[The Great Ruler]

[Previously]

[Previously] Defeat Liu Mubai,

[Previously] and keep the seeded place

[Previously] in the East Academy.

[Previously]

[Previously] I won't let anyone

[Previously] have what belongs to me.

This guy is a little different from other humans.

He's quite persistent.

Thank you for your enlightenment, Master Mo.

Finally, I've learned something

of the Spiritual Shadow Step and Spiritual Emperor's Finger.

The seeded place belongs to Liu Realm.

The contestants in the first round are

Mu Chen

and Chen Tong.

[Episode 16 Fighting for a Place]

I didn't expect

Mu Chen to be a contestant in the first round.

I heard his opponent ranks second in the Heaven of the West Academy.

It should be tricky.

Is that Mu Chen?

He looks gentle.

I didn't expect

him to do those things.

I hope this little guy

won't let me come here for nothing.

What on earth did Mu Chen do

in the Spiritual Land

to make the five great academies care about him so much?

Mubai,

don't worry.

I've disliked him for a long time.

I've always wanted to teach him a lesson.

I'll teach him a lesson this time.

I hope this guy can help me find out

how capable Mu Chen currently is.

Kid,

you were not admitted to the five great academies although you entered the Spiritual Land.

Now I'm your opponent.

Don't even think about touching the threshold of the five great academies.

This guy is only second to Liu Mubai in the West Academy.

It's not easy to deal with him.

He used to say

he wants to teach Mu Chen a lesson.

Now in front of so many people,

he's even more excited about it.

But

I have faith in Mu Chen.

Can you stop talking?

This guy

always looks arrogant.

I'll slap him in front of everyone later,

and let's see if he'll still be arrogant.

Flame Heart-Breaking Palm!

Aren't you arrogant?

Don't hide if you dare.

Why

is he always targeting my face?

Kid,

he wants to slap you in the face.

I see.

So fast.

Mu Chen.

You…

Sorry.

I used too much strength.

This guy is quite interesting.

I'm going to kill you!

His technique is impressive.

Mu Chen is not just an ordinary person now.

But

I'm afraid being fast

is not enough.

Mu Chen is indeed capable.

But I heard from Ling

that he has a weird temper.

He doesn't like to talk to people.

His speed is a little surprising.

But this

is more interesting.

Chen Tong is at a disadvantage.

Yes.

He's no match for Mu Chen.

Only Mubai

is strong enough to teach Mu Chen a lesson.

Is hiding all you can do?

That's right.

Flame Storm Spiritual Fist!

I'm gonna fight it out with you.

I...

I admit defeat.

I thought too much.

I didn't expect

that Mu Chen enjoys overwhelming superiority.

Mu Chen.

Good job.

-Mu Chen. -Mu, you are awesome!

-Good job. -Mu, you are amazing!

Good job.

Well done.

Chen Tong is just a sharp-tongued loser.

That's right.

You will end up pathetic

just like him.

I'll be waiting.

Bring me the seeded place.

Hm.

Next,

we're gonna have the second round.

The contestants are Tang Qian'er from the East Academy

and

Hong Ling

from the West Academy.

What a coincidence.

I've always wanted to fight with this pretentious woman.

I really don't want to have

a rude and barbaric woman to be my opponent.

I didn't expect

the most beautiful women in the East Academy and the West Academy to fight with each other.

It's gonna be quite a show.

It's finally Hong Ling's turn.

Her opponent is my favorite Qian'er.

They are two pretty women.

It's gonna be a wonderful show no matter how they fight.

That's right.

My long whip won't take pity on girls.

You'd better not show your coquetry to it.

My sword

is specially for teaching rude and arrogant people a lesson.

You should be careful of it.

Well,

Qian'er

always doesn't get along with Ling.

Well,

their personalities are so different.

Let's begin.

Hong Ling, come on!

Hong Ling, come on!

Oh no.

I'm afraid Qian'er will lose.

Qian'er has gone through the practice in the Northern Spiritual Plain.

She has become more experienced in fighting.

She should have a backup plan.

Got you.

It's useless to pretend to be pitiful in front of me.

Admit defeat.

You reckless woman. I didn't expect you

to be smart.

But you want me to admit defeat just like this?

You underestimated me.

I thought all you know is showing your coquetry.

It turns out you are a bit dauntless.

Let's fight again.

I'm not afraid of you.

Alright.

This round

is over.

But we still don't know who is the winner.

That's right.

If we tie with each other,

who can get the place?

Listen to Mr. Hao.

He won't let you suffer losses.

You may leave.

Okay.

Okay.

It's over?

-I was enjoying it. -We still don't know who is the winner.

Mr. Hao is such a disappointment.

That's right.

This is strange.

The number of places is limited.

Who will get the place if they tie with each other?

Could it be

that victory is not the only thing that Mr. Hao cares about?

Alright.

Let's continue.

Okay.

Next, we're going to have the last round.

The contestants are Mo Ling from the East Academy

and Liu Mubai

from the West Academy.

Mo Ling.

It's your turn.

I was hoping

I could be admitted to the five great academies this time.

I didn't expect Liu Mubai to be my opponent.

It's hopeless now.

You haven't fought yet.

Why are you so discouraged?

I have self-knowledge.

I'm completely no match for him.

Fighting with him

will only make myself embarrassed.

Don't be discouraged.

The result is indeed related to whether we can get a place or not.

But if my guess is right,

you may still have a chance even if you lose.

The competition between Qian'er and Hong Ling

was called off before it was over.

It means in the competition for the places,

what matters to Mr. Hao is not the result,

but our performance.

So if you perform well,

you might still have a chance to get a place.

What should I do to perform well?

I don't know.

But I think

as long as you do your best to win,

it can't be wrong.

You're right.

I can't just give up like this.

I should do my best no matter what.

I can't believe that guy dares to appear on the stage.

If my opponent is Mubai,

I'll just admit defeat.

I appreciate his courage.

But he's just there to ask for a beating.

Admit defeat.

Please enlighten me.

You just don't appreciate my kindness.

Pestering me.

Is this the method Mu Chen taught you?

So fast.

His power is so horrible.

Mo Ling is completely no match for him.

Wait.

I haven't admitted defeat yet.

You asked for it.

Don't be afraid.

When I was practicing in the Northern Spiritual Plain,

the spiritual beast I met

was much stronger than Liu Mubai.

But I still took advantage of its underestimation of me

to give it a deadly strike.

Now,

I can do it too.

I was careless.

But you are too weak.

Although I gave you a chance, you still couldn't seize it.

Since you still want to fight,

I'm gonna play with you for a little longer.

Admit defeat.

I can make you suffer less.

This is my only chance

to be admitted to the five great academies.

I won't give up

until I fall down from this stage.

Mu Chen just told you a lot.

He asked you to consume my strength in this way.

Right?

I'm fighting for myself.

It has nothing to do with him.

You are quite loyal.

Don't worry.

I won't let you fall down from the stage.

Mo Ling.

Come back.

Struggle harder.

Show him

the consequence of fighting with me.

Let go of me!

He's so stubborn.

He still won't give up even though he's like this.

He's very brave.

But he's completely no match for Liu Mubai.

This is not good for Mo Ling.

Why don't we persuade him to admit defeat?

No.

If Mo Ling admits defeat now,

he won't even have the slightest chance.

Although Mo Ling is not as strong as Liu Mubai,

he has enough courage.

This courage

might be the only thing now he can use

to prove himself to Mr. Hao.

But Liu Mubai, that bastard,

-is obviously torturing him on purpose. -That's right.

Liu Mubai has gone too far.

He's gone too far.

Liu Mubai is really bad.

He's despicable and shameless.

This is not a competition.

It's torture.

He can just win.

He's teasing his opponent, right?

This is the real purpose of Mu Chen, right?

You want to embarrass me?

I'm gonna make you a loser first.

Stop.

This round

is over.

Liu Mubai is the winner.

You're lucky.

The competition for the regular places

is completely over.

Next, we're going to have a competition for the seeded place.

Who wants to volunteer

to compete for the place?

Liu Mubai

volunteers to compete for the seeded place.

Mubai.

Mubai, come on!

Mu Chen

volunteers to compete for the seeded place.

Mu Chen!

-Come on, Mu Chen! -Bravo!

-Come on, Mu Chen! -Come on, Mu!

Come on, Mu!
