Episode 16

You listen to me Ji Hyung Min.

There is no need for us to fight.

That's right. This isn't fighting. This is me trying to catch you.

I need your help.

Let's try to catch Pusan together.

No, I'm going to get him alone. And I'm going to get you, too.

- You could die. - I don't care!

Let me ask you something.

Gyung Mi, was it really not your doing?

I already told you that it wasn't me.

Then who did it?

- I'm looking for him. - Don't lie to me!

I didn't kill Gyung Mi!

The one who killed Gyung Mi! We're going to look for him together!

Do you understand?

It can't be.

Did you know Gyung Mi?

Stop.

You bastard, are you out of your mind?

Stop!

Stop!

Hey, get him! Get him!

Get him!

Roll down the window!

Roll down the window!

Soo Min.

I told you to stay home. Where have you been?

I was hungry.

I was worried.

Things don't seem that great.

There are bastards from Pusan all over the place.

Those damn bastards.

- Where is Doc? - I'm not sure.

Where the hell did he go?

What the hell were you doing?

- I'm here. - Where the hell have you been?

- Were you worried? - Yeah!

Get that woman off of Prosecutor Ahn.

Excuse me?

Prosecutor Ahn was discovered by Ji Hyung Min.

Find a new place for that woman

and continue to give her living expenses.

Yes, I understand.

Soo, what about the facility?

It's all set up but...

What can we do in this situation?

But we still need to push things forward if we don't want to get pushed out.

What about Professor Jang?

This is the Professor Jang's trace I've found so far.

Since it isn't my turf, I'm going to use someone else to look into things.

You are going to use someone? Who?

You don't need to know.

I'll look for him as well.

You will?

Why? You want to bet who gets him first?

Do you think you could be my match?

Was it Doctor's Son?

Was it really Doctor's Son?

There's no reason why someone other than Doctor's Son would play that kind of trick.

Well, don't you think it's little strange?

If he found out that I am an undercover agent, he should've done something long ago.

But he went out of his way to call to warn you?

Doctor's Son would?

I thought he was a monster.

And Jin Sook is treating me no different than before.

It doesn't make sense.

The person who killed Gyung Mi...

might not be Doctor's Son.

What?

What are you talking about?

Don't answer.

- Yes, Jin Sook. - Where are you?

I'm at my friend's place.

Can you come to me now?

Yes, I'll be there soon.

Okay, then see you soon.

Yes.

Why did you answer it?

- I need to go. - No, you can't. I won't allow it.

I'm sure Jin Sook knows nothing about it.

If I don't go, she'll be suspicious.

How can you be so sure Lee Jin Sook doesn't know.

- She could just be acting. - Why would she do that with me?

When you were on the phone with Doctor's Son

I was with Jin Sook getting along nicely.

If Jin Sook found out about me...

she would've done something a long ago.

It was a dangerous thing from the beginning.

Please let me go.

No, I'm going to go.

Oh, you're here. Have a seat.

What's going on?

This is Professor Jang.

I've already spoken to all the joints he frequents in Incheon.

Hang around there and just call me as soon as you spot him.

Yes, I understand.

I really need him. You have to find him.

Yes.

I'm sure about Jin Sook. She doesn't know anything.

Do you think the phone call was fake?

Maybe he was trying to confuse you.

Jin Sook gave me a task.

That means she trusts me.

My task is about finding Professor Jang.

- Professor? - What about it?

Lee Jin Sook is looking for a professor?

In their world, they call the chemist who produces drugs the professor.

Doctor's Son has gone beyond distribution and now wants to go into production.

He really started a war with Pusan.

So you are going to go look for Professor Jang?

Yeah and please keep your promise.

The promise that you won't touch Jin Sook until you catch Doctor's Son.

Okay.

I discovered something before we sent Scale away.

Doctor's Son is looking for Professor Jang, so he can handle production himself.

Then we need to get ready, too.

- Call Incheon. - Yes.

Attention. Please gather around.

Starting now, gather all the information regarding

a drug producer named 'Professor Jang' and create a profile.

Let's begin now.

Information Team, increase the security level and begin.

Chief Yang, let me talk to you for a minute.

Yes.

Since it isn't my turf, I'm going to use someone else to look into things.

You are going to use someone? Who?

You don't need to know.

Are you guys in love or something?

Why? Are you jealous?

You have many problems, but your mouth is the biggest problem.

There you go again.

What about Professor Jang?

God, you're going to give me an indigestion.

Stop nagging me. I'm looking so just sit back and wait.

So who went to go look for him?

Is it someone we can really trust?

And you don't trust anyone.

You are the only one I don't trust.

Anyway, do you think Chairman Jo found out about us looking for Professor Jang?

Not likely if none of us has a big mouth.

Even if we get creamed, we should properly battle it out.

But, man, we're constantly in this tense mode.

Oh, you've gotten so much prettier since I saw you last.

You look great, too.

- You've been well? - Of course.

- Are there a lot of pretty ones? - Of course, I've hand-picked them.

He just came in.

Okay, keep an eye on him. I'll be right there.

What is it?

I found Professor Jang. I'll be right back.

Do you want me to help you?

Do you have a crush on me? Stop paying attention to me.

You know I've got really high standards, so why all this nonsense.

So don't get hurt and move on now.

I'm leaving now.

She's so cool.

Have a great time. Everyone, take good care of him.

I'm going to make you happy.

This isn't the room.

What's up with that?

What's going on?

I found Professor Jang.

I just spoke to Jin Sook and she said she's going to be here soon.

Okay, good job.

What are you going to do?

Watch him and continue to report back to me.

Okay.

- Chief Yang. - Yes.

I'm going out to the site. Please complete Professor Jang's profile.

Yes, I've got it.

- Chief Yang. - Yes.

Just in case, have the team ready to mobilize.

Yes, I've got it.

Professor Jang, please be careful.

I had a great time today.

It's Incheon Hotel room 1018.

Good job. I'll be there soon.

You said there were two people guarding him.

Yes.

- Tell him we're here. - Yes.

Wait a minute.

Didn't you say there were two?

Yes.

- They were here just a moment ago. - Let's go Soo Min.

Ms. Lee Jin Sook.

Where are you going?

- Get them. - Run!

I think they went toward the emergency exit.

Find them!

Ji Hyung Min.

What is this? What's going on?

Can't you tell? I'm in the middle of an operation.

What are you doing here?

By any chance, are you doing a deal?

A deal?

I came here to attend a seminar.

Is that something you should say to a woman in distress being chased by gangsters?

Why aren't you saying hi to each other?

What? Did you guys not get along?

I don't have time to chit-chat.

Don't ruin my operation. Hurry up and get out of here.

Since you got involved, you should help us till the end.

Perhaps you were meant to help us.

- Did you find them? - We'll find them soon.

We've blocked every single exit. You don't need to worry about it.

There is an exit over that way. You two should get out that way.

- What about you? - Did you forget? I'm a cop.

Stop being cocky and come with us.

If we stay together, we'll all be in danger.

Let us each find a way to get out this. Hurry up.

Fine, then.

You can come by anytime. I won't charge you for drinks.

Thank you.

I'm Ji Hyung Min from the special unit.

About Ji Hyung Min.

If he continues to interfere and present himself as a roadblock to our work...

Tell him that our relationship will have to end here.

Don't move.

- Don't move, you bastards! - Get him!

Long time no see, Doctor's Son.

Drop your gun.

Drop your gun.

Ji Hyung Min.

I said to drop your gun, bastard!

Why did you help me?

I told you that we should try to catch Pusan together.

You really weren't the one?

I told you it wasn't me.

- Did you know Gyung Mi? - No.

Go.

Thanks.

Gyung Mi. I promise you this.

I'm going to catch Doctor's Son with my own hands.

No, I'm going to kill him myself.

I'm going to check your bones first.

Team Leader Ji, what the hell is going on?

We are together now. We are on the same boat.

Quit doing drugs first as you promised.

If not, I'm really going to get you fired.

Why don't we take him to the hospital now for complete check-up?

Looks like it hurts. Does it hurt?

Team Leader Ji isn't telling us any details, but he brought in Pusan gangs.

And Team Leader Ji did get hurt a lot.

He got hurt?

It was Pusan?

Even the police seem joke to them.

I understand.

Yes.

Why did you want to see me again?

I wanted to tell you that all the shares have been taken care of.

As I promised, I gave 30 percent to Congressman Cha.

And I took the rest 70 percent. I was too shy, wasn't I?

Chairman Jo! You shouldn't say...

Listen to what I have to say.

Congressman Cha and Commissioner Ji.

I'm the one who enabled you to be in your current position.

So whether you become a presidential candidate or take over the big office

you have to remember that it was all possible because of me.

Chairman Jo, you've gone too far!

Is that so? Then I'm sorry.

Let me tell you something as well.

I think you have some rough guys under you.

Please take control of your guys.

Right now, you should be keeping a low profile.

I'm sorry. It's because my sorrow for losing my son has been so overwhelming.

So on that note...

Don't you think you should release my guys held at the special unit?

Are you okay? It hurts, doesn't it?

It hurts me to look at it. You should be more careful.

What happened to Suh Ji Hye's shares?

She committed suicide yesterday.

As if they've been waiting, her family divided up

the Sky Investment shares sold them all.

All of the shares have been sold abroad.

- Was it definitely a suicide? - That's the mystery.

She threw herself from the roof top of her apartment.

But Suh Ji Hye had absolutely no known reason to commit suicide.

Bastards.

You said all the shares have been sold abroad.

Please continue to follow up.

Team Leader.

I shouldn't have told him.

I should have let him rest for a little while.

It's great that you are safe.

- How about you? Are you okay? - Yes, I'm fine.

If anything hurts, you should go see a doctor right away.

Yes.

I wonder why Ji Hyung Min was there.

You didn't sleep with Ji Hyung Min. Did you?

Excuse me?

I could tell right away that you guys hadn't slept together.

Who was it that came by that day?

It was my ex-boyfriend. But it's over now.

You boyfriend gives money to spend time with you?

What a jerk. Where did he learn to be so rude.

What is it, Doc?

- Gi Chul. - Yes, Doc.

- Keep Professor Jang somewhere safe. - Yes, Doc.

Right now.

Come in.

- What's going on? - Oh, she's my sister.

I know you really don't have a sister.

Soo.

Who are you?

Soo.

Don't you know where we are?

I'll take the responsibility.

His name is Soo. He's Doctor's Son's right-hand man.

You should remember him.

He tried to kill Jin Sook?

Yes.

Didn't you hear me? I said I'll take responsibility.

Really, dammit.

Let me talk to you for a minute.

Soo Min, sit here and wait for me.

Yes.

Who is that. Really?

She saved me when you tried to kill me at the detention center.

Man, really.

Don't worry. She won't cause any trouble.

But this is...

This is where Doc stays.

Did you forget that no one else should know about this place?

I said I'll take responsibility.

Do you think I'll make things more difficult for Doc?

Really... dammit.

- Yeah, Doc. - Send her back.

Right now.

Okay.

Jin Sook, no one is allowed without my permission.

Okay.

Soo Min.

I know. I'm going to leave.

I'm sorry. You were put in an awkward position because of me.

Thank you for understanding.

Is that place by any chance Doctor's Son's hideout?

You are here.

Doc.

I want to be alone for a little while.

I'm sure of it.

- Yeah. - Where are you? Are you okay?

I'm fine. How about you?

That's good. I was worried about you.

What about those guys. Did you get them all?

Yeah.

I think Doctor's Son's right-hand man...

- Soo Min. - Yes.

No, you did a great job today.

You'll see. I'm going to get Doctor's Son.

I saw that guy today.

Doctor's Son's right-hand man is called Soo.

The place I visited could be Doctor's Son's hideout.

Okay.

What's with that reaction?

What's the matter? Is there something wrong?

I'll call you tomorrow.

Wait... I...

MSG90. It's a sniper gun.

Gyung Mi was killed by that type of gun.

Why didn't you go home and sleep?

No, I'm going to start questioning those guys we arrested at the hotel.

Send in the guy called Wooden Stick.

Actually...

Team Leader.

You haven't come to your senses, yet?

Team Leader Ji. First, sit down.

I'm sorry. Sit down.

Sit down and listen to me for a minute.

I spoke with their attorney.

He was throwing a hissy fit threatening to sue you.

I heard you shot two people in the legs.

On top of that, there was no evidence.

No drugs, no murder and violence.

There was suspicion of organized violence.

Also there was intent to kill a police officer.

I heard you shot them first.

It'd be a headache if they say it was self-defense because you shot them first.

Strictly speaking, it was excessive use of force.

So I think the best way would be to settle this quietly.

So why did you have to go around shooting people?

You should have been more patient.

That bastard.

Oh, my Wooden Stick. Welcome.

Your hand.

Your hand.

Chairman. Thank you.

What about Professor Jang?

Go and get him now.

If you make another mistake, that'll be the end of our relationship.

Yes.

Where did you hide Professor Jang?

Are we really going to make drugs or not?

We are going to make them.

Chairman Jo found out about Professor Jang through Scale.

Do you think having a facility would be okay?

Man. Seriously.

Wait a second.

Scale knew the location of our facility.

Byung Ho, we need to change the location of our facility.

Okay.

That's okay.

Is it Doc?

Good work.

Send Professor Jang here. We need to start the production.

Chairman Jo already knows about that location.

We first need to change the facility and then start the production.

- To where? - I only know where it is.

- Would you like that? - Yes, I'd like that.

Let's do that then. See you again soon.

Doctor's Son.

- What? - We should start mapping things out.

What are you referring to?

We need to run ahead of Doc.

Chairman Jo is scary because of the person behind him.

We just need to take care of the one behind Chairman Jo.

Do you understand?

Who's behind Chairman Jo?

The elder from Seocho-dong.

Safari, rather than die gently, do you want to die hard?

Do you have to do this?

You were never serious?

- Is that right? - Yeah.

Not even once.

President Jung?

This is President Jung.

The one above you I was asking you about.

What's going on with that?

Hey, president Jung.

You shouldn't be like that to me.

You are treating me so poorly and yet, you talk of the one above me?

And now that I know you are Doctor's Son...

You shouldn't make others feel so uncomfortable.

Whether I'm President Jung or Doctor's Son...

you knowing who I am won't change the fact that you can't do anything.

If you want to receive presents, you'd better listen to me.

So that's what President Jung said?

Yes, I'm not sure what he's plotting.

But anyway, he's been blackmailing and pressuring me to reveal my superior.

Blackmailing...

Does he have something on you?

No, there is nothing like that.

You find that President Jung first.

Once you find him, you should let me know right away.

I understand.

Nice to meet you.

President Jung! How dare you come in here?

Would you mind leaving us alone?

Are you President Jung?

- Yes, I'm going to sit down. - Stay there.

I'm sure you already know who I am.

You knew but you didn't hesitate being rude and just barged in.

I guess I can assume that you have no manners.

My apologies.

If you offend me, you probably know what will happen to you.

Of course.

Okay, then let me hear what the unwelcome guest has to say.

I'll cut to the chase.

I'll take over Chairman Jo's place.

I don't know what you are talking about.

But you've definitely offended me.

Being an unwelcome guest is your first offense.

So this is your second offense.

I understand Team Leader Ji Hyung Min is your son.

Am I right?

That was your third offense.

Team Leader Ji. He's currently chasing after Pusan.

At this rate, it's obvious what the result is going to be.

You may lose your son.

Commissioner Ji. Why don't you have seat?

I'll help your son.

Is President Jung...

Doctor's Son?

Yes.

You are a lot younger than I thought.

I'd like to pour you a drink.

You'd be able to take a lot more than when you were with Chairman Jo.

Would you be able to put that drink back into the cup?

No, I'll present you a new cup.

Look, President Jung.

When you want use someone, you don't look at the person.

But look at the person in the position.

Did you understand that?

I understand.

I'm sorry.

From now on, support all the investigations led by the special unit.

Why all of a sudden?

- Just do as I tell you. - Yes.

When you want use someone, you don't look at the person.

But look at the person in the position.

Long time no see, Commissioner.

Yes.

Have you had chance to think about what I talked to you about before?

You want to take Chairman Jo's place?

I'll replace rotten standing water with clean fresh water.

And it won't go rotten.

It's interesting.

By the way, what are you going to do about that Doctor's Son?

Doctor's Son.

Wouldn't he be pitiful at the end?

Would you use me?

I thought I had already given my answer.

When you want use someone, you don't look at the person.

But look at the person in the position.

Thank you for giving me a chance.

I'll come back after I sit in that position.

Doc, I need to talk to you.

Yeah.

You know about Jin Sook's sister coming by here?

Yes.

It'll be a while until Jin Sook grows up.

- In this current situation... - Don't worry. It'll be fine.

What is this? Do you know that girl?

Well, I kind of heard about her.

You know what? The look she had on her face really bothers me.

I really didn't like it.

Did you hear the news?

Wooden Stick, that bastard, was released already.

How the hell are we going to get Pusan?

You do have a plan, don't you?

We need to find the location of Chairman Jo's drug facility.

How are you going to find that?

It may not be a typical drug production facility.

What does that mean?

I need Jo Ha Neul's memory. I need information on the Cheonghak Foundation.

For what?

I need to find Pusan's drug facility.

Once you find it, what are you going to do?

It'll be useless unless you can prove that the facility belongs to Chairman Jo.

I'm going to prove it.

Please.

What are you going to do with Prosecutor Ahn?

I know what you did to Prosecutor Ahn.

Did you hear from Ji Hyung Min?

Don't think that I only know about things by listening to someone.

I can just figure out something like that.

I don't need Prosecutor Ahn anymore.

You don't need to worry about him.

You know...

Ji Hyung Min and I were in the same class at the police academy.

I know.

If I just had attended the academy, do you think I'd be where he is now?

I'm leaving.

When you start to doubt the things you believe in

what do you have left?

Faith and doubt?

They'll always be at odds.

But that doubt is also part of you.

And the struggle is only natural.

Whichever one wins, it's still on you.

It seems complicated.

I met Doctor's Son.

What are you talking about?

You met Doctor's Son?

He asked me for help.

He asked me to work with him to catch Pusan.

What's going on?

What?

Did you meet Ji Hyung Min?

Yeah.

Why did you do such an unnecessary thing?

Why?

An unnecessary thing?

More than anybody, Ji Hyung Min should know.

The fact that I didn't kill Gyung Mi.

So are you saying it doesn't matter if your identity is revealed?

Don't you realize, all this time

I've been protecting Kim Hyun Soo and Lee Jin Sook?

It's not protecting, more like using them.

What?

I need them in order to catch Pusan.

So just leave them alone.

And...

Don't forget to abort the undercover mission you initiated under Jin Sook.

Please.

Jin Sook.

This won't work. Give me your phone.

At this rate, we'll both be dead.

Once I leave, call this number and ask for help.

Let's go together.

We can't. Call this number, okay?

If you mention my name, he'll protect you.

Who is it?

Shi Hyun. Jung Shi Hyun.
