hi clay

good morning mr miller come in sit down

hello

well this isn't exactly a social call

have you seen lassie around lately what

do you mean lately she's around all the

time if jeff's here she's here have you

seen her in the last hour what are you

driving at son

well a man from the city was fishing at

the lake

he claims he saw lassie frothing at the

mouth he drove into town and reported it

to doc wilson

doc called me and told me to come out

and get lassie get lassie

there's been some rabies around ellen

clay

i always give you credit for having

common sense but where entire nation

would lassie pick up rabies i had to

shoot lynn herbert's dog a week ago

monday they've had two or three cases

over dope town

has she caught any foxes lately

lassie why she ain't got a fox and she

caught one a few days ago near the hen

house huh

doc says there's some foxes around

carrying it

do you think lassie's got rabies where

do you have to take her clay

county pound a little ripper

you better whistle jeff up now look here

alan i ain't going to let clay or

anybody else take that dog away just

because some half whip from the city

thought he saw something you have to

muzzle or flame

afraid so will then

here they come

i'm telling you ellen this is downright

foolishness please

hi hi jeff

see those look good they're not very big

this year but there's a lot of them

they'll be fine dear

what you doing leave it on her jeff oh

why mom she's never had a muslin her

whole life

i know dear but

clay's got to take her away for a while

take her where

easy girl

where mom

a man fishing at the lake reported

seeing lassie frothing at the mouth

there's been some rabies around and and

clay and doc wilson both feel we

shouldn't take any chances so plays

taking her to the county pound where

she'll be kept under observation but it

won't be for long will it play just

three weeks three weeks

well there's nothing we can do better

boys

you understand don't you

[Music]

i'd better take her collar and leash

she won't go with me unless i put a

leash on her sure jeff come on girl

[Music]

taking you to any old town

[Music]

they'll take good care of at the pound

mr miller i ain't arguing that i ain't

even disputing she might have picked it

up all i'm saying is that that dog's

been running free since she was a pup

you muslim lock her up away from jeff

and she won't eat no drink and the next

thing you know she'll be dead

[Music]

[Music]

why can't we put her in the bun

she's got to go to the pound mr miller

all right

take her to the pound but mark my words

no good income of it

she'll be all right i'll see to it

if anything did happen don't worry ellen

clay

you want to know how lassie got the foam

on her smooth

well this is her water bowl and jeff put

his bubble pipe stuff in there and she

stuck her snow did it

play

and then she run down to the lake to

wash it off i think you're right

[Music]

you can't jump to conclusions now if we

hadn't found this just gone

gone the muzzle was on the floor in his

room well he couldn't have gotten far

i'll go out

[Music]

all i could think of was to take lassie

away

and for nothing now now there's no real

harm done chances are he's over to joe

kings and went over to porky's come on
