>> Julie: We have gathered today to join in holy matrimony--

this man and this woman. Before they begin the next

chapter of their lives, which, if I know them,

and I think I do, it's going to be

an exciting chapter. Are you ready?

If you vote for me, I will make sure that the kinds of criminals

that came after you get sent straight back across the border.

>> Chloe: I'm sorry, but Abe Carver has my vote.

>> Melinda: [scoffs] Well, you certainly have a knack

for putting your faith in the wrong men.

>> Stefan: Chad's not leaving the company.

He's heading up the office in Paris.

>> Gabi: In Paris? What are you talking about?

This is Chad's home. >> Stefan: Not anymore.

He leaves today. >> Gabi: How is this happening?

Wait, what about Abigail? Is she gonna go too?

>> Stefan: Mm. Gabi, I'm not really in a

position to...ask any questions. Maybe they reconciled.

Maybe they're over for good. I don't know.

>> Julie: Marriage joins together two people who love

each other in a lifelong commitment to that love.

Chad and Abigail will make their vows.

>> Haley: I'm Haley Chen. >> Eve: I'm Eve Donovan.

>> Haley: Mm, the wrecking ball. >> Eve: Excuse me?

>> Haley: Your words. At the New Year's Eve party when

you showed up with JJ's dad. >> Eve: You mean when I brought

him back to the people he loves? >> Haley: Aww, except you seem

to really hate them, and pretty much everyone else

shouldn't talk about things you don't understand.

>> Haley: What I understand is what you're doing to JJ,

his mom, and his sister-- you're using his dad for it?

>> Stefan: [exhales] I do.

>> Gabi: That means total autonomy.

and I will leave right now. >> Stefan: [chuckles]

You know, I-- I could do that,

but I have to think the big picture here,

you know, what's healthy for the company,

and I'm not convinced that you or your Chic

is good for DiMera. >> Gabi: Because you hate me.

>> Stefan: [exhales] It's not personal.

It's business. It's about the company.

It's about the bottom line. And Gabi Chic

has not performed as well as expected.

So, my first instinct is to fire you.

>> Gabi: You cannot do that. >> Stefan: Oh, yes, I can.

>> Abigail: I drew the short straw, so I have to

say my vows first. >> Chad: Well,

I gotta follow her, so who really drew the short straw?

[laughter]

>> Abigail: [sighs] Okay.

Chad, when we first fell in love,

God, we had no idea what we were getting

ourselves into. They say that

when you meet someone, and you fall in love with them,

you're drawn to them because they have something

that you need. And we're here today because

I need you. I need your courage,

and I need your love, and I need your faith.

Your faith in us-- you believe always that

we can face anything. And I'm so beyond grateful

that I get a second chance at a life with you and our family

and our beautiful children. You are

the love of my life, Chad. There's nothing that I want more

than to spend the rest of my days with you...

[exhales, laughs] >> Chad: I told y'all

You know, he may have played superhero for a nanosecond,

but doesn't mean you're safe. What if those thugs come after

you again, or your kids? >> Chloe: We'll be fine.

I promise you we're safe now 'cause we've actually

moved into the DiMera mansion. >> Eve: Did--wait--

did I hear you right? >> Chloe: Yes.

We moved in with Stefan.

>> Stefan: I won't deny that Gabi Chic served a purpose,

but wouldn't it be better to quit while you're ahead

before it becomes yesterday's news that nobody wants?

>> Gabi: I want it. Consumers want it, okay?

If you just read this proposal I have for expansion,

you would understand that. >> Stefan: [chuckles]

You know, I'm beginning to think that my mother

and Andre were correct-- lose you,

and strip it down for cash. >> Gabi: What?

not again. >> Stefan: Sorry, Ms. Hernandez,

but consider yourself fired. Now, get the hell

>> Julie: I believe we have a ring bearer who's very excited

to perform his duty. [all chuckle softly]

>> Julie: Thank you, Thomas. >> Abigail: Good job.

>> Julie: Chad, place this ring on Abigail's

this ring as an eternal symbol of my love

[laughter] I want you all to know that

each and every one of you hold a very special place in my heart.

You've all been more family to me than I've ever known.

>> Abigail: Dad, um, you weren't there

for our first wedding, but Chad read a passage about

family from my favorite book. Family--

family "is the reason that we transcend hardships,

and know that no matter where we are flung in this world,

we have a home."

>> Jack: [stammers] My book?

>> Abigail: You and mom-- you taught JJ and me that

if we have family, we have a home no matter where we are.

And that is the-- the home that we wanna build

for Thomas and for Charlotte. You guys gave us that.

>> Chad: And we can't wait to start.

>> Abigail: Yeah.

How's the arm? >> Tripp: Ah, you would never

know the cook tried to turn me into a French fry.

and this is rare, and so I either toss away

all this deliciousness, or you do the right thing

you were regretting, you know, making some big decision.

>> Haley: No, no, not this time. It was a total happy ending and

one of my friends turned out to be one of the

most trustworthy people I know.

>> Kate: [sighs] Well, wedding on the fly

and off to Paris. I told you not to be rash.

>> Chad: I'm a rash kind of guy. >> Kate: Yeah, you're the best

kind of guy and I'm going to miss you.

>> Chad: We could always meet up at Café Deux Margot.

>> Kate: Yeah, well, you can count on that.

You know, you are the last decent DiMera,

you know that? >> Chad: Oh.

>> Kate: Au revoir, mon chéri. >> Chad: [chuckles]

>> Abigail: Come here. >> JJ: [sighs]

I know that Abigail has to do what's best

for her and her family, but I can't even stand

But somehow, it made me feel like that I might have

a chance to help him recover his memories.

since he was thrown overboard by Abigail's figment

of her imagination. And what's he do?

He sweeps up a damsel in distress and whisks her off

to his castle. I mean, what are you,

How come Brady didn't move you into the Kiriakis place?

>> Chloe: Oh, well, Victor doesn't want me

He is such a bastard. I mean, those are

Maggie's grandkids. I mean, surely Brady

can do something, right? >> Chloe: I love Brady,

and he's been an amazing friend, but this is easier, you know,

with Stefan. There's no baggage.

There's no strings. And I know my kids will be safe.

like the one that you're making with Jack?

but what if he wakes up one day and he gets his memory back and

he remembers his past and he remembers that he loves Jennifer

But just what if Jack does get his memory back,

and he actually realizes that I'm the woman

he truly loves, that I understand him in ways

that Jennifer never could. >> Chloe: So you're saying that

you're not just even a little bit worried that he's sitting

next to her right now at Chad and Abigail's wedding?

>> Eve: Of course I am, okay? But I can't change any of that.

He's Abigail's father. That's not gonna change, right?

Look, Jack and I are building something,

something--something very real and important.

And I'll tell you right now. He would be running for mayor

if that witch Trask hadn't thrown a pointy hat into the

ring and ruined everything. >> Chloe: Mayor?

>> Eve: Yeah. Well, Jack was

an assemblyman before, and a very good one.

>> Chloe: Last I checked, anyone could run.

>> Eve: Mm, but third party candidates usually never win.

The only way that Jack could run and actually win is if Trask or

Carver got knocked out somehow. And the only way that

that's gonna happen is if I had some ammunition,

and right now, I got nothing.

>> Haley: That was crazy good. Thank you.

>> Tripp: Hey, no, thank the chef.

I mean, he's the one who messed up the order.

>> Haley: Hey, sometimes mistakes turn out not to be

as bad as you thought. [both chuckle]

>> Stefan: I'll have your office cleared out.

>> Gabi: Let go of me! >> Chad: The hell is going on?

>> Gabi: What's going on is Stefan just fired me.

He's gonna dismantle Gabi Chic. Can you please do something?

>> Chad: I'm not CEO anymore. My hands are tied.

>> Gabi: So, you're just walking away?

You're really moving to Paris? >> Chad: Can you blame us?

>> Stefan: What? You got married?

>> Abigail: Remarried. We are going to Paris tonight

with the kids. We're moving there.

>> Gabi: You know what the good news is?

The good news is that Charlotte--

she's gonna be way better off with her mother and her real

father, light years away from the hell that is Stefan DiMera.

>> Stefan: Congratulations. >> Chad: It's--I'm just--

little pity party is finished, you're not gonna find a way to

get even with Stefan for screwing you over.
