So, I need to clear for surgery.

And we're gonna-- She's gonna remove the ovaries.

My surgery's a week away.

Dr. Boris is over to give me my pre-op,

which is an exam that you have to have before you have surgery.

I made peace with the fact that this is happening,

but I'm still a little nervous.

That's the only thing in my whole body that they brought up.

They go, "You look great, except for this,

and it's growing, so let's just get rid of it."

-Okay, um, so, let's-- -[Kris] I was thinking,

"What could I-- what else could I do at the same time

Right? I like to multitask at all times.

Anything I can do while I'm asleep, I'm gonna do it, but--

Okay. And generally feeling well?

on an exercise program against my will.

would be something that I would have to do.

I've never, obviously, done this before,

but I always consider myself prepared for just about anything.

But that doesn't mean that I don't get a little emotional about it as well.

When did you start?

I think I started in 2008.

And, um, we were pregnant at the same time

when I was pregnant with Rocky.

Are you working out already?

Do you have, like, mom guilt from, like, leaving your baby?

I'm with him, um, all the time.

Even now when we book Pilates,

like, Travis, he'll do half and then I'll do half.

the 40 days at home where you, like, stay home,

and I pretty much did that with Penelope too.

I do.

Yeah. Mason broke his arm o-- right when it turned 40 days.

Where it felt like God was like, "Your 40 days are up.

Get your ass outta the house."

Like, I literally-- Mason called me and was like,

"Mom, I'm on the side of the road. I broke my arm."

I have kids all different age ranges:

preteen, teenage, adults, an infant.

So, I really do try to set aside one-on-one time with each of my kids.

I don't wanna miss anything.

It's, like, a feeling of, you know, being pulled in different directions,

like, wanting to be everything to everyone.

I rushed over to the hospital

and I was, like, sending milk back from Children's Hospital...

...'cause I didn't even have any saved milk 'cause I don't leave him.

But now, I'm also, like, feeling the guilt of all the kids.

Yeah. Four, plus three bonus.

Yesterday, the guilt really hit where I was like,

"Okay, I have to do more with the other kids."

So, I don't know how I'm balancing it yet. [chuckles]

-I feel like Australia will be good. -[Kourtney] Yeah.

I was thinking like, "I have to fly to Australia

"to be in a house with all my kids

-and no distractions." -No distractions.

It feels like a rare time when you have an infant

and I just love this time at home.

And when Travis committed to this tour,

I wasn't pregnant yet.

I think the reason for going would be to keep our family together.

Just feels like, "Am I ready?"

-We leave next weekend for Australia... -[Simon] Okay.

...and they hack up my house while I'm gone.

So, I always see, like, the, the dream life on Instagram,

where it's, like, a little cottage that's, like, really cute

and then I'm like, "Ah, what a life!"

But then I'm like, "Okay, but you have seven kids,

six dogs, two bunnies."

Is there still a lizard?

It would be so nice to be, like, in a cottage in the woods.

But do you think after three days--

Well, I think I started to see a therapist...

...and I just saw her once, but she was like, um,

the simplest thing that she told me...

was to take down screen time.

But having strict rules on, like, there can be no phones during meals.

They're gonna fight and, and kick and scream...

get through it, and I never wanted to deal for that week.

[Khloé] I am super proud of Kimberly

for wanting to take a stricter approach to her kids

and, sometimes, it takes just a third party

or a different voice for you to register something.

Why can I run these, like, businesses and be really firm

and I just, like, turn into a big pussy when I'm at home?

I can't do that. Like, this is my most important job.

-Yeah. -[Kim] I can't have anyone run over me.

Well, it's better to nip it now before they're older

and then it's, like... mutiny.

Sometimes, it's just easier. Like, "Oh, here's your phone."

My kids don't sit on their devices all day.

Kids are very smart,

"And then when I'm [bleep] with her,

you go and ask for this 'cause she's just gonna say, 'Yeah.'"

Like, trust me, I have a militant household.

It's a sweet, love, happy household, but there's routine.

I mean, I just started implementing stricter scheduling.

I know I made fun of Khloé for that and she's still too militant.

Strict does not mean, like, you have to be this crazy monster.

It just means implementing rules and being consistent with your rules.

So, just "no means no" and no bribery, no th-- like those types of things.

Structure, discipline, rules.

Discipline is love.

Like, having bedtimes, rule--

-whatever your thing is. -I mean, I obviously had rules.

You know what I mean?

[Khloé] Okay. No, no, no. I'm not saying--

Whatever. I'm just saying not exactly that, but--

[Khloé] As long as you actually follow through...

"I've had it. I don't care."

And I'm just like, "Oh, no. I'm not dealing with this.

"Okay, fine. You wanna be on your phone for 10 more minutes? Okay.

Like, "Just stop begging."

And now I'm just like,

And just know, the minute you break, they are predators.

I was just being really lenient 'cause it was easier for me

and I was like, "I can't. I put my all into, like, everything else.

"This has to be my all times a million

"and I'm gonna have to go through the hard times

of, like, whining and crying."

Like, "No. You're-- Why are you changing the rules?

I used to have my device all the time."

And I'm like, "No. It's gonna be this way."

So, I've just changed a lot of little things around my house.

I'm basically turning into Kourtney and Khloé.

I'm, like, shocked that I live in peace.

So, maybe Khloé was a little right.

I'm happy for you.

I loved being pregnant.

It was just this delicious time in my life

where I felt like everything came to a halt.

Life was beautiful.

It was the best time of my life, the best years.

I'm starting to get a bit of anxiety about going to Australia.

Rocky hasn't been seen and in California, there's a law

that if I don't show the baby's face, that the paparazzi have to blur his image.

But in Australia, supposedly, there are no paparazzi laws.

So, they can take a photo and, ya know, sell their image.

So, I think even knowing that we're going on a plane with a lot of people,

I'm just feeling really protective.

Just a lot to think about.

I think it's good for them to travel the world.

Mason's coming over for dinner tonight.

Mason, like, isn't wanting to come

because he's a teenager and wants to be with his friends

and with his dad and I don't wanna not see him.

What if I just say, "It's too bad you're not going

The good thing about having sisters that really are close with our kids

and loves our kids like our own is, like,

when I'm having a hard time with North,

she'll go over to Kourtney's and she'll help me out.

And then when she's having a hard time with Mason,

he'll come over to my house and I'll help her out and talk to him.

So, we really, like, tap each other out.

How they always say with parenting, like, it takes a village.

I think with Kim and I, specifically,

because our older kids are close in ages,

I think we're always just trying to help each other when we can.

I don't feel, like, ready to go out of my blissful baby bubble

and back into the world.

So, like, I wanna go, you know, have an adventure with the kids

and with our family and... be there to support my husband,

so that he's not all alone on tour.

I think I'm-I'm torn.

Okay, so, before we go to dinner, I just wanna tell you guys that I'm...

-[Kathy] This makes me nervous. -[stammers] I can't take this. [chuckles]

-I can't take this. -You're preg-- Wait, you're pregnant?

-[Faye gasps] -No. The exact opposite.

I'm glad you brought that up because tomorrow morning

at six o'clock in the morning I'm gonna have a hysterectomy.

-[gasps] That's fine. -Okay.

-And that's okay, right? -[Faye] It goes easy.

Honey, don't be worried about that.

It started out as, like, just getting some ovaries removed

-and then today I got a phone call. -[Kathy] Okay.

[Kris] Dr. A., she goes, "Listen,

"I really think the best thing for you

"is to remove the, the whole thing, do the complete hysterectomy,

"and not give anything

-a chance to grow anywhere." -Right, and then you're gonna feel free.

-So no ovarian cancer, no-- -And, by the way, going forward,

and that's the benefit to having a hysterectomy.

You don't have to worry about that

-going forward. -That's right.

[Faye] 'Cause we have to worry

-about so many things. -[Kathy] So many people I know have.

-[Faye] Yeah. -Really?

-Yes. -Yeah. I mean, it really is.

-Like, they're fine? -They're fine.

You know what no one talks about?

-No one talks about getting older. -[Kathy] Nope.

No one talks about menopause.

-No one told me about menopause. -It's, like, unspoken.

It's interesting that in today's day and age,

this generation thinks that you guys are gonna live forever and you're not.

Well, here's the thing, I did it. They found something.

We're here to fix it and I'm gonna do something

and remove something that gave me six of the best...

-[Kathy] Yes. -...parts of my whole life.

-Yes. -I know.

And...

-it's, like, the craziest-- -Are you gonna start crying?

-No. I don't know why. -Yes, she is. Yes, she is.

I have no idea why. I just get emotional. I'm fine.

But, um, you start thinking about what this--

-[Faye] Means? -Yeah.

I think I'm very emotional about it

because when you're young, you start talking about wanting a family.

Your friends are having babies or not having babies.

And it was all we talked about, literally, for 40, 50 years.

So, here we are now talking about it again

and it's the other side of the process

and it makes me very sad.

I just wanted you guys to know 'cause you're my besties

and I didn't wanna wake up tomorrow and go,

-"I never told the girls and--" -[Kathy] No, I'm glad.

I thought you were gonna tell me you're getting married.

[laughs] I mean, not right this very second.

I thought you were gonna say, "At six in the morning."

I'm like, "That's a little early for me to be--"

-What are we wearing? -Dressed and ready to go as a bridesmaid.

-As a bridesmaid, for sure. -I mean, you guys could totally be

bridesmaids when I get married.

Okay, so maybe when I'm 70.

Tony, Tony, what are we wearing?

We need bridesmaid dresses.

My family means everything to me, but so do my girlfriends,

and I think because we've been friends for so long

and we're all about the same age,

it just means a lot to sit and have their emotional support.

[Kathy] I've had operations for that.

And then, also, you're not gonna believe what they found.

Swear to God. Guess what they found?

-A wallet? -[laughs] Right?

-I don't know. -A ball of hair.

-Shut up. You're like a cat. -[Faye] Kitty cat. A little kitty cat

-[laughter] -[Kris] Yeah.

Just terrified for a whole new reason, Kathy. Thanks.

I just wanted you guys to know. I'm a little scared.

I post my workouts a lot.

And Fabletics noticed that I was wearing their clothing

and working out in it.

They reached out to my mom

and said they would love to do a collab with me.

Working out is something that makes me happy

and to do something that is this authentic to me

and something that I genuinely love, makes my heart so happy.

How are you?

[interviewer] So, kicking off... what has it been like

partnering with Fabletics?

[Khloé] Well, it's honestly been amazing.

I just love what the values are of Fabletics

and then just how included I was in the whole design process

'cause I am really bossy and I am really opinionated

and I know what I like

and I don't ever just wanna put my name on anything.

I wanna make sure it's actually something that I want to wear, that I feel good in,

and something that I feel comfortable having people buy.

Trust me, when people dangle a nice check in front of your face

and you're, like, supposed to do a post for something?

Yes, that's so enticing, I get it.

When we first started this show,

I was so excited anyone wanted me for anything.

I definitely took the money and ran, you know, back in the early 2000s.

But you learn your lessons.

You also learn the value of your platform, like, how powerful your voice is.

And I just don't wanna throw away people's money.

One comment that we heard repetitively

is everyone wanted to know your workout regimen.

I do circuit training with cardio intervals,

so I'm always spiking my heart rate up and down.

For a shoot like that where I know I'm gonna be showing a lotta skin,

I definitely work out much harder.

And then I always celebrate with full, large pizza

-'cause that's just the way it goes, um-- -[interviewer] Wait, what flavor?

-Just cheese. I'm like-- -[interviewer] Just cheese.

I'm a kid's menu type of girl, just cheese.

But life's about balance, so, like, there ya go.

When I was bigger, if they had Ozempic,

I probably would've tried it 'cause I tried any other thing.

I tried any fad weight loss trend except for the real thing

that actually works and that's a lifestyle change.

So, I really wanna encourage healthiness

and not about the number on a scale.

I just think people should be active.

It do-- I don't really care what your size is,

and you should just be healthy and stronger for yourself.

My family is like, "Oh, you never leave the house."

I love that they want me to.

But they act like I'm miserable.

I haven't been on my knees in a long time.

Or like, "Oh, she's locked up in that tower."

It's like, "I'm perfectly happy." Like, "I'm good."

[Kim] So, I just landed in Louisiana.

[Michael Rubin] [over phone] Yeah?

I'm meeting with Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

-You-- -[Michael] Okay, now I'm more interested.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard was just released from prison

for being involved in the murder of her mother.

Her story gained national attention after being sentenced to 10 years

for aiding in the murder of her abusive mother.

[Kim] I'm gonna send you a link.

She's the most well-known person that's just gotten outta prison.

Her mother had Munchausen by proxy,

who would shave her head and act like she had cancer her whole life.

[interviewer] What illnesses did your mom say that you had?

Um, asthma, epilepsy,

um, hearing impaired, vision impaired,

um, fed with a feeding tube, paralyzed from the waist down.

How sick must you be as a mother

that you would let your child have surgery for your own gain?

I-I think she-she really wants to get involved.

She could be really impactful with the-- with, like, youth and abuse.

[Michael] How long's she been out for?

Three weeks. It's, like, a fascinating case.

[anchor] Gypsy told Nicholas Godejohn about the lifetime of abuse she endured.

They came up with a plan to kill her mother

and Godejohn was accused of stabbing her to death in their Missouri home.

[Kim] She tweeted me and here I am.

So, I was like, "I really-- I'm-I'm super interested.

I think she can help, but I'm fascinated."

-And I'll tell you how it goes after. -[Michael] I-I love that.

[Kim] I wanna see what she wants to do in prison reform.

I heard she wants to get in it and I can guide her of,

you know, exactly where to go and how she can help.

-[Kim] Hi, Gypsy. -Hi!

-It's so nice to meet you. -How are you?

-[Kim] I'm so excited that you... -[Gypsy Rose Blanchard] I love your coat.

-That is so beautiful. -[Kim] Thank you.

...that you live in New Orleans.

It's one of my favorite places ever.

-[Gypsy] Oh, I'm happy that you came. -[Kim] The food.

Yeah, the food is amazing.

What was the first meal you had

-when you got out? -Um, when I got out,

I got to try steak for the first time.

-Oh, wow. -I've never had steak before.

So, yeah, it was actually pretty good.

Oh, my gosh. Well, honestly, I've been following your case

-for a really long time. -Really?

So, like, I wouldn't want to come and, you know,

really meet with someone that I feel like can make an impact just for, like,

-the sensation of the case. -Right.

I recognize that, like, you can make a big difference

'cause you can really articulate what you went through.

-Right. -And how you can get through it,

-you know? -And I give you massive kudos right now

because I think a lotta people are afraid of touching me

-as a topic. -Really?

Uh, because I'm too "controversial".

-Mm, girl. -So, I give you, like, massive props

for being like, "Okay, I'm gonna come do this right now.

Like, this is gonna happen."

When Gypsy posted that she wanted to get into reform work

and wanted to connect,

I really wanted to guide her to use her platform to really help people.

This has been a rollercoaster ride.

Um, I'm blessed to be given a second chance

because when I was going through what I was going through,

nobody ever talked about Munchausen by proxy.

No one was ever a guiding light for me.

You know, I look back on-on things that I could've done differently

and, like, the one thing that people always ask me is,

"Why didn't you just stand up?"

-"Why didn't you just--" -Call the police or--

[Gypsy] "Call the police and this, that, and the other?"

And did you tell your dad?

I didn't because I didn't even know his phone number.

-Yeah. -My mom literally had put a block

on our relationship from him and I

and she created a fake Facebook account, as me, talking to him.

Now, looking back on it, I'm like,

"I could've done things a lot differently

and it would've ended with my mother being in prison."

-Mm-hmm. -Did she deserve prison? Yes.

So, I can imagine that you still really miss your mom.

-Right. It's so complicated, like-- -It's so complicated.

It-It really is. There were times in prison

that I would just sit on the bed.

I'd play one of her favorite songs on my tablet

-and I would just cry. -What was one of her favorite songs?

It was My, My, My by Rob Thomas.

My mom was a huge Matchbox Twenty fan.

I would play some of their songs and I'd just allow myself

that time to cry and grieve

and, sometimes, then I'd have to do it in the shower too

-because, crying in prison... -Yeah.

...you're so vulnerable, especially women...

-Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. -...they can be so catty.

Their first go-to is, "Well, you killed her,

so why are you crying about it?"

-It's hard. You know, coming from a-- -It's so hard.

that was a child in that situation, it is hard.

I can't even begin to even act like I understand what you've been through.

-Mm-hmm. -I really have no idea, you know?

-It's a long road, but you're here. -Yeah.

[Kim] I know it's, like, a controversial subject,

I think, when people want

to help people that were involved in something so violent.

But I do believe people should have second chances in life

and I take her entire background into consideration.

It's really crazy not to.

I think you can really make such an impact on young people

-that might not know how to get out. -Mm-hmm.

I've seen people,

not as horrific as situations that you've been in...

-Mm-hmm. -...but I've heard amazing,

triumphant stories of people that have, like,

lived such an amazing life...

-Mm-hmm. -...once they got outta their situation.

Right.

What I am left with now is,

you know, I did my eight and a half years in prison,

um, so I paid my dues to the state.

Now let's see what I can do with my new life

and my second chance.

Can I at least get that?

And you are so strong.

-Thank you. I appreciate that. -You know? And I recognize that

-and a lotta people do. -Thank you.

I'm doing my best to try to make my family proud.

You know, there's, like, an internal battle going on inside

because it's, like, I know that I did something wrong,

I paid my consequences,

but I feel like half of everybody still wants to condemn me...

-Mm-hmm. -...and the other half is rooting for me.

-Mm-hmm. -Because I post a selfie

and then I'm expected to have this, like, greater message behind it and I'm like,

-"I'm just having fun." -Mm-hmm.

Yeah. Sometimes you just have to, like...

post and I say, "And then ghost."

-And then, like, not-- -Post and ghost, I like that.

Post and ghost and not, like, pay attention...

-Okay. -...to all the comments

and what's being said because not everything

has to be such a deep message.

-I think the way you live your life... -Exactly.

...is-- moving forward, is the deep message.

-Okay. -And that's what I was, like,

so excited to talk to you about

because you've been through hell and back.

[♪ solemn music playing]

[clears throat] This is what upsets me so much is

you know everything that I have been through, okay?

When I got to prison, I asked them if I could get therapy

and really deal with the trauma that I went through.

I received a notice that I didn't qualify for one-on-one therapy.

-Wow. -Mm-hmm.

You would think that they would wanna set you up

and give you all of the tools that you would need

to be as mentally stable...

-Right. -...and to be as healed as possible

to come home into society.

Why wouldn't they set up all of these programs?

It always blows my mind.

Just the simple fact that she couldn't get therapy

while she was in prison is a problem, you know?

And I think that, ultimately, we wanna bring people home

that are rehabilitated

and how can we do that if it doesn't start with giving them the tools

and having them go through therapy before they get home?

How has re-entry been?

Re-entry's been a whirlwind for me.

-Yeah. -Unfortunately, we are

living at a residence and they're pressuring us

to put me on the lease and I won't pass a background check.

-Mm. -I think it's, like, the system is just--

-It's built to fail. -It really is.

I wanna bring awareness.

I wanna be the person that I wish I had to guide me,

but I feel very new at it...

-Mm-hmm. -...so I kinda feel like,

-"What are my resources?" -Like, where do you go and how do you--

-Yes, like, how-- -Where-- Totally.

Where do you begin?

I can totally help you with that 'cause I had no clue.

-Okay. -And I think I figured out

the best team that can possibly help people

and-and I'm happy to introduce you to all of them...

-Yeah, I would appreciate that. -...who will guide you

in the right direction and what to do to help.

Okay.

I think she's, like, a perfect person to talk to, like, a younger generation.

So, hopefully, with her help,

we can try to bring therapy into more prisons

and try to change the way that the system operates.

I think that you have such an important future

-to help so many people. -I hope that I do.

I hope that Gypsy just follows her heart.

I hope she heals, first and foremost,

and I hope that she just follows her path of wanting to help other people.
