[Moon Love]

[Hall Dedicated to Wanwan]

Thank you for saving me, My Lord.

I didn't expect

the red threads were so magical.

Just a few red threads.

It was so easy to untie you.

The Jia family is indeed holding

a ceremony of the posthumous marriage for the late Miss Jia.

There is convincing evidence for that now.

The Jia family is a prestigious family in Qingzhou City.

We're unable to punish them easily.

But the witch from Western Region

is full of nonsense.

Investigate and arrest her first.

You go out first. I'll take your place.

Let me meet the witch from Western Region.

[Episode 11]

Your Brother Xie

is safe now.

I helped you save him.

You should thank me.

Fortunately, Brother Xie and Wanwan didn't get married.

Why can't they?

A married couple should love each other.

But Wanwan was in love with someone else.

By the way, My Lord.

You can just catch the witch.

Why are you here pretending to be the bridegroom?

I know I can just catch her.

I just want to see

if the witch will play any other tricks.

By the way, My Lord.

The man Wanwan was in love with

is in the mansion now.

How about

you take this opportunity

to try to persuade Wanwan's grandmother.

Then I'm sure you can help Wanwan fulfill her wish.

Whether her wish can be fulfilled

doesn't depend on what we'll say.

If you're really capable,

why don't you let her show up

and explain to Old Madam Jia herself?

Otherwise,

why would Old Madam listen to you?

If I were able to do that,

I wouldn't have sneaked in.

All right, you get out first.

I'll take care of the rest.

But...

I...

I don't want you

to marry anyone else.

[Jia's Mansion]

What's going on in Jia's Mansion?

Ren Shique's been inside for so long.

But there's been no news from him at all.

Could Yun Zhaoyan and he

be confined in there?

Princess.

Xie Guichen.

Why are you here?

Why are you here?

Go back now.

His Lordship is still inside.

Don't go in and make trouble.

What do you mean?

I am the Princess of Qingzhou.

I've warned you.

What you'll do

is none of my business.

Where are you going?

Since Ren Shique is already inside,

it's out of my hands.

I want to go with you.

You...

What's wrong?

Let's go.

[Jia's Mansion]

My Lord.

What should we

do next?

Are you going to nail Lady Lan's lie directly

or

wait for her to take action?

Every lie

will be nailed eventually.

Those seemingly magical tricks couldn't be played

by her alone.

So Lady Lan

must have other accomplices.

We must catch them all.

You're so smart.

You just said

you didn't want me to marry anyone else.

Why would you say that?

I...

I...

I don't want you to marry anyone else

because...

Well...

Because?

Because...

Because

you are the Moon God.

If you do that,

you will break the heavenly rules.

I don't need you to tell me this.

I...I'm just giving you a small warning.

You...

My Lord.

There's something

on the beam.

[To Wanwan]

[The other day, I went to Shengjing, where the night market there was so bustling.]

These are the letters and paintings

Wanwan and Jing Yao exchanged with each other.

They decided to marry each other back then.

If Jing’s Mansion hadn’t been confiscated,

they

would be

a happy couple.

Unfortunately,

they aren't meant to be.

You want me

to give these to your grandmother

to prove

that you and he really loved each other?

My Lord.

Can we go out now?

These things

are enough to prove how deep their love is.

Wait.

It's the auspicious time. Miss Jia, please come.

Wanwan.

My dear granddaughter is back.

Come and see me.

Old Madam.

The ceremony has begun.

You and Miss Wanwan can only look at each other.

You can't touch each other.

Let Xie Guichen, Miss Wanwan's soulmate,

come out.

Has it started?

Stay here. Don't go anywhere else.

Old Madam! Old Madam!

Old Madam!

Where is Wanwan? Where is she?

Kick him out.

The ceremony can't be interrupted.

Wanwan?

Are you really Wanwan?

I'm Jing Yao. I'm back.

When I was on the border,

I always wanted to come back to see you.

But I was unable to do that.

It was all my fault.

And you suffered a lot.

Wanwan.

No matter where I am,

my love for you will never change.

My love for you

is as deep as ten years ago.

And it'll be the same in the future.

Wanwan, look at me.

Wanwan.

Lady Lan.

The ceremony has been interrupted by him.

What should we do now?

Old Madam.

Imperial Censor?

Old Madam, you ignored the dissuasion.

So I have to come here in person.

My Lord.

Why did you have to ruin the ceremony?

As long as the ceremony is held successfully,

Wanwan will be carefree.

Why can't you let me

fulfill this wish?

Right now,

why are you still so stubborn?

Old Madam.

You misunderstood His Lordship.

He didn't mean to destroy the ceremony.

This ceremony

is just a scam.

Miss Yun.

What do you mean?

This is the incense I found

in Miss Wanwan's courtyard.

The witch from Western Region used the incense and the bell

to create illusions

so that

you can't know what has really happened.

And she

is not Miss Wanwan.

Nonsense!

This is my Wanwan.

You're an accomplice of the witch from Western Region, right?

You...

You're not Wanwan.

Old Madam!

Miss.

How did you know

Wanwan

used to hold my hand like this?

Old Madam, did Wanwan say

she would be your crutch?

Did she also say

the person who would spend the rest of her life with her

would definitely be someone you and she both like?

Grandmother, my future husband

must be a guy I truly love.

You little girl.

You should feel ashamed of what you just said.

How can an unmarried lady

find her the husband by herself?

Grandmother, you're wrong.

My husband is going to spend the rest of my life with me.

How can I accept an arranged marriage?

If my future husband is someone I don't like,

we'll be a fake and unhappy couple.

Then that's no different from a life

in which I'll be lonely forever and die.

But I believe you'll like the man

I'll be in love with.

The man you'll be in love with

must be a very talented man.

I'll definitely like him.

It's Wanwan.

It's my granddaughter.

Miss Yun, can you see her?

Where is she? How is she?

I want to talk to her.

Please tell me what I should do

to fulfill Wanwan's wish?

She...

Princess, Imperial Censor ordered me

to investigate

whether Lady Lan has accomplices.

If her accomplices and I start to fight,

you may get hurt.

You should go back first.

We are allies now.

Of course we should take action together.

By the way,

though I promised

to keep your secret,

you have to promise me

that you will never do anything

that will harm Qingzhou City

or hurt the people of Qingzhou City.

Otherwise,

I won’t let you off.

Princess, you can rest assured

that I

will never hurt anyone.

But you broke my heart.

If you feel sorry,

you can quit your job in Imperial Censor's Mansion

and come to Governor's Mansion.

Ren Shique always assigns tricky tasks to you

and make you patrol the whole city and take business trips.

If you come to Governor's Mansion,

you'll have much more free time.

His Lordship

always assigns tasks to us fairly.

I

don't think my tasks are tricky.

You really don't know Ren Shique well.

He sends you to patrol here and there every day

to separate you from Yun Zhaoyan.

Ren Shique

is extremely narrow-minded.

If you really want to get close to Yun Zhaoyan,

I'm afraid you'll have to make extra efforts.

I know that.

I

have never had the thought of hurting Yun Zhaoyan.

Judging from what you said,

do you really have feelings

for Yun Zhaoyan?

You were really telling her

your true feelings for her last time?

Why don't you answer? So you really like her?

Is your hatred for Zhaoyan

true?

Some things

are hard to tell.

So?

Do you really like her or not?

Old Madam.

Wanwan

has something to tell you.

Those are her happiest memories.

Wanwan.

The painting shows the most beautiful scenery in Qingzhou City.

Everything I could see was painted on it.

These are the views of Qingzhou City outside my house?

When you recover,

I'll take you out for a tour.

We can go wherever we want to go.

Not just Qingzhou City.

We can go to Shengjing and the border area.

I'll take you to see all the beautiful scenery.

My illness

is an inborn disease. I've had it since I was a fetus.

It can’t be cured.

So my grandmother has never allowed me to leave home

and I could only stay in this courtyard

in case any accident happens to me.

Without you,

my life will probably be more boring.

Since you can't go out,

I'll travel around for you.

I'll bring you what you like

and what you want to eat.

Keep your promise.

By the order of His Majesty,

from now on,

all adult men in Jing’s Mansion

will be exiled to the border.

You shouldn't have anything to do with me,

son of an official who committed a crime.

Jing Yao.

Stay safe.

I'll wait for you to come back.

I'll keep waiting until you come back and marry me.

I swear to the Moon Goddess

that when my sentence of ten years ends,

I'll marry Wanwan.

I also swear to the Moon Goddess

that I will keep waiting for Jing Yao.

I'll only marry Jing Yao.

My dear Wanwan.

Old Madam, don't be too sad.

Wanwan asked me to tell you this

because she hopes

that you won't ignore

Jing Yao's true love for her.

[The other day, I went to Shengjing, where the night market there is so bustling.

Wanwan

has been missing Jing Yao.

The Jia family

is a prestigious family.

When Master was alive,

he wanted to find Wanwan

a husband who's also from a prestigious family.

The Jing family committed a serious crime.

Anyway, Jing Yao is not the right person for Wanwan.

Old Madam.

True love may transcend the differences brought by family backgrounds.

Maybe.

Back then,

Jing Yao might only love Wanwan.

But so many years have passed.

Everyone knows the border is a dangerous place where life is hard.

How can I be sure

that

Jing's love for Wanwan has never changed?

Mr. Jing.

Do you still have the jade pendant

that Wanwan let you keep?

Yes.

Old Madam.

You just said

the border was dangerous.

If Mr. Jing

were a greedy and cunning man,

he would have sold

this valuable jade pendant.

He kept the jade pendant

at the most difficult time.

Doesn't this show

his true love for Wanwan?

Wanwan once said

she wanted me to bring her this jade pendant and propose to her.

It was a pity that

I didn't get to marry Wanwan.

Old Madam, please

let me see her one last time.

I want to tell her that I'm back

and that I didn't break the promise I made ten year ago.

Old Madam.

They were so deeply in love.

Why can't you stop splitting them up?

It's understandable

that you've been missing your granddaughter.

Wanwan

has also been missing you and Jing Yao.

Life is full of changes.

You cannot force others to be happy or sad.

Why can't you

just let them be together?

Even though Mr. Jing

is not the perfect man for Wanwan in your eyes,

and even though

he's a man of humble origins

and his family is a poor one,

in Wanwan's eyes,

he's her Mr. Right.

True love is hard to find.

You can't let a couple

who truly love each other

be separated

because of some ridiculous restrictions.

Am I right?

I shouldn't have forced you to break up.

I shouldn't have trusted the bad person.

I almost failed to

fulfill Wanwan's last wish.

Jing Yao.

Old Madam.

Would you

like to call me Grandmother?

Mr. Jing.

Old Madam agreed.

Thank you, Old...

Thank you, Grandmother.

I'm not asleep.

Go.

I just wanted to earn some money

from Old Madam Jia.

You two really need to catch me in person?

You used dirty tricks

to fool the people in Qingzhou.

This alone is a serious offence.

You can't get away with it today.

I didn't fool you and family, Princess.

By the way.

If you let me go today,

I'll tell you about your previous life and what this life of yours will be like.

And I'll tell you how you can find your true love.

Who kind of person do you think I am?

I'll win the love

of my Mr. Right myself.

I don't need the help of your tricks.

Think about how you'll going to explain everything

when you are sent to prison.

Princess!

Princess!

Princess!

This is a common trick in the Western Region.

Focus and then you won't be affected by it.

You go back first. I'll go after them.

You're injured.

All right.

Don't worry.

Xie Guichen.

[Hall Dedicated to Wanwan]

Wanwan.

I can feel

you're by my side.

I couldn't come back earlier.

You must have blamed me for that.

Life at the border was hard.

But every time I thought of you,

I got the courage to continue to live.

There is so beautiful scenery on the border.

There are vast deserts,

wild lands,

and the clear sky.

I painted all of them.

I planned to show you all of them.

Trust me.

I will always take with me the jade you gave me

and travel around the world.

When I look at the jade, it's like looking at you.

You and I

will never be apart.

I'll spend my life

helping you realizing your dream.

Jing Yao.

Thank you for keeping the promise you made ten years ago

and fulfilling my lifelong wish.

I'm so lucky

to have met you.

After we part today,

I don't know when we'll meet again.

Please take care.

Mortals and immortals take different paths.

Wanwan left eventually.

God Taiyin.

Return to your position.

[Full Moon]

The branches are tied together and are like twin twigs.

We love each other with all of our heart and soul.

In the dim light, I'm writing a letter.

Hope you'll get a taste of my passionate love.

Who knows the love is sweet or sour?

The taste of love is unique in the world.

♫The unfinished part has been finished♫

♫Because of you, I have lost all my regrets♫

My Lord.

♫I'm willing to become a breeze in the world♫

Wanwan.

♫I'll be with you in a dream♫

You once said

if I have fallen in love with someone,

when I see him,

♫Maybe in this life I came to meet you♫

time will run very slowly

and my heart will beat loud.

♫So we should sing for the world♫

Right now, I'm looking at you.

And I'm experiencing all of those.

[Hall Dedicated to Wanwan]

He can definitely feel your feelings.

But you cannot

expect anything else.

By the way, My Lord.

Do you still have the red threads?

Wanwan.

Are you here?

I can't see you.

But I can feel you're here.

I swear to Moon Goddess

that when my ten years of sentence ends,

I'll marry Wanwan.
