EPISODE 04

This is...

the Six Flower Formation.

Are you familiar with it?

It originates from the Eight Formations of the Feng Hou.

The key to victory lies with the General,

who is positioned at the center.

Normally, the central army is divided into nine troops,

but General Tang Lijing, with a smaller force, couldn't maintain that structure.

Instead, he restructured and created the Six Flower Formation,

merging the central army into seven troops.

This seven-troop arrangement follows a circular formation.

Very good,

you're knowledgeable.

Shen Wen,

we're both craftsmen.

Do you dare enter the formation to give it a try?

Although the formation is well-designed,

it relies on puppets,

which makes it less flexible.

As long as I don't enter the formation,

it seems it couldn't harm me.

So, I'll just cheer from the sidelines!

You...

Where's your honor as a craftsman?

My life is more important.

Let me deal with this Jinyiwei first,

then I'll come back for you later.

The lumbering wooden oxen are effective for long-distance attacks,

while the agile horses excel in close-range combat.

Using the fire beast as a shield...

Don't stand around talking,

it's so irritating.

Don't worry, stay calm!

I'll help you.

He's quite skillful.

Captain Mu,

this formation

can be broken by defeating the leader at the center.

Nonsense!

Captain Mu, please hang on a little longer.

I'm going after that evil lady.

You...

Damn that guy!

You're so annoying, Shen Zhizhi.

Don't you know that

men who get entangled in everything are the most annoying?

I don't want to get involved,

but there's a matter I need Miss Luo's cooperation for.

I need her to come back with me.

My innocence is in your hands.

What innocence do you have?

Didn't you take the Suanni Beast Talisman?

I don't know what Miss Luo is talking about.

There are only the two of us here.

Mr. Shen doesn't need to play dumb.

How about this.

You give me the Beast Talisman,

and I guarantee your safety.

Can you still protect someone in Jinyiwei's custody?

Jiangnan is a prosperous land,

far from the emperor's reach.

If you keep a low profile and stay anonymous,

guaranteeing a lifetime of glory and wealth

is not difficult.

Lay low and stay anonymous?

But I want to be a trader without changing my name.

A civilian who keeps his family name.

Don't be so shameless.

The Jinyiwei searching for the Six Harmony Beast Talisman

indicates it's something the imperial court wants.

What's your point?

Let me think about it.

Who dares to go against the imperial court?

Yesterday, your tea

was laced with Hua Gong Powder,

a secret medicine unique to the Shuchuan Tang Sect.

Zhuge Jing

is a descendant of Zhuge Wuhou from Shuchuan Province,

which reminds me of a Shuchuan Tusi who rebelled last year.

But you seemed to have plans for me to go to Jiangnan,

to Yingtian Prefecture. {Nanking}

I don't know which side Miss Luo is from.

Is Mr. Shen curious about my identity?

A little bit.

If Mr. Shen hands over the Six Harmony Beast Talisman,

whatever information you seek,

I'll be glad to provide them.

Very well.

Suanni Beast Talisman.

I didn't expect you're carrying with you.

Miss Luo searching for this Beast Talisman,

not because she wanted to do something

like becoming the best craftsman?

Perhaps you can enlighten me?

Miss Luo seeks this for whom?

It's someone you shouldn't mess with.

As long as you tell me,

this Beast Talisman is yours.

Do you think I'm still a three-year-old child?

Your ability to withstand my formation for so long

is commendable,

However, it ends here.

Master Shen needs more practice to improve his accuracy.

What's going on?

This time, Shen Wen has the advantage.

Next time, we'll find out who wins.

Oops, Shen Wen.

It's the Suanni Beast Talisman.

Stop right there!

Younger sister!

Elder Brother Yuan,

what brings you here?

That's because without saying anything, you

left for this place.

Foster father is worried about you.

So, he sent me here to back you up.

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

I located the Suanni Beast Talisman,

but the person holding it got away.

What?

The Suanni Beast Talisman is really here?

Based on the leads I received earlier,

I thought Dongchang Mansion seems

the most likely location.

But that's fine.

This achievement...

doesn't seem likely to be credited to Luo Yangxing.

Tell me the details

of what actually happened.

Yesterday, our investigation found...

Got it.

Ma Xiaoqi,

go inform the prefect to issue a warrant to search the entire city,

then ride out to alert our colleagues in nearby counties

to help track down Luo Qingning.

Yes, sir!

Younger sister,

you can come with me.

I have some questions for you.

Elder Brother Yuan,

we can talk later.

I have an urgent matter to attend to.

Get up!

Captain Mu,

you're back!

Can you explain how you came across the Suanni Beast Talisman?

Suanni Beast Talisman...

I went after that evil lady to try to intercept her.

In the midst of our struggle,

the Beast Talisman fell from her.

I tried to pick it up,

but that evil lady suddenly attacked me,

knocking me unconscious.

Why did Luo Qingning keep trying to catch you?

Did you take that Beast Talisman?

Tell me the truth!

Well...

I'm a master craftsman,

and she forced me

to help her discover the secrets of the Suanni Beast Talisman.

But I refused to cooperate,

and you know the rest.

Just now,

you seemed pretty eager to chase her.

It didn't look like you were unwilling to help her.

How can I cooperate with a thief?

She slanders my reputation

and ruins my innocence.

I can't wait to see her arrested.

Why didn't you mention this earlier?

Captain Mu, you should understand that

I don't want to get involved in government affairs.

And besides,

you broke out of jail.

It was Captain Mu who started arresting people indiscriminately,

so you can't blame me for that.

Captain Mu, you've seen it.

All of this is caused by that evil lady.

Please let me go.

Do you really think

bowing can fix everything?

It's just a small matter,

a token to treat Captain Mu to some tea.

Let's go.

Ma Xiaoqi,

ride to the capital and inform Deputy Commander-in-Chief Mu

that we can't investigate Prince De's Mansion.

Yes, sir!

Liu Shang and Wang Wu,

you two keep following Shen Wen.

Yes, sir!

If you also suspect Shen Wen,

why did you let him go?

The emperor favors these craftsmen.

Without solid evidence,

we can't act unruly.

Also, foster father has chosen to side with Tian Tongzhi.

We can't allow any gossip about us right now.

Otherwise, on Commander Luo's side

there's a group of people just waiting to take

over Foster Father's position.

The imperial court

only knows how to form cliques and alliances

to eliminate political rivals.

They're all scumbags.

It's really infuriating.

Be careful with your words.

Someone's been here.

Are they the Jinyiwei or Luo Qingning's men?

Who's there?

It's that stinking boar again.

Li Ren,

Shi Lun...

This list contains names of wealthy local merchants.

The remaining individuals

appear to be affiliated with the Yamen.

Back then, those who were arresting people...

who's responsible?
