Original subtitles

No one else in this world can kill me except you.

If you tell me to die,

I will.

The only person who can kill him

is the one he loves...

and that is you.

You can't lock me up.

-Son... -Will you call Son O-gong?

If you call him, he'll die.

He will not.

He got hurt when you called him.

Stop, O-gong. Don't!

Why do you think that happened?

The death bell controls your fate.

This bell rings when one meets the other whom they are destined to kill.

That means one of you will kill the other.

Make your choice.

You can have O-gong save you and face the fate...

or disappear right here.

You...

will forever be asleep.

You stay asleep right here.

I'll...

wake up as you now.

I'm in Samjang's body now.

-You woke up. -What brings you here?

It's not like I only showed up when you called.

I'm here because I missed you.

Are you tired?

You were deep asleep.

I had a good dream.

-What kind of dream? -A dream where I was on my way to get

what I really wanted to have.

-So, did you get it? -I did.

And I'm very happy.

You do seem very happy.

Yes.

Then, I hope you continue to have good dreams.

Like O-gong said,

Asanyeo is in Samjang's body now.

Does that mean...

EPISODE 15

...Samjang's dead?

No, she's not.

The drop of her blood inside my body is still intact.

I know that she's still alive somewhere.

Then she can just call Son O-gong.

Why isn't she calling him?

You're right. Something is odd this time.

Since Asanyeo is in Samjang's body now,

we can't even hurt her at the moment. Aren't I right?

He told me that he'll fool her

until he finds a way so that she can't run away.

But will O-gong really be able to fool Asanyeo?

Even when she was in Richie's body,

she had access to all of Richie's memories.

She won't be fooled easily.

Gosh, that monkey can be pretty dumb.

I know that Asanyeo really wanted to marry the Great Sage.

If that's the case,

she'll definitely try to go all the way with O-gong tonight at all costs.

Hence, it comes down to

not letting that happen tonight.

You must not give in,

O-gong.

To you,

I'm the most beautiful woman, right?

I guess it keeps bothering you.

What's wrong?

You were always worried if I'd still be attracted to you

even without Geumganggo.

It must keep bothering you.

-No, I'm okay. -I know you're acting like you're okay.

I'm a total jerk for wanting to hold you when I know everything.

All right, I'll stop now.

I must because I love you.

All right.

It's fine

because we still have time.

We'll have our wedding ceremony soon too.

Am I wrong?

No, you're right.

I will marry the love of my life.

Let's get out of here.

Whenever you're distressed, scared, or in danger,

call my name.

I'll go to wherever you are and protect you.

I'm really scared and distressed right now.

Seon-mi,

where are you?

So, you've decided to get married.

Congratulations.

I'll make sure that your reception is a blast.

Leave the reception food to me.

Thank you, all.

This is my wedding ring.

I see.

As promised, I picked out your wedding dress.

Would you like to see it?

Right now?

-Where is it? -It's in Devil King's room.

Sure, I'll take a look at it right now.

Let's go.

I'll be right back.

Sure.

O-gong, you're being too obvious.

I'm trying not to.

She seems just like Samjang though.

She smells the same. Don't you agree?

She embraced Samjang's energy completely as well.

Well, she wouldn't be here

had she not been so confident.

No, she doesn't seem like Samjang to me.

The room may be a bit chilly due to Devil King's condition.

You're right about that.

Do you like it?

Yes, can I try it on?

Sure.

It's still here.

She's checking out the fake incense burner.

I'm glad we conjured a new one.

General Winter must have the original.

I'm still not over the siblings' betrayal.

The smoke from the incense burner

has turned blue.

The smoke from the burner will turn blue

once I successfully take over Samjang's body.

When that happens, you should smash this.

Without the burner,

Samjang won't be able to come back, right?

That's right.

That's why you need to smash it.

Find General Winter.

We must locate the incense burner.

He's probably hiding in the Middle Realm.

What if he's already gotten rid of it?

If Samjang is gone beyond our reach,

Devil King will sense it.

She's okay for now.

She's still here.

I can still sense her.

Hurry.

I'M COMING FOR IT, SO BRACE YOURSELF

Who was that girl in my class?

Was it the girl I killed?

What are you doing?

Was it the presumed dead girl who was still walking around?

Hey, wake up!

Something scary and dangerous

was sealed in this coffin.

Were those killed by whatever escaped from it?

I must sound insane.

She said she'd come for this coffin.

I was threatened.

However,

I'm excited and thrilled for some reason.

I feel like

something extraordinary will seek me out.

Once Samjang is back,

I'm going to shred Asanyeo to pieces.

Even I can sense your thirst for blood.

If you want Samjang back safely,

you'd better control yourself.

Aren't I right? I know I am.

I love my dress.

That's a relief.

I can't wait.

I'll give you a ride home tonight.

O-jeong, thanks for offering.

I'd rather stay here tonight.

What?

Ms. Ma left with Pal-kye to manage his schedule.

Devil King is still recovering,

so let me be of aid.

I see.

That's great.

Why don't we go over the wedding plans?

Sure.

See you later.

O-gong.

She obviously

wants to get you into bed tonight.

-What will you do? -There's only one way.

Devil King, let me sleep in your room tonight.

No.

Tell her that you need me to keep you warm.

No, I don't want to. I hate the idea.

You can't see a thing anyway.

-Imagine that I'm Queen Mother. -Are you insane? No!

I took ten stars for you.

-No! -You won't even know it's me.

No, I'm not cuddling with you.

There's no way I'm sleeping in the same bed with her.

The reception will take place

in the garden of Waterfall Cave.

Please let me know if you want any specific dishes.

I've already told you what I want.

This is the fifth time to be exact.

All right.

Then please tell me of your beverage preferences.

I'll leave it up to you.

I'm heading upstairs now.

O-gong,

I'm so sorry.

I couldn't

keep her busy any longer.

She's coming.

The groom-to-be was getting a facial,

but fell asleep.

Right?

I...

I was about to get one too.

Hold on.

O-gong? Nutjob?

He must be sound asleep.

There, there.

Wait, Samjang.

Thank you so much

for staying tonight to help me.

Could you take me to my room, please?

Please.

Thanks, Devil King.

Samjang,

why don't we stay here

and talk about your upcoming wedding

all night?

All right. Please have a seat.

Okay. Let's do that.

What do you want to talk about?

What do you want for a wedding gift?

I should give you something precious.

I heard you got Pachoseon as your wedding gift.

I want something just as precious.

Master Subori has Pachoseon now.

I'll get it back after I become a deity.

It was yours to begin with.

But you're just waiting to get it back?

I'm just waiting patiently

until I become able to ease my lover's pain.

The Spiritual Realm tamed you so easily

by making her suffer.

You've become pliant.

And you've even grown weak.

I feel so bad for you.

It's true that I've become weak.

There's the best restorative right in front of me.

If I prey on it,

will I become strong again? What do you think?

How dare you talk to me like that?

Come out.

Come out now.

I'm leaving.

She must have noticed by now.

Go get her before she runs away.

They tamed me?

Wait.

I knew you were deceiving me.

I should've waited longer.

But I couldn't stand you anymore.

You can't even see me get hurt.

What are you going to do with me now?

Where's Samjang?

I'm Samjang. She's gone.

I put her in the stone coffin

where I was locked in.

That woman is dead.

Son O-gong!

She's still there.

I'm sure she's alive.

Let go of her.

If you ever treat me like this again,

I'll make sure to get this body eaten by an evil spirit.

Do you think I can't do that?

Do you want me to bleed right here?

She might end up getting eaten by Devil King.

Do you want me to give it a try?

Stop it.

I can't overpower you on my own.

But...

I'm strong enough to tear this body to pieces.

I'm sorry. Please don't do that.

Please don't hurt her.

Let's have a wedding as planned.

This wedding is a deal.

I'll be...

your bride.

You will stay with me from the moment we get married.

If you behave yourself,

I might be kind enough to wake her up.

It could be 100 years later.

Or maybe 500 years later.

I wonder if you'd still love her until then.

I don't know.

I'm not sure how long it'll last.

But once it's over,

I'm going to kill you.

Then...

I should keep you by my side for a thousand years.

I should get going.

It won't take a thousand years as it did for me.

You just have to find General Winter.

You did a good job.

Devil King, you've felt this way for the past thousand years?

Yes.

Though I know that there's nothing I can do for her,

it is painful not to know where she is and how she is doing.

It's been like that all along.

I can't even wait a day.

I'll go find General Winter.

That stone-hearted monkey

is in real pain.

The Spiritual Realm wanted to punish him.

They've accomplished their purpose.

I feel so bad for you.

I'm sorry.

Asanyeo told me to get rid of this incense burner.

Are you really going to have a wedding?

I'll do whatever she wants until I find General Winter.

Then,

I don't need to get rid of the thing I prepared.

Get rid of what?

It breaks my heart that you did such a good job preparing for the wedding.

I'm sorry, O-gong.

Thank you. Samjang will be excited to see this.

You should go to work now. I'll go see her.

What are you going to do?

I have no choice. I'll go harass her.

She says she feels good.

I'll go...

hurt her feelings.

You're well-proportioned, so anything looks good on you.

I'll take everything from here to here.

Sure.

Also, everything on that rack too.

You have such great taste.

Oh, we'll wrap up the coat and shoes you are wearing now.

Just throw them out.

Okay.

Is there anything else you need?

How about this one?

This isn't my style.

Oh, right. I can see that.

That one over there. The red one.

-The red one. -Oh, no problem.

I'll bring out a new one for you to try.

Thank you very much.

Are you paying with a credit card?

I'll just take them.

Sure.

Just take them.

Miss, wait!

You have to pay for them.

-I said I'm just taking them. -Sorry?

You can't take them without paying.

I told you that I'm leaving.

Right, but you need to pay for them if you want to take them.

I have no money.

Then give them back.

Shouldn't you know better?

Where are you going?

Take that off.

All right, fine. Give me back my clothes.

You told us to throw them out a few minutes ago.

They're in the trash can over there.

You did that, didn't you?

What on earth are you wearing?

It suits you.

Seon-mi looked pretty even in shabby clothes,

-but you're... -I warned you not to threaten me.

I'm not threatening you.

I'm just looking at you because you're so pretty.

I look pretty?

No, you don't. I was lying.

Jeez, I can't believe you bought that. You're easy to fool.

-No, I didn't buy it. -You did,

and I'll keep fooling you.

You said you like me.

You told me that you want me.

Shall I give you my heart?

I won't give it to you. It was a lie. See? You fell for it again.

What are you doing now?

I'm trying to suss you out.

We're getting married, you know.

I figured I should get to know you.

Surprisingly enough, a jerk and a bitch

might actually make a good couple.

Do you think I'm lying?

Do you think I'll fool you? Shall I stop?

No, go on. I'm fine with that.

What should I do?

I'll try to make you fall for me.

All right.

Then let's go to work.

The real estate office?

-Why would I go there? -You will go.

Because I'm going there.

CEO JIN SEON-MI

Seon-mi never missed work even when she was busy

catching evil spirits.

Will you be able to do that?

All of her memories...

are still intact.

I remember even the littlest details.

If you'd like,

I can live exactly like how that woman lived.

Exactly like her?

O-gong.

People who have jobs are busy at this hour.

Stop bothering me and get out.

Hey, you're really good.

Keep going.

I can't help but fall for you.

I've grown to like you,

so you need to take it easy.

Shall I keep going?

You were right. If you keep doing that,

I might actually get fooled by you.

I can do it.

I know that I'll be able to

fool you eventually.

We'll keep on fooling each other.

It may actually help our relationship.

You're good.

A jerk and a bitch will keep on fooling each other.

How constructive.

Fine, it's on you now.

Good luck.

I'll let you fool me if you do a good job.

Go for it.

Good morning, Ms. Jin.

What's wrong? Do I look different today?

What's with you today? Your clothes look filthy.

You have something on it.

Here, wipe it off.

Thanks.

You should brace yourself because we're going to be so busy.

We have a pile of work to do.

That's fine.

We can do it.

REAL ESTATE PURCHASE AGREEMENT

Gosh, Ms. Jin!

Why did you stamp the seal here?

We're so busy today. Now, I have to go print this again.

My goodness.

Why are you so out of it today?

I know what to do in my head, but I've never actually done it.

What the heck are you saying?

You've been doing this for 10 years, and I've worked for you for 3 years.

Gosh, you're acting so weird today.

I can do a good job.

Don't just say that. Gosh, stop.

Look at it before you do it, okay?

And tie your hair back, will you? You keep giving me static shocks.

I almost got electrocuted.

I have to print this out again. Gosh, I'm so stressed out.

I'm really annoyed right now.

Ms. Jin, your family is here.

Sorry? My family?

It's okay. I'm a nice person.

Mr. Son must've called your family and told them about your wedding.

Gosh, all right.

You should catch up.

You can play with me. Let's go.

Your aunt will help you with the wedding, so just give her the money.

Wire the money.

We have good news too.

We're having a second child.

Help us out financially.

Mr. Son called him and told him about your wedding.

It's a happy ending. Congratulations.

Jonathan, good friend.

You're large-minded. You're very understanding.

In celebration of her wedding, shall we go get some drinks?

It'll be my treat.

Okay! Thank you. We're having a party.

Oh, yes. Party!

What now?

Well... Our heater broke out of the blue.

Mr. Son said that we can stay here.

Thank you.

-Aunt Seon-mi. -Aunt Seon-mi.

Kids, if your mom sees this, her feelings will be hurt.

Come on. Let's go in.

It'll take too long to look for him without any clue.

General Winter is not answering, right?

He won't show up if he made up his mind to betray us.

What about Summer Fairy?

She came by when the incense burner disappeared.

Have they been colluding together from the get-go?

It's strange though.

Why did they sneak in as General Winter

and leave an ice incense burner here?

I know for a fact that Summer Fairy can do it too.

So, General Winter put Summer Fairy to sleep

and did it alone?

Well, when Summer Fairy arrived,

it definitely felt warm.

But that night, it got even colder.

Back then, I thought it was because of the cold energy inside me,

but now...

I'm sure that General Winter was here.

Right.

Why are you awake at this hour?

When I went there to pick her up that night,

General Winter was awake.

And he was the one who met with Asanyeo.

Could Summer Fairy have nothing to do with it?

If Summer Fairy had nothing to do with this,

we must call her.

If General Winter was awake all along,

he would be exhausted now.

Summer Fairy, don't try to come out.

General Winter, you must stop this now.

Don't try to come out.

Stay asleep.

Are you going to smash this place up?

Yes.

I have to call Summer Fairy.

Come.

If you don't want to die,

come here.

He's calling me.

Don't answer him.

Stay quietly inside me.

I must go.

I will never let you go.

No. What are you doing?

-General Winter. -No.

If you leave my body,

you will disappear.

Come back.

No!

That's enough.

That's Summer Fairy.

I'm here.

Did you leave your brother's body?

Yes.

This place is special to me.

Please don't ruin it.

You liked this place as well.

Even though you could not drink.

Where's your brother?

Where's the incense burner?

Summer Fairy's soul left General Winter's body.

We found General Winter.

Then...

O-gong will kill him.

I must find Asanyeo

and get my sister's soul back into my body.

-The Great Sage. -Give me...

-the incense burner. -You can't have it.

General Winter!

Samjang could harm you. That's the fate.

Destroying the incense burner

does not mean I'm betraying you.

Samjang...

will be my bride.

I need the incense burner

to bring her back.

Do not come closer.

I must protect my sister's soul.

I did not...

want to kill you.

Stop it!

Don't use your power.

Your soul can't take it.

General Winter.

No. You cannot hold me.

Come back in.

You can't do this.

I should have disappeared long ago.

Thanks to you,

I had a lot of fun

until now.

Now,

I should go.

No.

You can't.

No.

The Great Sage, please forgive him.

Will my death...

be enough

to pay for what he did?

Summer Fairy.

My lovely sister.

Summer Fairy...

I am sorry.

Goodbye.

Devil King, did you recover your eyesight?

I think I did

thanks to Summer Fairy's last gift.

The warmth...

chased away the cold energy.

That's a relief.

When my sister's soul was put into my body,

Asanyeo and I made a deal.

Now that my sister is gone,

the deal is void.

I haven't extinguished the fire in the incense burner yet.

Samjang must still be alive.

You should kill me

and go save her.

Your sister paid for

your betrayal.

General Winter.

Stop crying.

It's cold and snowing because of you.

I hate the cold.

I apologize.

Here, I drew a pig.

Ms. Jin.

The heater at our house is still leaking.

I'll leave when it's fixed.

I can do it.

Dad, can I watch The Haunted House?

Watching something scary will give you nightmares.

Kang Dae-seong is on the news.

Many people are expecting you to go into politics.

Will you do so this time?

As a historian,

I believe

that a leader is born from the spirit of the era.

He's always put together whenever he's on camera.

Put on The Haunted House.

Han-byeol, you need to study hard

to be someone as influential as him.

He's not as decent as he seems.

You've been researching on the land value in Bicheon.

Isn't that because you thought he'd be the next president?

Are you not getting that vibe?

We need a great leader

so that my children can live

in a better world.

A kingmaker priestess?

The incense burner belongs to a priestess

who performed rites to summon a dragon.

A dragon is the symbol of a king.

A dragon was carved on the stone coffin.

That means

the coffin could belong to that priestess.

Who are you?

Hello, I'm here to pick up Ms. Jin.

O-gong has asked for her.

Oh, Mr. Son?

Please come on in.

I was leaving anyway.

Han-byeol, Han-sol. If you're ready, let's go.

Is he Mr. Son's father?

He seems familiar.

Wait, that's right!

How can he... He's that CEO.

So his son...

He said he'd come even if I didn't call him.

Yet, you're here, and he's nowhere to be seen.

O-gong's been watching you all day.

He told me to bring you to Waterfall Cave.

Thanks for the dress.

But why did you take it from me in the first place?

That way, you will feel much more grateful

and annoyed at the same time.

It's pretty.

I won't fall for that.

So, what's all this?

Is this part of your grand scheme to fool me?

O-jeong prepared this.

Don't worry. It's not for you.

-Then get rid of it. -I won't.

We might need it.

You wanted a wedding.

Here you go.

Did you think I will drink this?

I know how you tricked Devil King.

Really?

This wine is really good.

No, don't light that.

It smells great and creates a nice mood.

Don't you do a thing

because I won't be fooled.

I didn't ask you here

to do nothing.

Well, never mind.

Tell me about yourself.

Why are you so desperate to be Samjang?

I'm sure it's not to own a real estate agency.

In this life,

I will summon

a dragon again.

-What? -With it,

I'll crown a king.

With your help and protection,

I can do anything.

This incense burner

links Samjang and Asanyeo's dreams.

Samjang must be in the dream

since she's still asleep.

If Asanyeo enters that dream,

can we swap their souls and bring Samjang back?

Yes, but we need to put Asanyeo to sleep first.

She's on full alert.

She wouldn't dare

to sleep next to O-gong.

I'll be the Samjang that you loved.

I can be her.

And you can be by my side

like you've been by hers.

What will you do for me in return?

I'll help you avoid the fate controlled by the death bell.

That's it.

That's why she's not calling me.

She wasn't aware of the truth,

so I corrected her.

You and Samjang

aren't a match made in heaven.

Once she's back,

you might die at her hands.

Are you still willing to wait for her even so?

No.

I won't wait for her.

You made the right choice.

There are many ways to force-feed someone.

What did you give me?

Something that'll put you to sleep.

It was in the water I drank earlier.

I almost drank all of it, waiting for you to shut up.

Sweet dreams.

Just know that you'll never wake up

in that body again.

-Did you put her to sleep? -Yes.

How? It must not have been easy.

Don't ask how.

Is the fire burning?

Yes.

Asanyeo and Samjang are connected by a dream.

I must go there.

Do you have a way to enter the dream?

You can't go into someone's dream without something that connects you to it.

I do have one.

It will show me where she is.

Jin Seon-mi.

Where are you?

Listen to my voice.

Jin Seon-mi.

Where are you?

Jin Seon-mi.

I'm back here again.

When the fire goes out,

the dream will be divided.

The fire in the incense burner went out?

She's gone.

The connection is broken.

I entered your dream.

O-gong will be in...

Samjang's dream.

Jin Seon-mi.

You helped me a great deal,

so I held no grudge,

but I have no choice because you keep causing trouble.

You must...

go back in here and sleep.

-Now... -Wait.

No.

I don't want to listen to you anymore.

You're being deceived.

You're the one deceiving me.

Do you think Queen Mother's child...

really died?

Why didn't you call me?

Why are you here?

Get out.

Don't come any closer. Don't, O-gong.

You will suffer and die

because of me.

She said it's a death bell. I'm horrified.

I won't leave this place.

Don't come closer!

Fine.

Then kill me right here, right now.

Son O-gong!

Please don't come any closer.

Don't make me hurt you.

You promised me

that you'd come and protect me if I call you

when I'm distressed, scared or in danger.

Now that I'm wearing this,

I'll keep you safe.

Whenever you're distressed, scared, or in danger,

call my name.

I'll go to wherever you are and protect you.

Jin Seon-mi.

Jin Seon-mi.

Jin Seon-mi.

You're awake.

That's great.

Are you okay?

Yes.

I finally got my bride back,

but right now,

I'm so sleepy.

I'm sorry.

This is Asanyeo's incense burner.

I think it should be kept

in the general store.

You really are the best.

Yes, that's right.

I truly am

a hard worker, aren't I?

Did you put Asanyeo back to sleep?

I couldn't.

It seems

that I've gotten too weak.

Richie will never wake up, will she?

Devil King will come and burn her body.

Is she awake?

Richie!

Mr. Jeo.

Please help me.

We're off.

But...

Why aren't they sticking around

to watch her burn?

What are you doing?

Piggy

took Richie and fled.

That piggy did it again!

Why are you getting off?

You wanted to see your mom.

I've changed my mind.

Thank you for your help.

You tricked me again.

You're still Asanyeo!

So?

Will you drag me back to get burned?

Run away and stay hidden.

Don't get caught.

You...

must really love and adore Richie.

Go.

It's nice to be able to use him.

Now...

It's time to go to him.

You've been keeping it safe.

As promised,

I came for it.

I've been waiting.

Pal-kye helped Asanyeo escape.

I'm so sorry.

It's all right.

I was the one who let her escape.

You see, she made me

realize something grand.

Do you think Queen Mother's child...

really died?

The child died.

The child was born between a deity and a monster

and was fed on dozens of human souls.

Do you think the child really died?

You...

What are you trying to say?

The child died, and the mother committed a sin.

In hopes of freeing her from her sin,

you lived like a lamb for 1,000 years.

Just give it another thought.

If you realize that you've been played,

you'll let me escape.

In order to tame the beast in me,

they made her commit sin

and killed the child.

Why didn't I

ever think of it that way?

Don't fall for Asanyeo's words.

If I were truly played,

then they all are my enemies.

The groom found his bride

but is still sleeping.

I, Jin Seon-mi, a human,

is in love with Son O-gong,

the great sage equal to heaven.

Now...

we should put an end to this love.

She said so when she was in Samjang's body.

Has she really chosen him?

I hope that answers your questions about me.

Devil King let you escape?

Are you sure

that the child died?

It's the sword you'll need for the day.

-Is this it? -It shouldn't be yours yet.

I hope you don't end up like me.

Let's hear the truth

about your beginning.
