oh

i think lassie might even be more

excited about this hike than we are

my new luxury garden wing is going to

quadruple wedding bookings for the hotel

hey watch out those plants are worth

more than you are i'll build a room with

these plants on the inside mr humphrey i

don't think i get it you shouldn't be

thinking at all nick and you certainly

don't need to get it you just need to do

what i say

come on lassie's waiting for us

you see something girl

it looks like it's having trouble flying

it might be hurt

wow nice job lassie i think it just

fainted

maybe not

look at all these blue spots here along

what are they

i don't know but my mom might let's get

this poor little guy back to the clinic

this is the fourth sick animal that's

been found with these symptoms today

it's okay lassie they're all running

fevers and seem weak from dehydration

but i'll do my best to care for them

what is it mrs parker a disease some

kind of poison

i don't know

but i'm going to send samples to the lab

in jefferson city and find out jefferson

city how long will that take at least a

day or two but we can't wait that long

more animals could be getting sick out

there right now so we we don't even know

what we're dealing with here what can we

possibly do i i don't know but we have

to try to do something zoe there could

until we know more don't let lassie eat

i promise mom we'll be extra careful who

won't we girl

did you see how kind glass it was to all

we should be doing something to help too

is lexie all you ever think about

kind of don't you see what's going on in

there it looks like animals are getting

sick all over the park and last time i

checked we are definitely animals if we

really want to help the best thing we

can do is avoid getting sick ourselves

take us right we need to put ourselves

into isolation right away who's with me

just one question what is putting

ourselves into isolation mean exactly we

but if you'll just slow down for a sec i

have an idea that might help us look in

the right place the sick animals were

found here

here

see there's a cluster in this area if

you follow it upstream it leads right to

the bottom of cedar falls that's it well

done harvey let's go there and check it

see if we isolate ourselves from

everyone else all we have to do is wait

here until the whole epidemic is over

that makes sense sure if none of us come

or go there's no way we can become

what if one of us is already infected

and none of us would be safe

see that blue phone that can't be a

no lassie don't go near that water zoey

lassie has more sense than both of us

put together i know but if she got sick

i just couldn't bear it we need to find

out what's causing this harvey we will i

promise

do you hear that

zoe

hold up well at least wait for me

what

oh

whatever it was it's gone now

check it out

tire tracks

and look more of that blue stuff

there are footprints over here

look at this

it's the same blue stuff come on let's

follow the tracks

no more tracks

we need to go back look for more clues

see

those are truck tires instead of looking

for more clues we just need to work out

well there were a bunch of trucks at

humphrey's new construction site back at

of course that's gotta be it come on zoe

wait listen

hang in there

we're gonna have you feeling better in

but zoe we don't know for sure i mean

there's no conclusive evidence i know

that's why we have to find some wait

get away from me

well if any of us were infected i think

it's safe to say we all are now this is

terrible i might never see lassie again

let me guess lover boy it probably

involves lassie well yeah so so maybe i

have a final request too i have a long

list actually but i said it first so

what that doesn't mean guys guys this is

no way for friends to be spending their

final hours together there's a perfectly

fair way to resolve this

draw straws

it could be any one of these trucks if

we make a plaster cast of the tracks we

can compare them to the tires step

inside for more clues first

look at the color they're using

oh a stack of empty blue paint cans new

wow it's the paint that's what's making

the animal sick it's exactly the same

color as the traces we found but we need

to get a sample let me guess more tests

it's the only way to know for sure that

it's toxic unbelievable everything is

under your nose and you still need more

proof

look

same footprints from before nick's the

culprit we've got to tell my father he's

construction work and so we wait we need

to get these paint samples tested first

we need to stop nick and hunter before

no that's impossible but dad i

understand how upset you are zoey but i

can't just close down the construction

at the hotel we don't even know for

certain what is making the animal sick

tell him harvey this is serious it is

serious but that's exactly why we need

to get proof and make sure that we're

zoe don't worry i'm going to look into

everything you told me and get to the

bottom of it i swear but it could be too

late by then i just wish there was a

faster way to analyze this paint

don't worry there is

we've got to understand how the paint

got into the river okay then i'll meet

you there

bye come on

so

delicious fresh food

awesome

thanks for this delicious last meal guys

who goes next or was it you houdini you

better believe it okay somebody better

write this down

but i think we might get back to you on

but i think it might be a bit early for

none of us are even sick yet well if you

pass that means it's my turn right

sure i guess sassy right let's get it

over with

oh please come in

did you find something

and that's why i've brought you this

very interesting can you tell if the

well i don't know of course i can i'm a

i'll start running the tests right away

just kidding

i was right it was nick

can you see him he's dumping the empty

paint cans there isn't he

oh no not again

stupid paint

come on

hey

girl

go get dad

i know everything nick no

you're polluting the entire valley with

that paint nick what are you talking

about animals are getting sick because

of you because of me too

as impossible as my father arrives

you'll have to explain yourself come on

already told you i've got nothing to do

with this outbreak you keep talking

zoey what's going on here dad don't

worry i'm fine but you've got to stop

i saw him tossing out empty paint cans

at the top of cedar falls i wasn't

throwing them out i was putting them out

for recycling to pick up nice try nick

but my dad's too smart to fall for a

story like that aren't you dad

sorry zoe but nick has a point that area

is zoned for picking up and recycling

that's exactly where he was supposed to

put those empty paint cans

zooey it has to be this time it's making

the animals sick dark souls had the same

blue marks on their mouth i saw them zoe

it's true doc tested the paint it's

environmentally approved and perfectly

safe

it's not the paint good everything is

fine i'll be on my way there

because i'm tossing out empty paint cans

i just got the initial lab results from

their condition is the result of some

i just hope we can identify the toxin

and figure out the source before it's

too late

i'm really sorry harvey i was completely

about everything

no zoe you were right to come out here

and look for answers it was better than

yeah but you told me we needed to wait

until the paint was tested i should have

listened just because the paint isn't

causing the outbreak doesn't mean there

isn't some sort of connection the blue

paint out here still traces back to the

hotel but if it isn't the paint what

else could it be

classy don't drink that she's not

she found something

look like some kind of seeds

have you ever seen them before

this is the seed to a plant known as

indian licorice it's very toxic that's

what's causing the animals to get sick

but this plant comes from tropical

but how did exotic seeds like these end

up in the park come on zoe we have to go

the seeds definitely made the animals

the good news is that now that we know

the source of the toxin i can begin

treatment right away but we still need

to figure out how those exotic seeds got

into the park in the first place we need

more clues and more information dad can

we go back to the hotel construction

there she is now go fulfill your final

wish knock her off her feet you

heartbreaker you

but she's leaving man so are

go you romeo

looks like nick's in a big hurry to get

out of here

what am i talking about it's lassie

you again what is your problem are you

okay zoe

these were nick's van

are you thinking what i'm thinking

maybe paint wasn't the only thing that

i don't get it they're just seeds

these seeds poison the animal this is my

private property mine telling me what's

going on here reporting exotic plants

here is against the loft they threaten

the ecosystem in this valley but this is

an indoor garden these plants aren't in

contact with the environment that's

where you're wrong the plants may never

environment but the seeds did thanks to

every time nick moved those empty paint

cans out of the back of his van he

rinsed off his boots

he was spreading those seeds every time

you fool you spread those seeds in the

palm oh just a few see just a few seeds

are what made this park grow nick and

the ones you've been spreading around

you are my little sugar duckling oh

princess of my dreams

you are my little sugar dumpling i mean

you are my little sugar duckling oh

princess of my dreams

lassie

biff what are you doing here i uh

actually i wanted to tell you um my

duckling cream

sugar

yeah

thank you for showing me the handbrake

you're a hero

i am

i mean i am

i

classy

just in time good job phew

lucky you didn't damage my van

you'll be formally charged with

preservation rules you're going to need

those new wedding profits just to cover

the hefty fines

you were right about waiting for the

right information before doing anything

but it was you refusing to wait that led

us to the hotel in the construction site

your theory may not have been right but

thanks harvey i guess that means we were

both right huh i guess so but that's

what makes us such a great team that and

having lassie on our side you can say

that again
