I am "El Silbador".

And I know many things thanks to my nocturnal walks.

I know many strange stories hidden in hearts ...

... of men and women that have entered the shadows.

Yes, I know terrible nightmares of which I dare not name.

And tonight, in a lonely place near from the road of a small town ...

... we found a birthday party Uncommon, at its right point.

Congratulations, dear Eileen! And celebrate it many more years!

Many more years!

Thank you very much. I will not forget that you have remembered me.

How could we forget, with this guy remembering us all the time?

Tommy, You should not be here.

Why not, mam? It was worth it.

I did not expect this at all.

- What about another round, friends? - I do not know. This was very strong.

It will take a little more Tommy.

- Will you hold it? - Sure I know.

- What did you give Eileen, Steve? - Should I tell you?

Come on, tell me.

- The engagement ring! - And go stone!

- You're very lucky, Steve. - And tell it.

- And I am a lucky woman. - Lucky? Casting with this card?

We are glad you chose him to him, instead of that cop.

- C llate. - Show us what you did Eileen,

... when Steve put you that ring on your finger.

Come on, tell us. Do not be shy. Come tell us.

Ok, you what you have loved

I have to go fondly. I have to make the delivery of Bethyu.

See you later. Good friends.

Goodbye, good luck.

- Are you going to Bethyu, sir? - Yes, go up.

Thank you.

Generally, you do not pick up hitchhikers, Steve.

But, with a hot drink under the belt,

... and the memory of the kiss of Eileen on your lips ...

... you feel friends with everyone.

It was only a minute late, but ...

... those 60 seconds are going to change the course of your whole life.

Do not drive so fast, please.

Is this fast? Well, I just started.

Oh, do not give up the curves!

Rel jate, I am the best driver in the state.

Careful, Jimmy!

Bethyu is about 11 kms. We will refuel at the McCabe gas station.

Where is the gas station? of McCabe?

It's just past the curve.

- Hello, Mr. - Hi Max.

How is the night going?

It is under control and ready to finish for tonight.

No, there are no accidents.

I correct. A truck just crashed in the McCabe gas station.

Call again.

- Well done, Steve! - I do not get it.

Tell me what happened

I tried to dodge that car. He came directly to me.

- What car? - The one that appeared on the curve.

Come by my lane.

Are you sure there was a car?

If you do not believe me, Ask the guy who came with me.

What type?

He was a hitchhiker.

I was sitting next to me at the time of the collision.

- S ? - I'm not lying.

There was a man sitting there, when That car pulled me off the road.

The guy who was driving it I should be drunk.

He does not seem very sober. Maybe you were the one who drank too much.

You stopped at Rock Point to celebrate Eileen's birthday, is not that so?

Yes, I drank a drink, And what?

There is a law against truckers that they drink alcohol at work. Now you know.

If you want to say it technically ... but I'm more sober than you think.

You'll have to convince the judge of that. Maybe the others will create your story.

You will not want to hang this Why did you take Eileen away?

If it was not in service, I would have done something about it, smartass.

If you did not wear that uniform, I would help you to do it.

Do not move from here, I have to inform the central.

Go shattering! Someone is going to have to pay me this.

- Thanks for bringing me. - There's no question.

I already heard about What about the truck?

- I'm glad that nothing happened to you. - I'm in a bind.

Watch this.

- Drunk driver. - That's what he says.

That policeman waited for his chance. Why did not you crush her head?

Charlie, I'm in trouble thanks That stupid policeman.

Luckily insurance covers you.

I will not do no claim.

- Why not? - Because if I do it,

... they will accuse me of driving drunk and cancel the policy,

... and I could not drive anymore trucks.

And what are you going to do?

The only thing I can do, pay.

I think I can pass money in the trucks.

That would be like being carefree of everything.

And what? It will be short time. That is all.

You only have a couple of hours left. Let's have a cup of coffee.

Unable to provide the defense...

... not a single witness who confirm your view of the facts,

... this court reaches the conclusion that the accused ...

... I was not in the right conditions to drive the night of September 23.

- It was not like that, Eileen. - Say it.

Each one has his day. The mine has already arrived.

- Is that a threat? - You can think what you want.

Do not argue with him any more.

Wow, Steve, It's like flying with a B-38.

- I was hoping you'd have fun with him. - Of course.

I did not think it was so fun.

Do you know? I would like that, when you grow up, continue in aviation as a profession.

I would like it very much.

And do not be a truck driver like me.

These sandwiches are very rich, mam .

Everything is very good in a picnic.

Anyway, I would love it I can fix it, can not I, Steve?

It would be fantastic.

If you like mam and cook so well, Why do not you marry her?

C mete lunch, and do not talk so much.

But someday you will, Tommy tells you.

You're right, but first I have to recover the work.

It seems to me that You are wasting time.

A smart boy

But...

... events make me impossible to deliver the load tonight.

It's fine, Bernie. I do not want you to get sick.

Is the truck loaded?

Tr elo here. Can you, at least, do that?

Okay, Bernie, goodbye.

What bad luck. Now Bernie is sick.

Well ... then you can Go Thompson.

It's an idea.

I'll call him.

I want you to do me a favor.

I'm sorry too. It will be complicated to find a driver now.

Come on, goodbye.

- Hi Steve. - Hi, Jerry.

I'm sorry about what happened to you with the truck.

- Oh, I do not think you feel that much. - Do not say that, Steve.

Although we are rivals, we can keep being friends, no?

- If you want it. - It will be good for both.

Listen, friend. I had all the truck business ...

... when you came and you lowered the rates.

That's because you charged them Too much to customers.

And what? No one complained Until you got in through.

Look, let's not start again with that.

I have a legal order.

It's fine, it'll be short. I would like to buy it.

The answer is still no.

Do not say anything until you hear my proposal.

I give you a part of the business,

... I work for you and for Charlie, I commission of the rents and ...

... and you'll have room in one of the trucks.

I do not believe in Santa Claus. No deal.

- Why? - Do you think I'm stupid?

The transportation market will make me earn a lot of money in the next few years.

Yes, if you hold on until then.

I will do it.

I have a strange Philosophy, Steve.

I always try to get what I I want good manners ... at the beginning.

It's fine, Bernie.

It's a shame there is not learned to drive those trucks.

- Who can you get? - I am alone.

No, Steve. If you get caught you will lose everything.

And what do you want me to do?

If I do not deliver the merchandise, I will lose the client.

-I can not afford it. You will lose your job if you drive trucks.

Maybe I can not forget the last time that the judge believed my story.

Steve ... everyone says that you drive a truck

I already know. You think so?

I've heard that. I do not know what to believe anymore.

Why do you think I'm back?

For the pleasure of being hanged?

- Do you want to tell me everything? - Of course I do.

Listen, honey.

What?

A man without the right thumb.

I'm sorry Charlie, I have all the mechanics that I need.

Mr. Mason, I wish I could use it.

It is hard to find work. I do whatever.

- Unless you want the night shift. - That would be fine.

Thank you, Do you mind giving me fire too?

Absolutely.

Do I get the smoke for you, too?

Can I do something more?

Yes, go to the office and check your parking voucher

It is a good idea.

Steve!

You were right about Jerry. They brought 4 stolen cars ...

... and I've parked them there. What do you think?

One of the drivers does not have thumb in his right hand.

- Good luck! Is it still there? - Yes.

And it will be there one more hour. Then he and two other guys ...

... will drive other cars cross the border.

Well ... I'm going to cheat to the police.

You do not think it would be preferable catch those guys?

Maybe you're right.

In addition, if we plan to catch him we will need the glove as proof.

Okay, I'll catch him. See you at the back door of the garage.

It's fine, I'll wait for you.

Tommy has told me before and since then, I am between needles and pins.

I could not explain it to him.

Charlie found that man. I need the glove.

Who is it?

It's from Jerry's group. Now it's in the garage.

- I hope you're right. - I have to hurry up, honey.

Esc ndete here, Steve. Captain Linfield has just entered.

No, Steve, over here.

- Ah inside. - Thank you.

Hello, Captain Linfield.

Forgive the intrusion, Mrs. Blair, but we have been informed that Steve ...

... Reynolds has returned to the city and We thought that he could have come here.

Do not you think he's so stupid?

Sometimes people who love each other Many nonsense, Mrs. Blair.

Do you mind taking a look?

Absolutely. If you stay satisfied, go ahead.

"The study of necrophobia"

There's nobody outside, captain.

Look what's behind that door.

This is the room of my mother and mine. We do not like that nobody enters.

We'll just have a look, son.

No one.

Good evening, Mrs. Blair. Thanks for your collaboration.

Goodnight.

Oh, go!

Now, inform me.

Someone has had to flee for one of the bedroom windows.

- The window had the broken hook. - I assumed it.

I will not be back tonight. Starting From now on, we must watch the house.

Charlie!

Charlie!

My head!

Who has entered there?

I do not know. Probably the type that has done the same to me

Where?

In Jerry's office. I was looking for you.

I remember now. I was waiting for you in the alley, when someone hit me.

The type of the four fingers It must have come into its own.

Can. It is possible that Jerry I caught myself snooping.

It was not Jerry ... I guarantee it.

Jerry is dead and They have stolen the safe.

Jerry is dead!

It seems we lost the ship.

I would love to know how are we going to get out of this now?

I, in any case, will not get it. The police almost caught me.

It would probably have been better blow my head.

Forget it and go home.

Call the police. It is possible that you catch before you get to the border.

It will not work. He is too smart.

The best will be that I give up.

Do not be an idiot, You can still get it.

I can not continue like that.

Get out of here, Steve, or from the contract you will be caught.

- What do you think I've been talking about? - Come on, get out of here, you want?

Tommy! Tommy!

Open the window.

Warn mom.

Mabel, can you tell my mother come here for a moment?

Sure, Tommy.

Tommy wants to see you, Mrs. Blair.

Maybe he wants to eat again.

- What do you want this time, an ice cream? - No, Steve is here.

You've risked a lot coming here. Were you in the garage?

I arrived too late. The guy was gone.

I killed Jerry and I stole the safe.

- Where was Charlie? - He also arrived late.

They left him lying next to a car. He played his neck for me.

This looks really bad for me, Eileen.

It would be better if you give me before they blame me for this, too.

What do you mean by that, Steve?

Give me the glove. I need to Tell my story to the police.

- Are you sure what you want? - Sure, why do you ask?

I told you that Steve did not know nothing of that, mam .

Do not know what?

I will show it to you.

They are authentic!

How fast I have been!

I have been looking for a guy without a thumb.

I guess you're not so curious like me.

They must be worth a fortune.

- I wonder ...? - What?

I wonder if this is what I was looking for the police here.

It is impossible. Nobody knows except Tommy and me.

Tommy, what are you doing?

Mabel has been spying on us.

The pill yesterday listening behind the door and now he's calling someone for telephone.

Do you think he works for the police?

You can, but I think it's related with the guy who killed Jerry and Don.

How long it takes working for you?

I hired her for a week, when you went.

At that moment, the police did not try to find me here.

It must be related with the type of the glove.

I got work here, to let him know if I showed up.

My brother just called me, Mrs. Blair, you were not feeling very well.

I was wondering if I could leave now.

Claro Mabel, I will come out In a couple of minutes.

Thank you very much.

He's lying, mam .

Nobody called her. I saw her while dialing the number.

That proves it. Can I take your car?

- What are you going to do? - I'll follow her.

I have a feeling that will you meet with your friend ...

... to inform you of everything.

And if he sees you? Let the police handle it.

There is no time. It's going to start.

Bring the keys, Tommy. They are on the table.

Put the diamonds there.

Put them in the glove as they were. I want to show them to the police.

Mabel knows this. It will not be safe to keep them here.

I'd better take them with me.

Here

I put them here.

Wow, very clever.

And you save the glove again.

- Good luck, Steve. - Thanks friend.

Do not worry, mam . Steve knows how to take care of himself.

Go to bed, Tommy. It's too late.

Perd n for haberte Wait, Mabel.

Nothing's wrong, Mrs. Blair.

- Goodnight. - Goodnight.

How was the garage?

How long did you take?

Great. Then there is no need worry about diamonds.

Are you crazy, honey? Let's get out of the city before it's too late.

Agree, When are you going to come?

Well, you'll be here in half an hour. It will give me time to prepare.

Where have you been?

Charlie, I have a surprise for you.

We have followed the wrong track. I know who killed Jerry and Don.

- You know? - A friend of Mabel.

- Mabel? - The girl who works for Eileen.

- Is that safe? - Totally.

He will meet with her in half an hour.

We have to work fast because they are leaving the city.

How are we going to do it? Remember that guy is a murderer.

That's why I need your help.

We will wait for you outside in the hall and when it comes out, we attack it.

He's fine, he'll take the gun, just in case.

- Who is it? - A telegram.

Silence and we will not hurt you.

What are they doing?

It's fine, stupid, raise your hands.

I have told you that raise your hands

Charlie, I do not understand.

You're kidding

Do not download them.

- You mean that t ...? - Yes.

I eliminated the police.

Why? What did Don do to you?

Do you know? I did a little job on the east coast.

I got rid of the prison.

I agreed to pay him so that I'll leave you alone, but ...

... he became very greedy. So I got rid of him, forever.

- And why did you involve me? - You gave me the idea yourself.

When you insisted on driving yourself the truck.

- It's fine, give it to me. - To give you what?

As if you did not know. Give me the glove.

I do not have it.

Then Eileen has it.

Arms too much fuss for an old glove.

Do not make me believe that you do not know what is inside.

No, I do not know.

Sit, Steve.

Stay here with him. If he tries to escape, dispose him.

- Where do you go? - To see Eileen.

Do not take unnecessary risks.

Jerry kept us away some time and he forgot about the diamonds.

- Diamonds? - Yes, did not you really know?

Wait, Mabel. There is a way to do this without playing my neck.

Write what I tell you.

Cari o.

So you call her, do not you?

Cari o,

Charlie and I ...

... we fell into a trap.

I'm being held here ...

... while at l they send him ...

... with this note.

If you want to see me alive,

make...

... exactly what I tell you.

Give the glove to Charlie ...

... and do not call the police.

And sign with your name.

Handle it carefully. I just found out that the diamonds are hidden there.

Who has told you to put nothing of the diamonds?

Nobody, but if they ask her to change ...

... an old glove for my life, They'll think you're crazy.

You're right, Charlie.

I guess I do.

Find something to tie him with.

Now I'll go in Eileen's car and so everything will seem normal.

A client has arrived, Eileen.

I'm going.

Good morning

A cup of coffee.

- Thanks guys. Come back soon. - We will do it.

- What's the matter, Charlie? - Steve sent me.

He is in trouble.

Are there cops around here?

They were here a while ago.

- What happened to him? - I think that here explains everything to you.

Steve and I never decided look inside the glove.

And we all thought that that I did not have a thumb

Hello, Charlie, What are you doing here?

Steve is in serious trouble. Charlie has brought me a note from you.

Let me see it, mam .

But mam , here it says ...

All right...

Continue, What were you going to say?

Steve says do not call to the police.

But, how will we know if they will release him? if we give them the diamonds?

It is true, How will we know?

They do not care about Steve. They only want diamonds.

I hope you are right.

It would be better if we do what Steve says.

But I'm going with you.

Okay, but let's hurry before who think I've called the police ...

... and kill Steve.

You are an intelligent boy, Tommy.

I guess I would have to Take care of my mom.

- How are we going to go there? - I have your car. Steve said that what take

Tommy, take care of everything while I'm away.

Do not worry, mam , I'll take care of everything.

- Do you have the glove? - Here I take it.

- See you later, Tommy. See you around. - Bye.

- Charlie? - Yes, it's me.

Why did you bring it?

To make sure that you are in good hands.

You should not have come, honey.

It's okay, Steve. I was not deceived at any time.

A smart girl

Now give me that glove.

So you did not know anything of diamonds.

What have you done with them?

What have you done with them?

He does not know where they are.

The hiding places where not you can find them

I think he will.

For! I'll tell you where they are.

In the tobacco package What is above the table.

Wow, I love it Go back to see those things.

Are they all?

Good place to take them.

Thanks for the tobacco, friend.

Let's get out of here, I am getting nervous.

Lock it in the closet of the room.

Have you heard what he said? And without doing silly things.

Amord zala, so that it does not make noise.

You were a great partner, Steve.

I'm sorry to have to do this to you.

- Are you ready, Mabel? - I'm going.

That seems to be the matrícula. Check the number.

Wait a moment!

- Where are Reynolds and Mrs. Blair? - Ah up.

EncÃrgate of l.

Come on, get up.

You can go now

Today is your lucky day, Reynolds. Mabel gives f of it,

... so the charges will be withdrawn against you for the murder of Don Parker.

- Did you talk about Jerry Mason? - Yes, they killed him too.

We are stopping the rest of the band of Mason.

Then, Charlie could not resist to take all the money from the safe.

I still do not understand the relationship between l and Don Parker.

Parker was a policeman East of the country, and ...

... thanks to him, Charlie was arrested for the theft of valuable diamonds.

The diamonds never they got better.

I remember reading some of that case. It happened about four years ago.

True. And when they moved here Don met Charlie.

He supposed Charlie was still taking the diamonds.

And he began to blackmail him.

Exactly, and that cost him his life.

Unfortunately there are thousands of people who swore to serve the law and always ...

... there are some that they become corrupt.

- Captain, I appreciate it very much. - Thank the boy, not me.

He gave us the registration number of his mother's car.

Thanks to you, we locate the car right away.

I already told you that I I would take care of everything, mam .

I know I can trust you, Tommy.

Reynolds, sab a that offers a great reward for recovering the diamonds?

- Really? - Yes, and you'll get it.

You have the right to it, after what you have gone through.

Steve, it's fantastic. You can go back to the truck business.

And you'll be out of business innkeeper

Yes, Steve. You were lucky.

Stop 60 seconds and pick up to a stranger ...

... really changed all the course of your life.

You could have finished wrong, or even dead,

but this time, the destin favored you.
