you know that's not real right i know

but isn't it beautiful

i'm gonna give it to lassie we could

have just given her a pizza if you

hadn't walked all over it don't you

think she'd like some flowers

why don't you pick some flowers no way

we're gonna get that picture

how are you gonna get it down

i've got an idea let's get another pizza

and then find a solution

no just go up and get it

wow

i didn't think it was so big

there's one more inside

hey you got a ton of stuff here so

what's up mrs lee's been bitten by a

black widow the anti-venom is somewhere

with that shipment it's in a pack of six

small green boxes wrapped in plastic got

it i'll go get it for you thanks the

sooner the better at her age this could

be really really serious

i love you

hurry

so

is graham coming with the anti-venom how

did you hear that i didn't

but i know if you had the antivirus here

you would have given it to me already it

was a black widow wasn't it yes i know

it hurts but it's not fatal unless

you're very young

or very old isn't that so dear you just

rest you'll be fine

[Music]

it's not such a big deal to miss the

film is it harvey the most important

thing is to save mrs lee mrs lee will be

all right won't she daddy

sure honey we'll get there with the

anti-venom and everything will be fine

oh no dad

how long's it gonna be could be an hour

it's closed in both directions

is there another way

there is

[Music]

a little bit more

just a little

bit

more

[Music]

[Music]

so is it pizza time

let's bring it to lassie yeah

this road goes to the valley yeah it

comes out at the old bridge at brushy

bar

dad

hey

hey

please

stop

you guys stay here

there was a moose blocking the road we

had to swerve to avoid it and hit these

rocks my wife is unconscious please

please help us

what's going on mr parker i'm going to

have to stay here and help these folks

his wife's banged herself up pretty bad

but what about mrs lee

[Music]

you're going to take her the anti-venom

but how aren't we miles from the valley

the bridge is just down the hill you

should have service when you get down

there if you don't keep walking until

you hit the main road either call home

or find a ranger are you sure

absolutely sure i would trust you to

you three with my life

okay

that's my girl now get going

take care of them okay

[Music]

oh

come on

come on

chief park ranger graham parker i can't

come to the phone right now

i hope you're on your way

[Music]

let's stop here and try yourself

[Music]

there should be a signal

but there's not

[Music]

i guess we keep going

on foot it'll be an hour before we even

get to the main road it's an hour if we

walked but we have to walk no we don't

my folks know the guy who lives in that

cabin he lend us his canoe the valley's

just a half hour down river

it's like non-stop wipe water

that i've done with my folks three times

what about salmon falls we don't run

salmon falls there's a bridge just

upstream we'll take out there

hey slow down my feet aren't touching

the ground oh if they started out so

well and then i've had nothing but

trouble thanks a lot biff

guys put that thing down i gotta show

you something

but we're taking it to the barn oh leave

it come on

[Music]

thanks a lot road works a tourist told

me

can you run up there and meet them

why don't we just take her i wish we

could but i don't want to move her she's

fragile and

you need to hurry got it

don't worry mrs lee everything is going

to be fine

[Music]

look it's mrs lee

she doesn't look so good

like i said she's really sick what can

we do

come on

poor mrs lee spent all day cleaning this

room up

and look at it now so you want us to

clean this up it's the least we can do

we made this mess so let's unmake it

[Music]

see you can

thank you

and do be careful

let's get down the river

[Music]

what's that rumbling beaver creek rapid

should we get out and scout it no it's

too dangerous we need to go right

it's how we went last year

i don't know

[Music]

three

yeah

and my turn

i swear that tree trunk wasn't there

last year it's okay we've got lassie

the river's running really high

i know we're making great time we'll be

down to the bridge real soon i hope so

just don't worry

we're going fast but it's going to get

really big downstream

i see what you mean

we gotta bail out this water no don't

leave it if we're heavy we won't tip

over you're right as long as we're

really moving

be careful

[Music]

wait

do you still have the anti-venom

[Music]

[Music]

beth what are you doing here sarah sent

me down here to find you how's mrs lee

not good

she was pretty weak when i left you have

the anti-venom no i got hung up with

these folks i gave it to zoe she was

coming down here didn't she call

[Music]

no

no service

where'd they go

down river look

there's usually a canoe on that beach

it's gone

sure

that's the quickest way to the valley

they'll take out of the bridge by salmon

falls okay i better get down there i

need you to run these folks back to the

valley okay okay

come on you guys

you're with me

thank you

[Music]

don't worry i'll bring you to the

hospital

[Music]

oh

[Music]

we should try to pull over we will down

there by the bridge

[Music]

[Music]

okay

[Music]

[Music]

we're too heavy

we're not moving

[Music]

we're gonna miss the bridge

we've gotta make it

right downstream

zoe harvey

grab the throwback

ready

now

[Music]

oh

[Music]

[Music]

grab the rope

[Music]

[Music]

oh

[Music]

stay here

[Music]

ah

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

oh you're the best

there's the antsy van is it okay

it's fine let's go

that's it it's over

how are you feeling much better thanks

to you two

we couldn't have done it without lassie

yes of course

what an amazing girl you are

are you sure you don't want to stay here

tonight

no i've got some unfinished business at

home

[Music]

let's go

here it is

i don't know why it was so hard to find

before

here for the three little heroes who

saved my life

wow

thanks

you two are making history now

so every time you do something amazing

you can add to this box

like today

[Music]

thanks guys

what about your present for lassie

maybe we could just pick her some

flowers

so then who's up for a piece

[Music]

i will never let you

down to everyone

[Music]

thank you

[Music]

job to keep the oh together

[Music]

oh

[Music]

hey good work lassie

how do you like the roundup it's amazing

look

they've splintered off the main herd

i still don't get why we can't just

leave the wild horses out here there are

too many they don't have enough food and

if we don't find them good homes dad

said rustlers steal them why

so they can sell them for their meat

yuck

[Music]

there you go

this is what you were born to do huh

wow i think we're actually done

maybe not

look

dead

how's it going cowboys

there's a mirror up there on the messa

can we go get her

mr store is in charge not me can we go

mr store

take her slow

and stick to the trail thanks mr store

[Music]

have you seen lassie

nope what's wrong

someone's been stealing my kibble get

everybody and meet me in the back

so you think you can't solve this crime

without lazy's help who else do we know

that's smart enough to figure this out

i'll make believe i didn't hear that

you want to find a bone get a dog you

want to find a thief i'm your man or a

hamster or whatever come on

[Music]

she's beautiful

how are we gonna get her back

[Music]

we need to get a rope around her she's

too scared

then what do we do

zoe be careful

that's it i won't hurt you

you come to me

[Music]

[Music]

it'll be okay

[Music]

wow

well done

zoey was amazing i just asked her nicely

and she came along she must have

wandered off to full full

[Music]

she's going to have a baby and soon it's

good you brought her in

it's gonna be all right i promise

[Music]

i like this cowboy stuff it's cool you

think she's going to be all right

sure she is she's got you and lassie

taking care of her

and you too cowboy

yup

[Music]

what's going on

something scared the horses and they're

loose you guys stay right here and let

the cowboys take care of this

[Music]

[Music]

huh

they're done

let's go we can't leave not yet

why not

the mayor she's not there

we just can't ask the men to go looking

for a single horse i'm afraid we gotta

go as soon as we're packed up

how long is it gonna take you

about an hour dad we can't just leave

her i promised

one hour

thank you dad

[Music]

you take care of them here

[Music]

what is it did you find something yes

someone ate your food and they were in a

hurry how do you know cause they spilled

a piece but look they left a footprint

here

hey

i found a footprint too

a footprint here

and one over there

maybe there are footprints in between or

maybe the perpetrator of this heinous

crime was a a kangaroo

[Music]

what's a kangaroo

oh why me

it's strange i don't see anything me

neither where did she go

[Music]

we're miles from the camp it's not a

good sign

i think we better head back

[Music]

zoe i'm sorry but she's not anywhere

around here i guess you're right

[Music]

looks like she wants us to follow her

you think she smells something

yeah

coffee

[Music]

harvey they've got her we gotta do

something

not just her fault

she must have just had it

they wouldn't kill a baby would they

i don't think they care

to them they're just me

you have an idea a way to slow him down

i saw it in an old movie but it'll

totally work

i know i got a picture here somewhere

ah-ha behold the kangaroo

[Music]

oh

it's gigantic and dangerous

i think it can have all the food it

wants

are you kidding not a chance we gotta

show this thing who's boss how do we do

that we build a kangaroo trap

[Music]

you might as well get going i'll wait

for the kids i reckon we can wait a bit

i'm sure they'll be here soon and if

they're not we'll go find them simple as

that thanks john

with all these horses we'll learn

ourselves enough to live comfortably for

a while

yep we sure were lucky them cowboys were

fast asleep

[Music]

yeah they're great cowboys but horse

guards

they're pretty lime

hey

you got that right

be careful girl

[Music]

our horses

where'd that dog come from

i hope this will work

stop that dog

[Music]

come on

[Music]

come on

[Music]

they got our horses

[Music]

get them

[Music]

[Music]

don't give up you're doing great

[Music]

we did it we got her and her baby we got

him all

yeehaw

i think we're safe now

playtime's over kids

[Music]

when they get atvs who cares

um

[Music]

right or left which way

i don't know

what are we going to do

[Music]

lassie says we go that way

[Music]

you did it

to the right

[Music]

hurry up

get them quiet okay

we're fine go on girl lure them to the

back of the canyon

be careful lassie

[Music]

huh

[Music]

followers

[Music]

[Music]

uh

[Music]

we got them

oh

[Music]

you're the best

amazing

let's go

[Music]

don't worry everything's going to be all

right now

[Music]

oh

that ain't no wolf oh

that's lassie there's trouble

you heard him

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

my brothers

[Music]

[Music]

that's enough

[Music]

think you can just walk into our camp

and take our horses they're not your

horses

[Music]

would somebody shut up that dog

[Music]

you'd better stop that

yay

hey you

why don't you put down that rope

yes sir

you're late i know dad we're sorry we

just got you know

sidetracked almost got yourselves

bushwhacked

he's right we got the mayor

and her cult and a bunch more and i

guess we got the wrestlers too there are

two more down a side canyon they crash

their atvs are we in trouble that

depends you're working for mr store

today not me

what do you think john these cowboys in

trouble

i reckon we can let him off with a

warning

then again the stables could use a good

cleaning

dad

sorry zoe it's not up to me now let's

get going we're taking these gentlemen

into custody there are two more donna

canyon on the left i'll need a couple of

fellas to help me with the prisoners is

there something we can do

you stay out of trouble till we get home

we can do that

sure sure we can you were pretty great

back there you too but we could have

gotten into some real trouble if it

wasn't for lassie come here girl

you're the best dog in the world

[Music]

she's right

time to go home

[Music]

more

[Music]

is this big enough

you bet now we just set our trap and

wait what you guys doing huh

you don't believe what's been happening

since you've been gone there were

mysteries

crimes and wild animals from other

countries really wow yep

oh hey biff before i forget you probably

noticed but i left so early yesterday i

didn't get breakfast so i grabbed some

food out of your bowl

i hope you don't mind

i don't believe it

no of course not so why are you guys

digging a hole

oh i just

never mind gotta go

good bye

very soon

next time we wait for lassie

[Music]

thank you lassie

[Music]

thank you

[Music]

huh

[Music]

oh

[Music]

you're the best

that came from the clinic sounded like a

wolf yeah come on

[Music]

oh

i knew it was a wolf

she's so cute

she's a gray wolf the people at the

nature reserve were hoping we could

place her with one of the packs up here

will that work

yes wolves are good like that as long as

the timing's right

speaking of which i gotta go tell your

dad that i'll be up at the chamberlain

basin campsite

can we come with you

sorry sweetheart i really want to keep

human contact to a minimum and with your

dad go until late i need you and lassie

to keep an eye on things sure mom we'll

make sure everything's okay starting

with snacks from mrs lee store that

seems fair huh

yeah totally

tricky

[Music]

these are so good and messy

classy hello

hey biff

there's something i want to show you

this new one is amazing it's the best

yet

now watch

[Music]

you want to try

ah

[Music]

you gotta sell ammunition

ammunition we're in a national park

poison man for what wolves the wolves in

the park are protected not if they're

gonna come onto my ranch and kill my

cattle they ain't then all bets are off

oh i haven't heard of any wolves

attacking cattle in years yeah well we

lost another steer last night have you

told the ranger why should we look

wolves are hunting our cattle so we're

hunting wolves

you get our stuff no he doesn't have

your stuff and he's not going to get it

here fine we'll drive to town they got

traps up there we'll buy them all

sounds good to me

we gotta stop those guys

i'm going to get your dad on the phone

you can't he's on the other side of the

park there's no service down there you

can't even get him on the radio

mom will know what to do but she's

already up in the mountains right in the

middle of wolf country

come on

didn't your mom tell us to watch things

here someone else can do it we gotta

save those wolves

okay

someone else can do it but who

[Music]

hmm it'll be easier on foot

how are we gonna find your mom we won't

lassie will right girl

[Music]

come on

[Music]

whoa

your mom got up here with that wolf cub

in a cage

yeah she's gotta find the wolf pack

before she can let it go

sure

of course

so zoey's folks are out doing stuff and

she and harvey and lassie are looking

for wolves and they were supposed to

keep an eye on things so

so nobody is protecting their house so

we can raid the refrigerator

no

nobody is watching their house so it's

up to us to keep it safe from what

uh it doesn't matter if lassie was here

she'd be keeping an eye on things

[Music]

it's weird those guys said that wolves

were attacking their cattle but look

they've got plenty of stuff to eat up

here it doesn't make sense

i mean why go all the way down to a

ranch they know it's dangerous think

there are any wolves around here

i don't know

[Music]

oh no my flashlight

i totally got you yeah you got me now

you can go get my flashlight

uh-oh that was dumb zoey okay i'll go

fetch your flashlight

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

huh oh

[Music]

ugh

well thank you lassie

did you find it

okay

i'm fine we should find mom before it

gets dark

come on

stay close okay

[Music]

wow

wait until it's over battle stations

what huh

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

i got him i got him

[Music]

do

[Music]

where are you going

[Music]

hurry up

mom

zoey harvey what are you doing here i'm

so glad to see you

is something wrong yes

come on you can tell me on the way home

no it's not at home it's here

here what's going on

we went to mrs lee's after you left and

two ranchers came in and said they were

going wolf hunting oh wolf hunting

they're coming up here with traps

they're setting wolf traps in the park

yeah they could be up here right now

do you think it's possible that the

wolves did attack the rancher's cattle

oh of course not

actually zoe it happens but in this case

here

be very quiet

[Music]

come take a look but don't make a sound

[Music]

they accepted her right away but here's

the thing with cubs this young the

wolves wouldn't leave the pack

they wouldn't go near the ranch so they

couldn't have attacked that guy's cattle

but they're still getting blamed for it

it's so unfair

come on it's getting late it's time to

go home

will the cubby okay with the wolves

yes sweetheart

[Music]

something went crazy here

i bear-proofed everything

i don't think a bear did this there are

no claw marks just teeth it's not wolves

oh no it's not

it's a dog

a big dog

i keep a catch ball in the truck

and a tranquilizer

are we going after it we have to i don't

care how vicious it is nothing deserves

ending up in one of those traps we need

to catch it before it gets hurt or hurts

anyone else

it's bait

is it poisoned probably not look around

[Music]

[Music]

lassie

[Music]

what's she doing

she's heading off the traps

way to go lassie

[Music]

oh

[Music]

that was amazing

you're the best

let's throw these things in the truck

your dad's going to want to talk to

whoever sold these

are we really gonna watch the house all

night

yes that's what centuries do that's what

lassie would do wouldn't she be inside

i guess so

then we're not doing this right

lassie would be inside uh-huh eating

okay then let's go

[Music]

okay

[Music]

where are you going with those put them

down you know these are illegal so who

cares they work

anyone could have stepped in these

whoever sold them to you is gonna wish

they hadn't you don't understand lady

we've been losing cattle i got news for

you guys i don't think wolves attacked

your cattle and how would you know that

my mom's a wildlife biologist and a

veterinarian look there's nothing else

out here that could have done that kind

of damage i've looked at the tracks and

the teeth marks what you've got is a dog

and a big one probably half wild by now

what's a dog doing out here people

abandon dogs out here all the time when

they can't handle them not people i like

but people do it you had a hunting dog a

big one

you didn't it was wolves

that's what's killing your cattle

that's your dog isn't it

not anymore it's not

let's get out of here

what are you gonna do

catch him if we can

yeah it's not his fault he's out here we

need more open space we need to draw him

out it opens up further down by the

river by the cable crossing sounds good

to me

everyone back up see if we can get him

to follow you know this dog don't you

it's max

his name's blue

just back away if you run i'll come

after you just back up

oh

[Music]

catches us

[Music]

we're gonna use this basket to cross the

river you don't seriously think we can

get in there

harvey you're first i've never done this

before

we'll give you a push

[Music]

zoe wait it will take you all the way

across

[Music]

zoe you're next no way it's my turn

[Music]

get out of my way

oh

[Music]

all right

[Applause]

[Music]

[Music]

hmm

[Music]

[Music]

oh

you're okay i was so worried that some

dog

yep she's laughing

[Music]

looks like those wolves may have saved

our lives yeah looks like it

[Music]

if we tell dad maybe he can find the dog

and help it

i'm sure he can

my husband is the chief ranger guess

he's gonna want to talk to us you think

[Music]

lassie

hey bev hi lassie everything here is

a-okay oh good

we kept an eye on things while you were

gone

what is this

oh no not again

who messed up the kitchen like this it's

gross

i don't think it was a very big dog in

any case what did you guys do we were

protecting the house while you were gone

you know from wild animals but who was

protecting it from you

[Music]

not that big a thing i bet when we get

to the end you're gonna be super stoked

of the back country this is a marked

trail that borders the back country i

job to keep us from having fun both you

into lassie's heart

we're gonna need some skis

[Music]

what am i supposed to do with those

make history

[Music]

[Music]

you know it'd be easier if we head up

over there

avalanche

you're right we're not because we're

gonna go this way
