The number of comments Cressida gets is increasing rapidly.

-Which one...? -The rule is that it will be chosen tomorrow.

I know.

But there are so many of them, I'm just doing an initial check.

What is it?

I lost everything in that incident. Why must victims spend their eternity in hell? Do you understand?

-Tomorrow is the day to decide. -This is the one.

-Hey... -This is the one.

I've decided.

This is the one.

Who is Cressida?

Cressida is crazy

True identity?

Someone scary

Is Cressida from Shakespeare?

What is Cressida...

a giant social media influencer

if you express trouble or discontent

only the chosen will be granted dialogue

you will be granted a resolution

So professional!

It's so hard to be chosen

Is it one person alone?

Amazing!

It's stress relief

Fucking brat!

I'll follow them for life

It's so hard to be chosen

Our remedies oft in ourselves do lie, Which we ascribe to heaven

(That's what is says, but it's actually from All's Well That Ends Well!)

from Troilus and Cressida*

Skilled don't you think (LOL) Well, as it's your last birthday cake... Thank you

Come on! You're the one who said don't sleep at work.

You're making me mad! Come on!

Don't drink! Damn it, come on!

Okay, okay.

I'll never be a permanent employee anyway. It's too much of a burden.

Is that Cressida again?

Shut up, leave me alone.

Well I like it, and so does the general public.

The clarinet incident, the Kurikara religion incident...

And of course...

-The Cressida incident. -I told you to get lost didn't I?

Ah, but... what about the real person?

They must have changed their name, surely.

Excuse me.

Sensei,

-Your son has a piano recital this afternoon doesn't he? -Yeah.

This is just a minor job, so please go.

I'll get it finished as soon as possible.

Anyway, you both should get some lunch.

No, I'm fine.

If you can't diligently spend your time saving difficult people,

then you can't be a lawyer.

Well then, let's have a quick meal.

-What about you. -I'm too busy,

I'd be scolded by my precious wife.

-Well, shall we go? -Okay.

Dad!

During the day again?

I don't have anything better to do.

I'll be in the kitchen making lunch.

-Yui. -Yeah?

Your fiancé has broken off the engagement.

I heard from the other side. I'm so sorry.

Oh, never mind.

At my age I'm bound to have one or two cancelled engagements.

I'm not sure why, but I felt something was wrong.

That's a bit cruel.

He must have heard about the incident.

Never mind.

I hope I can join your mother soon.

It would have been better if I had gone first.

Don't say things like that.

You should greet your mother,

and... Taku.

As today is Saturday, we close at noon.

And with that,

it's time for the random selection... ow!

Shh! It's already been chosen.

Then why did you say they should be chosen at random?

It was my decision

No way!

If it's Air sama's decision then so be it.

Well then, what is it? It must be interesting.

You know, I'm not doing this for fun.

Yes you are.

You might think otherwise, but it's Ariel's decision so deal with it.

Fine.

I'm really surprised at the client Ariel sama chose.

I haven't seen a case like this before.

Yes, hello, this is the Umakata Law Office.

People with a good attitude can do their job,

buy a building in the best district in Tokyo,

and above all else, adore their wife and son, and have a happy home.

-Hello? -It's good.. being the only one.

Quit the practical jokes!

You don't know the sorrow of losing everything. That's why I'm going to teach you.

-Quit...! -Dad?

Oh it's you Yoichi. What's wrong? Isn't your recital soon.

It's been cancelled today.

So will you come and play with me instead?

You don't know the sorrow of losing everything. That's why I'm going to teach you.

I told you didn't I? I'll teach you. (Juvenile delinquent) Senpai san.

I told you didn't I? I'll teach you. (Juvenile delinquent) Senpai san.

Detective

Hiroto Takada

I'm really sorry that I couldn't be of any help.

Isn't there something that can be done?

The incident was a whole 26 years ago so...

I've been to law firms too... and many other detective agencies.

Everywhere already...

There is nowhere left to go.

In this country, assailants are better protected by human rights laws than victims so...

This is my family!

Since that day... time has stood still!

According to the juvenile law act, his name will have been changed.

I think it will be really difficult to track him down.

I understand.

I have an acquaintance who might be of help, I could try to get in contact?

Don't bother.

Oh, excuse me.

-What was that? -It's the one I spoke to on the phone.

The sister.

From the incident at St. Phoebe's Academy.

Yoichi! Yoichi!

Will you play catch with me?

Can't you come dad?

Come to the specified location. If you don't, the same thing will happen. Just like 26 years ago.

Come to the specified location. If you don't, the same thing will happen. Just like 26 years ago.

26 years ago, there was an incident at St. Phoebe's Academy.

A junior high school student known as boy A and the victim, Taku Aoike,

were seen playing in the vast grounds of St. Phoebe's Academy after school.

A senior in the baseball team gave a statement to that effect.

But two hours later, Taku Aoike's body was found

with multiple stab wounds.

At first, he said they were attacked by a thug but eventually, boy A confessed to the crime.

At the time, the incident caused a sensation.

Sis! Catch the ball!

Hey, Taku.

Dad really seems like he wants to die.

I'm going to be... really alone.

These are we give to you

the lines

The Cressida incident was crazy, but in a way, this is worse.

Yet he was still protected by the Juvenile Act.

Yeah. Even so, people's memories this fade over time,

Because he was such a young criminal...

typically, the parents would pay compensation.

So what?

Boy A's father was running his own company.

Murder of junior high school classmate

Murder of junior high school classmate (The incident at St. Phoebe's Academy) which took place in 1993. Boy A repeatedly stabbed his classmate boy B.

At the time of the incident, business was deteriorating.

He told the bereaved family that he was unable to pay.

Oh wow, what a shit!

The father of the victim ran a tatami business.

The mother had a nervous breakdown after losing her son.

It seems she became bedridden.

Because of the need to care for her, the tatami shop suffered.

It went out of business 11 years ago.

The sister has also had repeated failed engagements.

In this country, it's commonplace for people to pay too much concern to public appearances.

Nobody will help.

-So typical. -Hey, that's only part of the story.

Tell us the rest, quickly.

This is the real Cressida, we are just imitations.

I don't think it's taboo to do that though.

The real incident begins from there.

-What? -What? Are you bothered by it?

The family hit rock bottom.

yet they still didn't blame boy A.

Even so...

boy A changed his name and began a new life.

If something happens to my son, I'll never forgive you.

The life of a son is precious.

A long time ago, you repeatedly stabbed someone.

Who exactly are you?

I'm your rival.

Answer me! Who are you?

Come to the specified location. If you don't, the same thing will happen. Just like 26 years ago.

It's Cressida right? You're the criminal aren't you? Boy A from 26 years ago.

Where is your proof?

You're living a carefree life after not paying reparations to the bereaved family.

Isn't that more than proof.

Are you from the Aoike family? Were you involved?

Why come out now after all this time? Don't disrupt my life!

The one who has disturbed people's lives is you.

The one who has disturbed people's lives is you.

Is it here? Yeah it is. Here.

-Here you go! -Yeah.

Can't you use your network to investigate?

Yeah... well, I can't really.

Legally, minors are protected by the law.

Why are we even doing this kind of work?

Society is rotten.

So Takarada, what did you find?

The perpetrator became estranged from his parents. After that, his whereabouts are unknown.

There have been various rumors

among his university classmates.

University?

From where you are, turn your back to the tree and walk 14 steps.

There's a rumour that the perpetrator went to a top-class university.

Oh, and Yui Aoike, the older sister

-said something strange. -Something strange?

Cressida's going to help me.

Sorry.

Excuse me.

Is it possible to buy your lost time?

Pick up what you can see then turn around.

Will you come with us lady? To play catch?

We're here, what do you think?

What are the words?

Our remedies oft in ourselves do lie, Which we ascribe to heaven

-Yoichi! -Dad!

Yoichi!

Don't move... not even one step. Or else your own incident will be spread across the world.

After all... it's you.

You kidnapped Yoichi.

What kind of bitterness do you have to do something so foolish?!

One day, you will lose everything. are you prepared for that?

Who are you?! Where are you?! Say something!

Say something!

A murderer should apologise to the bereaved family. He's a lawyer living a carefree and wealthy life. Society would jump at the chance.

A lawyer?

What's wrong with that? It was an underage crime.

Living a new life is accepted by the law!

Taku couldn't live his life because you killed him.

Wait, are you...?

His sister.

The sister of Taku Aoike, who you killed right here, 26 years ago.

Taku wasn't the only one we lost because of you.

My mother was so shocked she became bedridden.

You were protected by the government, and didn't even apologise.

We lost everything!

I even lost the will to live!

Why are you doing this now?

Money? If this is about money, I'll give it to you.

I'll write a cheque straight away, just give my son back!

Then never show yourself again!!

I want to erase the past.

But...

But why?

Don't move! If you move, everything will be taken away from you.

You're free to do as you please

Let's play a new game, hide and seek.

I'll definitely find you.

Do you know what it feels like to live every day in hell? You'll find out... is the response.

I know... better than anyone .

The murderer from 26 years ago! Boy A who tormented the bereaved author's family is a lawyer!

1... 2... 3...

Do you know the sorrow of loss?

No matter what you do, where you go, day after day your head is empty.

Wait, what are you doing after all this time?

There is nothing I can do to move on with my life.

My father... myself...

-I'll give you money!! -It's not about money!!

So... I'm going to teach you,

what it has felt like for each and every day of the past 26 years.

17... 18...

St... stop!!

-19... -I get it! I'm sorry!

-20... -I'm sorry!!

I'll do anything!! I'll do anything!! So please!

Erm... this isn't the right way...

Those are the words I wanted to hear 26 years ago.

Huh?

-Taku!! -Yoichi!!

-It was mum... -I know, I know.

It's the lady right?

Huh?

It's getting too dark to play hide and seek.

Go back home to your father's.

Huh?

You're the one who brought the father.

You'll be full of life when you grow up.

-Dad! -Yoichi!

If you kill someone, you will carry that feeling with you for the rest of your life.

Even if you did that, it wouldn't help me to move forward.

I should have let you know that much sooner.

I'm sorry Yui.

Think of your family... don't ever forget.

You are already an adult.

Take the right steps.

Become a new person.

Dad!

Dad!

What shall we do?

If we make this public, he'll lose his job.

Something may have happened. It's my dream.
