Hey, what's up, guys? Welcome back to my pixel art lesson
Today I'm going to guide you through
setting up your programs on hardware and show
you guys what I personally use to make pixel art.
For my hardware I use a Wacom Cintiq 12wx.
It's not really necessary to have a tablet with a screen.
So I find it comfortable to see directly what I'm drawing.
It's ultimately up to your personal preference.
If you have a Surface tablet
or even a mouse
you can still make pixel art.
Although using a mouse will kind of hurt your wrist.
So please take care by taking breaks between drawings.
I also have two display monitors
So it's really easy for me to compare the colors of my artwork.
The Cintiq that I'm using right now doesn't have great colors.
Subtitled by -♪ online-courses.club ♪- We compress knowledge for you! https://t.me/joinchat/ailxpXoW3JVjYzQ1
So I recommend using something with a better display.
As for my software
I use Photoshop and after effects for all my pixel art,
but this course will only be using Photoshop.
I know a lot of you guys have been asking me
whether you can follow this course
using Procreate or Clip Studio Paint or Aesprite and those programs are perfectly fine
but I only recommend using those programs
If you know them really well and you've used it for pixel art before.
I'm only going to be teaching this course through Photoshop.
So if you're a beginner and you want to learn from the ground up,
then I recommend you following along and getting the Photoshop bundle.
So what you guys want to do is go to the Adobe website
and go to the Creative Cloud "Plans and Pricing.
From there, we want to get the Photography bundle
That includes Lightroom and Photoshop.
After buying the Photography bundle, install Creative Cloud onto your computer
Open it up and you'll be able to install Photoshop. What you want to do is click install.
and just wait for it to finish.
Open it up, boom, you're done!
All right, so that was just a quick run-through of my hardware and my software.
Let me know if you guys have any questions
or run into any trouble setting up. So in my next video I'll be showing you guys
how I set up my Photoshop for pixel art use.
See you guys in the next one.
