Miss.

Are you alright?

This is just the first day after

you and Third Madam took care of Hengyu in turn.

Are you feeling anxious already?

Though Hengyu and I are just dozens of meters apart

I feel really worried and upset

to leave him under the care of someone else.

How about we enter the room and see him?

Miss.

These rules

are set by Madam herself.

We can't break the rules by going in.

But as the saying goes, no one would say no to a smiling face.

If I visit her with gifts,

Qi Wan won't turn me down.

That's right.

But Miss,

I'm afraid she won't like the gifts

we could afford with our savings.

I have a good idea.

Hengyu.

Let me teach you to read.

Turn your head. Look at the book.

Hengyu, look at the book.

Read after me.

Man on earth, good at birth.

Repeat it.

Man on earth.

I'm not asking you to read.

Hengyu, repeat it.

Man on earth, good at birth.

Louder!

Man on earth, good at birth.

Louder!

Man on earth, good at birth.

The same nature varies on nurture.

Auntie, I don't want to read them.

Why?

Studying is good to you.

If you don't study,

how can you bring honor to our family.

I just don't want to read.

You are a bad boy.

Alright, Hengyu. Read it. Just read it.

Miss, Du Ruofei seems to

have something to give to you.

She is at the door.

Is she here to make more trouble? I...

Changren.

Take care of Hengyu, and make him stop crying.

Take good care of him.

I.. I'm going to see what Du Ruofei wants to do.

Jiao Xing, let's go.

Don't cry. Don't cry.

I... I... I

Wan.

You look so beautiful today.

Today? I look beautiful every day.

Yes, you are right.

Of course you look pretty every day.

Right, Chun Ying?

Yes.

Where are you doing?

Hengyu want flowers.

I'm going to pick it for him.

Let me go with you.

No need.

I can do it myself.

Hengyu needs a quiet place

to read books.

Chun Ying.

I specially prepared

this gift for you, Wan.

It's made with natural material.

You can try it on.

Leave it here. I'm no hungry now.

Madam, this is lip balm.

Ms. Du made it for you personally.

Oh, lip balm.

I thought it would be something else.

This is lipstick.

You can apply it to your lips

with this small brush.

I will make it in more colors in the future,

such as strawberry pink, maple red,

and light purple.

Alright.

I don't need that much lipsticks.

Let me help you try them in the room

I think we can try them in that pavilion.

We can enjoy sunshine and wind there.

Jiao Xing, bring me a mirror.

Alright.

Pavilion is a good choice.

Let's go.

You look so pretty, Miss.

This is red.

You can try

rose red later.

But I feel like it's too sticky.

That's what lipsticks should be like.

It can keep your lips moist.

Elizabeth Taylor once said that

the first makeup product a woman has

should be a lipstick.

Taylor? Which village is she from?

I have properties in two counties.

But I never heard that name before.

It doesn't matter.

What matters is that this lipstick can make you look better.

It can also make your lip lines less visible.

I specially added

some pearl powder into it.

It will make your lips

look shining.

Fine.

I will take them then.

Can I go to

play with Hengyu for a while?

Jiao Xing.

What is Hengyu doing?

He... he is having a nap.

As you heard,

Hengyu is having a nap.

You'd better not disturb him.

If he misses you,

I will invite you here.

Can I just take a look at the door?

Just take a look. Can I?

I will take him to see you when he wakes up.

You can go back now.

Then...

Then...

Please give these toys to him.

These are his favorite toys.

I see. I will give them to him.

Jiao Xing, let's go.

Yeah.

Well.

I guess you all have finished your dinner.

You all know

why I invited you here for dinner, don't you?

I want to discuss with you

who should have

Yu'er's custody.

I vote for Ruofei.

I vote for Wan'er unconditionally.

I'm sorry, Wan. I vote for Ruofei.

Xun Changle! I...

I think

it's better to let

Wan'er take care of Yu'er.

Mother.

Now, it's two votes against two.

Who is going to have Hengyu's custody?

We must make a decision today.

Here he comes.

Madam.

Why is everyone here today?

It looks like I came at the right time.

Why are you all looking so serious?

Shouldn't I come?

No, you came just at the right time.

We are discussing

whether to let Ruofei and Changhao

or let Qi Wan and Changren to take care of Hengyu.

Who will you vote for?

Your vote

matters very much.

Sure enough.

I shouldn't have come.

Madam, I will visit you another day.

Come back and sit down.

Vote.

This is a very serious matter.

Wan.

Of course, I will vote for Ruofei.

Mother.

Now, it's two votes against three.

So it will be Ruofei to take care of Hengyu.

It's settled then.

Hold on!

I vote for Wan.

Are you crazy?

Ruofei.

Calm down.

Wan.

I don't want to fight you for Hengyu.

I'm bound to...

I mean I won't have the chance

keep him company while he grows up.

It's just that

he is not like other kids.

So we need educate him according to his aptitude.

I can tell that

you are a kind-hearted person

with a strong sense of responsibility.

So

I'd like to propose a toast to you.

Thank you. I'll drain my cup.

Well, it's settled then.

Wan'er will

have Yu'er's custody.

Ruofei, I want to propose a toast to you, too.

This has nothing to do with you.

How about I propose a toast to all of you?

Let's drink together.

Alright.

How about it?

I wish all of you happiness.

Cheers. Happiness.

Hengyu. Hengyu.

Don't leave me alone.

Don't leave me alone.

Didn't you say you have a good capacity for wine?

Why are you so stubborn?

My puppy toy.

Puppy toy.

My puppy toy is so soft.

Hengyu.

Changhao.

Mochou.

Come in.

Tell me what happened?

I found a burned letter which

Censorate wrote to Ning Ji.

They ordered Ning Ji to investigate Mr. Zhang's case.

The Censorate supervises all the officials.

So it's normal they would secretly order

the Supreme Court to assist in the investigation.

But usually, Censorate will give a secret order

only after the case is filed.

Now, the case hasn't been filed.

And Mr. Zhang's case hasn't been

transferred to the Censorate.

So why would they write such a letter?

This is fishy.

Besides, if Ning Ji really wanted to keep it a secret,

he would have burned it completely.

Why did he just burn the edge of the letter

but kept the main content intact?

He even left it there for me to see.

The official letter is usually thick.

So it's common that it can't be burned completely.

But two days ago,

I saw smoke rising

from Mr. Ning's brazier.

The letter ash was still warm.

And he even rubbed the ash with his fingers.

It showed that he was a very cautious person.

Why did he remember

to destroy even the ash before

but was so careless to not burn the letter completely this time?

Why did he

leave the letter there for me to see?

No, he left it there for me to see.

He knew the relationship between us.

So he wanted to tell me through you that

the Censorate was spying on me

Is he

a friend or an enemy?

This letter is fake.

But the message he wanted me to know

is real.

Ruofei.

My heard hurts.

I shouldn't have drunken so much.

I made you some hangover soup.

Come on and have some soup.

Don't you like Hengyu very much?

Why did you give up on his custody？

Because I will wake up sooner or later.

No, I mean because

I knew she really cared about Hengyu.

She just didn't know how to educate him.

Thank you.

Why?

Thank you for changing Hengyu for better.

We are a family.

So don't say thanks.

A family?

Who did I make it back last night?

I carried you back in my arms.

And?

And...

Why do I feel like there was someone else?

Yes, there was someone else.

And it was a woman.

It seemed...

My mind is a mess.

You have a hangover.

Have more soup.

How is it?

It's sour.

Changhao.

You are here.

What wrong?

What's so urgent that

you got me here to discuss it?

Can't we talk about it at your home?

No, we can't.

Did you quarrel with Ruofei?

No, we are good.

Why is she being so tender to me these days?

Did she forgive me?

Isn't it great that she is nice to you?

I always feel like

she doesn't take me as her husband.

But as?

But as a good friend.

When we drank together, she called me a friend.

She even called me a bestie.

Bestie?

What does that mean?

I guess it means a brother.

She was calm when she scolded me.

She sometimes offered me good advice.

When I found Hengyu,

she hugged me, crying and laughing.

But I still feel like

she doesn't take me as her husband.

In her eyes, I'm just

a family, friend, and brother.

I feel like

you thought too much.

You were like a couple according to what you said.

No.

I mean I just had that feeling.

It's a feeling, you know?

Yes.

You felt like a brother and good friend to her, right?

It's a complicated feeling.

How about you

take her to the Orchid Sporting House？

After you go there,

you will find

it's a bad idea.

In my opinion,

you are always

so serious.

So it's hard for others

to know what you are thinking.

What if she doesn't like me

and just take me as a friend?

What should I do?

You are married.

Yet you are worried about this?

This...

Does she not allow you to touch her?
