and now go

here the best that came from the clinic

sounded like a wolf yeah come on I knew

it was a wolf she's so cute she's a gray

wolf the people of the Nature Reserve

were hoping we could place her with one

yes wolves are good like that as long as

the timings right speaking of which I

gotta go tell your dad that I'll be up

at the Chamberlain Basin camp hi can we

come with you sorry sweetheart I really

want to keep human contact to a minimum

and with your dad go until late I need

you and lassie to keep an eye on things

sure mom we'll make sure everything's

okay starting with snacks from mrs. Li

that seems fair huh hard yeah yeah

totally tricky

these are so good and messy classy hello

hey Biff there's something I want to

it's the best yet now watch you want to

try you guys sell ammunition ammunition

we're in a national park poison man

for what wolves the wolves in the park

are protected not if they're gonna come

onto my ranch and kill my cattle they

oh I haven't heard of any wolves

yeah well we lost another steer last

night have you told the Ranger why

wolves are hot now cattle so we're on

wolves you get our stuff though he

doesn't have your stuff had eased up

going to get it here fine we'll drive to

town they got traps up there we'll

we gotta stop those guys I'm going to

you can't he's on the other side of the

park there's no service down there you

can't even get him on the radio

I don't know what to do but she's

already up in the mountain right in the

middle of wolf country

didn't your mom tell us to watch things

here someone else can do it we gotta

save those wolves Hey okay someone else

can do it but Oh

hmm it'll be easier on foot who we gonna

find your mom we want lassi will right

girl

come on

whoa your mom got up here with that wolf

yeah she's got to find the wolf pack

before she can let it go sure of course

so Zoe's folks are out doing stuff and

she and Harvey and last year looking for

wolves and they were supposed to keep an

eye on things so so nobody is protecting

refrigerator nobody is watching their

house so it's up to us to keep it safe

uh it doesn't matter if lassie was here

she'd be keeping an eye on things

it's weird those guys say that wolves

are attacking their cattle but look

they've got plenty of stuff to eat up

I mean why go all the way down to a

ranch they know it's dangerous I think

there are any wolves around here I don't

know oh no my flashlight yeah you got me

now you can go get my flashlight oh that

was dumb Zoe okay I'll go fetch your

flashlight

ah

well Thank You assie did you find it

you okay I'm fine we should find mom

before it gets dark come on stay close

okay

Oh

mom Zoey Harvey what are you doing here

I'm so glad to see you something wrong

yes come on you can tell me on the way

home no it's not at home it's here here

what's going on we went to mrs. Lee's

after you left and two ranchers came in

and said they were going wolf hunting Oh

wolf hunting they're coming up here with

traps they're setting wolf traps in the

park yeah they could be up here right

now do you think it's possible that the

Wolves did attack the ranchers cattle oh

of course not actually Zoe it happens

but in this case here

be very nice

come take a look but don't make a sound

the cup of mcCormick

they accepted a runaway but here's the

wouldn't leave the pack they wouldn't go

near the ranch so they couldn't have

attacked that guy's cattle but they're

it's so unfair come on it's getting late

it's time to go home well the coffee

okay with the wolf's yes sweetheart

something went crazy here I bear proved

everything I don't think a bear did this

there are no claw marks just teeth it's

not Wolf's oh no it's not it's a dog a

big dog I keep a catch Pole on the truck

and the tranquilizer are we going after

it we have to I don't care how ambitious

it is nothing deserves ending up in one

before it gets hurt or hurts anyone else

it's bait is it poisoned probably not

look around it

what's she doing she's setting off the

traps

amazing

you're the best let's throw these things

in the truck your dad's gonna want to

talk to whoever sold B's are we really

gonna watch the house all night

yes that's what centuries do

that's what lassie would do wouldn't she

then we're not doing this right lassie

would be inside uh-huh Edie

oh hey then let's go

okay

by why either the geyser mrs. Lee's

store where are you going with those put

them down you know these are illegal so

anyone could have stepped in these

whoever sold them to you is gonna wish

you don't understand lady we've been

losing cattle I got news for you guys

I don't think wolves attached your

cattle and how would you know that my

veterinarian look there's nothing else

out here that could have done that kind

of damage I've looked at the tracks and

the teeth marks what you've got is a dog

and a big one probably half wild by now

people abandon dogs out here all the

time when they can't handle them not

people I like but people do it you had a

hunting dog a big one you didn't it was

wolves

that's what's killing your cattle that's

your dog isn't it not anymore it's not

let's get out of here what are you gonna

do catch him if we can yeah it's not his

we need more open space we need to draw

him out it opens up further down by the

river by the cable crossing sounds good

to me

everyone back up see if we can get him

to follow you know this dog don't you

his name's blue she's rough Macky just

back up

we're gonna use this basket to cross the

you don't seriously think we can get in

I've never done this before we'll give

you a push all the way across you're

no way it's my turn get out of my way

you're okay I was so worried that's some

dog yep she's laughing

looks like those wolves may have saved

our lives yeah looks like it

if we tell Dad maybe he can find the dog

I'm sure he can my husband is the chief

Ranger guess he's gonna want to talk to

you think Lassie

hey babe I'll se everything here is

oh good we kept an eye on things while

you were gone what is this oh no not

again who messed up the kitchen like

this it's gross I don't think it was a

very big dog in any case what did you

guys do we were protecting the house

you know from wild animals but who was

protecting it from you

oops I gotta go

thanks Lassie oh we're lucky to have you

you're the best
