The bright moon shines through the window lattice
The city gate looks dimmed in the twilight
The handwriting is tiny but pretty
There's hardly any dust on the desk
I hang a lantern up at midnight
I hum and hum till the dawn comes
I indulge myself with a childhood dream
While the flower blossoms once more
La La La La La La La La …
In the distance a bamboo flute plays
Countless ripples travel far on the surface
Fireflies fly about to kiss the breeze
Fishes float up and ripple the lake
I sit on the bow of the boat and pour a drink
The three of us toast to each other
While rejoicing at our friendship till late in the night
What a reunion after a long separation
This is where flowers wither
This is when the moon becomes full
A cold breeze clears the sky of clouds
I look up and see the icy Lunar Palace
One two three
La La La La La La La La …
The autumn wind has been busy …
… to make a night with a clear moon
It rained heavily at midnight yet flowers are blossoming as ever
Who is humming the beginning of Like a Dream?
Thick leaves fading flowers, trade them for wine
That fleeting glimpse was only for the sublime music, play hard and break the string
Can't you see? Can't you see? Just one more sip
The fragrance of poetry fills me, in this late autumn I leisurely drink
It's now midnight and everything feels cold as they once were
The bright moon shines through the window lattice
The city gate looks dimmed in the twilight
The handwriting is tiny but pretty
There's hardly any dust on the desk
I hang a lantern up at midnight
I hum and hum till the dawn comes
I indulge myself with a childhood dream
While the flower blossoms once more
La La La La La La La La …
This is where flowers wither
This is when the moon becomes full
A cold breeze clears the sky of clouds
I look up and see the icy Lunar Palace
La La La La La La La La …
