Episode 5

23

- Please forgive me. Ru Yue, Ru Yue, please forgive me.

- Let go of me.

24

Forgive me, Ru Yue.

25

You are indeed the mastermind behind the drug trafficking.

26

First, you framed Xianya. Then, you want to kill him.

27

Why? You can't even wait for the wedding ceremony to end?

28

So what if it's true?

29

Ru Yue.

30

Jiang Ren. Is it really you?

31

You planned all this?

32

I don't believe it.

33

If my guess is right,

34

Ru Yue was also killed by you, right?

35

Because she saw something which she shouldn't have seen.

36

- Why did you do this?

- Princess.

37

I can't watch you marry this unfaithful and useless hypocrite.

38

Let go of me!

39

Why did you do this?

40

Take me as a hostage. Hurry.

41

Princess,

42

it is too late.

43

If there is an afterlife, I wish that I'm not a slave anymore,

44

be able to stand next to you,

45

and protect you in an open and aboveboard manner.

46

What is he doing?

47

The bride...

48

How could he do such a thing?

49

Is he even human?

50

Princess,

51

this is the last thing I can do for you.

52

No one can escape.

53

Come with me.

54

- Ru yue.

- Xianya!

55

Ru Yue, wait for me.

56

Ru Yue!

57

Wife!

58

Wife, how are you?

59

Xianya...

60

- Xianya...

- Wake up!

61

Xianya!

62

- Wake up...

- Xianya...

63

Xianya...

64

What should we do?

65

Child, wake up!

66

Xianya...

67

This wild opium can induce hallucinations by itself. You need just a little bit.

68

After lighting it up and inhaling it,

69

it can paralyze the meridians and cause hallucinations.

70

Hell-like illusions. Can kill people without detection.

71

So this is what Ru Yue saw before her death.

72

- Xianya!

- Xianya...

73

- Xianya, wake up.

- Wake up, Xianya!

74

Xianya...

75

- Child.

- How can you leave mother behind?

76

Xianya...

77

Princess...

78

Please call the imperial doctor.

79

Your Highness, Princess just suffered a head injury

80

causing her to temporarily lose consciousness. It's no big deal.

81

Well, that's good. Thank you.

82

Prince Yu, you're welcome.

83

Then I'm leaving first.

84

Okay.

85

Minghui, are you feeling better now?

86

Where am I?

87

At home. You are already home.

88

What happened?

89

It was Jiang Ren.

90

The red candles at your wedding were changed by him.

91

- They were replaced by red candles which can cause hallucinations.

- Slowly.

92

All people who inhales the smoke will get poisoned.

93

Luckily, the servant of Mr. Ye promptly noticed it.

94

Otherwise, all people will now be dead.

95

What about Jiang Ren?

96

Where is Jiang Ren?

97

Jiang Ren has already been killed by Officer Zhao on the spot.

98

And, this is Lord Ye's daughter, Ye Yuan'an.

99

We were able to turn danger into safety today all thanks to their help.

100

Be careful.

101

Thank you, Officer Zhao and Miss Ye for saving everyone.

102

I'm certain to return your grace.

103

Princess, you have said it too seriously.

104

Princess, we can't bear to accept your bow.

105

Minghui, your body is still very weak.

106

Quickly go back to bed and rest.

107

Jiang Ren, you knocked me out to kill all people

108

and let me be the only one to live, right?

109

When did you start suspecting Jiang Ren?

110

When I saw him in the fragrance market, I found his appearance too fishy.

111

Jiang Ren.

112

Didn't you doubt Xianya before?

113

[Pei Xianya]

114

Do you know whose business is this?

115

It's owned by the third son of the Ministry of Education, Pei Xianya.

116

When all evidence point to one person,

117

sometimes, it's not this person.

118

It is to bring our attention to the wrong direction.

119

Lanzhi, why are you also here?

120

I saw that Qianduan Brothel was sinking and came to save people.

121

What happened?

122

Help me to pull her up the bank first.

123

Okay.

124

Then last time, why didn't you question him face to face?

125

I didn't have evidence. I didn't know why he would frame Xianya either.

126

So today, you and Xianya schemed to lure Jiang Ren out.

127

But we were one step wrong.

128

We didn't expect that he would light up those poison.

129

We almost lost our lives.

130

A good wedding almost became a funeral.

131

But Xianya has poor health because of his long-term opium addiction.

132

He lost his life.

133

I think that heartbreaker deserves this.

134

Your horse slave is good. He's loyal and capable.

135

He takes good care of you.

136

But before he was in Qianduan Brothel, what was his background? You need to figure it out.

137

He said that he didn't remember. But for a man with his strength and diligence,

138

he surely is from a poor family. What else could it be?

139

I think he might have untold stories.

140

But there's one thing I still didn't figure out.

141

That day, when Xianya was tried on the court,

142

if Princess didn't come,

143

what would have happened?

144

The case has some questionable points to begin with.

145

Even if Princess Minghui didn't come, I would save Xianya at the last moment.

146

But without a turn of events like that, Jiang Ren wouldn't have been forced to show himself.

147

Hence, Princess Minghui came.

148

It shows her sincerity to Xianya.

149

But when she woke up from coma just now, she asked about Jiang Ren first.

150

Until we left, she didn't care about whether Xianya was alive at all.

151

Never mind. That's just a casual remark.

152

I'm leaving now. There will still be drinking later tonight.

153

Cheers for the truth and clearing of wrongdoing.

154

Have a toast.

155

Cheers! Cheers!

156

Miss, you must accept this kowtow by us.

157

If it weren't you, I would have been persecuted to death.

158

How could I still have good days with Shi Tou like this?

159

Then according to what you said, I think I suffered a loss.

160

Not only did I spent money and effort,

161

but also lost my best horse slave.

162

However you calculate it, I seem to be at a disadvantage.

163

I...I also want to feed horses for Miss for my whole life.

164

Forget about it. Get up and sit down.

165

Give it to me.

166

Xiaoyu, I bought it from the best jewelry store in the city.

167

See if you like it.

168

Shi Tou, these are some money and your contract of bondage.

169

From now on, you are no longer a slave.

170

Miss, this...

171

This is jewelry from Mengjinyuan.

172

This is too expensive. I can't take it.

173

Miss, it's so nice of you.

174

Miss, you're really kind-hearted.

175

Yes.

176

Treat those as your wedding gifts.

177

What are you doing here alone?

178

Why don't you go outside and drink in their engagement ceremony?

179

When Shi Tou leaves in the future,

180

you and Uncle Xia will be left managing the horses.

181

If you can feed the horses well, I will definitely be good to you.

182

How will you be good to me?

183

How do you want me to be good to you?

184

Don't beat me.

185

Don't worry. I'm not that kind of person.

186

I'm the best master in the world.

187

I know that you won't call me master now.

188

No problem. I can wait.

189

Okay, you can stay here.

190

If you're hungry, go out and eat some food with them.

191

I have something to do. I'm leaving now.

192

The case of Qianduan Brothel is finally settled.

193

Take this rare thing as a memento.

194

Say, you knew so much about this case.

195

Did you kill someone in the same way before?

196

Guess as you want.

197

Honored State Preceptor, I have completed my mission.

198

I got one of the Nine Divine Beads.

199

I present it to you with great respect.

200

It is real.

201

It is real.

202

I found a Divine Bead.

203

Finally, I found one Divine Bead.

204

Master, I finally helped you find one Divine Bead.

205

Princess Minghui is smart, agile, and brave since you were little.

206

This time, if you didn't disguise yourself as a bait,

207

how could you get this Divine Bead from Xianya?

208

But the process is quite breathtaking, isn't it?

209

My plan was almost interrupted by Jiang Ren who loves you so much.

210

Everything is under my control.

211

But Jiang Ren's death is a pity.

212

I will never let Ye Yuan'an and Zhao Lanzhi go.

213

Those are not important.

214

The most important thing now is to find the remaining six Divine Beads.

215

Master, tell me the secret of the Divine Beads.

216

Master, please tell me the secret of the Divine Beads.

217

You're bargaining with me?

218

Aren't you afraid that I'll kill you?

219

Master, you've been looking for the Divine Beads for more than 20 years, but with no result.

220

I found one for you so soon.

221

This is fate.

222

Buddha only leads predestined people.

223

If you want to get the Divine Bead, you can't seize it or demand insistently.

224

It's like begging for alms.

225

You can only have it if the original owner is willing to give it to you.

226

Master, can you find someone better than me?

227

See, you are still young.

228

You can't retain your composure so soon?

229

You're my best disciple.

230

You will inherit my legacy.

231

Right, don't you want to learn those magic arts from me?

232

As long as you can help me find the rest of the Nine Divine Beads,

233

I will teach you whatever you want to learn.

234

Disciple understands.

235

Huo Yang.

236

Greetings, Master.

237

Greetings, Princess.

238

He is Huo Yang.

239

His martial arts are no worse than you.

240

Jiang Ren died.

241

I'll let him be by your side to help you accomplish your grand mission.

242

Thanks, State Preceptor.

243

Informing Your Highness, the case of trafficking opium in Qianduan Brothel has been investigated thoroughly.

244

There's no illegal income in Prince Yu Masion.

245

All things were done by servant Jiang Ren privately.

246

His network of transporting, selling, and producing opium

247

has been destroyed by us.

248

Lanzhi, this time you did a good job.

249

You didn't disappoint me from cultivating you.

250

You also lived up to your father's expectation of you.

251

I'll reward you separately.

252

Thank you, Your Highness.

253

Yuan'an, Yuan'an. Yuan'an, Yuan'an, wait for me.

254

There's a big piece of good news.

255

Good news? You are leaving?

256

No, No. Not my good news, it's yours.

257

Someone wants to marry you. He has come to propose marriage.

258

That gentleman is so handsome and well versed in both literary and martial arts. To you he's...

259

What? Who said that I'm going to get married?

260

Who's going to get married?

261

A grown girl can't be kept at home.

262

You can't live with me and your father for the whole life, right?

263

Don't worry. No need for you to worry about this.

264

I'm going to talk to my father in a while.

265

Your father allowed me to make the decision.

266

You have made up your mind to send me away, is that it?

267

I'm doing this for your good.

268

Okay, there's one condition.

269

Say it.

270

I will meet him by myself.

271

- This...

- Or forget about it.

272

Okay. Okay. Do whatever you say, okay?

273

You'll meet with him.

274

Come, come here.

275

Don't hurry, don't hurry. Don't... Don't...

276

Okay...

277

How many times have I told you?

278

I need a real person to test my medicine.

279

How many monkeys have died of your medicine, do you know that?

280

You want to test it on real humans? Won't that lead to deaths?!

281

Or, you can just test it on yourself.

282

What are you looking for here?

283

You...what are you doing with that?

284

Are you going to rob someone?

285

Step mother asked me to have a blind date.

286

I'm going to meet that person.

287

Can we discuss something?

288

If you don't like that person, bring him back for me to test my medicine, okay?

289

I'm putting on rouge.

290

Blue collar and black robe.

291

It should be him.

292

Gentleman, are you waiting for me?

293

- Aunt...

- Don't call me aunt. I'm only 16 years old.

294

No, you must be mistaken.

295

- What mistake? Haven't we made an appointment?

- I don't know you.

296

How dare you! Sun Xiaohe.

297

I finally know what you really are like.

298

You asked to meet me, but also asked someone else?

299

You actually...found such an ugly woman to humiliate me?!

300

You... You really have a bad taste.

301

Xiao Lian, I really don't know this aunt.

302

- Don't know her?

- Could you let me explain?

303

You're still quibbling?!

304

Officer Zhao! Officer Zhao, you're here.

305

- Don't come close to me.

- Officer Zhao, it's me.

306

- Don't come close to me.

- I'm Yuan'an.

307

I'm Yuan'an. This is my skin mask.

308

It's me.

309

This thing has spread throughout the world for a long time,

310

but it's not easy to make it so perfect and genuine.

311

As far as I know, in this world there's only one person

312

who can make such a good one.

313

Who?

314

The first wanted criminal in the country,

315

Evil monk Chen Tianshu.

316

I'm going to give the Divine Beads to you.

317

Two beads for each person to help you get enlightenment.

318

Master...has passed away.

319

Master has just passed away and his body is still warm,

320

but you're in a hurry to rob the Divine Beads?

321

This is a treason. Do you know it?

322

I came to Ci'en Temple when I was 8 years old.

323

How many hardships have I suffered and endured so I can get to where I am today?!

324

Master has already passed away.

325

The Divine Beads should be mine.

326

You asked for it.

327

I will show mercy today

328

and send you all to accompany Master!

329

The Divine Beads are mine.

330

I don't know.

331

I'm leaving if you don't need anything else.

332

Yuan'an,

333

how did you know about

334

Ru Yue dying of hallucinations?

335

Or, who told you that?

336

It is none of your business.

337

Am I your prisoner or what? You're interrogating me?

338

I'm so unlucky to see you here.

339

It was you who asked that we meet.

340

- I kept my promise.

- I really don't know this aunt.

341

- Get out of the way.

-You have to trust me, Xiao Lian.

342

Xiao Lian. Xiao Lian.

343

- See, I really don't know this aunt.

- Stop saying it.

344

Blue collar and black robe...

345

So the person I was meeting is Zhao Lanzhi.

346

You tricked me, Zhao Lanzhi.

347

I came here to meet you honestly, but you wore a mask.

348

Who fooled whom?

349

So what?

350

Okay. Farewell!

351

Ye Yuan'an!

352

Chen Tianshu was a originally a disciple of Master Sanzang.

353

Master Sanzang has just passed away,

354

when he committed a cruel crime by murdering his co-disciples.

355

He's a cunning and fierce man.

356

You're smart, meticulous, naive, and kind.

357

Don't let others lead you astray.

358

It's none of your business.

359

Who do you think you are that you can lecture me?

360

Yuan'an, don't forget why we are meeting today.

361

For blind date. What's wrong?

362

Do I like you or I am married to you?

363

Don't worry. After going back, I will tell my family that I don't like you.

364

Take it as a memento.

365

Yuan'an.

366

Yuan'an, what do you think of Mr. Zhao?

367

He's a descendant of a noble family.

368

His father is the renowned General Zhao Jinglian.

369

I heard that Empress once attached great importance to him.

370

How is he? You like him very much, right?

371

Don't meddle with my affairs in the future.

372

Come, come here.

373

Help me test the medicine. Choose a color.

374

Don't worry. After eating it, you will become beautiful.

375

Have a try. Choose one.

376

What are you doing?

377

This... Why are you like this?

378

You're not happy and you vent it on my medicine. You are really...

379

You are really...

380

Chen Tianshu.

381

Whom are you calling?

382

Chen Tianshu.

383

Monk Tianshu.

384

I...

385

It seems that I once used this name.

386

If you have any question, just ask.

387

I just want to know what you did at that time.

388

Was that terrible case did by you?

389

Why do you want to know this?

390

Because the reason I helped you is that I want to be a heroine.

391

I don't want to be an accomplice and harbor a criminal.

392

About this question,

393

I have been asking myself for many years.

394

Am I a bad person?

395

If I am a bad person,

396

then with master teaching me, cultivating me,

397

and treating me like a biological father,

398

why would I wrong him?

399

If I am not a bad person,

400

then why did they say that I was the one who killed my co-disciples?

401

In the end, I became a wanted criminal.

402

And my senior Tianqiao, he became the State Preceptor.

403

Who is good and who's bad,

404

sometimes it's hard to tell.

405

Then why do you have only two Divine Beads?

406

Because Master only gave me two.

407

This is the Nine Divine Beads, not your normal divine beads.

408

It is an ancient spiritual treasure protected with Master's Buddhist magic.

409

You don't doubt me anymore?

410

If you were really a bad person,

411

you wouldn't end up in a dire state

412

and even taken in here by me.

413

What she said makes sense.

414

Chen Tianshu was originally a disciple of Master Sanzang.

415

Master Sanzang has just passed away,

416

when he committed a cruel crime by murdering his co-disciples.

417

He's a cunning and fierce man.

418

You're smart, meticulous, naive, and kind.

419

Don't let others lead you astray.

420

Actually, Zhao Lanzhi is quite good-looking.

421

But I hate him.

422

He's always self-righteous and thinks he's right about everything.

423

I don't want to talk to him.

424

This horse is a good horse... (T/N talking to the horse)

425

What are you saying?

426

Being shy?

427

Pull the horse here for me.

428

I'm going outside to play.

429

Where are you going?

430

I heard of a performing troupe. I'm going to see it.

431

Let's go.

432

- Congratulations!

- Thank you.

433

All are mine.

434

Come here quickly.

435

Good! Good!

436

Go and put the food box at the door of the basement. Come back as soon as you've put it there.

437

Don't stay inside. Remember it.

438

Newcomer?

439

What's your name?

440

Don't burn your butt.

441

Mu Le, right?

442

Don't worry,

443

I'm not a bad person.

444

Actually, I am a doctor.

445

You don't believe it?

446

Stick your tongue out and show me.

447

Don't think that because you're alive and kicking, you have a healthy body.

448

In fact, you're badly ill.

449

Let me ask you, did you shit this morning, which color is it?

450

Which color?

451

Think about it and say. Quickly. Say, say.

452

I... I... I didn't notice it.

453

See, stick your tongue out and let me see.

454

From that, I can tell you whether you are healthy or not.

455

Open your mouth wide and stick your tongue out.

456

Right, right, right.

457

I finally have a living man testing my medicine!

458

- What's going on?

- What is he doing?

459

- Young master.

- Stinky rascal...

460

- Young master.

- I will kick you out of here!

461

Young master, are you okay? Are you okay?

462

Why isn't he getting better?

463

465

466

It was because of the heat of summer.

467

I'll give him an acupuncture and he will be okay.
