i don't get why you're worried lassie

can totally take care of herself she

sidetracked what do you mean why would

she have stopped she had a note for my

mom

okay we're gonna have to go out and find

her you'll get the rangers to help us

helicopter i can't ask my rangers to

leave the valley to look for lassies

they have to be here for the visitors

we can help them out i'm glad you guys

we're climbing partners you need us

zoe said lassie went over the ridge east

of wolf rocks which means she would have

come down the red bud trail and come out

somewhere up this trail it's a place to

start and if we make it all the way up

to wolf rocks we'll know she took a

i'll stay here and keep an eye on things

if lassie shows up here i'll radio okay

come on let's find lassie let's hit the

trail and spread out okay

thanks mom

you're welcome sweetie

strawberry is my favorite flavor be

careful it's gonna melt fast

see

we animals have powers that zoe and her

dad don't have biff's sense of smell

looper's incredible hearing and pika can

fly and we all share a laser-like focus

what do you hear looper

the usual stuff

worms in the ground footsteps people

talking

something just went splat could you

please focus on finding lassie it

sounded like ice cream oh boy what

flavor is it

it's strawberry

my ice cream

stop crying now sweetie we'll get you

another one

it's around the corner

come on

what didn't he understand in ice cream

now what this is the last place we saw

her where did she go well seems like

lassie takes care of the whole park

maybe somebody needed her good point

i mean she was just taking a note for me

if someone was in trouble she'd go but

let's put up and look

this way

there are deer tracks and here look

these look like lassie's footprints

what was she doing down here

looks like lassie came down here to

scare off a bear

a bear a black bear

but what was it after

she was protecting them

wow lassie chased away a bear

more likely she just took her around the

those spawns are too young to run

but then what then she should have

headed home which is that way but her

tracks lead this way

there's no way we can follow her tracks

across these rocks but we can guess

where she might be going how okay guys

we need to think about this first she

came this way for a reason maybe she

heard something or someone if it was

people they would have been on a trail

but maybe there was someone else in real

maybe lassie took another detour

three pines trail is over the ridge

hey do you guys have sign up sheets at

the base of each trail absolutely

we could find out who went up three

pints this morning sounds good to me

if i was lassie and if i was lost

i would first try to find the visitor

center you know why because that's where

all the maps of the park are follow me

i'm sure we're on the right track

somebody just dropped a hot tub with

chili and cheese

yeah and then we'll find lassie

here look

what are their names

mike said they're carl and jennifer rush

mr rush mrs rush excuse me

you signed in at the trailhead this

morning i radioed a ranger in the valley

how did you know we were in trouble

we did it are you okay we're fine carl

got stuck on an outcropping i didn't

know what to do so i called for help and

a dog came and saved you yes she was

quite remarkable

where was that up where the trail

crosses cascade creek

let's go

so we wait

it's not safe

dad you don't think

if she fell down there i can't see how

zoe you know lassie better than anyone

can you feel it she's alive isn't she

call her

i'll radio your mom and let her know we

can call off the search how are we gonna

get out there we're gonna rig a zip line

you bet can we dad absolutely we're

gonna have to hike upstream to the next

bridge that's the only way we're getting

someone on the other side that'll take

an hour let me cross i'm light it'll be

i'm not risking it put a rope on me and

i told you we're climbing partners

if you're sure

i'm sure

after stopping at the visitor center

we'll take the nature walk to observe

i'd like to remind you that you are not

allowed to pick flowers or feed the

animals so is everybody ready to go

okay then

they're the sloppiest eaters i've ever

must be a club or something a sloppy

eaters club yeah

we're not here to eat we're here to find

lassie but how do we know those people

don't have lassie let's hit the trail

she could be over there right now

with the sloppy eaters

i guess it wouldn't hurt to check

be careful you gotta keep your feet as

wide as you can

delay on belay

here we go

ah

we got you

wow

what are you doing

oh

huh

lassie saved her

you're amazing thank you so much

are you all right

yes

hold on tight

oh

oh

thank you lassie

you know what i love this dog we all do

huh

oh hey

i guess we fell asleep

yeah

i was stuffed

boy that hot dog was good but now we

really have to find lassie leave me for

a bunch like us it's not gonna be hard

to find her remember we're a craft team

with incredible

skills there wassie see

well we are good

now who's hungry i think we earned a

snack

mom

what's this

it's going to be a couple of hours late

it's the note i wrote see zoey lassie

i think we need to set two more places

sure mom dad and irene set up a top rope

so mary could cross the old bridge on

cascade creek but when the bridge

collapsed the rope broke do i really

it turns out okay lassie was there to

catch me yeah

we love her

i will find the

and
