[Episode 21: Does unrequited love count as a part of love? Part 1]

[Xi Nan Theatre]

Roasted chestnuts!

Boss, give me two servings!

What are we going to eat later?

Are we still eating?

If I keep eating with you like this,

the dance troupe will fire me.

Xiaoju, I also can't eat anymore.

I don't care.

I still have room for food anyway

so you two have to accompany me.

[Loved Letter] (T/N: They used "clear" instead of "love" here; a reference to a Japanese movie with the same title.)

Loved Letter is released.

Ancheng and I promised that we must go to watch it

when this film is screened in China.

What is this film about?

I heard it's about a beautiful

unrequited love story that's full of regret.

Unrequited love.

[Loved Letter]

Lin You. For someone like you who already has someone,

this kind of film should be left for those

who only dares to have an unrequited love to watch.

So what?

He's so far away from me now.

Then have you talked to him recently?

Of course!

We called and emailed.

But because he just arrived there, he's a bit busy.

Aren't you afraid that he'll

like someone else while he's abroad?

Of course, I'm not afraid!

With an amazing girlfriend like me,

how could he like someone else?

Just like how I won't like someone else either.

I'll wait until he comes back.

It's done. Five yuan for two bags.

Thank you.

Let's go.

Lin You and Yuan Ancheng's love for each other is so stable,

maybe as times goes by, Cheng Lang will slowly let go.

[Xi Nan Theater: Loved Letter; Row 6, Seat 8]

- Hello, Uncle Shen. - Hello, Uncle Shen. - Hello.

He stood you up last time. Aren't you angry at him?

I'm angry,

but I'm such a magnanimous person.

I plan to give him another chance.

Are you really planning to just be his pen pal?

What else can I do?

I already feel happy just being his pen pal.

I don't know what else to say to you.

If you don't try, how will you know it won't work?

I think you should go watch a film with Cheng Lang right now.

- Hi. - You should ask him out to watch that unrequited love film

called Loved Letter.

What are you talking about?

- Once you say Loved Letter, I— - Hi, Cheng Lang!

Taotao, Xiaoju, what a coincidence!

That's right, it's such a coincidence. I accompanied her here.

Y-Yes, that's right. She came here with me.

That... I came to get my mail.

I came to mail a letter.

I'll let you know once I arrange the time.

Sure. I have to go.

You guys continue to look for it.

- Okay. Bye bye. - Bye bye. - Bye bye.

- Uncle, I'm leaving now! - Okay, take care!

Xia Xiaoju.

You're such a coward! You're too much of a coward!

- Why did you say that? - Coward!

[Mango Pudding]

Pudding,

I think there are some things that we can't control.

Just like how the sun sets everyday,

and how the moon waxes and wanes.

Today, I finally understood that some things

don't pay off even after you put in the effort.

I think it's time to move on.

Last time, I wasn't able to meet you because something happened.

After I rushed over there, you had already left.

So if you don't mind,

I'll treat you to dinner this Friday.

At the same time; at the same place.

I won't leave until I see you.

Waiting to hear from you.

I told you that writing letters work.

Cheng Lang is finally moving on.

[CL]

Should I go?

Okay, I'll go then.

Let go!

What a surprise!

You actually took the initiative to study at the library.

That's rare.

Yes.

I rarely come to the library,

but I meet you here. I really have a bad luck!

What are you writing?

A-Advanced mathematics homework.

Advanced mathematics homework? Why are you hiding it?

Let me see how many you got incorrect.

Stop grabbing it. I'm not letting you see.

- Let me take a look. - No!

Where are you touching?

Xia Xiaoju, I just changed my clothes!

I'm sorry! I'm sorry!

Can you stop yelling?

If your clothes are dirty, I'll just wash it for you. It's not like I haven't helped you wash clothes before.

It's fine. Forget it.

I don't mean to scold you,

but when people write, they write on paper.

But you? You're writing on your hands.

It's not like I did it on purpose.

My pen broke.

If your pen broke, I can help you fix it.

Do you even know how to fix it?

If you can't fix it, you'll have to compensate me.

I can see your major is Accounting. Xiao Xiaju.

You're good at calculating.

By the way, how is the pot of daisies that I gave you?

It's good.

Well, that's good.

Then do you know what's the meaning behind the pot of daisies I gave you?

You're saying that I'm a bumpkin.

Fine.

Fine, Xia Xiaoju. You guessed it right.

You're amazing. Keep studying.

Loved Letter is already screening here.

I really want to watch it with you.

I've already watched it.

Tell me the truth, who did you watch it with?

Who else can I go watch a movie with?

I bought the DVD and watched it alone.

I mainly bought it to listen to the film's music.

The director really knows how to select his music.

There are some soundtracks that are really suitable for dancing.

You must watch it again with me.

I'm not by your side right now. How can I watch it with you?

Then we'll wait until the DVD is released here,

I'll go home,

and you can watch it with me from where you are.

No problem.

Okay, then.
