you to be alive.

I just want you to be alive.

Even if you are not with me,

I just want to

see you alive.

I really do, Brother Yanxun.

Chun'er.

Yuan Chun.

You are the princess.

Brother Yanxun.

I'm begging you.

Please don't do this.

Chun'er.

I have blood feud with your father.

I can't bear your deep love.

Brother Yanxun.

Brother Yanxun.

Please don't.

Your highness.

The four camps have already known it

and are assembling the troops.

Time is running out, let's go.

How about the others?

The others are fighting with the imperial guards

at the east gate.

They can't hold it much longer.

Chu, you just get out of the city first

to defend the floating bridge and arrange the river crossing.

How about you?

I will be there soon.

Okay, I will wait for you.

Your highness.

Are we going to the east gate right now?

Don't be rush.

Yuwen Yue has defended the imperial palace

as impermeable.

The Wei State's constitution has not been greatly injured.

The reason we won this time

is the Emperor of Wei

has been taken by surprise.

The chance like this

will never come up again.

So what do you mean, your highness?

I am going to give the Shang Wu Tang a bloodbath.

So the Emperor of Wei will have no general to use

in the ten years.

And I want the children from the power family of Wei State

to spill blood for return.

Young Master, where are we going?

Yanxun will necessarily go to Shang Wu Tang.

He is going to kill

all the students in there.

Those men

are the foundation to build Wei State.

Yue Qi.

This is the tiger-shaped tally given by the emperor.

You just take it

to assemble forces in the nearest camp.

Yes.

I just knew you would come here.

You are the only one could figure it out.

Do you hate here so much

that you just want to destory it in person?

I don't hate this place.

I just want to cut the weeds and dig up the roots.

This is the place we met each other

for the first time.

I can remember it.

I had a fight with Zhao Xifeng

that day.

And you won.

I can remember

what you said at that time.

A brother for one day...

will be a brother forever.

I, Yuwen Yue,

had never done anything

to disserve my brother.

I have made clear

what happened three years ago.

You had helped me

so I owed you.

So today,

I will let them go

to reward the kindness of protection

I owed you three years ago.

Yuwen Yue.

When we meet again in the future, we will be enemies.

There is no mercy at the battleground.

Report, the troops of Xiaoqi Camp

are coming from the behind.

Your highness.

You are leading the troop to leave through the east gate.

I will bring up the rear for you.

You should take care.

Everyone needs to converge at the east gate

when the clearance signal is received.

Okay.

The troop of Xiuli, come with me

to cover for the evacuation of the prince.

Yes.

Chu.

Miss Yu.

The prince is coming soon.

There is only one floating bridge here.

And it takes time to cross the river.

There are so many soldiers of Xiuli,

could they cross the river before it gets dark?

This is all arranged by the prince,

it should be fine.

Your highness.

The soldiers of Xiuli who guarded here

all died in battle.

We have to get out of the city as soon as possible.

Since you have got off safely,

I will go

and summon He Xiao immediately.

It's not necessary.

The troops of the four camps

have been dispatched out.

The troop of Xiuli has devoted them bravely

to defend the military prowess of Yanbei

and has become the role models of all soldiers.

Pass my order

that the entire army will retreat through the east gate

and block off the gate after evacuation.

- Yes. - Retreat.

East Gate

Commander.

Why hasn't the price order

us to retreat yet?

The troop of Yuwen Huai

is coming soon.

We can't hold on for long time.

The number of the soldiers of Yuwen Huai is 10 times than us.

There is no chance to win.

Let's just go to the east gate to break out

and catch up the prince.

Retreat.

Retreat.

Open the gate.

The gate can't be opened.

Commander.

Our brothers who guarded the gate

have all die in the battle.

The prince has run away.

What did I say?

We have been abandoned.

It's not going to happen. It's not going to happen.

Even if the price has abandoned us,

Coach Chu will not lie to us.

Don't be so naive.

We have been betrayed.

He had said that

we would go back home decently.

He was just lying.

Why are you putting on the long faces?

Didn't you just shout out all day

that you want to risk your lives?

What? When it really comes,

are you all scared?

What are you yelling?

Who is scared?

Yeah, why are you shouting?

Now, like me,

You are just a normal solider.

If you yell again, I will beat you.

Brothers.

Because of us,

the Duke's family died.

This is what

we owed

the Yan Household.

From now on, we are no longer in their debt.

Even if we will die,

we have had wonderful days.

Guys.

Let's fight

with all our strength.

Let's show them

we are not traitors.

We are not cowards.

Come on.

Let's go back to the Mountain of Xiuli together.

Let's go back to the Mountain of Xiuli together.

Let's go back to the Mountain of Xiuli together.

Let's go back to the Mountain of Xiuli together.

Let's go back to the Mountain of Xiuli together.

Let's go back to the Mountain of Xiuli together.

Let's go back to the Mountain of Xiuli together.

Let's go back to the Mountain of Xiuli together.

Let's go back to the Mountain of Xiuli together.

Let's go back to the Mountain of Xiuli together.

(Sound of riding horses)

Yan Xun, where is the troop of Xiuli?

They are on their way.

Aren't we supposed to wait for them?

They will catch up with us.

Let's go now.

Let's go.

(Sound of shooting arrows)

(Sound of soldiers walking)

Chu. Where are you going?

We promised the troop of Xiuli

we would bring them back to Yanbei.

We need to keep our words.

I have never promised

to bring them back to Yanbei.

They are all traitors.

They need to be punished.

You go first.

I shall bring them to catch up with you.

(Sound of riding horse)

A Chu.

A Chu.

A Chu.

(Sound of riding horse)

Array.

Array.

Shoot.

Shield.

(Sound of shooting)

Attack.

Attack.

Attack.

Attack.

Attack.

Attack.

- Attack. - Attack.

(Sound of fighting)

(Laughing)

Don't be afraid.

We are going to heaven together.

Wait for me.

(Yelling)

(Sound of fighting)

You traitors.

How dare you.

Shoot.

The troop of Xiuli

is not defeated yet.

Array.

Protect the ensign.

(Sound of falling down and struggling)

(Sound of cutting the rope)

(Sound of the Gate opening)

(Sound of riding horse)

(Intense background music)

Soldiers from Yanbei.

You are not deserted by Yanbei.

Follow my order.

I am going to bring you home.

Go home. Go home. Go home.

Go home. Go home.

He Xiao.

I am here.

Retreat now.

Coach Chu,

we are going back with you.

we are going back with you.

we are going back with you.

None of you is going out here alive today.

The troop of Xiuli.

Yes, sir.

Be strong.

The reason why you can survive until today

is all because of me.

(Sound of pulling out the sword)

Fine. I am repaying you

right now.

(Sound of fighting)

The Chief is dead. The army of the Wei State is defeated.

(Cheering)

(Intense background music)

The way forward is very narrow and hard to go through.

Be careful.

I have some new info.

Your Royal Highness, something horrible happened.

General Wei Shuye sent someone to inform us that

Prince Yan Xun plotted a rebellion.

He escaped on the day of wedding,

out of Chang'an.

Gneeral Wei is leading troops

to catch him.

Where is General Wei?

No idea.

When General Cheng left,

General Wei already passed through Lv County.

Your Royal Highness Xiang, according to the Crown Prince…

Tie You.

From now on,

my Vice General shall take responsibility to protect the Crown Prince.

Yes, sir.

Your Royal Highness Xiang. Your Royal Highness.

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

We have waited for five days.

We need to leave now.

Your Highness.

We have delayed for days.

We have hided our track well

all the way here.

However, if we remain here,

it is only a matter of time before the army of the Wei State catches up.

That's right.

Your Highness. Chu is leading the troop of Xiuli

in Chang'an

to stall the enemy as long as possible.

She is buying us time to escape.

We can't let her down.

(Sighs)

I am just worried that

when Chu arrives,

she will be disappointed if she doesn't see me

waiting for her.

Your Highness.

You are leading the only remaining soldiers

loyal to Yanbei.

Yet you chose to stay in this place of danger

only because you are afraid that

when Miss Chu arrives,

she will be disappointed if she doesn't see you.

You are too…

Do you have a problem with that?

I abandoned the Xiuli Army

She must be angry with me

I just want to wait for her myself

When she comes

maybe she will forgive me

Prince, the successful

should throw away emotions...

Prince

One more night

We must leave tomorrow morning

no matter she

comes or not

I believe she will

be back to Yan safely

Brother Yan Xun

I am already your bride

No matter where you go

I will find you

(Screaming)

The enemy is stepping closer

Give the order

Wait

Head Chu

Just a while

If we don't move now

we will miss

our best chance for ambush

He Xiao, believe me

One minute

The enemy has entered the valley

What are we waiting for?

Till they...

Move

Xiuli Army,

kill!

Kill

Kill

(Sound of fight)

Miss

Our tenth ambush ends well

Our enemy did not chase us

Okay, let our brothers withdraw

Yes

Head Chu, stepping back at this time

Our soldiers are at the highest spirit now

Shouldn't we pursue the retreating enemy?

Leaving at this time

Are't we throwing away our best chance?

Right

We are now enjoying the fight

A chance to revenge

How can we give it up?

I know what you are thinking

After all these days

your spirit has risen up to the peak

You keep winning

Some of you may think that

we should not

waste our chance

and give up the combat success right in front of us

But is that true？

Once the information of battle

in the Feng Cheng Valley was spread,

the majesty of Wei get angry

There will be a hundred times of

military forces chasing us

I believe, right now

the soldiers of Wei have returned

to kill us

But we have

run out of food and weapons

We don't have spare horses

food or medicine

How long can we keep

fueling war with warfare?

Once our conditions are found out

they will come for us

like crazy dogs

Even the fiercest lion

has to sleep

The safety of princce

has been ensured

What you have done

is the pride of

the whole Yan

It's enough

We are all tired

We should go back to Yan

Your family needs you

We don't have any family now

Right

The prince have abandoned us

We are traitors of Wei

as well as betrayers of Yan

Where can we go?

I'd rather die in the war field

and end my life with honor

Yeah

Die in the war! End with honor!

Do not believe those ridiculous

rumors!

But the prince did not take us with him

He locked the gate

Left us here

We all saw it

with our eyes

He did not abandon you

He sent me to save you

He sent you alone

Yes

Just me alone

But I did it

I saved you

This is the fact

Undoubted fact

I am telling you

Do not hesitate any more

You risked your lives

to protect your home

The whole Yan will remember your loyalty

Please come back with me

He Xiao will follow your step

We will follow you

We will follow you

My rabbit tail

(Screaming)

Prince
