EPISODE 12

Captain Mu.

Why were you gone for so long?

I encountered people from the Wenxiang Sect,

so it took some time to deal with them.

They've already chased us here?

That's why we need to leave immediately.

You saved someone until the end,

so what's the point of leaving them in this wilderness?

He's such an annoying guy.

Useless!

So many days have passed,

yet there's not a trace of news.

What's the point of keeping you all?

Inform the Prefect of Qinan that

if he doesn't want his information leaked,

he must find her within two days at any cost,

or I'll make him suffer.

Yes, sir!

Wenxiang Sect!

I’ll make you all pay for this.

Shiqing,

you have to stay safe.

Report!

We received a message from Captain Mu's pigeon.

Give it to me!

Lishan Mountain?

Take people there immediately for support.

Yes, sir!

Agu,

why are you back?

Is Ah-Wen back too?

Shen Wen, that kid,

left for the capital without saying anything.

I wonder how he's doing now.

He hasn't even written a letter for so long.

Brother Wen has only been gone for a few days.

Owl,

you act as if you already belong here.

Other than what Shen Wen left behind,

there's nothing to eat.

Xiao Tao,

feed some beef jerky to it.

Yes, Miss.

My second uncle should return in a few days,

so I'll follow him back to the capital to look around.

By now, they should have received Agu's letter.

This owl is quite smart.

I've taken care of it for many years.

Its claw was made by you?

Back then, when I found it, it was almost dying with a broken leg,

so I saved it.

I can't believe you're such a caring person.

After we get over this mountain,

we should reach Licheng in less than half a day.

We need to hurry.

Neither of you will make it past this mountain.

I already guessed you would come in this direction.

Run!

I set the trap earlier.

Let's see where you can escape.

Chase after them!

Don't be afraid,

the Wusheng Mother will protect us.

Kill them!

Hey, Rang Yanzhong!

If your people beat us into the abyss,

you risk losing the Beast Talisman forever.

Don't be fooled by him.

Just kill them!

We'll send more people to search for it if needed.

Yes, sir!

Let's go.

It's done.

Chase them!

Don't let them escape.

They anticipated our passage through the mountains,

so they prepared in advance.

Ran Yanzhong is

a Houtian martial artist.

He has refined his Qi to harden his body.

We can't fight him head-on.

Let's use the cave terrain for defense.

Sure!

Agu left long ago.

In less than four hours,

reinforcements should arrive to assist us.

Wait!

I think we've been here before.

Yes, it does look familiar.

It seems we may have taken the wrong path at the fork.

Let's try the other path this time.

No need to go anywhere.

There's no way out for either of you.

Hand over the Beast Talisman

and surrender.

I'll make it easy for you.

Captain Mu,

you go ahead first.

What?

You're about to die, yet both of you are emotionally attached to each other.

I'll give you the Beast Talisman,

but you must let her leave.

Sure, hand it over.

Then get ready to catch it.

Go!

Shen Wen!

Stop talking nonsense and go quickly!

You are kind and righteous.

The descendant of Jian Wenjun

wants to borrow the Beast Talisman to make a comeback.

It seems you know too much.

The Suanni Beast Talisman?

I'd like to use this

in exchange for a piece of information.

What qualifications do you have to negotiate with me?

Can we talk now?

You're just a first-rate martial artist.

I never denied

I wasn't a first-rate martial artist.

So what if you're a first-class martial artist?

I'm a Houtian-rank martial artist.

Why should I fear you?

Then come and try,

old man.

Though he's only first-class martial artist,

with his strange mechanical toolbox, he's no weaker than a Houtian.

There's no point in fighting him.

Why not delay him

while waiting for backup?

What do you want to ask?

Shen Hui.

It seems you don't know him,

so I can't give you the item.

Wait!

I can help you find him.

When I become the emperor,

finding someone won't be difficult.

You should willingly hand that over to me

and become my loyal subject moving forward.

This Beast Talisman has no use to you at all.

Giving it to me can only maximize its value.

You've committed all sorts of wrongdoing,

resorting to rebellion at any cost.

Then, you'd better stay here.

You!

How did you penetrated my hardened Qi body?

This black stone needle is crafted specifically to disrupt Qi energy.

Underhanded tricks!

I will definitely kill you.

Now, die!

Who are you,

really?

Captain Mu.

You go on ahead.

What?

Shen Wen,

you have to survive.

As expected,

she came here.

Don’t block my way.

She’s too skillful

to confront directly.

Go get extra help.

My old injury

hasn't fully healed.

I can't fall here.

I can't let Shen Wen's sacrifice be in vain.

You little bitch!

You’ve killed many of our brothers.

Don’t expect an easy death.

Who are you?

Captain Mu.

Is that Shen Wen?

You're okay.

That's really great.

She seems a bit disoriented.

I should heal her wounds quickly.

I don’t think I can make it.

You should leave with the Bull Beast Talisman.

Don't say anything now.

We'll go together.

Luckily, she only fainted from exhaustion

and has minor wounds.

It seems the Wenxiang Sect has sent many people after us.

We should leave immediately.

I can't believe they cut and destroyed the bridge.

My mechanical toolbox is badly damaged,

so we can't cross using hooks.

We'll have to find alternate routes.

Captain Mu.

She seems better now than a moment ago.

Speak!

Where is she?

Who is she?

If you don't tell me,

you die.

Commander Mu!

It's you.

Where is Shiqing?

She's over there.

Shiqing...

are you okay, Shiqing?

Be quiet, Shen Wen.

Shen Wen?

She's fine.

We've been running for days

and she collapsed from exhaustion.

Let her rest for a while.

Why is she with you?

It's a long story.

It's by chance I see Captain Mu captured by the Wenxiang Sect

and later we recovered this Bull Beast Talisman from them.

The Bull Beast Talisman?

Thank you for your hard work!
